The Marriott was the perfect venue for our wedding! Our day went perfectly thanks to the incredible team of Wes, Krista, and Bridgette. Wes and Krista were easy to contact by email anytime we had questions. They made the planning process very easy and stress free. The food at the tasting and at the reception was delicious too! The reception was set up just the way we wanted and Bridgette made sure everything went as planned the day of. We are so thankful to the Marriott for helping us make our dream wedding a reality! Highly recommend this venue!

The Marriott was great to work with… They were very flexible on options and tried to accommodate us the best they could. Bridget, the banquet captain, was amazing, she was so sweet and even came up to me the night of the reception and wished me congratulations. We had a lot of allergies in our family too and she took that very seriously. Also her personality just rocks. The staff was all friendly and prompt, I don’t feel like any of our food was delayed coming out. The venue was set up as we asked and everything we requested was executed perfectly. I noticed no mishaps if there were any behind the scenes! Krista, the events coordinator, was really responsive to emails and communicated really well. She made sure all the details were as I wanted them. We had a lot of out-of-town guests, and they seemed that the hotel accommodations were fine. Of course there are always some cons when planning an event this large but they were all minor and able to resolved. There is always room to improve but what was offered was perfect for what we were looking for! It was truly the best day ever!!!

Robin and Morgan along with their other personnel went above and beyond in many, many instances. They were absolutely great to work with! Pleasant and efficient in every way. Our daughter’s a wedding reception was at the Marriott in September. Everything went smoothly, punctual, and the staff was super helpful! Robin and Michelle were so helpful before, during and after the event! They helped sent up and I know my daughter was very thorough with instructions, everything was followed exceptionally!!! I am the mother of the bride, and dealt with the Marriott and the staff from the beginning. What a truly wonderful experience. Anna Singleton was beyond any expectation I ever dreamed of. She is fantastic!!! Morgan was patient, kind and had everything noted and together for the room block. Even the front desk staff, they were patient, kind and truly went beyond expectations. The venue was beautiful, the food was fantastic. I do not think we could have asked for a better experience.

We used this hotel for our hotel block! Our church was downtown and the reception was on the plaza. This was the perfect location for our guests. Everyone loved the hotel and we were very pleased with our service. No complaints and would definitely recommend!

We had our December wedding at the nearby Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art, and reserved a block of hotel rooms for our out of town guests. Anna was very helpful and accommodating. The rooms were nice and very conveniently located next to the wedding venue, Westport, and The Plaza.

We used the Marriott on the plaza for our group block of rooms. Since we got married in December, I loved the thought of guests being off the plaza and getting to enjoy the plaza holiday lights! With that being said, it is off main street and not off the plaza directly so there is quite a bit of traffic and they didn't have a shuttle system we could use for our guests (this would have had to be something we set up and paid for on our own). They were great and super helpful in coordination of our guests welcome bags. It was a bit frustrating getting the honeymoon suite organized because we were told it would be comped with our number of guest rooms but that wasn't the case. There were a couple guests whose rooms got bounced around and one couple who's room was affected with smoke from a fire and they weren't comped anything for the inconvenience. Overall, I (the bride) had a good experience but feel bad knowing not all my guests would say the same.

Our Family and Friends could not have had a better stay than we did! Our daughter was married in Kansas City and 80% of the guests were from out of town and most stayed at The Marriott where we had a wedding block of rooms. The staff was so accommodating from the time we viewed the hotel 10 months ago all the way through the entire 3-5 day stay. The hotel is beautiful and all the suites we booked had a fabulous view of The Plaza. Such a wonderful stay !!

Our Family and Friends could not have had a better stay than we did! Our daughter was married in Kansas City and 80% of the guests were from out of town and most stayed at The Marriott where we had a wedding block of rooms. The staff was so accommodating from the time we viewed the hotel 10 months ago all the way through the entire 3-5 day stay. The hotel is beautiful and all the suites we booked had a fabulous view of The Plaza. Such a wonderful stay !!

