Where to start? Kent Island Resort was my dream venue from the moment I set foot on the property while searching for the perfect wedding location. The entire experience unfolded seamlessly from the beginning. Naomi, our wedding coordinator, was not only helpful but incredibly attentive throughout the entire planning process. Working with her was an absolute delight. The excellence extended to every aspect of our celebration â from the food to the bartenders and the hotel staff, everything was truly amazing. I received numerous compliments about the exceptional quality of the food, and using blue crab cupcakes for our wedding cake added a unique and delightful touch. My wedding surpassed all my expectations, and I owe it to the entire Kent Island staff for making every dream of mine come true. I am genuinely grateful and, if given the chance, ready to relive it all over again!

Where to start? Kent Island Resort was my dream venue from the moment I set foot on the property while searching for the perfect wedding location. The entire experience unfolded seamlessly from the beginning. Naomi, our wedding coordinator, was not only helpful but incredibly attentive throughout the entire planning process. Working with her was an absolute delight. The excellence extended to every aspect of our celebration â from the food to the bartenders and the hotel staff, everything was truly amazing. I received numerous compliments about the exceptional quality of the food, and using blue crab cupcakes for our wedding cake added a unique and delightful touch. My wedding surpassed all my expectations, and I owe it to the entire Kent Island staff for making every dream of mine come true. I am genuinely grateful and, if given the chance, ready to relive it all over again!

Kent Island was everything we wanted it to be and more. The staff was extremely professional and supportive, providing constant communication and accounting for all feedback with the utmost respect. Cheyenne was our coordinator and we were blown away by her attention to detail and reception of our input. She couldnât have been more communicative throughout the whole process and was present and available throughout our entire wedding day. If we had a question, it was answered immediately. If we had a concern it was addressed immediately. The weather wasnât ideal on our wedding day, and Cheyenne was completely receptive and collaborative to our preferences as we needed to pivot quickly. The food at the venue was amazing and the bar service was impossible to beat. Luckily we wonât need to plan another wedding, but if we did, weâd 100% go back to Kent Island.

We had our reception at the Farmstead at Kent Island Resort on 11/18 and it was a true fairy tale! Cheyenne was our coordinator throughout the planning process and Naomi took care of our day-of coordination, and they both were nothing short of fantastic! Cheyenne helped us throughout the whole planning process. I was a very plan ahead bride, but Cheyenne was super helpful and patient throughout the whole process. Anytime we had questions or needed anything she was on it! Naomi was there for our final detail meeting with Cheyenne and then took care of our actual wedding day. Naomi was also great with communication and very attentive of anything we wanted or needed that day. She was kind, helpful and on top of it! The venue is so beautiful that we opted for few decorations, but anything we did drop off to be put out for our wedding was taken care of. The food was EXCELLENT and the staff that helped out the day of were all friendly and very attentive.

WOW! Kent Island Resort truly made our wedding dreams come true. We planned our whole wedding weekend at the resort. We hosted our rehearsal dinner and welcome drinks at the Garden House and wedding day at the Farmstead. We also had our immediate family staying at the inn. We worked with Mackenzie and Naomi who were amazing and truly just wanted to make sure we had the best weekend, and we did. We have gotten nothing but RAVE reviews from our guests. The food and drinks were amazing and surpassed all wedding food I have ever had. The inn staff was also extremely welcoming and helped our guests with anything they needed. The only negative experience we had was internal miscommunication. We had signed our contract before a ton of changes were put into place, which sometimes weren't relayed to our venue manager, but their staff was willing to work with us and never made it difficult to work through. There were even some last minute changes the week before and there staff came to the rescue to make what we wanted, happen. Overall, we can't recommend this place enough. It was just the most beautiful day and a lot of it has to do with the staff who put their hearts into our day. We can't thank everyone enough!!

Kent Island Resort was an absolute dream!! We only toured 2 venues while on our search for the perfect wedding venue and immediately were in awe of Kent Island Resort. Naomi was our wedding coordinator and she was extremely attentive and responded quickly to emails. Not only were we pleased with the initial tour with our sales manager, we then were shocked at how organized the tasting was prior to the wedding, allowing us to try the foods, view the venue âset up like a weddingâ, and taste the blue crab cupcakes that are included in your wedding package. But when it came down to Sunday, 11.12.23, our wedding day, we were completely blown away!! Kent island Resort and their staff pay attention to every detail and ensure your wedding day goes smoothly and is nothing but perfection. I truly felt like a princess being catered to. Our friends and family continue to rave about the food and friendly staff, along with how beautiful the venue is. I wouldnât change a thing about our wedding day and am so glad we chose Kent Island!

They made sure my husband and I were always taken care of as well as the guest but I am beyond satisfied with how they provided above and beyond service to us on the day of. We are so happy we chose Kent Island Resort as the venue for our wedding! Our wedding was everything we could have ever dreamed it would be thanks to the beautiful venue and all of the staff. All of our guests raved about how great the food was as well. All of the staff was so kind, but our coordinator Cheyenne made our day absolutely perfect. She was so patient with all of our last minute changes and answered every question we had. She truly made our day so much easier and helped make it beautiful. Kent Island Resort will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

Look no further as you have found the perfect wedding venue complete with staff who will truly go above and beyond to ensure your day is everything you envisioned. I came across this venue when my MOH was helping me browse venues and I first met Naomi when I scheduled a tour. The search was over after instantly meeting Naomi. Yes, the venue was pretty and the scenery was cute but after meeting Naomi I knew I wanted to work with her and she was someone I needed in my corner. From day one she was all in. Incredibly responsive, helpful and kind. Despite some challenges we faced she constantly showed up for me. Naomi went above and beyond doing more that was ever in her job description. Kent Island is a beautiful dreamy venue but Naomi executed and made our wedding everything we hoped it would be and more. We are so grateful to have crossed paths.

