I cannot express enough how grateful my partner and I are for the exceptional service and attention to detail provided by the entire operations team at Knoebel Events. Patty Farmer, Stacy Moore, and Abby Sheppard went above and beyond to ensure that our wedding day was nothing short of extraordinary. From the moment we booked the venue, the team was incredibly responsive and accommodating. They listened attentively to our requests and worked tirelessly to ensure that every detail was aligned with our vision. Their professionalism and dedication truly made the planning process a breeze. One aspect that deserves special mention is the outstanding service and culinary delights provided by Chef Tim and his team. We opted for a plated dinner option, and the food was not only delicious but also served with precision and efficiency. The guests were impressed with the quality and presentation of the dishes. Chef Tim's expertise truly elevated our dining experience. The venue itself is nothing short of breathtaking. The beauty of the space provided a stunning backdrop for our wedding photographs, both indoors and outdoors. What impressed us the most was the venue's ability to seamlessly accommodate our needs, even with a backup plan in case of rain. Having both indoor and outdoor options was a huge advantage. One of the best things about Knoebel Events is that it truly is an all-in-one provider. They took care of so many details and actions, ensuring a seamless and amazing wedding experience. We were able to relax and enjoy our special day, knowing that everything was being taken care of by the competent and dedicated team at the venue.Overall, I cannot recommend Knoebel Events highly enough. If you're looking for a venue that not only offers a stunning setting but also goes above and beyond to make your wedding day extraordinary, look no further. Kimberly Jackson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-09-2017 My fiancee and I knew from the minute we attended an event at the Tuscan Ballroom the year before our wedding that we would have our wedding and reception here. Patty Farmer, Stacy Moore and the entire team are just PHENOMENAL professionals when it comes to event planning, and their attention to detail and skill shone through in the best way possible. From the moment Patty and I met for the first planning meeting my mind was put at ease. She knows things about your wedding that YOU probably haven't even considered, and will orchestrate every detail to perfection. What I appreciated the most about this venue is that it is a 'one stop shop' for your wedding--no need to coordinate with a catering company that may (or may not) be affiliated with your venue. No need to get a liquor license or procure your own booze. You quite literally need to get your clothes, your flowers, your cake, your groom, your family and friends, and show up knowing that everything else is already taken care of. My wedding was in September of 2017, and I am STILL getting such great feedback from our family and friends (and other vendors) about how seamless everything was. From the pre-ceremony festivities that Patty helped us plan, to the ceremony, dinner, and dancing, it was all so much more than I could have ever imagined. As DU alum, my fiancee and I felt a special connection to this space to host our special day, and it's such a unique location that it makes for an amazing backdrop to any special event. If you don't want to get caught up in the cookie cutter hotel ballroom/barn/golf course & resort shenanigans that seem to be the norm here in Denver, do yourself a favor and consider Knoebel. You'll be so happy that you did!! Reviewed on 13-01-2018
Jamie Blaydes(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-07-2017 If there was an option for more stars, they'd deserve them! From beganing to end Patty and her team were all to willing to make sure that we had the perfect wedding! I'm not the best at planning weddings and they made sure to keep me inline without being pushy. Never once did I feel like I wasn't in control of what I wanted for the big day but they helped me make the decisions that were best for us. They are a Hospitality school and didn't charge for silly things like different color liens or moving chairs. Everything was at unbeatable prices and the price for food even went Down from the first quote! Who does that! On the day of the wedding, Patty acted as a day of coordinator and made sure we stayed on track for time and that everyone was where they were suppose to be. My husband practiced tieing his bowtie all up to the wedding and on the day of nerves got in the way and he couldn't do it. We couldn't find anyone who knew how to tie a bowtie! Patty sent out an emergency call on campus and found a security guard that saved the day! The students did a fantastic job and all my guest were impressed with the attention to detail and their professionalism. I could keep telling you all the amazing things they did for us but then this review would go on and on. Do yourself a favor and book with them! Oh! Did I mention how beautiful the building is?!? Julia Edelstein(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-08-2017 We ended up booking a venue that was a little bit bigger, but I felt like I wanted to write a review because Patty was so wonderful. From the moment I called to schedule a tour she was funny and personable and responded to me right away. When we came for our tour you could just tell she loves what she does and she's adored by all her students. She even went out of her way to draft us a proposal to help us picture the breakdown of everything. I think working with her would have been wonderful throughout! Reviewed on 07-11-2016