This venue was excellent on many levels. First of all Anna Singleton, the wedding and event specialist, was the best! She was on top of everything - we booked a year in advance and she would regularly check in with us making sure we were meeting all deadlines. She was very responsive and patient with all of our questions. Anna was great to work with. She also had great ideas and suggestions to make the day special. Everyone else was wonderful as well; Morgan who was the guest room coordinator and Carissa in Audio Visual who came up with some beautiful lighting ideas. The front desk was also so helpful when we were unloading, answering questions and giving recommendations for restaurants etc. for our guests. The rooms were lovely - we had a suite and were able to host some family and friends in our room with beautiful views overlooking the Plaza. The bar and lobby area was perfect as we were able to visit with our friends and family who had traveled to KC in a nice comfortable setting. So many of our guests have commented on how well everything went not only at the reception, but what a nice hotel it was and how helpful and friendly the staff all were.As for the reception, literally nothing went wrong. We were able to enjoy the evening and spend time with family and friends and didn't have to worry about anything. We highly recommend the Marriott Country Club Plaza for any event.

We loved having a Fri. evening reception for all of our out of town guests at the Marriott country Club Plaza . Our son's wedding was Sept. 22 and our groom's light reception was Fri. Sept.21. Our event planner worked with us graciously and answered so many questions and suggested many options for the event. We ordered a cheese display first, then we enjoyed a salad bar and a chef-created pasta bar. My guests said it was delicious! I almost forgot-- wonderful breadsticks included! The staff was very attentive and served kids' meals as requested! Thanks so much!

Working with Anna and Morgan for the block and the suites to get ready on my wedding day was amazing! The staff was great- they even brought up our Panera that we delivered that morning to both the suites! Anna and Morgan were available anytime I needed to see the suites or had a question I needed answered, they were on it! Also, the remodel of the hotel looks incredible! It is such a convenient hotel to any location on the plaza and nearby! You need to book with the Kansas City Marriott!

We used the Marriott as one of our room block providers for a wedding. This hotel is well located near the Plaza for guests to access shopping and restaurants during their stay. The staff was friendly and helpful and distributed gift bags at check-in at no charge.

We used the Marriott Country Club Plaza for my daughter's wedding party and family to stay over during the weekend of her wedding. The hotel is beautiful! My daughter stayed in the Deluxe King room. It's a corner room with windows all around with a beautiful view of the plaza. The natural light and size made it the perfect room for her and her bridesmaids to do their hair and makeup. Anna Singleton was our contact and I can't say enough good things about her. From the beginning to the end she was always going out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed for our stay. She was an absolute pleasure to work with!! I would highly recommend this hotel and Anna if you are looking for the perfect hotel for your wedding party.

After meeting Anna Singleton and see the hotel the decision was made!Anna was very friendly and extremely professional and knowledgeable. The entire staff was great.We had regular rooms all the way to the suite on 18. We were so pleased with all the rooms.The used a meeting room for the hospitality suite and brunch. It was also perfect.I look forward to using the Marriot again!

After meeting Anna Singleton and see the hotel the decision was made!Anna was very friendly and extremely professional and knowledgeable. The entire staff was great.We had regular rooms all the way to the suite on 18. We were so pleased with all the rooms.The used a meeting room for the hospitality suite and brunch. We had the rehearsal dinner for by Son's wedding on May 4, 2018 which was a wonderful Friday evening at the Marriott in the Plaza Terrace Room. Anna Singleton was our contact for the event from beginning to end. Anna was wonderful. We communicated by emails after our first in person meeting. The sirloin strip, salmon and chicken were all excellent and the staff working the event was wonderful. The bartender and wait staff took care of all items without issues. Since we had the Plaza Terrace Room there was a balcony that we were able to use to enjoy the evening weather. Everyone that attended raved about the excellent space, atmosphere, food and staff. Thank you to the Marriott for having an excellent staff. Thanks to Anna Singleton for all of her expert advice and communications.

Our daughter was married last week. We began working with Anna Singleton about 14 months ago at the Marriott Country Club Plaza. She was exceptional to work with in every way. Questions were promptly answered, she provided advice based on her vast experience and she was invested and engaged in making the wedding reception special!From the moment we arrived at the hotel the staff were friendly, the rooms had been redone and were very comfortable, the staff courteous and very service oriented. I would highly recommend the Marriott and staff for anyone's special occasion!

