Danielle Lafond(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-09-2021 The venue was incredible. We got married on top of the mountain and it was breathtaking. Even my guests that had a fear of heights could not get over the beauty of the mountain. The food was amazing and everyone was great to work with. We had our reception in the Haynes Room and only complaint would be the columns blocked the view for a lot of guests. I would switch the DJ and bar locations. Reviewed on 22-09-2021
Emily Dube(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-09-2020 Meg was a LIFESAVER! We planned a very last minute wedding with just our parents invited. There were all sorts of twists and turns but she made sure that everything came together and really went above and beyond. She was a great communicator and made sure that our day still happened, even with a change of location with only four hours to spare. Jay Peak will forever be a special place to us and Meg made it happen! THANK YOU MEG! For dinner we were able to dine at The Foundry and Cheryl stepped in to make sure that was perfect. Right down to the random strangers buying us champagne, we felt loved and supported all day. Thank you so much to the Jay Peak staff!! Reviewed on 19-09-2020

Our wedding coordinators Aimmi & Meg were so helpful along the way; eager to get on phone calls, make changes, recommendations, suggestions, basically anything and everything they could do to make our dream wedding come true. The days before the wedding, Aimmi made sure she was available for any questions/concerns/etc. On the actual wedding day Aimmi made sure everything went smoothly....They were just phenomenal!!!! The food all weekend was delicious (rehearsal dinner, reception, morning after breakfast). Guests loved that there were shuttles all around the resort...no driving! Benjamin Partridge(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-05-2018 We are extremely happy with our decision to have our May wedding at Jay. While there were definitely some bumps in the road, with the help of our amazing wedding coordinator Jason, our day was perfect. While Jay is a bit isolated and a pain to get to, our guests loved the resort. Here are our pros and cons:PROS:-Jay is a gorgeous venue. From the wedding barn to the Clubhouse Tent (where we had our reception), everything was lovely. Highlights include the tram ride!-Our amazing coordinator Jason (who unfortunately is not longer at Jay) really made sure our day was spectacular and was present at all wedding events. He went above and beyond to make our day special. -We were able to personalize a lot of aspects of our wedding. For our rehearsal at the Clubhouse Grille we had a customized British themed menu. The chef did a brilliant job and all the Brits in our contingent were impressed. -The staff at the rehearsal dinner and reception were great.-Meal pricing is reasonable & the food was good. We were able to customize our menu from Jay’s different tiers.-The resort is great for those traveling from out of state. There are plenty of restaurants & numerous activities for guests.CONS:-Our initial planning process and communication with Jay was a nightmare. The Jay's sales manager we worked with (who is no longer there) initially made us question whether Jay Peak was the right choice for our wedding.-Alcohol is extortionately expensive.-It was sometimes confusing trying to find correct pricing lists and information as Jay isn’t great at making sure prices and documents across their websites are all the same. -While there were a lot of rooming options, Jay’s room booking process was a headache. Their online booking system was extremely finicky. Overall we have no regrets hosting our ceremony and reception at Jay as it provided a wonderful backdrop to our wedding and catered to our guests very well. Just be prepared for a few planning headaches. Reviewed on 25-06-2018
Nicole Avery(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-10-2017 If I could give them 0 stars I would. Their customer service and overall wedding planning skills could be improved by a lot. As the bride and groom they made everything that much more stressful leading up to and the day of the wedding. Everything from the groom having a worm in his salad, to the shuttle late picking up the wedding party as well as the resort not fulfilling or wedding pictures at the top of the mountain which we’re in our contract from day one. It was less than a “memorable” experience by far. The list goes on. There’s not enough bad to say about this resort. Reviewed on 21-02-2018
Connie L(wedding party)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-11-2018 Our daughter was married at Jay Peak resort in August 2017 and had a wonderful experience. Originally, an outdoor wedding at the Valley Ponds was planned, but the weather didn't fully cooperate and the ceremony was held at the Barn. We were very happy with the change of venue. Beautiful flowers on the grounds and beautiful views, made it a great setting for photos. Our wedding coordinator ( Amanda R.) helped us throughout the day calling to check in and consult about the change in ceremony location. Pat Wilder, was in charge of day care services, and she helped us arrange a pizza party for the children who were not attending the ceremony. Staff in the hotel were very helpful when making the centerpieces giving us a place to store and make the centerpieces before the wedding. Shuttle service is a big plus as no one had to drive. The Waterpark was a big hit with many guests especially as it was a rainy morning/early afternoon. Most of our guests were out of town guests and it was great having everyone stay at Jay Peak. There are a lot of options for accommodations to meet the price point of the guests, from staying at the hotels to renting a condo for families and friends. I would highly recommend a wedding at Jay Peak Resort. Reviewed on 20-10-2017
Emily Rodil(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-11-2018 The Jay Peak wedding staff has had a rough summer, as indicated in an August 2017 review. Our review will also be honest about that, but please know that our wedding was *still* incredible and that the new staff is exceptional.During our wedding planning process, we were bounced around between coordinators a couple of times, which was frustrating. About a month before the wedding, our latest coordinator abruptly left her position and we were handed back to the Wedding & Social Events Sales Manager as our interim coordinator. She also had a few new coordinators on calls with her to help her sort out our wedding. Apparently our previous coordinator did not leave notes, so we had to basically start the planning process all over again with the Sales Manager, with a month left to go. Both our previous coordinator and the Sales Manager were hard to get ahold of, and the Sales Manager did not respond to our emails until I resorted to calling the GM of Jay Peak. Needless to say, my husband and I were very nervous come wedding