We recently had the pleasure of hosting our wedding at Lake Valhalla, and we cannot express how thrilled we are with the entire experience. The venue is absolutely stunning. The picturesque surroundings create an enchanting atmosphere that is simply breathtaking. Our guests were in awe of the beauty and charm that the venue exuded. The staff were exceptional. From the initial planning stages to the day of the event, they were professional, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our wedding was flawless. The wedding coordinator, Daniel, is a true gem. His expertise and experience were evident as he guided us through the planning process, offering valuable insights and suggestions, and their attention to detail ensured that every element of the day was executed seamlessly. Our wedding day was perfect. Daniel thought of every single detail and executed everything seamlessly. From making sure our cocktail hour was outside (despite potential rain) because it was important to us, to making sure we had enough to eat and drink, to organizing the bridal party/family for intros, speeches, and dances. Multiple people told us it was the best organized wedding they'd ever been to. The venue itself is gorgeous and photos do it no justice. The food is great and the drinks are well made. Coleen was amazing to work with leading up to the wedding-fast and smooth communication every time we reached out. We are so grateful we found this hidden gem and would choose it again every time.

What a wonderful venue for a wedding. The view is a beautiful backdrop for the wedding ceremony. The grounds are beautifully maintained and planted with flowers creating a gorgeous landscape. We got married on June 10 2023. It was a perfect day for us!! We heard non stop compliments from our guests! The food was awesome! The place is too pretty and has a lot to offer! Our guests said this has been a funnest wedding they ever attended. Dance floor never empty, some guests walked on the sand, sit around bonfire, sit looking at the lake, and photobooth was a hit! Coleen, the director is so nice. she answered all our questions, accommodated my request to change the side for our main course. Daniel is awesome! He will be your day coordinator and he made sure the DAY went smooth, he also set up all the decorations and made them pretty. He gave us 15 mins time alone in bridal suite for us to eat all the food from cocktail hour before introduce us to reception room. We took pictures with bonfire with sunset as a background. We took pictures with the boat in the middle of the lake. You will love this place as much as I do!!

We recently had our wedding at Lake Valhalla Club in Montville, NJ on 10/15/22. We had booked our event over a year and a half ago, so we had a long time to plan for the day. Something that was so awesome about having a wedding there was the complimentary, temporary membership provided. This courtesy allowed us ample time to visit the club for dinner and attend other special events. We became very comfortable with the venue and were always treated with hospitality and respect. Leading up to the event, there was a new Director of Sales hired, Coleen who stepped into her role with ease and was so supportive. She was always available by phone or email to answer any questions and help guide the planning process. The Assistant Banquet Director, Michael was also very supportive and always warm and attentive when we would visit the venue. Just a couple of weeks before our wedding, a new Banquet Director, Daniel was hired. We were very anxious about working with someone new, wondering if he would be able to step in so quickly and manage a successful event. Having over 25 years of experience, Daniel engaged with us with thoughtfulness and enthusiasm. His meticulous and organized nature guided our timeline for the day and brought our dream wedding to life. He attended to us throughout the day, making sure we were well-nurtured and nourished, and ensured that everything ran smoothly. So many of our friends and family members commented about the amazing venue and awesome food. I must also mention the beautiful grounds at Lake Valhalla Club. The lakeside arch and picturesque landscape provided a peaceful, breathtaking canvas for our wedding ceremony and photos. We feel very blessed to have celebrated our most special day at Lake Valhalla Club.

If I could leave a 100 star review, I would. Claudio and his team are truly top notch. From the day we met Claudio at our tasting, I was immediately at ease about our wedding day. He is so calm and reassuring that he will do anything you ask of him (within reason). As the days got closer, I became pretty stressed. Bartenders were fantastic, efficient, and friendly. There was never ever a line at the bars. Serving staff was amazing!I literally have nothing bad to say about this place and it's staff. It truly is a hidden gem and you would be lucky to have your wedding here.