Ellie Karre(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-11-2017 This venue was so perfect for our entire wedding day!!! Take it from this bride… DU’s Harper Humanities Garden and Tuscan Ballroom in the Fritz Knoebel School of Hospitality Management Conference & Event Center are absolutely beautiful and romantic locations to host both your wedding ceremony and reception. From the lily pad pond, strolling pathways and the beautiful stone patio canopied by lush trees to the grand Tuscan staircase and adjoining wine cellar, it is picture perfect and elegantly stunning. I can go on and on about how beautiful the venue is but it doesn’t end there. Patty and Stacy, the event planners at Fritz Knoebel, are so professional and kind and have years of event planning experience!! There was not a detail missed, not a single one. They took the time to listen to our vision and ensured that every idea came to life. The menu we created from the chef’s hand-crafted selections was absolutely delicious down to every bite. My husband and I were so impressed with the entire meal and our guests are still raving about the scrumptious passed hors d’oeuvres and the beautiful plated dinner. The entire reception was executed flawlessly by the service staff. As you may know, the students at DU make up the team of service staff and they are incredible! After all, Hospitality is their career path and they are so passionate about providing exceptional service and strive for excellence which executed the entire evening to perfection. My husband and I sat back after everything was said and done and we both agreed without a doubt that, for us, we truly had the perfect wedding and it was all thanks to this incredible team at the University of Denver. Chelsie Lehmann(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-12-2015 THE BEST part of all of the wedding planning that I did. This venue and the team at the Fritz Knoebel is truly truly amazing. The venue itself is already so beautiful that you hardly have to do much decorating (saving money). The team helps with all of the set up and serving with their on-site kitchen and the food was incredible. There are awesome suites for the bride and groom to get ready in on site. I cannot begin to explain all of the amazing things that come with this venue. You have to have to have to go and check it out!! Thank you to everyone there!!! Reviewed on 07-01-2016
Joy Zimmerman(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 24-10-2015 I would put five stars but there was one thing that kept me from doing so. The venue is beautiful and I loved the outdoor/indoor option. Our wedding looked like it cost twice as much than it actually did because not only was everything beautiful, the food was delicious. The servers worked quickly and made sure that everyone got their food quickly and that all the tables were served at about the same time. We were able to use DU's vases and some other decorations so we didn't have to worry about buying our own. \r\rThe thing that was a bit frustrating was that we were told some things by the coordinator at our first meeting and then were told something else at the rehearsal. Our coordinators kept changing and we found out the night before the wedding that the coordinator I had been working with the month before wouldn't be there and that there would be one coordinator there in the morning and then shifts would change and we'd have yet someone else during the afternoon and evening. That wouldn't have been bad if we would have been able to have met them earlier in the month and had their contact information prior to the rehearsal. \r\rWe also realized that we were going to need some tables moved because we were doing a tango for our first dance and would run into them if we kept them how they were. It was like pulling teeth to get them moved. We ended up having to move the tables ourselves. \r\rMy advice to anyone who wants to use DU is definitely use them, just make sure you get EVERYTHING in writing and read over the event order before signing off on it. Thankfully we did because we had to change some stuff several times. \r\rThat's not to say that people weren't friendly or didn't work hard. There were just some inconsistencies that ended up being frustrating. \r\rMore advice: \r- Make sure you know how to reach your onsite coordinators for the day of your event.\r- Ask for a parking pass if you'll be there longer than a hour or two. \r- Ask for a map and clear directions for your wedding party and guests because the building is sometimes confusing to get to because the buildings look very similar. Meara Christian(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-07-2013 The School of Hospitality did a wonderful job with our wedding. I went to school at DU, but also looked at other venues and still came back to the school. The venue is beautiful for about 150 guests with a gorgeous stairway for photos, atrium or outdoor patio for cocktail hour and wine cellar. We had our ceremony in the Harper Humanities Gardens on campus as well. Not only does the venue include catering (good food!), tables, linens, chairs, etc., but they also let us use their decorations and vases. This really helps keep costs down as the price for many venues in Denver is just for the space. The coordinators have a lot of experience and were very focused on the details. They made sure everything was perfect! Everyone was very friendly and the evening was wonderful!\r\rI did find that it was somewhat difficult to get in touch with the managers in a timely manner, which can be a little frustrating closer to the event if you are trying to coordinate your own wedding. Also, be clear on what you want to have served for alcohol and if you want things you don't include available for purchase as we had some confusion with this. Reviewed on 09-08-2013