weekend. Our weekend certainly had a few hiccups, but Jason and Jenessa, two newer coordinators, did a fabulous job of picking up the pieces that were unfortunately left for them from the turnover. Jason did most of our coordinating, and was there every step of the way—texting us to ask how things were going, showing up at our rehearsal dinner to check in on things personally, and being a constant reminder that he was there for us, and that this was our day. We couldn’t have been happier to have him on our side, helping us through what was certainly a rough experience for us and for him. He was absolutely incredible. Jay Peak is lucky to have him.Regarding the venue itself: everything was perfect. The venues where we took first look photos, where we had our ceremony, and where we had our reception were unreal (respectively being the top of Jay, the Garden Valley Pond, and the Clubhouse Tent). Everything was beautiful, and we were lucky to have some good weather on our side. Choosing the Clubhouse Grille for our rehearsal dinner and the Foundry for our after-party was also a good decision and everything was delicious. We loved that everything you could possibly need is located on-site, and that all our guests were in a single location with easy access to a shuttle to get wherever you needed to go. The staff along every step of the way—from check-in for the wedding, to the rehearsal dinner, to the wait staff and bartender during our reception—was incredibly friendly and happy to be a part of our big day. We loved every minute of it.TL;DR: The staff turnover and the Sales Manager made wedding planning really difficult, but the new staff—shoutout to Jason—is phenomenal. The venue choices are plentiful and all are beautiful. We loved our wedding at Jay Peak. Reviewed on 27-09-2017
Our issues:-There is a new wedding coordinator as of Nov/Dec 2016- her attitude and unprofessional manner day of was our biggest shock. The reservations team was never once on the same page. Still answering our guests with mixed or incorrect information until day of the wedding.-Our timeline. First we were told we couldn't make changes to the timeline they sent. We only wanted to change minor things about our photographs and being with our guests. For some reason it became a big issue and then they cc'ed myself and one of my vendors on an internal email where they were speaking rudely and inappropriately about us. When I brought this up the timeline was changed instantly but I never received an apology or acknowledgement of the mistake.-Their internal communication was a mess-- the bar gave out drinks that were supposed to be saved for myself and my bride's maids among other issues with our planned bar set up.-We had a buffet dinner and they ran out of mashed potatoes before everyone got to have a first serving. Never offering to make more or fix the problem.-After the wedding, no one ever reached out to us to see if everything went ok, if we had a good wedding, or anything. Our wedding night we were placed in a Tramhaus suite-so perfect. Gorgeous views of the mountain, comfortable space, and a sweet balcony to have coffee on our first morning as a married couple. All of our guests were extremely happy with their accommodations. Our rehearsal dinner was at Alice's Table and dessert was s'mores around the fire pits out on the patio. This was perfection. Everything was delicious, service was great, and wedding coordinator/planner were extremely attentive. Our ceremony was down the hill at a nearby church but cocktail hour was in the Haynes Room which worked out well. We had the reception in the International Room and it was perfect. Aimmi, Heather, and the rest of the staff were super understanding, accommodating, reassuring, and sweet as we prepped the room the day before our wedding and enjoyed it the following night. Food was again, great. Service was spot on. Space comfortably fit our 144 guests. The whole process was just great. The planner and coordinator were super organized and happy to make regular adjustments. They knew the ins and outs of wedding planning and clearly had lots of experience dealing with parents and large families. Hannah King(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-08-2015 We had both our reception and ceremony at Jay Peak, but I will specifically address the ceremony site here. The value for the entire venue seemed on par with other ski mountains, except that the resort was able to offer the added services of a full-scale wedding venue, instead of the usual selection at other ski mountains we saw. \r\rWe had 2 full sound setups at the top of the mountain, and though it is standing room only and guests find that confusing in concept, we heard nothing but wonderful comments about how it turned out. The music and atmosphere at the top were magical. \r\rOf the entire wedding, this ceremony site required the most \"do-it-yourself\" decorating, however, it would be beautiful without the extra touches of a runner, chuppah, etc, if that's not your style. Being skiers, it was an added bonus to make friends and family go up in a tram 4000 for the first time. Reviewed on 18-09-2015
Kelsey Muraik(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-06-2015 We booked a rehearsal dinner for 25 people at 730PM.\r\rThe dinner comes with tram ride tickets, so we went up on the tram at 6PM as a pre-dinner fun event. This was so nice, a little time to wander around and take in the view. This helped my husabnd and I unstress a bit.\r\rWhen we got back to Alice's Table for dinner, I was embarrased. They had a big event that evening, but didn't prep the restaurants to serve more guests nor did they make sure to only seat a number of people they could feed. The restaurant had no table for us, so they put some tables together separate from there normal outdoor seating. We were all confused, no one came over to tell us if it was self - serve from the get go or order drinks. After some time we got one drink order in and a few people ventured inside to the buffet. The buffet had no food, I mean NO food. Occasionally they filled a tray, but it was sporadic and not swift. We all ate little bits of whatever was left, a few folks with children stood inside and waited until items were filled that their children could eat. We never saw the waitress again, so no more drinks or service. \r\rI understand a busy restaurant, but if you take reservatiosn for large parties, you shouldnt' seat an extra few hundred people early in the evening that you haven't prepared food for. \r\rWe ended up explaining this to our coordinator who offered to give a small monetary refund, I would not recommend Alice's Table for a rehearsal dinner or the BBQ. \r\rAll of our guests who ate at The Foundry, said their food was great! Even if it's a little more money, it is well worth it. Reviewed on 31-07-2015

PLanning a wedding in VErmont when you live in California is not easy, but Heather was such a help with pictures, phone calls and emails that we had no worries at all!
