Beautiful, timeless, classy, elegant! PLEASE do yourself a favor and take a tour and request information immediately for this venue. It was so nice having the ceremony in the GORGEOUS Rotunda and then the reception in the Grand Ballroom. We didn't even need to spend money on decorations for the Rotunda because it was already picture-ready! The team/staff are professional and amazing folks all-around. Yes, this event center is a little stricter than most but it is for good reason and again, our wedding was absolutely flawless.

You will not regret this venue. They are more affordable than whatever else you are thinking of in Central Florida if you want your ceremony and/or reception in front of a lake and to have a beautiful Florida charm that you and your guests will dig. Lake Mary Event Center does not feel like either an old, historic nor upscale, highly modern venue. It is somewhere beautifully in between. Your guests can enjoy the beautiful lake, courtyard, and rotunda, while also feeling like getting lit and crazy on the dance floor later on in the same night in the ballroom. The staff are super professional in the whole process and their website and contract make a lot of things self-explanatory rather than stressful and confusing.

Beautiful, professional and classic all the way around. Our wedding was everything and more thanks to the help and guidance of the Lake Mary Event Center Team and staff. From the start of the planning process to the rehearsal and the day of the event, our wedding was beyond enjoyable and elegant in every way. The team is stellar and was extremely on top of communicating details with us and I always felt like they had our backs and wanted our day to be the most wonderful that it could be. I truly don’t think our day could have been any more smooth and the people here have it all figured out!

I LOVE this venue. The staff I communicated with was amazing and my day of coordinator was able to take over smoothly in the days leading up to the wedding. The entire venue is gorgeous. I wanted something in a ballroom, but most places were SO expensive. LMEC was reasonably priced. You have to book very far in advance since it's such a popular venue, but it was so worth it. I would have my wedding here 100 times over.

On 4/30/23 My husband and I got married at this venue. I'm happy to say LMEC is the only vendor that we had NO problems with. They were great. We had a tour, rehersal, ceremony, and reception here. It was beautiful. One thing I did not like about LMEC for a wedding is having to use one of the caterers off of their approved list. We did not have the best experience with our caterer (Magic Occasions) which we picked because they were the cheapest option, but was still over our original budget. We wish they let us pick whatever we wanted. Another downfall was that the rental was only for 8hrs, not the whole day. 8 hours is very fast because it had to include set up and clean up. We had to end the reception early because of a misunderstanding about time. So our reception was only 2 hours long, which sucked a lot. You can buy extra hours but its about $400 per hour and we couldn't afford to do that. They also had a bunch of smaller rules but nothing we couldn't work around. Good things about the venue included letting us move the ceremony inside the day before due to bad weather and great communication from the people who work there. Overall I'm glad we went with this venue.

Beautiful venue and we initially worked with Alyssa, who is no longer there, but Carmen stepped up and helped us out! Her emails were a bit backed up because she was taking on double duty but she always picked up the phone and answered any questions we had. The venue was amazing and they made sure to have everything set and ready for us, and we didn't experience any hiccups on our special day! Wouldn't change a thing!

The property had plenty of free parking for guests, and the landscaping by the lake was gorgeous for photos. We had our wedding on June 20, 2022 and it was more perfect than we could have imagined! The Lake Mary Events Center was breathtaking on our special day. We has a micro wedding with 20 guests and held our ceremony in the Rotunda with the lake as our backdrop. I never had to stress about rain (it's summer in Central Florida) because I knew we would be inside but with the beauty of nature still shining through the large windows. We then used half the ballroom for our reception and it was the perfect space. I wanted a venue that didn't require much work to transform the space, and that is exactly what I got! We had minimal décor and the natural beauty of the venue helped to elevate our day. I would recommend anyone to get married here!

Lynzie and Alyssa were super friendly and easy to reach whenever we had any questions about the setup/contract. The day of, everything was setup the way we had imagined, our vendors did not have any issues accessing the property, and both the ceremony and reception happened without any major hiccups. Highly recommend this venue for your wedding!