The Kent Island Resort and their staff made all of my wedding dreams come true. First off, their staff is above and beyond excellence. Cheyenne was my venue coordinator and she was so attentive, supportive and gave amazing feedback throughout the entire planning process. Every time I spoke with her she helped to make sure everything was organized, and that I was not stressed one bit. The day of our wedding was nothing less than perfect, all thanks to Cheyenne helping to bring all of my plans come to life. The rest of the staff was also amazing. The entire catering crew was so attentive. They made sure all of the food was constantly refilled, attended to any guests needs and were so thoughtful always asking me and my husband if we needed anything. I couldn't stop getting praises from all of our guests on the quality of food and the ability to always have a drink in hand. Finally, the venue was so beautiful. We ended up having close to Kent Island's minimum for the Farmstead (150 guests). I was worried with such a big reception space that it would look a little empty, however, the staff laid everything out in a way that made it seem perfect for our size. For the Farmstead being a newer venue, their staff really knew how to execute perfect weddings there. I would recommend to anyone looking!

A bulleted list, as I am not known for my brevity:- Cheyenne, our wedding coordinator, lived up to the trophy we gave her: MVP. She communicated well, made the day seamless, and helped us find a specialty vendor for our specific vision. Very Olivia Pope âitâs handledâ vibes. We felt well cared for and had full trust in her. - The food. While my wife and I were the stars, the food definitely was the belle of the ball. The filet was a perfect medium rare beauty, everything came out hot for our 160 guests, just delicious. Their baking partners at Blue Crab made INCREDIBLE cupcakes - shout out to the snickerdoodle cheesecake bars- The farmstead venue itself is gorgeous. We kept being asked where we found this place and I am going to say it was the internet with a pinch of fate. It was the first venue we toured and we knew this was the place. -Well oiled machine. This place does WED-đ -DINGS đ, my friends. I felt zero stress. - Welcoming. I am a trans non-binary human and my wife is, well, my wife and we felt like any other couple which is exactly what we were looking for. Nothing demonstrative, just another pair of weirdos getting hitched on a Sunday. - Thoughtful. Neither of us drink, and they made sure our champagne glasses were filled with cider. Just those little touches that made us feel cared for.

We had the absolute pleasure of working with Cheyenne, Mackenzie, and the Kent Island Resort team for our 9/2/23 wedding. We opted to have our reception at the Farmstead and were married outside under the arbor right next to the Farmstead with beautiful rolling green fields as the backdrop. Cheyenne was very flexible with us as we had several last minute seating changes and she was incredibly responsive throughout the entire process. She helped us plan every step of the way and coordinate our day of timeline and manage our vendor arrivals/setup. The Farmstead space is modern, clean, and all of the staff were absolutely lovely. Our guests absolutely loved the firepits and indoor/outdoor cocktail space being available to us all night long. The bridal suite is spacious and a great setting to get ready in and not have to stress about getting ready offsite and getting everybody to the event space with all of our belongings. I highly recommend Kent Island Resort and especially the Farmstead space for your wedding! You will not regret it!

Where do we even begin.... Kent Island Resort is one of the most beautful locations for a wedding you can imagine. From the touring and booking process in September 2021 to the Sunday cleanup in September 2023 , everything was absolutely perfect. Mackenzie and Cheyenne are the most amazing coordinators you'll find with their very high attention to detail and incredible level of patience. They were there at all times to answer our questions for the 2 years leading up to our big day and we couldn't be more thankful. Cheyenne lead our rehearsal seamlessly and efficiently- we felt beyond prepared for the big day. The rehearsal dinner in the Garden House was absolutely perfect with Mark and Scott being there for us at all times to make it such a special night with friends and family. Our original plans were for an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour followed by the reception in the farmstead. A tropical storm ended up hitting MD on Saturday but they (as well as the rest of the staff) made that such a minor inconvenience by not skipping a beat in the constant changing of plans. They were communicative, supportive, and ensured us that this would be the best night of our lives - and they certainly didn't let us down! Cheyenne made sure that our night ran on a detailed timeline and kept us on track while simultaneously encouraging us to have the time of our lives. The reception event team and bartenders were exceptional and friendly. The hotel staff was just as great, which was a topic of conversation among friends and family on the day after. We are so incredibly thankful for everyones efforts in making this an unforgettable time and one that we will cherish forever.

A tropical storm ended up hitting MD on Saturday but they (as well as the rest of the staff) made that such a minor inconvenience by not skipping a beat in the constant changing of plans. They were communicative, supportive, and ensured us that this would be the best night of our lives - and they certainly didn't let us down! Cheyenne made sure that our night ran on a detailed timeline and kept us on track while simultaneously encouraging us to have the time of our lives. The reception event team and bartenders were exceptional and friendly. The hotel staff was just as great, which was a topic of conversation among friends and family on the day after. We are so incredibly thankful for everyones efforts in making this an unforgettable time and one that we will cherish forever.

Kent Island Resort was the perfect place to have our wedding! We used the Farmstead and it was absolutely GORGEOUS for every part of the day. The barn itself is so well designed, including the perfect bridal suite and balcony, as well as a big and nicely renovated getting ready room for the groomsmen that we rented at the Inn. Sadly we did not get to use the pergola for our ceremony as planned, but the indoor ceremony was even better than I had imagined and the guests loved the beautiful cocktail views and comfy outdoor seating when they weren't out on the huge dance floor! We also got to use the grounds by the water for photos and we had several guests mention how much they liked staying at the Inn. The food (crab cakes & filet) was incredible - several guests came up to us afterwards and said it was the BEST wedding food they had ever had! Mackenzie, Naomi, the kitchen and banquet staff, and the Inn staff were all amazing - they were very patient with our many requests along the way and questions about how everything would look once the construction of the Farmstead was completed (we had 2 long years of planning). The banquet staff were also very attentive to our needs during the event and made sure we had enough food and drinks for ourselves. We even had a surprise rainbow and fireworks to top off an amazing evening! All in all, we would highly recommend having your wedding at Kent Island Resort!!