Great place for your guests to stay. We had 15 couples sty there for our daughters wedding. Anna did a wonderful job of getting us all set up and her follow through was excellent. The rooms there are great, and the staff was extremely accommodating. The food at the restaurants we used was excellent as well. I highly recommend using this Marriott for your business or personal business. We will definitely use them again.

She was on it with details, request, questions, recommendations, etc. She made me feel like I was her top bride, and truly aided me through what could have been a stressful process, but with her help and the Marriott staff, it was great. Tanner (banquet captain), Ron (setup), Jon and Steve (bartenders) were exceptional. Every detail was made perfect because of this dynamic staff. My guest were thoroughly impressed with the hotel. Literally the best reception venue !!!! We had a December wedding and wanted our guests to enjoy the plaza lights. We could not have picked a more perfect location! The Marriott was so accommodating to every single guest visiting Kansas City for our wedding. We are still receiving compliments from family and friends about the amazing service, location, rooms, and everything! Most of our guests came from St. Louis, Mo, and they were so impressed with the venue. Anna, the coordinator there...is AMAZING. She was so easy to work with and so kind. They made the reception flawless, and there is no need to flip the room after the fun is over. You are able to wait until the next day. I can’t say enough about this venue!!

The Marriott is the most perfect place to have your wedding! It’s located in a great spot at the Country Club Plaza. Great to sneak out and take pictures. The team helps you with everything you need. Everything down to catering, tables, linens, sound you name it. Anna is amazing at what she does and is always there if you have any questions. My husband and I were only engaged for 2 months and with all the help from the hotel and their lovely staff we were able to have my dream wedding! Definitely recommend the Marriott for your wedding or big event.

With all of our out of town guests, it was the perfect location to access not just our wedding venue, but also the Plaza for our out of town guests. The entire staff from the valet team to the front desk and cleaning services were so helpful and accommodating. The rooms were also perfect for our large bridal parties (9 on each side!)! The hair/makeup crew also fit perfectly in the suite. We needed a first look spot and we were able to use the balcony on the 3rd floor which made for beautiful pictures for us to have forever.We worked with Anna as our coordinator and she made sure everything was perfect! Thank you to Anna and the team for being the perfect host for our wedding weekend!

Marriott need to keep this gem!Staff - The entire staff made us feel like royalty....I never wanted for anything because they were on top of it all. This includes all of the staff at the door who helped us with all the heavy lifting to the lobby bar staff who we definitely put to work every night, to the staff that served us and almost became family by the end of the night. We also loved the front desk and shuttle since we had someone who had to go to the emergency room (took our guest there and also helped her get her prescription). Above and beyond is all I can say!!!Hotel - Guest rooms were great....especially ours! Beds were very comfortable. The venue had spectacular views! We took a cool picture in front of the art work in the lobby that was stunning - totally recommend it!Food - We went with the filet, asparagus and dauphinoise potatoes. It was all cooked perfectly...and the filet was extremely tender. Very much exceeded our expectations!Price - very affordable and worth every penny!!!! My wife and I each stayed in one of the Deluxe suites the night before with our bridal party. The rooms were huge and provided a great deal of space to relax with our friends and get ready on wedding day. The view from the room was fantastic. You see the entire Plaza area and almost into downtown from the 180 degree panoramic style windows. The bathrooms, living area and bedrooms are a perfect modern style that my wife and I love.We had our first look at the hotel and our pictures are beautiful. The space yields so many unique areas for memorable pictures you probably can’t get anywhere else. Our pictures from the day of events at the hotel are some of our favorites. We stayed in the deluxe suite again our wedding night and were greeted with chilled champagne and chocolate covered strawberries.Anna, the wedding and event coordinator, was a pleasure to work with. She was always responsive, helpful, patient and a treat to talk to. The front desk staff, valet and anyone else you came across from the hotel staff always smiled and asked what they could do to help. The updates the hotel has made pay off BIG!! If you want to experience a great day of atmosphere, a modern and elegant place for your guests to stay and a boat load of memories that won’t fade stay here at this excellent hotel.