Very beautiful venue. The price was great and their selection of caterers appealed to different tastes and budgets. We were supposed to have cocktail hour on the patio but due to the rain, we had a change of plans, and the venue quickly changed cocktail hour to indoors. There were no issues with setup nor complaints from the residential area and I am so happy that we chose this venue for our wedding! I would only suggest that you read the venue restrictions to make sure that you don't run into any issues on the day of.

The rotunda was my favorite part, with all the open windows to see the beautiful view but still being able to be inside from this summer heat! This venue treated my fiancé and I with such a lack of courtesy and professionalism. We had asked to move our date due to unforeseen circumstances, with 10 months notice, and were met with distasteful remarks from the front desk assistant and manager. We were also told that we were “inconveniencing” other couples by reserving that date but being unable to complete the event. This was supposed to be a beautiful date, and we were forced to seek alternative options due to their lack of flexibility and customer service. I hope other couples have better outcomes than we did. I will never return back to this venue.

We just had our wedding at Lake Mary Events Center over the weekend. This venue was exactly what we were looking for and more! The rotunda where we chose to have our ceremony is absolutely breathtaking with it's floor to ceiling windows, natural light, and view of the lake. Our cocktail hour was outside on the lawn and patio where there are two beautiful trellises and a fountain, overlooking the picturesque lake. Our reception was inside the ballroom. It was spacious and also features large windows that look out on the patio and lake. Our guests all commented on what a beautiful venue we had. We chose to the book the venue for the entire day so that the bridesmaids and I could have our hair and make-up done on-site. We were able to use the meeting room to get ready, but they also have a smaller bridal suite where we took pictures and a groom's room where the groomsmen changed. The team at Lake Mary Events Center, including Alyssa, was great to work with throughout the planning process and on the day of our wedding. Highly recommend considering Lake Mary Events Center for your wedding!

I had my wedding here a little over a week ago and I am so glad that Lake Mary Events Center was my wedding venue. The rotunda is simply beautiful and one of the main reasons why I decided to book with them. I wanted something both indoors and outdoors because of unpredictable FL weather and the venue had just that. You have to see this venue in person because pictures do not do it justice. I had the pleasure of touring the facility with Alyssa and she was my main point of contact for booking and following-up to the event. Alyssa is extremely sweet, professional and honestly one of my favorite vendors to work with. She is so patient and always readily available to answer your questions. Thank you Alyssa and LMEC staff for making our wedding day special!

This venue was PERFECT for our wedding! The pricing was great, the rotunda was gorgeous, and outside was sooo beautiful. We got some amazing photos within and around the entire facility. We just got married at Lake Mary Events Center over the weekend and we’re so happy we booked this venue. We had our ceremony in the Rotunda and it was so beautiful. Everyone loved the location and it really has everything. The view is outstanding, the ballroom is spacious and you have the option to have your ceremony inside or outside. Alyssa was helpful every step of the way and even gave us recommendations of what other couples have done for their weddings, some of which we used for our wedding. Cannot recommend this venue or the staff enough!

Alyssa was responsive and made our planning process very smooth. Terry and Alex, who managed the venue on our wedding day, did an excellent job with making sure we and our vendors had everything we needed. Overall, we are definitely happy that we had our wedding at LMEC and would 100% recommend this venue.

In the wedding world, you get 1/2 of what you paid for and you're almost always over charged. That is not the case with LMEC!!! It was worth every penny and more! Please don't ever ever ever increase your prices!!! Beautiful venue with so many options for every bride, groom, budget and timeline. The staff is wonderfully kind and immensely helpful. Speak with Linzey (I think I spelt it wrong)- she knows the venue well, gives great advice and is happy to walk alongside you to make sure that LMEC is everything that you want it to be. Absolutely beautiful space. You can and will create your lasting memories here with your spouse, loved ones and friends. Stunning venue with gorgeous windows and backdrop views in the rotunda, plenty of space in the ballroom for whatever you use it for, awesome lake and covered patio area for pictures. It started to rain during our bridal party group photos so we gathered our things and went under the patio. Honestly, those are some of my favorite photos from the whole day! The vendor list for catering is a broad one. I strongly suggest meeting with EVERY SINGLE ONE, tasting their food and discussing prices. Long story short: take the extra money you saved by choosing an affordable venue like LMEC and TALK ABOUT THE SERVING SIZES with your caterer. You are going to spend thousands of dollars on food for you and your guests. Make sure you know exactly what a plate for your guests will include (how many servings, how large of a serving, are they going to make sure your guest count can eat or will they assume 10% of your guests are a no-show on the day of?) You cannot make up for a lack of food at your wedding. That being said, I do not, cannot and will not recommend JM catering.But we did hire LMEC and I couldn't be happier!

