I am so glad that we had our wedding and reception at the Nickerson House. We booked the house for the whole day, which made for a calm and easy wedding day since everything happened on site. We had some hiccups with change of personnel a few months before the event, but Christie and Donell picked up all my notes and made it happen! Christie was a critical part of the whole operation - she made sure high quality valet service was present, she coached our ring-bearer and flower kids how to walk down the aisle, she personally contacted all our vendors beforehand so she knew what they needed, and (most importantly) she kept the drama of planning a wedding to a minimum. Our goal was to have a simple wedding and to host an elegant party for 160+ guests. It ended up being way more complicated than I expected, but Christie took the reigns from me and executed a perfect day. I’m convinced that she even made the weather perfect. Originally, we booked this venue because the house and grounds are gorgeous, but having Christie and her crew on our team is what made the event memorable for us. PRO-TIP: go ahead and book a room at the Maison Mouton House down the street, it will be so easy to just walk over after your reception instead of going to a whole other place with your bags and all. But make sure to wake up on time for the 8:30am breakfast because it doesn’t last long!

We just got married here and I can’t recommend it enough. The location is convenient for out of town guests and is classically beautiful inside and out.. The downright stunning architecture comes through in all our photos and was noticed by all our guests. The pavilion was perfect for a dreamy southern style reception. I HIGHLY recommend renting the entire Mouton Bed and Breakfast, attached by a concrete foot trail, for day of getting ready events as well as for traveling overnight guests. Jennifer is the manager for both and is amazing. She was so helpful the entire way through the end. Actually, the entire staff for both Nickerson and Mouton were fabulous. If you are looking for a stunning venue with a staff to handle all of the craziness the day of and before can bring... this is your spot.