This is a nice venue, and your guests will have a great time. However, do hire a wedding coordinator and do not rely on the venue at all for literally anything. My original contact (Kristine) was let go, and no one notified me. They hired someone new (Colleen) and she did the bare minimum. Day of my wedding, the venue wasnât even open for us to get ready in. The grounds keeper had to let us in and get us set up. They placed the groomsmen in a run down shed outside when they were supposed to be upstairs in the conference room. Colleen did not communicate a single thing to maitre d (Claudio) and the venue staff. Do not rely on her for anything. The entire night was behind by a half hour because the maitre d had us wait about 20 min off to the side of the ballroom to enter the reception. Therefore my photographer left before many of the planned events of the night, including fire pit and cake cutting. The maitre d gave us the hardest time about cake cutting. He kept telling us not to do it, when it was important to us to do. My DJ had to step in and tell him to essentially back off. We had brought donuts in and they forgot to bring them out until the end of dessert.Last but not least, my husbands wallet was stolen by the staff. It was in a secure, locked room, and by the end of the night it was gone. Lake Valhalla Club has not done anything in terms of compensation. All they said was they were sorry, and thatâs it. This was such an issue because we were leaving for our honeymoon the next day. Again, beautiful place, but bring in your own people and keep all your belongings in your car if you can.

We got married at The Lake Valhalla Club this fall and it was an absolute dream! We were lucky enough to have a beautiful day and therefore were able to have an indoor/outdoor wedding and enjoy every area of the property. The property was well kept and the food was delicious. Claudio and Mike were awesome and ensured every moment of our special day was perfect. Kristine was also always an email away during the planning process. We would happily reccomend this location to others.

We were lucky enough to have a beautiful day and therefore were able to have an indoor/outdoor wedding and enjoy every area of the property. The property was well kept and the food was delicious. If you are looking for a unique, intimate, and lakefront venue for your wedding, look no further than Lake Valhalla Club. The building and grounds are beautiful and well taken care of. There is an old world charm to all of the little details that make this place feel special. The view of the lake is breathtaking from the reception room and ceremony space outside. The food is absolutely the best Iâve ever had at a wedding or banquet type affair. Itâs magical that they are able to provide restaurant quality food at that quantity! Kristine and Claudio were both so easy to work with. Kristine is quick to respond and answer every question. And Claudio can run a wedding in his sleep! My guests were blown away by this venue and I couldnât have imagined our wedding anywhere else!

She was professional and thorough and gathering all details. Claudio, Mike, and Dan were the best! They make sure every detail was covering during our ceremony and reception. However, planning our wedding (twice) at Lake Valhalla with Kristine and her team has been one of the easiest processes. We originally booked back in January 2019 and ever since then we have had nothing but a positive experience dealing with everyone at Lake Valhalla. Kristine has been amazing with her communication and is very timely to responding to the countless emails we have sent her the past 2.5 years. She made changing our October 2020 wedding to October 2021, the easiest. Even now with cases on the rise she has been incredibly understanding and accommodating to our ever changing plans. Every time I have been stressed or worried about something during our wedding planning process, she has eased my stress. I cannot recommend Lake Valhalla enough and once you see pictures of the lake, you too will fall in love with it like we did! We are looking forward to FINALLY getting married at Lake Valhalla this October!!!

A beautiful and peace venue run by a professional and courteous staff. I'm a musician and I performed for 2 weddings at Lake Valhalla last summer. I was warmly welcomed by the general manager and staff, who made sure I had everything I needed to get set up. My clients were thrilled with how everything went for their wedding day and a huge part of that was the excellent service provided at the club. Hopefully I'll be back there playing again soon!

Wow - what an amazing experience working with the staff and crew at Lake Valhalla, especially during a pandemic. The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the business/operations manager Kristine Howar made the entire process so easy and personable. Absolutely no drama or hiccups on our actual wedding day, and our guests still can't stop talking about attending the \"best party ever.\" Huge shout-out to the awesome bartenders who were able to keep-up with our rather rambunctious group. And working with the Maitre' D Claudio was an absolute pleasure - he truly made me feel like the luckiest bride. We can't wait to go back to Lake Valhalla to celebrate all future anniversaries.

The venue is absolutely beautiful, and the business/operations manager Kristine Howar made the entire process so easy and personable. Absolutely no drama or hiccups on our actual wedding day, and our guests still can't stop talking about attending the \"best party ever.\" Huge shout-out to the awesome bartenders who were able to keep-up with our rather rambunctious group. And working with the Maitre' D Claudio was an absolute pleasure - he truly made me feel like the luckiest bride. We can't wait to go back to Lake Valhalla to celebrate all future anniversaries.