THE PERFECT DAY! WHAT AN AMAZING MEMORIAL DAY EXPERIENCE! I cannot say enough good things but let me try. Thanks for the \"turn-key\" experience. Because the bride was in medical school and in Africa providing care for an extended period during the planning period, having a venue that provided/coordinated EVERYTHING, except the dress, invites, photog, music/DJ, and flowers, via their Simplicity All-Inclusive Wedding Package was key! Moreover, KIR recommended vendors for what they did not provide. Organization, timing, and execution was spot on! The Farmstead was beautiful and easily accommodated our wedding with 120 guests. There were so many staff on site supporting us on the wedding day including (1) Corporate Executive Chef, (2) day of wedding event coordinators (AM AND PM), (2) day of venue coordinators (AM AND PM), (2) bartenders and so many wonderful kitchen/wait staff. Costs include service gratuities so that is one less thing to worry about the day of. The food/drink was amazing (filet and crab cakes, 8 unlimited passed appetizers plus 2 app stations including a Mediterranean display and a Pasta station, dessert spread of a cutting cake and also 800 varied mini cupcakes from Blue Crab Cupcakes and a 5 hour fully stocked open bar in addition to (2) specialty drinks of choice)! They went above and beyond to accommodate food allergies and preferences at no additional charge (Vegetarian, Vegan, gluten free, Paleo, nut and seafood allergic, no red meat, etc) . They went above and beyond to have a golf cart on call throughout the entire event to accommodate my 95 year old mother in law who has very limited mobility. A special thank you to our primary wedding coordinator Cheyenne, and also Danielle, Katie, and Jen. Our first meeting was with Mackenzie Konka who explained our options and choices to create an event that met our needs and our budget. We truly got great value for what we paid.We combined this venue with an amazing local string trio consisting of a violinist, a violist, and a Cellist - POC Cary Miller@410-310-2121 and the Holiday Inn Express Kent Island (Kevin Bell front desk manager), Scensational Florals (Susan) 443-827-8797, photography by Alexandra Mandato, make up and hair by @bridalglowwithvictoriao, DJ by DJ EDDO 703-864-3801, and custom invites by Etsy artist Saltandstonedesignco (with online RSVPs). The couture wedding gown (new sample gown with tags bought at 75% off retail) was from Cheri Sustainable Bridal (don't miss out on that money saving local gem and see my review). Our all inclusive budget for 120 guests and all other expenses listed above was 40K and we came in just slightly over with our Sunday wedding, military, and holiday incentive discount. We could have cut on the number of apps, quantity of cupcakes, flowers, DJ, photog and one less hour for the bar but for us the extra costs were well worth it.Do yourself a favor, go with a \"Turn-Key\" experience with proven vendors at a venue that has an indoor back up in case of rain and truly provides a stress free experience. We have attended site rental weddings where everything from the bathrooms to the flatwear and napkins are bought/rented, brought in, and pieced together and it is outrageously expensive (3 - 4X what I paid) and very, very stressful. We just had our wedding here on May 6, 2023. We cannot recommend Kent Island Resort higher. We booked the venue about two years out, and our experience with the entire staff from that point forward was amazing. Everyone was responsive, professional, helpful, and friendly. We had 68 guests attend and had our ceremony at the waterfront location and reception in the Garden House. Both locations were the perfect size. The food and service was amazing. The rooms at the Inn were stunning. I truly feel like I became friends with everyone I worked with from this venue. Everything was truly perfect.

We had the time of our lives, and so did our guests!! From start to finish, it was an easy process for us, which we thought was a gimmick, it was that easy. Mackenzie walked us through everything when we decided on our venue, and sat through all of our length questions. Naomi was our event coordinator and couldnât have made it a more perfect day, and planning leading up to it! Everyone is so helpful and attentive. We ended up having to move our ceremony inside due to windy, cold weather and the staff made everything a breeze (no pun intended). The food was DELICIOUS and the staff was very attentive. I appreciated that we as the bride and groom were served first and they made sure to get us a plate of the hors dâoeuvres while my dress was being bustled in the bridal suite, it made us feel like a priority than an after thought. My only struggle was the hotel event manager was not the nicest in answering questions for us or being readily available for assistance. Naomi, Farmstead Event Coordinator, and Mackenzie, Events Manager, were there throughout to help us through it. I cannot recommend this place enough. We hope to be back for other events in the future but will be back to celebrate anniversaries for sure. Thank you Kent Island!!

First, I want to say the venue is beautiful. We really chose it because when you walk in the place just feels like it was made for weddings. Our ratings really reflect the customer service. The staff here is not experienced, especially not for high end weddings with a lot of coordination. If we could have just been given access to the venue and not had to have dealt with the staff, it would have been great. We had several instances of communication misses, and we had to work around our coordinator Cheyenne to get things done. Often times information was sent several times and asked to be resent again, wasting our time, only to be wrong on the day of. We were constantly told the cost for things would be additional and asked to \"prove\" we had been told otherwise somewhere. Fortunately, we communicated mostly via email. They weren't properly staffed for passed appetizers leaving many of our guest without during cocktail hour, the \"included\" cake ended up wrong, including the flavor, they didn't put the correct number of seats at each table causing guest confusion, coordination for something as simple as linens was a nightmare, incorrect BEO orders kept being sent and the list goes on. While we did have positive experiences with Mackenzie, Sonya, and Katie, (seems like more of the team should take notes from them), the tone of the rest of the staff was just curt. Expressing our concerns to management was rebuffed as all he did was make excuses, flat out lied about some issues and took no accountability or apology. I think that made it even worse. Would not recommend this place to anyone.