A great venue all the way around. Highly recommend.My initial draw to LMEC was their built-in costs. Tables and chairs (indoor and outdoor) are included in their rental fee which is a huge bargain compared to many venues I had looked at. They are a city-owned center, so every cost is spelled out nice and neat on their website. No guess work involved. We had a weekday ceremony, making the cost even lower. They have a list of approved vendors (4 Rivers in on there and who we used -and wanted to begin with-) and you are able to provide your own alcohol.The venue itself is beautiful. Right on a lake with an amazing sunset (if the weather cooperates, which it absolutely did on our day). There is a large ballroom (with a dance floor already there), small rooms for the Bride and Groom parties (although I recommend getting ready at a hotel or somewhere else, it's a little small for hair and makeup but a great room to relax in before the ceremony.) The rotundra room is very beautiful and great if you want an indoor ceremony or to use it as a photobooth room. It was also such a relief to have a backup location if the weather did not cooperate with us. We had an outdoor ceremony and the trellis we faced was a perfect backdrop. The venue was very helpful and worked with us during our covid postponing. They do not allow drop off of anything the day before, only once your rental time starts. I purchased a few extra hours to allow for drop off of my decor and for the vendors to have time to set up. Keep this in mind when planning your time (I believe weekend rentals include the whole day but weekday rentals start at 4pm). All in all I could not have asked for a better venue. I'm so glad I found LMEC and you will absolutely love them as your venue.

Cristin was our manager up till the month prior to our wedding, which she did amazing in answering all my questions and needs, especially due to Covid. After she left, the leadership was not as flexible as expected especially with a pandemic going on. *very business like and stuck to the contract, which I understand in any normal circumstance pre-covid.

The Lake Mary Event Center is the most beautiful venue I’ve ever seen hands done. I wanted to host my wedding at LMEC because it has a romantic feel, the same feeling you get when watching a romance movie on television. The way the suns light hits the Rotunda during the Golden Hour, was my favorite part. I was also very happy to see the carpet in the ballroom got an update. The new carpet compliments the dance floor, and the window curtain much better! Thank you to Cristin who was my point of contact for 16 months! She was amazing, and helpful throughout the whole process.

They understood the importance of keeping people safe during this crazy time, but they also understood the importance of still having a special day.Second, the place is stunning (obviously.) My husband and I wanted an outdoor waterfront ceremony, but we wanted a beautiful backup plan (because...ya know, Florida weather.) This place checks all the boxes. The lakefront views, the rotunda, the ballroom ... it's absolutely picture perfect. And, compared to a lot of other Florida venues it felt very affordable. To sum it up, if you're comparing and contrasting a bunch of Florida venues: stop here. Book Lake Mary Events Center. You'll get stunning lake views and a team of the kindest professionals you'll ever meet.

Beautiful venue, we had our wedding in the rotunda in August and you have the best view and feel of being outside without the heat. We also had to reschedule our April wedding due to the pandemic and Lake Mary did not charge us anything to change our date which we are thankful for, they were extremely understanding of the situation and took all necessary precautions.

We loved our venue and are so thankful to have found LMEC. This beautiful location was everything was wanted. The multiple spaces available are each wonderful. My husband wanted an indoor ceremony and I never thought in my wildest wedding dreams that I would agree to it. But when I walked into the Rotunda, I knew I wanted to say our vows there. I loved every part of our day here. I would recommend to future brides to consider paying the extra money to enter the building an hour early. It is the only thing that I wish we had done differently. We had a 4:30 ceremony and that first hour and a half in the building was incredibly stressful and rushed. I thought $300 for one hour was too steep but reflecting back on it now, it would have been well worth it to be able to slow down and breathe. Every other minute there was flawless!