My husband and I would wholeheartedly recommend Lake Valhalla to anyone looking for a gorgeous combination of indoors and outdoors. The scenic lake makes for a perfect backdrop to the ceremony, and the rustic indoors give a nice cozy, elegant feel. We loved this place when we saw it, and were super excited to have our wedding there.Unfortunately, Covid-19 intervened and because dining is not open in NJ, we cannot have our wedding there. But this experience showed the other part that makes Lake Valhalla so great -- their customer care. Kristine was responsive, helpful, and amazing every step of the way. Our tasting was great with the bartender helpfully offering us many signature cocktails that paired great with our yummy food. My husband and I would wholeheartedly recommend Lake Valhalla to anyone looking for a gorgeous combination of indoors and outdoors. The scenic lake makes for a perfect backdrop to the ceremony, and the rustic indoors give a nice cozy, elegant feel. We loved this place when we saw it, and were super excited to have our wedding there.Unfortunately, Covid-19 intervened and because dining is not open in NJ, we cannot have our wedding there. But this experience showed the other part that makes Lake Valhalla so great -- their customer care. Kristine was responsive, helpful, and amazing every step of the way. Our tasting was great with the bartender helpfully offering us many signature cocktails that paired great with our yummy food. We got married at LVH almost one year ago and I canât believe it has taken me so long to write this review. We had the BEST WEDDING at LVH and you should look no further.Planning: The planning and communication throughout the entire process was perfect. Kristine and Claudio were amazing and made sure we were comfortable with all the details for our big day. They allowed us to come to the venue as often as we wanted, to see how the wedding came together for both indoor and outdoor options. We had the most AMAZING food tasting! The team also came out with sooo many versions of our signature drink options to make sure it was just perfect. Claudio was amazing the day of the event! It was a bit disappointing that it rained, but the entire LVC turned the venue around in TEN MINUTES as we had to move the wedding inside 20 min before I walked down the aisle. They did not disappoint and it looked so beautiful decorated with candles and greenery everywhere. They also were sooo accommodating of the guests who were greeted with drinks, Champaign and coffee in the tent as they waited which was a saving grace for us as we ran 30 minutes late with our officiant arriving late. They made sure the guests were entertained and having fun and nobody even realized we ran late! The venue is just beautiful. We choose it because we wanted a ârusticâ venue on the lake. The best part is that even in the rain, you can enjoy the most beautiful view of the lake and grounds all evening. We did our Rehearsal BBQ here too the night before. We had a blast! We hung out in the tent, played on the grounds, had sâmores, and we were so excited to spend the whole weekend there. The crew even came out with more signature drink options at the BBQ to triple confirm they were perfect. We were having such a great time that we decided to extend the wedding a half hour because of our late start and for a small fee, Claudio ensured we had the staff available to keep the party going. Overall, I had ZERO complains about our big day and months leading up to it. We came from CT to get married here and wish I could do it all again. The food is amazing, the view is great, and the price is also great for everything you get! We love LVC!!!

