|| LA ARBOLEDA ||
Elegant and charmingly rustic, La Arboleda is the ideal choice for couples seeking an exclusive and unforgettable experience. La Arboleda is nestled in the heart of the picturesque Santa Rita Hills Wine Country with beautiful ceremony backdrops abundant throughout. The estate sits on acres of walnut & olive trees and features entertainment pavilions, a bar, and stage. The rustic dining pavilion is wrapped in glass and trellised with blooming vines. A waterfall feeds into a meandering stream that flows through the heart of the property. The lush and rustic setting truly feels like the perfect escape for an unforgettable wedding weekend.
|| ZACA CREEK ||
Originally built by the founding Buell family of Buellton, Zaca Creek had been an iconic location in the Santa Ynez Valley for generations. After shutting its doors for over 18 years and sitting in wait, it has been resurrected as a provincial wedding venue inspired by 17th century English countryside. The design aesthetic of the stone buildings is entirely old world. From the massive stone and heavy timber exterior of the buildings to the thatch roof and hand carved alder doors, this place feels unique yet cohesive in Santa Barbara wine country.
Zaca Creek can accommodate up to 200 guests. Offering access to the property for your entire wedding weekend to accommodate your rehearsal dinner, ceremony and reception. Offering onsite catering and beverage menus from The Tavern; multiple locations to host your ceremony and reception; and access to The Cellar, our private and exclusive wine cellar, to host your rehearsal dinner. Also included are 6 Tavern Suites that can sleep up to 24 guests.
The venue is beautiful hands down. However, I feel that we had to jump through a lot of hoops with this venue. The venue has a bridal and groom suite that you can stay in. You basically check in on day 1 and check out on day 3 and the venue is yours for the 3 days...at least that is how it was presented to us. We intended on using the space to the fullest because of the cost and it is a great space to utilize. We planned on have rehearsal+dinner day1, ceremony+reception day2, and send off brunch day3 before checking out. We had to get special approval, provide parking lists and designate someone to be in charge of parking in order to have the rehearsal and send off brunch there because of the amount of people who rsvp'd though we assured them that not all of the people would be there at the same time. The bridal suite, while a great place to stay and get ready, had shattered glass all over the patio area. The groom suite, also a great place to stay and get ready, had an incredible (flying) termite problem. We were made aware that we were responsible for the cleanup (eg - taking out the trash) while there, however not told that there are no trash bags for their trash cans. Due to last minute rain, we had to move our ceremony inside. The venue required us to make a less that 24hr decision on if we were going to move our ceremony space or not and if we were to move inside and require additional tarping for the rain, it would be an additional $500. We felt like we were forced into the decision days before the wedding. Yes, it was ultimately our decision, but there was no room for flexibility on if it doesn't rain then let's be outside; it was very black and white for them. The $500 was taken from our security deposit, the additional tarping was done (and looked good), however it leaked the first night and the day of the ceremony. We had multiple guests slip and fall, family members were cleaning up puddles in the middles of the aisle, on chairs (and the dirt off of the chairs that didn't get cleaned), and on the dance floor. Not sure what the $500 went to if this was the result. I know you can only do so much about the weather, but maybe not charge the client for something that isn't going to work. Again, the venue is beautiful, we loved the amenities (bridal and groom suite, bar, stage, etc.), however we do feel that we had to jump through many hoops to have a nice wedding here. Samantha Reiton(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-05-2021 \"Most beautiful venue we've ever seen\" - multiple wedding guests. La Arboleda is the most perfect wedding venue. For one, it is made to be a wedding venue, and therefore, includes a lot of what other venues are missing. Chelsea is really easy to work with, communicative, and super sweet. You rent the venue for the whole weekend, and you really get to feel like the whole place is yours. Chelsea is there if you need help and also provides the space so you really get to feel the venue is all yours. Chelsea also provides great, local vendor recommendations, and every recommendation provided are incredible vendors. You will not regret your decision to select La Arboleda as your wedding venue. Julie Schroeder(parent)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-08-2020 We had booked my daughter's wedding long before the global pandemic hit. My daughter lives overseas, so I was helping her and meeting with the venue myself and she would coordinate with Chelsea, however Chelsea was not prompt in any way ever getting back to her. Our experience has not been a pleasant one and got very bad during this pandemic. We of course signed a \"non refundable deposit\" on our contract, however during these trying times everyone else has worked with us in refunding our deposits , except for La Arboleda, not