We had a beautiful wedding weekend from November 10-11. We had both our rehearsal dinner and wedding event at Kent Island resort. Both couldnât have gone any better! Both the rehearsal dinner had excellent service from everyone. Service with a smile was an understatement. Everyone was so friendly! Jennifer was with us both for the rehearsal and dinner and reception and she made sure everyone and us, the bride and groom, were taken care of. There was one server at both the reception and rehearsal dinner that I canât remember his name but he was so kind and generous and took care of anything we asked, even the 6 cannolis my grandmother jokingly asked for. Cheyenne was our wedding coordinator and she was nothing but catering and easy to work with. She did everything I asked and then some. Cheyenne was so attentive the day of the wedding and helped in every way possible. Naomi ran our rehearsal and she was just as excellent. She made us feel at ease with the new plan of an indoor ceremony (because who predicts a hurricane in November). Destiny was another one of our day of coordinators and was absolutely amazing. She decorated just about everything in that building and exactly as I asked. She even checked on us all day to make sure we were all set and did need anything. I never thought we would feel like such royalty on our wedding day but all of these people mentioned above and the rest of the employees at Kent Manor Inn were exceptional. It was the wedding and venue of our dreams and it was more than spectacular.

But the incredible team was professional, and so easy to work with! They helped us customize our meal, get local beer, source local oysters for my seafood-crazy family, and they were on board with all of our unconventional ideas! The catering team was attentive and so lovely (our guests frequently said the food was great but the service was unmatched!). If we could request anything, it would be to provide a few platters of cocktail food for the wedding party while they do their photos. I sort of forced my family to walk across the property for a more private photo experience, but it would have been awesome to have some beverages and snacks. But overall, I would do it all again! They were so lovely and sweet. Shoutout to Naomi, Ashton, and Lafawn for being so incredible! I owe it all to you!

Naomi was our wedding coordinator and did an incredible job making sure everything went smoothly, switching the ceremony to outside 3 hours prior to the start time. The whole weekend went off without a hitch. LaFawn was also constantly around helping and making sure everything went smoothly. She constantly took care of us and had all the answers we needed. I have absolutely zero complaints. Definitely come see this beautiful property and meet the incredible team at Kent Island! You will not be disappointed.

Although the day of our wedding went off without a hitch we find it difficult to recommend Kent Manor without some hesitation. The grounds and venue are amazing and the food was delicious, but our experiences with the hotel management leading up to the wedding left a lot to be desired and make us pause before encouraging others to hold their wedding here. We can honestly describe the management as unpleasant, unresponsive, and perhaps just not happy to be in this business. In the six months leading up to the wedding, we were assigned three different coordinators. Thatâs a new coordinator every other month. Each time a new person was assigned, the planning process would start over from the beginning and we were back to square one. The only true consistency we experienced from Kent Manor was the complete and utter lack of response from anyone. On approximately five occasions, we made the 30 minute drive to the venue and just walked in, in order to reach a speaking person. This is not professional and frankly, not polite. There was rarely a moment when the bride and groom felt cared for. By the time we were assigned our final coordinator just four weeks prior to the wedding, we had already given up on any help from the venue and had planned the event without them. That final coordinator, Naomi, was ultimately helpful with the execution and did a wonderful job on the day of the wedding. We appreciated her help the last few weeks leading up to the wedding.With this said, if you are willing to be left without answers to questions, if you are willing to plan the day without support from the venue, and you are willing to be treated with contempt, I will tell you that the day of the wedding was terrific and ultimately, this is what our guests and we will remember. The recommended vendors were fantastic, the venue was beautiful, and the food prep and wait staff were amazing. It was they who made the day what it was. Would we do it again? Weâre not sure.

Perfect wedding venue! We were able to host a fantastic wedding weekend at the newly renovated Kent Manor Resort! The staff helped us plan a very special wedding ⊠even though we were working long distance through a pandemic! We were able to have family and the wedding party stay at the manor, to host several events, and to enjoy the bucolic setting! Guests commented on the beautiful manor, and loved the newly constructed Farmstead! Staff were friendly and accommodating, easily ironing out any wrinkles that popped up! The bridal party enjoyed a fantastic lunch and the reception menu was stellar! The chef delivered delicious food, as expected! Our special event couldnât have been any lovelier!

We recently married at the Kent Island Farmstead & it made our wedding dreams come true! The Kent Island Resort is gorgeous, unique, and charming. It was the perfect spot for our family and friends to gather and celebrate with us.The staff was nothing short of amazing throughout the duration of the planning process leading up to the actual wedding weekend. We worked with many wonderful people who contributed to the day. We committed signing on with Mackenzie who set the groundwork for us in the early stages of our contract. As we got more detail focused Shawneece took the lead and worked with us very closely. Shawneece is personable and attentive to detail. She was spot on day of coordinating between staff, vendors, & setting up dĂ©cor. She also has a special presence making the wedding party (bride especially) feel calm and top priority. We also want to call out LaFawn for her giant smile, welcoming personality, and coordination throughout the weekend. The chef for the amazing food â lotâs of filet mignons! The bartenders for whipping up the perfect spicy marg! Another huge shout out to Deb for coordinating all manor details for our stay. We felt at home and loved that we were able to share the weekend with close family and friends. It was perfect!We will hold onto these memories for a life-time and we cannot wait to go back for a visit!