My husband wanted an indoor ceremony and I never thought in my wildest wedding dreams that I would agree to it. But when I walked into the Rotunda, I knew I wanted to say our vows there. I loved every part of our day here. I would recommend to future brides to consider paying the extra money to enter the building an hour early. It is the only thing that I wish we had done differently. We had a 4:30 ceremony and that first hour and a half in the building was incredibly stressful and rushed. I thought $300 for one hour was too steep but reflecting back on it now, it would have been well worth it to be able to slow down and breathe. Every other minute there was flawless!

Its floor to ceiling windows gave our big moment the beauty of the outdoors with the comfort of A/C and not having to worry about if it would rain (because, Florida...). The trellis areas outside were a gorgeous location to take pictures. The staff was awesome to work with. We visited the site several times to take measurements, ask questions, and as long as we checked ahead that the space wasn't rented we were allowed to come in and explore. That was very convenient. The one thing that I did not 100% enjoy were the bridal and groom rooms. First, they are located right next door to each other. This makes it difficult for both parties to get ready and go out for pictures without seeing each other. Second, the furnishings and color scheme, especially in the brides room, are dated. A refreshing in the brides room would create a better atmosphere for all of the getting-ready photos that take place there.

This venue was PERFECT!!! When I first started looking, I thought I wanted something outdoors. The moment I walked through the front door and saw the rotunda walkway, I knew it had to be our aisle. We also decided on a Summer wedding, so having everything inside worked out perfectly! We had cocktail hour in the front entrance and hallway area. Our ceremony was in the rotunda and then we had our reception in the ballroom. Much doesn’t have to be done to this venue because it’s so gorgeous on its own. The only “complaint” I had about the venue was not being able to book our rehearsal until 30 days before the wedding. Although we had the entire payment made, they would not allow us to book the rehearsal. I had to keep calling and checking to see if the day we planned to have our rehearsal was open. This incident bothered me a little after all the money we spent, but I understand they want to leave the venue open to other people. We were lucky enough that it didn’t get booked the day before and were able to have our rehearsal there. Other than this one issue everything else was perfect!

The room was filled with so much natural light, and you could see the lake out the floor to ceiling windows. I was afraid that the ballroom would be too large for a guest count of 100 people, but many guests told me it felt comfortable. The venue is beautiful on it's own, so not a lot of decor is needed, but it has neutral colors as a backdrop to any decor you choose. I did rent chairs from an outside vendor because I wanted to dress up the ballroom a little more, but the white folding chairs were great for our ceremony.

When booking you have many options for hour blocks and rooms to book. We were able to book the entire building for Ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception. Our guests loved that! As far as vendors, you can only book the food vendors they offer which is around ten I believe. I recommend Magic Ocassions! We had the building from 1 till midnight which was plenty of time to set up and clean up. They also offer both bride and grooms suites. Overall, if I could get married here again I would!

So many great things to say! I will start off by saying my wedding had to be rescheduled 2 days before the actual scheduled wedding date because of Hurricane Irma. It was originally scheduled for 9/9/17 and we ended up rescheduling to 6/30/18. As you can imagine me & my husband were extremely stress & frazzled over the whole situation but Caroline and the whole staff at Lake Mary Events Center made the rescheduling seamless and made us feel at ease. Lake Mary Event Center was an amazing venue to have my wedding. The Rotunda was breathtaking. The location fit our theme of \"romantic garden wedding\". We had the ceremony in the Rotunda. The cocktail hour outside by the lake. The reception in the main ballroom. The staff was very helpful and responsive. It is a very affordable option for brides who want the ceremony and reception at the same location. Since we had a rented the whole building, we had access to all the conference rooms. After 3 tastings with other caterers on the list we decided to go with PuffnStuff (who were AMAZING!). Also they have a sound level threshold for the DJ, since the venue is located in a neighborhood. Other than that, I loved the location and would recommend it to other brides.

