Located in Dover, DE, King Cole Farm is a picturesque wedding venue. The breathtaking spaces, both inside and out, help to enhance couples' celebrations. This romantic and elegant setting can serve as the backdrop for a range of events, from small soirees to large and lavish celebrations. King Cole Farm is a historic farm that has been owned and operated by the same family for multiple generations. The venue, which is nestled on a property spanning 500 idyllic acres, features multiple event spaces that have been renovated for special occasions. These include the Main House and the Pole Barn. The Courtyard and garden area can also be used for weddings and related celebrations. In addition to hosting events, the venue offers overnight accommodation in the Main House. Here, there is a kitchen, dining space, and a living room, providing you and your loved ones plenty of opportunities to enjoy each other's company. The Pole Barn's 9,400 square feet is air conditioned and heated and can accomodate 250 seated or 500 cocktail style. King Cole Farm's talented and dedicated team can help couples organize their big day in multiple ways. For your convenience, they offer tables and chairs (both ceremony and reception) three portable bars along with set-up services. The team can also provide access to dressing rooms, and the kitchen can be used to prepare the event's cuisine. Couples and their chosen photographer are sure to delight in the numerous photo opportunities dotted throughout the property. With a tranquil private pond, the charming red brick of the Main House, and the lush gardens complemented by natural scenery, this farm provides a memorable and picture-worthy setting for "I dos". We offer weekday and weekend packages that include the residence, gazebo courtyard and Pole Barn so you have the full capacity here at King Cole Farm to host your rehersal, rehersal dinner, ceremony, reception and good bye brunch. The residence has five bebrooms (two King and three Queens) along with The Lodge that has a Queen sleeper sofa. Please contact us with any questions. King Cole Farm is truly the most amazing place to get married. From the moment I walked onto the property, I knew it was the place I wanted to get married… I just had to convince my husband!When he saw the place we both immediately knew that it was where we wanted to get married. When booking the venue, it was not yet completed and I had all the faith in Annemarie and Jim that it would be as spectacular as the blueprints… AND IT WAS! When the big day arrived, Annemarie and Jim were were nothing short of wonderful - the place was beautiful and they were so accommodating to our weekend full of events. We wanted to do something different then the normal wedding weekend, with having a welcome party on Friday night and even having the rehearsal dinner on sight, followed by a breakfast the morning after our wedding. They fogged the place for bugs numerous times leading up to the big day, and made sure the place perfect. With all of the moving parts, Annemarie and Jim were so helpful the entire weekend. Everyone tells you to be prepared, that things will not always go your way, Annemarie and Jim ensure that your day runs as smoothly as possible and I truly cannot thank them enough for all of the behind the scenes work that they did to make sure our day ran smoothly. They did an amazing job of making sure everything was ready when we arrived, but also worked with us to make the event space ours and unique to what we wanted. With the polar barn being a blank slate, you really have the opportunity to make it yours! Knowing that we had a band coming in, KCF even made sure they hired an electrician to make sure they had enough support to host the band, as well as sound proofing the ceiling. They just went above and beyond in everything, and were very organized from the start! They also allowed us to stay in the house, which was incredible to have both families in there leading up to the wedding. It is clean, beautiful and was a great way to spend time as a family before the wedding and of course, solo on our wedding night! We couldn’t be more recommending of King Cole Farm, Annemarie, and Jim. I think overall yes, their venue is amazing, yes, they are extremely organized and communicate exceptionally well, BUT more importantly, they are incredibly nice and genuine people. We felt like we had known them for our entire lives and you could feel that they were invested in our wedding, just as much as we were. I feel like nowadays in the wedding industry, you don’t necessarily get that, but with Jim and Annemarie, they make you feel that from the moment you step foot on their beautiful 500 acre farm. That is what makes this place so special, the family bond they create with the bride and groom and of course, their families and guests. I would like to also give a special shout-out to our Band, Goody Blue Shoes Band, as well as our wonderful photographer, Chelsea Fluharty Photography and our officiant, Tom Robinson. Our day would not have been possible without the help of those that were behind the scenes. All in all, if you’re trying to make a decision to go with King Cole Farm, stop thinking and book. You will not find a sight that cares for you like King Cole does. From the rich history of the farm, the stunning views and the wonderful owners, you will not be disappointed. They truly helped us have the most memorable day of our lives and we are forever grateful for them! King Cole Farm, you will always hold a special place in our hearts!

King cole is a dream! The pole barn is a blank slate but beautiful all on its own. You could not have decor or go above the top and it would still show itself as a gorgeous venue. The owners left out not a single detail when building. Everything was thought of and it shows. They are incredibly accommodating, very responsive, and truly care about your day. You can’t find an experience like this anywhere else. From the accommodations in the renovated home to the venue itself and everything in between you will be blown away as will your guests. Everyone said it was like a Pinterest venue and it was an unforgettable weekend. Can’t recommend enough ❤️

We cannot say enough good things about King Cole Farm and its owners Jim and Annemarie. The venue is absolutely beautiful and made for gorgeous wedding photographs. Jim and Annemarie were extremely responsive in communicating all the way leading up to the wedding. They were on site the day of to make sure everything ran smoothly. The day of the wedding they were prepared for rain or shine for our ceremony. Thank you so much for making our day so special! Gabriella & Sal

We cannot say enough amazing things about this venue. We took a huge chance on having our wedding here, signing a contract in the very early stages of construction, but Annemarie and Jim BLEW our expectations out of the water.Our wedding weekend was absolutely seamless from the moment we pulled into the driveway Friday morning to our way home on Sunday, which is a loaded statement coming from a type A bride. To start, weather is always one of the biggest challenges, but we were more than happy with both the indoor and outdoor ceremony locations, which calmed my nerves tremendously. Second, the venue, house, and grounds were all immaculate. This provided us with endless photo opportunities. The cocktail and reception space is a bride’s dream. Being able to utilize both the backyard and the sun room for cocktail hour provided a more casual setting leading up to the reception, which is exactly the vibe we were looking for. The main room of the pole barn nearly takes your breath away, it’s that beautiful. The farmhouse style tables with the massive chandelier provide the most perfect rustic, yet elegant, atmosphere which was right up our alley. Our caterers also raved about how nice the full commercial kitchen was. I could go on forever about how amazing everything was, but truly, we give King Cole Farm full credit for making the wedding of our dreams become a reality.

Annemarie Dickerson (Owner) My husband Jim and I owned and operated the Francis Scott Key Family Resort until March of 2020. Over the twenty eight years we were proudly honored for our hospitality including being named two times to TripAdvisors top 25 hotels for families in the USA. As my in-laws enjoyed their retirement at the farm we hope to have new memories made in their honor. We believe they would be very happy to see the farm being part of a new generation of experiences.