We had the most incredible time planning our daughter's wedding thanks to the help of the staff at the Kent Manor Inn. The coordinator, Shawneece, made the process feel like a breeze and the wedding itself was everything we imagined and then some. The food was delicious, the staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, and most importantly, my daughter and son-in-law felt like the most important people on earth that day. I have had the pleasure of working with Shawneece as my coordinator and she is an ABSOLUTE GODSEND! This place is so amazing her mom LaFawn works here as well! The two of them are an absolute dynamic duo and I always walk away in shock of just how an amazing experience I have. I am a bride that has absolutely no idea what I want other than \"winter\" and \"good food\" and Shawneece has taken my hand and guided me through this process with so much ease and experience with recommendations and insights that I don't even know what the word stress means. Now I have to rant about the food because Chef Kelly is AMAZING! The food has been stuff what dreams are made of. My mouth is literally watering thinking about the Honey Garlic Salmon, Apple Braised Pork Chop and the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms. The grounds are gorgeous, the rooms are pristine, and the Farmstead is stunningly beautiful. I of course have to shout out Mackenzie and Debbie as well for always being insanely helpful. Long story short, if you are looking for a venue that is invested in making you feel like you are the only couple in the world, has amazing food, and gorgeous EVERYTHING then look no further. You won't regret it.UPDATEOur wedding date was February 12, 2022 and ladies and gentleman, it was truly perfect. Everything hit the mark and more. Shawneece took care of everything, I did not have one single thing to worry about. The rustic simplicity of the Farmstead was truly everything I dreamt of. I still have guests talking about how amazing the food was - by the way the pasta bar and the cheesesteak egg rolls were a HUGE hit! Our signature drinks were made to perfection every time and the decorations were set perfectly. It seriously was a dream come true. We have friends of family considering the venue now because of how absolutely perfect and gorgeous the night was. Thank you so so much Kent Island Resort!!!

Shawneece took care of everything, I did not have one single thing to worry about. The rustic simplicity of the Farmstead was truly everything I dreamt of. I still have guests talking about how amazing the food was - by the way the pasta bar and the cheesesteak egg rolls were a HUGE hit! Our signature drinks were made to perfection every time and the decorations were set perfectly. It seriously was a dream come true. We have friends of family considering the venue now because of how absolutely perfect and gorgeous the night was. Thank you so so much Kent Island Resort!!!

Besides being beyond helpful in making our dream a reality, she and the rest of the staff at the Inn were so incredibly kind, understanding, and accommodating and we truly felt like the most important people in the world that day. There are honestly no words for how happy we are with how the day turned out and we can not thank Shawneece and the rest of the staff enough. The wedding felt like the perfect start to my husband's and my future together in the most incredible way. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you all so much! I would give more than five stars if I could.

My son and now daughter in law held their wedding and reception at the Farmstead. During the planning Shawneece was our wedding coordinator. She came on board with roughly 3 to 4 months left in the planning. Her guidance and focus was very much appreciated. During the days prior to the wedding, we had a few hiccups as most big events do. She was there to help ensure all would come together as planned. When the time came for the wedding and reception, i could not have been happier. The whole staff was very helpful through out and the food was out of this world. As i sit here now 1 week later, i am still smiling and grateful for all the staff did to ensure my son and daughter in law had the wedding of their dreams.

Was fortunate to attend a wonderful wedding at this venue recently. It was fabulous in all aspects! The food was equivalent to any I have had at a fine dining restaurant. The tables and venue of the reception area were stunning but the service received from everyone and especially from LeFawn and âher little sisterâ Shawneece, was fantastic. Nothing is a problem for this team. I highly recommend this choice as a wedding reception venue. 10 out of 10! Thank you for such a smoothly run, terrific experience.

We had the most Magnificent Wedding Weekend at the Kent Manor Inn this past weekend. Saying âthank youâ isnât quite enough to explain our immense Gratitude for the impeccable customer service, the glorious grounds & the historic Inn itself. Dolores was our wedding planner and she was Awesome! Covid had changed up our wedding plans significantly and we shifted gears and made a new plan for an intimate family-only gathering. We had a great experience with the Kent Manor Inn. We loved the fact that it was all inclusive (food, alcohol, lodging, reception, etc). Being able to have the ceremony, reception, and lodging all in the same place was amazing. Our guests also loved hanging around the fire pit after the reception ended. All of the staff members were incredibly nice and professional as well. They handled every aspect of our day for us and made it extremely stress free.

What a disaster. Despite me having an appointment, the host called me 3 wrong names before finally asking me what mine was. I sat in the room for 15 minutes before even being acknowledged. Main area dirty and unorganized. The venue itself had stained curtains hanging from the ceiling and no area for a bar- we were told on the tour the bar would essentially be a card table. Avoid this. I can't believe I drove hours to tour this venue.