Lake Mary Event Center was an amazing venue to have my wedding. The Rotunda was breathtaking. The location fit our theme of \"romantic garden wedding\". We had the ceremony in the Rotunda. The cocktail hour outside by the lake. The reception in the main ballroom. The staff was very helpful and responsive. It is a very affordable option for brides who want the ceremony and reception at the same location. Since we had a rented the whole building, we had access to all the conference rooms. The venue was absolutely PERFECT for our wedding! This venue is on a beautiful lake side and was naturally decorated well so minimal decorations were needed to make this venue look spectacular. We had a destination wedding and there was plenty of parking for all the guests. Our hotel and the venue have a partnership in which they shuttled people back and forth which was really nice! Rotunda was perfect as a backup space (since it rained on my wedding day), no big deal! I highly recommend this venue to any couple !

Absolutely beautiful venue for our wedding on March 25th. The rotunda was perfect for our ceremony. We chose to have the white curtains closed and it made for such an ethereal, beautiful view. The cocktail area is perfect and the ballroom was great as well. The lake and green space were perfect for stunning sunset photos. Highly reccomend booking early because we had to change our date around in order to book this venue as it sells out far in advanced.

Lake Mary Events Center was so easy to work with as our wedding venue. We live in Brandon, so I was worried about having to plan every aspect of our wedding from three hours away. LMEC was a breeze! When you book, you essentially book the entire building for your wedding, so you can use any space for any purpose needed, including their projectors and other equipment! The only downfall is that this venue is run by the Lake Mary government. Their hours to tour the facility, ask questions, or schedule rehearsal are very limited. We were unable to do a rehearsal at the venue. On our wedding day, my husband was told that he could not move their audio/visual equipment that he had been previously told prior to the wedding wouldn't be an issue. We also wanted to move the lovely rocking chairs that they have at the front of the building to the back so guests could enjoy the beautiful grounds during cocktail hour, but were told they were not to be moved. The staff was very unhelpful on the day of our wedding, but I had so many compliments on the venue from guests that it didn't matter in the end. If you select this incredible venue, just know that working with government employees can be difficult!

The Lake Mary Events Center was the PERFECT place for our event. Don't let their website fool you.. its a BEAUTIFUL PLACE! I discounted it at first because their website doesn't do it justice. Being in FL, for a summer wedding I knew I wanted indoor ceremony and reception. The rotunda area gave us an indoor, air conditioned ceremony, but you basically look like you are outside with the glass walls! The patio is perfect because you can have guests go outside, but they don't have to stay out there and they are shaded. It stormed but we had yard games out for the guests as well. The lake out back hosts the most beautiful sunsets. It is the most perfect backdrop, without the stress of outdoor planning! The ballroom is lovely and was just the right size for our wedding-- not too big or too small! (160 guests). They were helpful and let us visit several times during our planning to visualize the spaces we were going to decorate. They book up fast so check it out! Its the perfect spot for an all indoor, florida wedding!

This was my dream venue. Spaceous, absolutely gorgeous, and more or less a space you can really make your own. I loved that there were fantastic options for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies. With a June wedding, we decided to have ours in the Rotunda, and with the huge windows and lake view it was beautifiul! I loved that my guests didn't have to leave the building at any point. The lobby and outside hosted our cocktail hour and the ballroom was perfect for our reception. The ballroom is pretty big, but looked just fine with our smaller wedding size of ~80 people. And the outdoor space for pictures is so pretty!! The staff at the event's center were FANTASTIC! We talked to Caroline and Alyssa many times and they were always so responsive and helpful. In the weeks leading up to our wedding we popped in several times to test things out and it was never a problem. The two on-site groundskeepers were also so so helpful! There are some rules that the event's center has that anyone booking them should be aware of. There is a noise ordinance, but every DJ I talked to was aware of it. My guests were relatively rowdy and it was never an issue. They also only allow you to book one of their preferred caterers (there are about 10 or so). This almost kept my husband and I from booking them, as about 8 of them would have been double our budget. But Magic Occasions and 4Rivers (who we used, and loved!) were reasonably priced. Overall, I am so happy that I had my wedding at the Lake Mary Event's Center. It was absolutely perfect!