This venue is truly a gem!! If you want a beautiful outdoor setting for your wedding, look no further. My husband and I were over the moon after our wedding this June. The staff are very professional and caring. Khristine did an incredible job helping with all the fine details leading up to the day of. We ate at the club a few times before the big day to make our menu choices and always left well fed and impressed. Claudio (day of maitre d) did an OUTSTANDING job. He got both our flower girls to walk down the isle, no problem and just knows exactly what to do. On our big day, we had a literal monsoon about 30 minutes before our outdoor ceremony. Both Claudio and Kristine have been extremely attentive to our questions and concerns, and were always quick to respond to our emails. I got married here in the beginning of June and could not have asked for a more perfect wedding venue. When my husband and I had chosen this venue over a year ago, we had taken a leap of faith, as we had never heard of this venue or met anyone who had gotten married here. Now that it is over, we wish we could re-live that day over and over again. This venue is absolutely beautiful the grounds are huge and there are a lot of fun places to explore, and the banquet hall itself is intimate and cozy. Even though we had 220 guests, we still sat very comfortably. Though I wasn't that impressed with the food at the tasting, the food on the wedding day itself was PHENOMENAL. We chose to add on a few extras -- raw bar, sushi, brisket, and mac and cheese bar, and those were the things our guests raved about. For the entrees, the chicken was moist and tender, the steak was well seasoned and not overcooked. We received so many compliments for our wedding, and many people even told us this was the best wedding they had ever been to!What the guests did NOT experience, but as a bride, was what I appreciated most about this place was the service. Throughout the planning process, I emailed Kristine MANY, MANY times, and also asked to come in frequently to help with the planning process. She was always helpful and gave us no problems. Claudio, the maitre d' was AMAZING in helping to set up the wedding on the day of, and made the place even more beautiful than I had envisioned it. Him and his team went above and beyond and made sure that the day flowed smoothly so I didn't have to worry about a thing. LVC is extremely accommodating and flexible, and they were allowed us to add special touches to our wedding (eg: bringing in a private vendor for a special course they couldn't provide, allowing us to use open-flamed taper candles, etc), that some of my friends were not allowed to have at their own wedding. I genuinely enjoyed planning my wedding with the staff at LVC.The only complaint that I had about this venue is that during cocktail hour, some of the club members were still on the grounds because it was a really nice day. However, by 6PM, they had all evacuated, the entire grounds were ours, and our guests had a blast taking phenomenal pictures by the lake all evening. This is the only, only, only negative thing that I can think about from my entire experience with LVC, and the rest of the night was so beautiful and perfect that I had forgotten all about this soon after. If I had to redo my wedding, I wouldn't change a thing, and I would 100% recommend this venue to anyone!

We got married in September and had absolutely gorgeous weather. The lawn with the pergola is a the perfect ceremony space. Cocktail hour is spread through out the bar area, rented area and outside patio giving the guests the freedom to roam and have fun. The reception hall is beautiful and the stage was perfect for our band. The food was amazing and the tasting was a great experience . Nothing tastes like âwedding foodâ it was all perfect! My husband and I finally made the call to have it inside, and the staff was amazing again. We ended up having cocktail hour first, and then the ceremony in the ballroom, but it was still picture perfect. My guests didn't have a negative thing to say about anything. The venue was gorgeous, Claudio and his team do anything to make the bride and groom happy, and guests were saying that the bartenders remembered their drinks before they even had time to order. It wasn't at all how we hoped it would go, Claudio made it even better than we could ever imagine! I cannot thank him and his amazing team enough for the work that they did for us on our wedding day.

We just had the best wedding ever thanks to Lake Valhalla club and their amazing staff. As soon as I walked into the venue I knew my husband and I had to get married there. It is the perfect mix of natural beauty, rustic charm, intimacy and elegance... and lakeside ceremony is so tranquil!!!... Also, Guests are able to roam around the property, hang out at the lake, near a bonfire or inside ... nothing beats that freedom!! Not only was the environment perfect, but the staff was very attentive, especially Claudio (our matre D) who was there to help us solve any problem we had on our big day... for example, one of the boutonnieres for bridal party was missing, and Claudio went into the garden and made one for us!! Last but not least, the food was excellent! Our guests wouldnât stop raving about it. By the end of the reception, everyone kept coming up to me telling me it was best wedding theyâve ever attended... we felt the same way although I know our opinion is biased lol... We just had the best wedding ever thanks to Lake Valhalla club and their amazing staff. As soon as I walked into the venue I knew my husband and I had to get married there. It is the perfect mix of natural beauty, rustic charm, intimacy and elegance... and lakeside ceremony is so tranquil!!!... Also, Guests are able to roam around the property, hang out at the lake, near a bonfire or inside ... nothing beats that freedom!! Not only was the environment perfect, but the staff was very attentive, especially Claudio (our matre D) who was there to help us solve any problem we had on our big day... for example, one of the boutonnieres for bridal party was missing, and Claudio went into the garden and made one for us!! Last but not least, the food was excellent! Our guests wouldnât stop raving about it. By the end of the reception, everyone kept coming up to me telling me it was best wedding theyâve ever attended... we felt the same way although I know our opinion is biased lol... I would definitely do it all over again!! - Please note that if you plan on having a band, the ideal amount of people would be 150. Where do I begin! Besides all the guests at the wedding being blown away by how amazing Katrina & Claudio were, by Husband and I were beyond relieved to have such sweet & attentive matre deâs by our side.Katrina is such a sweet heart and was very quick to answer all my emails and accommodate with basically everything. I am an organization freak and appreciated that she was just as organized which really made the whole months leading up to the wedding and the wedding go incredibly smooth. The venue itself is perfect in every way possible. The view, the atmosphere, the staff, the price, the food etc. We have no complaints about anything!! Claudio was absolutely wonderful because he didnât mind taking charge and making sure everyone and everything was in its place. By the time the day of the wedding came I couldnât make any more decisions or answer any more questions and thank god we were blessed with Katrina & Claudio to take all of the pressure and decisions off our shoulders. Katrina updated me every step of the way and even called my florist for me when there was an issue the day of the wedding! Claudio chased everyone around and even made me eat so I wouldnât feel sick! They make a perfect team and are definitely people you want to work with while planning and running your wedding. Everything about our wedding and interaction with everyone at Lake Valhalla was magical and it made for such a memorable wedding!!