only would they not consider even a \"partial\" refund, they stopped responding to us all together. Never any sympathy for a devatsated bride, would not return emails or texts. We were very kind to Chelsea in every way and all of a sudden we get a very \"stern\" letter from her attorney asking us not to contact her. It was so disappointing that she could not respond to us and was not willing to work with us at all. I would not recommend dealing with a venue that has no care at all about a situation as upsetting as this has been. Nobody could have predicted this and especially with all the travel restrictions my daughter is unable to get back into the USA at this time. Trying times for all, and dealing with someone with absolutely no compassion for anyone but themselves was a horrible experience. Reviewed on 22-01-2021

It is hard to put into words how amazing Chelsea is. I will start off by explaining that our original wedding was supposed to be June 6, 2020. Everything from our first viewing of the property, all of our contact leading up to it and after, all of my changing plans and million questions were handled swiftly and professionally by Chelsea. When the COVID pandemic hit, Chelsea was incredibly understanding and helpful with moving our wedding date God knows how many times. We eventually decided on June of 2021 for our new date. We were able to move dates at no extra cost, which was refreshing considering everything else a bride normally has to deal with.Now two years later, with the pandemic still going on and our grandparents unable to travel, my Fiance and I had to make the heartbreaking decision to cancel our wedding at La Arboleda. Chelsea has been THE most understanding human in the world. I wish I could have had my wedding here.Let me tell you, the venue itself is incredibly gorgeous. Full of lush greenery, scenery, flowers, green grass, lights and beauty everywhere. The bridesmaids and groomsmen suites are so cute, perfect for getting ready with your girls and celebrating the night before your big day. The indoor reception area is gorgeous, perfect for dancing, toasting and eating, while still open to the outdoor area for games and photo ops. Although I heartbreakingly did not get to have my wedding here, I would HIGHLY recommend La Arboleda to any bride who wants the most beautiful and effortless wedding. And I can guarantee that Chelsea will be your new favorite human. Reviewed on 19-01-2021

Colton Radford(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-09-2018 I got married at La Arboleda this past September and I can’t say enough about how great this venue is! We loved it from the moment we toured last spring. It’s only 2 hours from LA, so it was the perfect distance for us to get out of town for the weekend and not feel like we’d driven all day and night to get somewhere we could breathe. Most importantly, it’s in central coast wine country and if you’re into Pinot Noir like I am, you’ll love being walking distance from incredible wineries. We came here wine tasting and one of my favorite wineries directed us to this venue for our wedding and it is seriously a hidden gem! The grounds are beautiful. The owners are really helpful and awesome to work with. They even helped me get great local deals from wineries and breweries they had connections with for our wedding. The whole weekend went by so fast. I’m so happy we chose this as our venue. We can’t wait to come back for an anniversary! Reviewed on 27-02-2019
Linda Radford(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-09-2018 Our son got married here in the fall and we absolutely loved this venue! It’s really beautiful and has so much space! We had everything we needed onsite for the vendors and guests to make his wedding weekend exactly what he and his wife envisioned and it felt so easy! It was so nice to be able to do the rehearsal dinner, wedding and Sunday brunch all in one location. The other huge bonus was having the ability to bring in different caterers and vendors for each event to make it fun for both our families. We had so much fun planning the rehearsal dinner and the venue owners were so helpful. The online planning tools they sent us made it really simple to figure out table layouts and they even had their staff set it all up before we arrived. I definitely recommend this venue for a relaxing wedding weekend in Santa Barbara’s wine country. Reviewed on 26-02-2019
Kristina Richardson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-10-2018 One of the easiest wedding decisions my husband and I made was choosing La Arboleda as our venue! We found the venue online & loved what we saw, but we were a little hesitant as it's about a 2 hour drive from where we live. In our search for venues, each one seemed to lack something, so we decided to just go look at La Arboleda in person. As soon as we arrived for the tour, we knew it was going to be the place we got married at. Not only did we fall in love with the layout of the venue (on-site Bridal and Groom suites, the most beautiful bar and dining pavilion, large dance floor, etc!), we instantly felt like we were friends with Chelsea, the owner. The entire planning process was so easy with them, and it never felt like a \"business deal\ Reviewed on 03-12-2018