Where do I even begin with Kent Manor Inn? It was an absolute DREAM to get married here!!! It's a stunning venue with so much charm and character. We looked at tons (and I mean TONS) of venues before we finally saw KMI and fell in love. Our vision included an outdoor ceremony with the option to host an outdoor reception in a tent. We were going for a rustic feel while blending in traditional Hindu/Indian traditions and KMI was the perfect place to bring our vision to life. It was large enough to host a 350+ person wedding without any issues, which is something that limited us while searching for an outdoor venue. It's been 3 months and we are still hearing from our guests that our wedding venue was so incredibly beautiful. It definitely helped that we luckily got the best weather (sunny & 70's) for our spring wedding! The entire wedding planning process was a breeze after we booked our wedding day with KMI. Their team did everything they could to answer our millions of questions in a timely manner. They suggested some great vendors (ranging from party/equipment rentals to transportation to bakeries and even babysitters)! Everyone from KMI was pleasant to work with and it's evident they did everything they could to make our day special. They had hosted a handful of Indian weddings in the past, so I felt more at ease knowing that they understood the different traditions and intricacies of an Indian wedding (i.e baraat, official welcome, long ceremony, etc.). Since we had a pretty large wedding, KMI worked with us closely to ensure there were enough chairs, tables, restrooms, etc. for our guests. Really appreciated their help with this so my husband and I didn't have to worry about it. In the months leading up to our wedding, KMI staff worked with all of my vendors to ensure they were all on the same page so things ran smoothly. Some of my vendors visited the venue beforehand to check it out and there was always someone from the Inn willing to meet with them and take them on a tour/answer their questions. On the day of, everything ran smoothly and I have no complaints. The day was beautiful and everything we could dream of.We also rented out the entire Inn for our guests to stay and had a great experience with that, as well. I worked with the Inn to assign rooms to our guests, they were able to call in with the CC information and received email confirmations quickly. The rooms were all great as well - each one has it's own personality and the bathrooms were modern and clean. The bridal suite was perfect for getting ready and allowed for some great photos.Overall, we absolutely LOVED our experience with Kent Manor Inn and can't say enough great things about them. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for a gorgeous outdoor venue!

Our September wedding at the Kent Manor Inn was a truly memorable celebration, and we will forever be grateful to everyone at the KMI who made everything (from the planning to the ceremony to the reception) work so well. We had anticipated a great weekend outdoors on the beautiful grounds, but it poured rain for days on end, and many adjustments had to be made. Fortunately, the folks at KMI were absolute professionals and shifted things with ease--keeping us calm & supporting our celebration with humor, warmth, and smiles. We loved having so many of our guests stay in the Inn with us, and the KMI was accommodating in countless ways--from offering a cash bar & happy hour as guests arrived on Saturday (letting our party take over all the common spaces on the ground floor!) to decorating the Garden House exactly as planned (thank you, Ashley et al!) to checking in with the bride & groom (and their parents) to confirm things were going as hoped (indeed!). The location and the staff absolutely made the weekend--our guests couldn't say enough good things about everything and everyone!--and we are so pleased we chose this venue for our wedding. It offered the perfect balance of intimacy (for our friends and family to get to meet and enjoy one another's company!), laid-back Eastern Shore charm (love the building and the beautiful views from the porches!), and specialness (I got butterflies the first time I stepped on the grounds of this historic venue, and they were there every time I returned, especially on our beautiful rainy wedding day!). My husband and I have said (more than once and with great sincerity and gratitude) that we cannot imagine our wedding anywhere else. We loved our venue and all the ways it shaped our wedding in exceptional ways; we will always hold the KMI in a special place in our hearts.

Like another reviewer here, I had a beautiful wedding day at Kent Manor Inn. The reason for my lower rating is due to some of the staff and their lack of care and organization. Ashley was so apathetic and unreliable the entire time. After our first meeting with her, she was supposed to email us a list of vendors for other services and organize a date for our tasting. I never heard from her and we ended up having our tasting three weeks before the wedding, after I contacted her. She never apologized for dropping the ball. She also chose that time to tell us that their day-of coordinator had left and she would be training a new one on the day of our wedding. We found out on the day that our wedding was literally the first day of work for the new day-of coordinator (she was lovely and I actually felt sorry for her because she was so sweet and had been completely thrown in the deep end). The staff was also supposed to light the fire pit outside the garden house right after the reception and they just didn't. No explanation. My guests ended up lighting it themselves.Throughout the process, I honestly wondered what I could be doing wrong to make Ashley so awful. Was it the fact that we were having a relatively small wedding (85 people) on a Friday and weren't paying as much as some clients? She just made us feel so un-special. It seemed the nicer I was when I emailed Ashley, the less likely I was to get a response. My now-husband finally emailed her to tell her we needed her to be more responsive. Only then did things improve.My sister-in-law, who is a wedding planner in LA and was a bridesmaid, ended up stepping in to run the day. I don't know what I would have done without her. Kent Manor Inn really is beautiful and I would just recommend that if you do want to have your wedding there, get your own planner to run things on the day and coordinate with the venue. It is a beautiful location but it would alleviate a lot of stress to have someone else deal with the staff and make sure they stay on top of venue-related issues. I will say that the food was wonderful and Bunny, who coordinated that, was great.We had to go back there to pick up some things the next week. I saw that some of our flowers were displayed on the reception desk. When I pointed them out, one of the owners told me that they were from a wedding they'd had the week before. When I said that was our wedding, they just blinked back at me. To me, that said it all. They just don't care that this is one of the most special days of someone's life. We were just paying customers.We had our rehearsal dinner at The Inn at Chesapeake Bay Beach Club and the way we were treated there could not have been more different. They were so on top of things, professional, and kind, and they really made us feel special.