Several outdoor areas for a ceremony (which we had planned to use), however due to the Florida rains they have an absolutely amazing Rotunda area inside to seat over 150 guests. And the Ballroom looked phenomenal with a King's Table for the Bridal Party and the Sweetheart Table at the end for the Bride and Groom. The admin team worked w/us to accommodate all of our needs - especially when we realized we had to move the Cocktail Hour from the Rotunda to the Foyer Area. Thanks to Alyssa, Caroline and your staff/workers for creating a wonderful wedding venue for our daughter. The only downside - is the Bridal Room is really too small if you have more than 3 Bridesmaids to get ready in, but we rented their large Meeting Room for the day as our Get Ready Room and it worked out perfectly !! And having the wedding on a Monday - worked well for our budget.

My husband and I got married in the rotunda at the Lake Mary Events Center on 3/26/2017. Our day was gorgeous. The facility is beautiful and has the perfect ambiance for a classic, beautiful event. We received countless compliments from our guests and family during and following the event. The view during the ceremony was pristine, the trellises and gardens were perfect backdrops for our photos, the atmosphere of the cocktail hour was wonderful and the reception location couldn't have gone better. We only had about 80 guests and I was a little worried about the room looking empty, but it didn't at all. The LMEC was the first venue I looked at when I started my planning, and I instantly fell in love. We were a little hesitant at first due to the high venue cost, but we chose a Sunday date to make it work. Caroline was wonderful to work with and I loved how they had a proven vendor directory to steer us in a trusted direction while planning.

Our experience with the Lake Mary Events Center started a bit rocky with our initial advisors, but quickly changed when we began working with Caroline, their newest advisor. She was beyond helpful and always was quick to answer my questions. She was the person I had hoped we started working with from the beginning! The Lake Mary Events Center was the most beautiful venue that we had viewed and we knew instantly that we wanted to get married there. We looked into dates and of course in hot and rainy August they had one date left for over a year. We decided to put weather aside because we were so in love with the venue. The LMEC was a wonderful venue and so easy for our guests to not have to leave the venue the entire day. The rotunda was beautiful and gave off the feeling of sitting outside on this beautiful lake but with air conditioning. Our security guard that night was amazing as well and made sure the entire event ran smoothly and set up our video slideshow as well throughout the venue. The picture perfect scenery outside of the events center is great for your wedding photo shoot and I cannot wait to see our album! We highly recommend this beautiful wedding venue!

We had the ceremony by the lakeside. We loved that it is the same place as the reception, so our guests do not need to drive in between. Our guests gave us many complements on how beautiful the venue was. The staff was pleasant, answered all my questions, and very professional. They provided us with very straightforward pricing. We end up booked for additional time, so our vendors had addition time to set up and we had more time to dance the night away. You will have access to the whole building, so you can choose to get ready there! They have plenty of tables and chairs for you to use for free. I recommend to book way a head of time because they are book up “extremely” quickly! We wanted the Saturday, but the date was already on hold for a couple that later decided to booked. We then booked our wedding on the Friday instate. Later on they told us that there was another couple wanted that same Saturday. Our wedding date was a little bit over than a year form the date that we had booked!

We cannot say enough great things about this venue. The location is perfect, the staff is very helpful in planning. Providing suggestions without being pushy. Highly recommended.

I am SO grateful that I was lucky enough to have my wedding here. The sunset on my rotunda ceremony and outdoor cocktail hour was absolutely beautiful. We got comments all night long about how beautiful the venue was. Just know that you have to book way in advance to get a Saturday wedding! We booked exactly 18 months in advance on the first day it was open for our date!

The standard hotel/ballroom were out of the question for us, but we still wanted a \"ballroom\" that was all ours for our wedding day - sharing moments with other guests was out of the question. The Lake Mary EC was a little out of our budget range (cut from other areas to have our wedding there), but it was perfect - beautiful grounds, right around the corner from our house, and the staff was very professional and helpful throughout it all! We got to bring in all of our own vendors without being limited to a specific list, so that was also a big plus!

Such a beautiful venue! We had our wedding here a little over 2 weeks ago and our guests are still talking about what a beautiful place it is! The price is very reasonable for the gorgeous scenery and well-kept building!