Laurel Lyman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-04-2018 I cannot say enough good things about La Arboleda in general or about Chelsea in particular. From the very first visit we were absolutely in love with everything about this venue, and Chelsea just made the entire process so easy.Some of my favorite aspects:- The pricing is straightforward and simple. You get the entire property, along with all the tables, chairs, etc. for 4 full days, which made setup and breakdown a breeze. AND we stayed on site, so we didn't have to worry about the logistics or cost involved in separate accommodations!- The venue is so beautiful on its own that we barely had to do any decorating. We kept our \"theme\" simple and rustic, with lots of DIY personal touches. Our guests loved it, and we loved doing it.- It's so unique. I can tell you from experience that you won't find another venue that has all the rustic feel you want but all the modern amenities as well. - Chelsea! Chelsea was so helpful throughout our planning process - from giving us insight/recommendations for local vendors to helping us come up with a rainy day plan. You can tell that this place means the world to her, and she gives each wedding the personal attention it deserves. Reviewed on 20-04-2018

Everything worked out so smooth and they helped accommodate to our needs that we didn't even think of. We had the venue for 4 days and 3 nights and couldn't be more happy. We were able to have our rehearsal dinner there the night before the wedding as well. The venue is breath taking and they have done such an amazing job at creating the best venue in the area. Regina Kytman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-11-2016 Our entire experience at La Arboleda was impressive on many different levels. It's a family business and it's done with a personal touch and big hart. Chelsea and her parents put together the most amazing venue and package, which no doubt will be a great success!Location: It's a walnut orchard situated in the middle of beautiful wineries - it really can't be better. If you are lucky (as we were), you will get a chance not only to get drunk in multiple tasting rooms around the place, but also try some amazing organic walnuts! Another important location point, La Arboleda is 15 minutes from town of Solvang (read: touristy and expensive) and about the same from Lompoc (local, budget, but still nice). Our wedding guests were able to choose from accommodations that fit any budget and style, which we found extremely helpful. Venue: Specifically build for weddings / events with a lot of creativity and taste. Classy or rustic style – can be decorated either way. Quality and professionalism: As I mentioned earlier, it's a family business, and we were their first official clients / wedding. I have to say I am very impressed with the Chelsea and her family. We got a very personal treatment, quick responses to all our requests and they even made customized changes for us. For example, per our request on a short notice they changed restroom building entrances to a rustic barn doors (the restroom building is very central and restrooms would end up on most of our pictures). With the changes it looked as a natural part of the setting. We were treated and felt like we are a part of their family. As we were planning and setting up the wedding ourselves, this personal touch made a huge difference in our experience.Pricing: Very competitive and very thoughtful. The cost is on a lower end for the area. It’s not only the price; it’s convenience and reduced stress that makes it so great. Their price INCLUDES tables, chairs, heaters, barrels, etc – all the major additional expensive rental pains at every other locations we’ve checked. They have a large pavilion, so you won’t need to rent a tent either. And their tables perfectly match the setting btw! Almost forgot, it includes a bride and groom cottages on the premises that fit 4 people each (in case 1 bride and 1 groom is not enough for you). On a serious note, it was very helpful as we brought a few friends to help with the setup the day before the wedding, and we all had a place to stay and hang out. The place was in the last phase of construction in early November, so it should be all beautifully finished by now and ready to go! Yes, it’s still brand new even after our wedding. Thank you, La Arboleda! We had a great experience working with you and an amazing wedding! Reviewed on 01-12-2016
Anonymous (groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-12-2016 We had our wedding late last year at La Arboleda and it was everything we had hoped for in a wedding and reception venue. There was a wonderfully tranquil feeling to the venue, right in the heart of Santa Barbara wine country with tons vineyards around and even a fish-filled stream & rotating water wheel right on the property. The staff of La Arboleda were immeasurably accommodating to all of our needs, and given that it was a night-time winter wedding, were many. A large performance stage was perfect for our DJ to play music all night long, but I could easily see a full band rocking out on stage, and since we were out in the country we didn't have to worry about sound ordinances as we danced the night away. Spanish-style casitas allowed us to have plenty of options to have separate photo, gift, and cake areas as well. I would wholeheartedly recommend this place, and could even see us doing something again here in the future. Reviewed on 25-05-2016

My family has lived in Santa Rita Hills for 15+ years and we're happy to share the beauty and romantic charm of this wine country location.