Our wedding day was 5 stars! The venue is absolutely beautiful - the setting, landscape (fields + water), and the charm of the Inn. Our guests' excitement about the setting made us feel excited. The day-of staff seemed great, and the food was delicious (particularly the crab cakes).I hate to post a negative review about anyone - especially regarding my own wedding - but I'd really love to provide some honesty to hopefully help other brides, particularly out-of-town ones like me.The venue's team really dropped the ball from start to finish. We are completely aware that they handle tons of weddings and that ours was no different on the large scale - and that was made crystal clear. This is not what I wanted for my wedding on an emotional level, but especially not for the cost of this venue.From the start, we had issues. We were contracted to have the Inn for Friday and Saturday nights for our many out-of-town guests. It wasnât until 2 months after booking when our save-the-dates went out and guests were trying to book rooms that it was discovered the the venue was actually double booked for Friday. It was embarrassing and irritating. They did attempt to rectify the situation and offered some solutions due to the effort of our wedding planner, but the negative tone was set. Aside from that issue, there was a major communication gap throughout the planning process - emails went unanswered and it took multiple days/attempts to get anything.The last straw was when we arrived for check-in on our rehearsal day. There was, again, a double-booking issue with the Friday night rooms that we had been able to reserve for family. We ended up short a room the first night and with an extra booked the second, resulting in a lot of scrambling around an hour before the rehearsal dinner (on the other side of the bridge) and cramming groom/best man into their parentsâ room to get ready on the wedding day. To note, these rooms were all confirmed in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding. Then, my credit card was apparently not on file for the rooms they did reserve, so I'm not sure what happened to that information when it had been given over the phone 10 months before. Lastly, they also were not really willing to take/hand out guest gift bags upon guest check-in until my sister took it upon herself to leave them at the front. All small things, but they added up. The saying that people will forget the things that happen, but never forget the way you make them feel completely applies here.So, while I would recommend this venue for the setting and the ability to pull off a 130-person event, I would not recommend it for the lack of organization and care. We could not have pulled it off without our wedding planner, who went above and beyond to rectify the issues, and made the effort to stay in communication and get answers from KMI. For the price of the event and venue, I expected a lot more out of them.

Our wedding day was 5 stars! The venue is absolutely beautiful - the setting, landscape (fields + water), and the charm of the Inn. Our guests' excitement about the setting made us feel excited. The day-of staff seemed great, and the food was delicious (particularly the crab cakes).I hate to post a negative review about anyone - especially regarding my own wedding - but I'd really love to provide some honesty to hopefully help other brides, particularly out-of-town ones like me.The venue's team really dropped the ball from start to finish. We are completely aware that they handle tons of weddings and that ours was no different on the large scale - and that was made crystal clear. This is not what I wanted for my wedding on an emotional level, but especially not for the cost of this venue.From the start, we had issues. We were contracted to have the Inn for Friday and Saturday nights for our many out-of-town guests. It wasnât until 2 months after booking when our save-the-dates went out and guests were trying to book rooms that it was discovered the the venue was actually double booked for Friday. It was embarrassing and irritating. They did attempt to rectify the situation and offered some solutions due to the effort of our wedding planner, but the negative tone was set. Aside from that issue, there was a major communication gap throughout the planning process - emails went unanswered and it took multiple days/attempts to get anything.The last straw was when we arrived for check-in on our rehearsal day. There was, again, a double-booking issue with the Friday night rooms that we had been able to reserve for family. We ended up short a room the first night and with an extra booked the second, resulting in a lot of scrambling around an hour before the rehearsal dinner (on the other side of the bridge) and cramming groom/best man into their parentsâ room to get ready on the wedding day. To note, these rooms were all confirmed in the months and weeks leading up to the wedding. They did a horrific job with our wedding, the food was undercooked, the staff was incredibly unhelpful, and our venue was so cold, our guests wore their coats the entire time! The heaters weren't powerful enough to heat the Preserve which they should have known about and worked to fix, not leave our entire wedding to freeze. It was awful, definitely not the wedding I dreamed of, and the \"day of coordinators\" were NO WHERE to be found the entire day. I didn't see them once! Horrible experience. I wouldn't recommend the venue to anyone.

I cannot even express how absolutely AMAZING the Kent Manor is, and I truly tell everyone I meet how magical this place really is. When I first arrived to view the venue, this was the first venue I went to visit with my fiancĂ© and I fell in love. This was the venue I HAD to get married. It was everything that wanted, not to mention how welcoming and warm the staff was from the time I arrived and left that day. They made the planning process so easy, and all the staff were a joy to work with. The weekend of the wedding was the best part. When I arrived, Ashley & Kelley were there to help me through every step and also took care of everything from taking my dress to the bridal suite to, setting up the ceremony and reception area and packing up everything at the end. They handled every little detail without bothering me. The day of the wedding was incredible. All my guest still to this day says that it was the best wedding they have ever been too. They raved about how the food was the best they have ever had at a wedding. Every time I still talk to a friend or family member about the wedding they still tell me how amazing it was. I really canât speak highly enough about how wonderful everything turned out at my wedding and it was all because of Kent Manor Inn staff. They earned 100/100 from us!!!!

Honestly we cannot say enough good things about Historic Kent Manor Inn. From the beginning when we first toured the venue, up until our wedding in June; the staff has been more than wonderful to work with. They were always very responsive when we had questions and were so accommodating to every request. They truly know how to run a successful wedding and allowed us and our family and friends to really enjoy the day without worry. Not only was the staff phenomenal, the venue itself is absolutely gorgeous. Not to mention their catering/dinner was spectacular! We also highly recommend staying at the Inn. Each room is uniquely beautiful and the breakfast was amazing. The whole weekend was like a getaway with family and friends at this beautiful property. Despite the wedding being a few weeks ago, weâre still receiving plenty of compliments about the location. Weâre so glad we went with Kent Manor and couldnât have imagined a more perfect wedding!

EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT! My daughter got married here this April. I have recieved many, many compliments on the beautiful venue, the great food, and the perfection of th eentire event. Kudos to the entire staff; Ashley, Kelley, Monique, and all of the servers and bartenders, everything ran so smoothly. I highly recomend Kent Manor.

I had my wedding here this June and LOVED IT! Everything went so smoothly. Ashley was very easy to work with the two years we were planning the wedding, always replying to our emails right away. Kelly was also a big help on the day of, everytime we had a question, she was right there to answer it. The food was AMAZING and we can not wait to come back and enjoy another Sunday Champange Brunch!!! Thanks guys!