The minute I walked into Lake Valhalla I knew it was out venue. It is not your typical cookie cutter wedding hall, the space has character. The main ballroom isn't just your generic wedding factory which is what sold me. Not to mention the view on the lake is beautiful for the ceremony.\r\rWe are still getting compliments from our guest about how awesome the food was and the variety which was served. We had an hour and half cocktail hour, instead of the standard hour many other venues offer. Which turned out perfect. The day of the wedding the weather was spectacular and everyone hung outside by the lake in adirondack chairs enjoying the food, drinks and atmosphere. There is seating and tables for inside during the cocktail hour, but who would want to be stuffed inside on a beautiful day when you have the gorgeous lake and mountains as a back drop?\r\rOnce we did go inside for the reception the ballroom was more amazing actually set up for the wedding than when I went to visit, with vaulted ceilings and a rustic feeling it was everything I pictured and more. The low lighting and lit fireplaces set such a romantic atmosphere. \r\rI could not have been happier! Claudio and Lisa (Maitre-de and manager) really went above and beyond to make sure our day was prefect and one we would never forget for all the right reasons!

The Lake Valhalla Club provided a magical atmosphere that went beyond what we ever imagined. Everything, from the day we looked at the venue through to their responsiveness after the wedding was concluded, was five star. The atmosphere, service, food and professionalism was all perfect. The prices were very reasonable and you never felt as if anyone was trying to take advantage of you. Lisa Redfern was the manager that I dealt with for the planning and then the day of, both Lisa and Claudio were in charge. Throughout the entire planning portion, Lisa was always available. She returned phone calls and e-mails immediately. She could not do enough for you. They were willing to do whatever we asked for, even up to changes the week of when I made changes to the cocktail hour. They were open to doing the rehearsal whenever we wanted and could not have been more helpful while we were taking photos before the wedding began. Lisa and Claudio were everywhere! During the cocktail hour, the food was varied and plentiful. There were many stations, an abundance of passed items and everything was delicious. The dinner choices were fantastic and people could not believe how well the food came out. The dishes were all hot and cooked perfectly, quite a feat when you're serving 200 people at one time. During the evening, they could not do enough for us. Many guests even commented on how attentive both Lisa and Claudio were. I would recommend the Lake Valhalla Club to anyone who is looking for a beautiful, romantic setting with the best service possible.

What an amazing place! We first saw the Lake Valhalla Club in January, and even in the dead of winter when the club was closed it was beautiful. It was even more beautiful on our wedding day! Perry, the prior maitre d', left without much warning (we actually learned about his leaving from our DJs!), but Lisa Redfern, the business manager, was quick to step in and was exceptionally helpful. She worked closely with us to get the details just right, and was so nice to work with. The new maitre d' Claudio is fantastic, we felt so well taken care of throughout the night. And the food was incredible! People are still talking about the cocktail hour almost a month later, it was that good! The venue feels so intimate and it is situated in such a beautiful spot. It is so different from so many of the fancy wedding halls in New Jersey. We were told by several people that our wedding was one of the best they have ever been to, and it is definitely because of the Lake Valhalla Club. If you are considering having your wedding there, I would wholeheartedly recommend it, it's perfect!