Emily Blinn(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-07-2013 My husband and I had gone to an event here and were taken back by how beautiful the space was. When we began looking for a reception space this was the first and last place we checked out. The event coordinator Patty is awesome! We were able to reserve the venue without putting down a deposit and she gave us a few months to get the initial deposit together and sign the contract. If you are a DU ALUMNI, ask about a discounted rate! I definitely got one :)\r\rStacy who is Patty's assistant helped us plan out the details of the reception and she is also very sweet. I appreciated how detail oriented they were as well. She got in touch with our DJ and photographer to coordinate all their details too! We brought the decor, cake and favors to the venue the day before and several students who were managing the event were there to meet us along with Stacy. We explained what everything was and they were great about labeling everything (even after I had labeled everything too!)\r\rRight before the cocktail it started raining and it was supposed to be outside. The students working the event rushed everything inside and set up the cocktail hour it the main foyer and directed our guests to the new location. We needed very little decor because they have so much on site (votive candles, mirror squares for centerpieces, the linens were included in the cost as well). The students managing and working the event were very courteous and professional - never missed a step...and the food selections are AMAZING! \r\rThe only big word of advice I can give is that when making payments, use a cashier's check. Because it it a part of the Daniels College of Business, checks have to process through the hospitality school, then Daniels, and then the university. Otherwise, this is a great place for any sort of event and everyone we worked with were very kind and accommodating. If there were more stars I'd give them the most I possibly could. Savannah Adams(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-04-2013 Univ of Denver is an AMAZING venue. I had both my ceremony and reception in the same room. It's so beautiful, very rustic and Italian-feeling. I fell in love with it immediately. There is a gorgeous grand staircase that we got to walk down as our aisle and we loved the intimacy of the whole room. The venue itself; incredible. The service; ten times better. As much as I loved the look of this facility, the service I received from the staff was phenomenal. I got a wedding planner, an event manager and a wedding advisor all in one with this venue. Patty Farmer and Stacy Moore were the absolute best contacts I could have had in planning my wedding. My whole event went so smoothly thanks to their attention and kindness to me! If you have a family member that attended DU (it doesn't have to be you personally!) they will give you HALF OFF your venue rental. This venue full price is an Excellent price for what you get, and half off is the icing on the cake if you have a DU connection. The menu is very affordable. And supremely delicious. We had such a lovely wedding here. We had the ceremony on the patio and the reception inside, and it was just gorgeous. Everyone commented on how excellent the food was, and the service was great too. Plus since it was built recently, there are plenty of outlets, places to get ready, bars, so there weren't any technical issues to deal with. Oh, forgot to mention that the whole meal was gluten and dairy free, and people were coming up to us saying it was the best meal they had had in a really long time. Reviewed on 24-10-2012

Jennifer Pond(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-11-2011 As alumni of the University of Denver, we hosted our wedding ceremony at the Evans Chapel on campus. The rental cost was reasonable, but due to the date of our wedding we were unable to have a rehearsal prior to the event. Though we had gone over all of the details previously with a staff member, those details and changes were not conveyed to the event staff present on the day of the wedding. This meant that the chapel was not set to the way that it was agreed upon, and the candelabras were not in place. Though the event staff tried to make everything correct, they arrived 30 minutes before the wedding and were setting up while our guests were present. Reviewed on 21-12-2011

Every part of the planning process went so smoothly, thanks to Patty and Stacy's hard work. They were so helpful and understand to our tight budget. They block off the entire day for your event, so no feeling rushed out for an evening party or waiting to get in after a morning event.\r\rIf you are planning a wedding in the Denver area, I fully recommend the University of Denver's School of Hotel Management. Katie Mulligan(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-07-2011 Overall, we had an amazing experience at DU. Our ceremony was held at the Evans Memorial Chapel and things went beautifully there. The reception was at the HRTM building and Patty was amazing through the planning process. They really worked with my budget and made sure things were just how I wanted through planning. Sometimes a bit hard to get in touch with, but overall, planning was very smooth!\rThe day of, some issues with the student managers. They were hard to find and there were things that just didn't happen (IE, parking manager wasn't around for guests, signs directing to the church weren't placed). The tables weren't sent up as I had really wanted and the slideshow didn't quite work the way it was supposed to. They were mainly little things. Overall, I'd highly recommend this venue with one caution - appoint someone (NOT yourself or your mom or your wedding party) to be the contact person for the venue. Take them to your planning meeting so they know what's supposed to happen and have them there early to help with the little things that happen. Reviewed on 28-07-2011