We couldn't have been happier or better taken care of than with Kent Manor. What a beautiful, perfect wedding venue, with amazing, caring, creative, organized staff. Everyone there helped us make our day so special, and all of our guests complimented how beautiful the setting was, how great the food was, and how impressed they were with everything. We particularly loved having a team member to help us the day of the wedding, keeping us organized and on time. We enjoyed the reception food tasting earlier that year, where we were able to work with the chef to customize our wedding meal. We also loved that so many of our guests could stay at the inn and truly make a weekend of the wedding. I would recommend gorgeous Historic Kent Manor Inn to anyone.

Everyone there helped us make our day so special, and all of our guests complimented how beautiful the setting was, how great the food was, and how impressed they were with everything. We particularly loved having a team member to help us the day of the wedding, keeping us organized and on time. What a beautiful venue Kent Manor Inn was. The waterfront wedding ceremony was beautiful during the fall weather and the reception area was just perfect. The garden house venue is surrounded by windows that allow you to see the beautiful grounds the inn has to offer. The food was delicious! The best food I've ever had at a wedding by far. Can't wait to come back and visit this wonderful place again.

I attended a wedding at Historic Kent Manor Inn and to say it was perfect would be an understatement! It was my cousins wedding, and it was clear that everything she wanted in a wedding was done for her. Ashley was the coordinator for the night and she was fabulous. Everything ran so smoothly! If you're looking to have a wedding in a beautiful setting with water views, this is the place for you!

I loved Kent Manor Inn! Ashley was really great to work with and helped make our wedding day fabulous! We used The Preserve at Kent Manor for our venue and am so glad we did because we ended up having to move the ceremony inside due to a hurricane! Ashley and her crew worked so hard to change everything and were very flexible in helping us make the inside beautiful, despite the terrible weather outside. The food was delicious, the servers were fabulous and we were very pleased with the entire wedding and reception. If you want top notch attention and a wedding to remember, book at Kent Manor Inn!! So glad we did!

We got married at Kent Manor on Sept. 26 and it was absolutely perfect. The staff at Kent Manor goes above and beyond to accommodate you and make you feel at ease. No detail is too small and no ask is too big. Ashley does a fantastic job of making you feel calm and at ease on the day of your wedding. She and her staff take care of all the setup -- everything from pictures to signs to seating charts -- and never once did I worry something was going to go wrong. They are on top of everything. \rThe food is also outstanding. We had several guests tell us it was the best wedding food they have ever had and people were still talking about it weeks after. The bar was well-stocked and the bartenders and other staff were happy to do whatever was needed to ensure all the guests were enjoying themselves, which has not always been the case at other weddings we have attended\rThe grounds and Garden House are well maintained and the pictures from our ceremony are just beautiful. We also filled the entire inn full of our guests, and Kent Manor made sure each one was accommodated -- including switching rooms up to the day of for older guests who couldn't do stairs. \rI really wanted a small wedding venue where you were the priority, and that was exactly what I got. The staff at Kent Manor made our day perfect and stress free and I highly recommend it.

My daughter married at the Historic Kent Manor Inn on 10/09/2015. I have to say it was one of the most wonderful experiences ever. Ashley and the entire staff at Kent Manor were ever so accommodating in every way. Ashley took care of everything for us and not once did my daughter get stressed as she knew she was in good hands with an amazing professional. Every guest at the wedding raved about the food and service as I received many messages the next day as to what a great time they had. There is no way we could have pulled this off without Ashley's expertise. Thank Ashley and to all who made my daughters special day more than she ever hoped for.

We had a full day of ceremonies (Hindu and Christian) at Kent Manor Inn and were able to use two separate ceremony and reception sites, which was vital to our plan. Ashley Clough, our on site coordinator, was amazing, always quick to respond--even to the silliest questions--and completely professional. Their head chef was willing to go outside the box and do a whole Indian themed lunch as well as a formal dinner and everything was delicious. The venue is absolutely breathtaking and there are so many options in terms of where you can hold the ceremony and reception. I highly recommend this venue

With the beauty of the surroundings and the visas , it could take away from the ceremony. Picture perfect ! The Food was too good and our staff was on top of every moment. They were very professional. Love the new Venue that gave us plenty of space for our 200 guests. This place made my wedding an absolute dream. They made sure everything flowed smoothly, making my special day hassle free! Everyone who I interacted with was extremely accommodating, and service was spectacular. The food was so good, and they even made sure to save us some from the cocktail hour while we were taking pictures so we wouldn't miss out! They stayed in contact with us easily throughout the planning process, which made me a lot less anxious during the time leading up the wedding. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat!

Will and Sue Forever...Tied the Knot at Historic Kent Manor Inn\r\rWhat better time to get married than the 4th of July weekend. Our wedding, Sunday July 5, 2015 was a magical event complete with FIREWORKS over a part of the Chesapeake Bay where the Inn is located.\r\rWe booked all of their 24 guest rooms just to ensure that we had this incredible 200+ acre estate all to ourselves.\r\rThe ceremony site is cute little garden gazebo, right at the water's edge. Having the ceremony late in the afternoon, was perfect timing so that the massive trees gave some shade for our outdoor service.\r\rThe reception was held in very unique building called the Garden House. Floor to ceiling windows with awesome views of the gardens and water. We were permitted to go all out with decorating. \r\rThe food selections are massive....but all so yummy. I heard nothing but compliments all night long from my 144 guests. Such a relief:)\r\rI had the pleasure of working with Ashley at the Inn. She made my wedding all come together perfectly. \r\rIf you live in the DC, NO VA, Annapolis,,Baltimore area you have to check out the Inn for your wedding.\r\rFireworks ended the night in a most festive way.

I got married in August with 100 guests. We used the preserve site, Which looks like a huge permanent tent. It turned out to be very classy and beautiful. The crews were very professional and our coordinator, Ashley was outstanding. Highly recommend this site. The only downside of this place is that you can't see the water, but if you have a smaller wedding you could use their other place which is by the water.