Our wedding day on 5/4 couldn't have been better. Many thanks to LVC - especially Lisa Redfern, Dan and Claudio. They went through a transition with maitre d's a few months ago and we expressed our concerns - prior maitre d was not responding to emails and if he was, it was with 1 word. \r\rLisa was very attentive and responded to all of our questions and concerns instantly via email. Everything went very smoothly that day. The food was amazing - cocktail hour and dinner. Drinks were great. Claudio asked what I'd like to drink that night (white wine) and I didn't even go up to the bar once! I was busy dancing and talking to everyone to even worry about it. \r\rSo many people raved about the cocktail hour food (you get so much!) - especially the sliced steak and baked brie. My husband and I highly recommend this venue for your wedding! It's absolutely beautiful and unlike any other venue in the northern NJ area - decor wise and price wise from what we researched. Thanks LVC!!! It would be super awesome to attend another wedding there some day!

Everything about the Lake Valhalla Club was superb. We had visited Valhalla in summer 2012 and decided it was perfect. We originally booked our wedding for October 2014 and signed a contract, but plans changed and we decided to move the wedding up a year to fall 2013. The club manager, Perry, helped us find a new date in November 2013 and simply updated our contract without any fees. When it became clear a few weeks before our wedding that we wouldn't be quite making our minimum head count, Perry worked with us again to reduce the amount we would be paying. The morning of the wedding, Perry and I were in constant contact to make a final decision on if our ceremony would be held indoors or outdoors (and with Perry's guidance, we decided 3 hours before on an indoor ceremony which saved everyone from being blown away and frozen).\r\rThe venue itself was beautiful. It was difficult to find a venue in NJ that wasn't a typical wedding catering hall, but Lake Valhalla Club was a breath of fresh air. It has a lodge feel without being overtly rustic. The heated tent that enclosed the patio allowed our guests to be outside without freezing, and created an additional space for cocktail hour. The lake was a spectacular back drop for photos before and after the ceremony. \r\rThe food was delicious, as well as abundant. There was no one left wanting, even our family/friends who had allergies or kept kosher.\r\rPerry and everyone at the Lake Valhalla Club did an amazing job. I would give them more stars if I could.

We could not have been happier with how our wedding at Lake Valhalla turned out. Here is a brief summary of the pros and (few) cons: \rPROS: \rThis is not a cookie-cutter banquet hall. It's like a summer camp for adults (think Kellerman's, from \"Dirty Dancing\") and the lake is a gorgeous backdrop for an outdoor ceremony. \rPerry & staff were very responsive to my MANY emails and questions, and were very flexible when it came to changing details, throwing in extra perks \rThe value was incredible compared to similar venues. They include everything you would want: top-shelf liquor, a viennese table, the wedding cake, an amazing quantity of food... we got some other stuff thrown in during the negotiation process too. \rService fee and tax is INCLUDED in the per-person cost. This is huge. In NYC and NJ area venues the service fee and tax can range from 18%-30% on top of the price you are quoted, and that's also before you tip anyone! At Lake Valhalla, you only tip Perry, the maitre d', and it's 10%. \rThey're flexible about the end time of your event... if everyone's still partying strong and it's the stated end time of your event, they won't shut off the lights and kick you out. \rThey have a great list of \"preferred\" vendors, which we utilized (hotel, florist, DJ). \rCONS: \rA couple of relatively small details were not executed properly (we've narrowed it down to one member of the staff that appears to be responsible), but they were minor and after speaking with Perry we got them fixed. \rThere will still be members of the club there during your event, because they don't kick the members out. They do ask them to stay out of the way during the photos and ceremony, but there's a risk that a few club members will be at the bar at the far end of the space (not the one in the main dining hall). \rOverall it was an amazing space and they were wonderful to work with.

If you are looking for something a little different - not your typical \"banquet hall\" with beautiful, natural scenery - then this is definitely the place for you. We couldn't have been happier with every aspect of our experience. The staff and the food were amazing, and the price was very reasonable for what we got (tons and tons of delicious food, and top shelf liquor in the open bar). Perry, the manager, worked with me throughout the whole planning process and always made me feel at ease. They also have a bunch of unique extras you can add onto your package for a little extra cost. I would highly recommend this venue to anyone! (Just a note, contrary to what this site says, there IS an outdoor ceremony and reception area depending on the season.)