Worked with Anna throughout the year in coordinating our wedding for about 300. I couldn't have asked for any better service than she gave us while getting everything setup. We initially went to her and said all we knew is that we wanted to throw a party and didn't really care about all the small details. She took care of the small stuff for us and also worked with us on getting the bar set the way we wanted. She was easy to work with on the room block and was quick to respond to any question or request that we had. She was available to the last minute for our reception.\r\rThe day of the reception went on without any problems that we know of. We had around 225 there for 5 hours of open bar and didn't hear any complaints from any of our guests about waiting in lines or not getting what they need. Food was also wonderful and they can adapt for any dietary needs for your guests.\r\rOverall, I wouldn't change a thing, especially using the Marriott. Anna put us in a position to just answer questions instead of trying coordinate everything behind the wedding. We initially had sticker shock, but once we started putting together all the costs at other venues that are included at the Marriott, the costs were pretty much the same. Also, beautiful rooms for a great price that they offer for your room block.

She was available to the last minute for our reception.\r\rThe day of the reception went on without any problems that we know of. We had around 225 there for 5 hours of open bar and didn't hear any complaints from any of our guests about waiting in lines or not getting what they need. Food was also wonderful and they can adapt for any dietary needs for your guests.\r\rOverall, I wouldn't change a thing, especially using the Marriott. Anna put us in a position to just answer questions instead of trying coordinate everything behind the wedding. We initially had sticker shock, but once we started putting together all the costs at other venues that are included at the Marriott, the costs were pretty much the same. Also, beautiful rooms for a great price that they offer for your room block.

Anna makes it happen!\rWe looked at a few places for our wedding, but after meeting with Anna, we knew the reception was going to be in good hands. She worked with us on everything that we wanted to happen and made last minute changes happen without making it seem stressful. We loved the staff and the entire stay for us and our guests was amazing. Even the next morning, the staff was congratulating us and the barista at the Starbucks gave me a free coffee! I'll be honest, the Marriott was not a place I had initially considered for our wedding reception. We had looked at several other places and were facing a lot of issues either with dates, size of ballrooms, or not liking the customer service we were receiving. When we came across the Marriott it was like a breath of fresh air! The ballroom is beautiful, it's in a great location, and it was at a very reasonable price and a ballroom large enough for us. \r\rAnna was SO helpful and easy to coordinate with. She was very quick to respond to e-mails and help with any questions or ideas that I had. If there was anything we couldn't do she offered alternatives which I really appreciated. My parents loved Anna as well and it was so nice that we all felt that we could trust her to make sure everything went smoothly. She did a great job of explaining how everything would go and made the planning process so much easier for me and my family.\r\rThe weekend of our wedding/reception, everything was PERFECT! The Valet, Concierge and Wait Staff were amazing. All so helpful and polite! All of our family and friends had an amazing time and loved the location of the hotel. A majority of my family came from California or the East Coast and were not familiar with Kansas City and the location of the Marriott was wonderful, being right next to the plaza. \r\rI cannot say enough about how great the Marriott and their Staff! I could not be happier with my decision to have our wedding reception there.

We loved the venue, the staff, and the service. No other hotel on the plaza was able to accommodate the number of people and keep the cost reasonable. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding. You will love working with Anna, as she is extremely knowledgeable and is willing to help with more than just the reception.

We loved the venue, the staff, and the service. No other hotel on the plaza was able to accommodate the number of people and keep the cost reasonable. We had my daughter's wedding dinner and reception at the Marriott Country Club Plaza location. I can't say enough about the staff. Anna, the coordinator, was friendly and professional. She provided us with excellent ideas to pick our needs. We served 150 guest. The food was presentation was great and most important good. We had selected the ham/brisket duo dinner. I believe the price was very reasonable for the value. \r\rWe had approx. 270 guests at the reception. We had two bars and the dance floor plus use of the corridor. \r\rThe bell and front desk staff was excellent. Always available to help. They were friendly and always accommodating. All Marriott employees had us feel special and made my daughter's day truly unforgettable .

Michael Poppa was our coordinator at the Marriott and he was amazing! He bent over backwards for us at every turn and we had no issues. It was great that they took care of receiving everything from our vendors and setting up everything in the room. I didn't even walk in the ballroom until my husband and I were announced and everything had been done perfectly. It was an amazing event that was stress-free because of the great service provided by the Marriott. It was also nice to not have to clean up at the end of the night! They gave us so many extras too. The hotel was recently renovated and is modern and up-to-date. I definitely recommend this venue to other brides!