If you are looking for something a little different - not your typical \"banquet hall\" with beautiful, natural scenery - then this is definitely the place for you. We couldn't have been happier with every aspect of our experience. The staff and the food were amazing, and the price was very reasonable for what we got (tons and tons of delicious food, and top shelf liquor in the open bar). The Lake Valhalla club is the hidden gem of wedding venues in NJ. They do not even have bridal shows which made it all the more appealing to us. My fiance and I did not want a typical banquet hall. We wanted something warm, rustic,romantic and food was very important to us. I came home from Lake Valhalla and immediately after meeting with Perry, knew this is where we needed to have our wedding. Every step of the process was easy, well planned and the evening went off perfectly. We had a wedding before ours so I was a bit nervous about setup and times,etc. When we arrived to take pictures it looked better than I could have imagined. We were even able to take the boat out for some great pictures. The staff was friendly, smiling and looked as though they wanted to be there, unlike some other venues we had seen. The drinks were great and we had a signature drink. The food was AMAZING. It's not \"wedding\" food it's seriously the best Filet I have ever had. And cocktail hour was the biggest surprise. It looks like a lot in writing on the brochure but to see and taste it all in person was incredible. The Lake Valhalla Club helped to make my wedding day the best day of my life and I will never forget how happy I was to have chosen this venue. I wish I could give it more than 5 stars!!

My husband and I were married at the Lake Valhalla Club in October, 2012. As soon as we went to see the venue we fell in love with it's natural beauty! The Club is located lakeside, surrounded by mountains which was gorgeous in the fall with the changing leaves. The food was excellent - our guests were raving about their meals and said the cocktail hour was the best they had ever been too. The reception room is very simple and cozy and made all of our guests feel at home. Our guest said they were impressed that there were so many places to hang out during the wedding there were two full bars, one half bar, a cocktail room, an outside patio, lake side seating and a fire pit by the lake. Our guests were also very impressed by the service; our bartenders and servers were responsive, personable and a lot of fun! We had the servers on the dance floor with us! Perry and his wife were very helpful through the entire event. The talked to us about how we wanted the evening to go and did everything they could to make it run very smoothly. This venue is an amazing background for pictures and everyone is still talking about how beautiful and fun the wedding was. We could not be happier with our choice to have our wedding at the Lake Valhalla Club :)

My fiance and I were looking for a NJ reception site that would feel cozy and rustic and not 'big huge cheesy wedding hall'-ish. THIS is the spot!! When we saw it we were excited, but didn't realize until the big day just how amazing it would actually be. With the big stone fireplaces, the lake, the fire pit outside, candlelight and just all around perfect lighting, this was even more than we could have asked for. Perry, though sometimes slow to respond to emails, is fantastic and took care of everything perfectly. I would absolutely recommend this! Not to mention all of our guests commented on how different and awesome this place is for a wedding!!!

I cannot say enough great things about Lake Valhalla Club! There's not a single thing we would change about our wedding experience there and our guests felt the same way. So many people have made a point to tell us that ours was one of the best weddings they have ever been to and to specifically comment on what a fantastic job our venue did. The outdoor setting is beautiful and the interior is lovely, with none of that wedding factory feel. As for food, we had just about every request you can think of; nut-free, gluten-free, vegan, meat lovers. Every request we made was no problem and all of our guests (from vegans to steak-only eaters) raved about the food! When we chose Lake Valhalla Club we knew we were getting a lovely setting and a fantastic rate. When the day came what we got was the wedding of our dreams, truly beyond our every expectation! A huge, huge thank you to Perry and everyone at Lake Valhalla Club!!

My husband and I knew we would get married at Lake Valhalla Club as soon as we saw it. The grounds are beautiful and the reception area is such a warm and inviting space. Our guests had an amazing time and really enjoyed themselves, as did I. I really couldn't have asked for a better wedding. My only complaint is that Perry the maitre d' was not the easiest person to work with. It was hard to get in touch with him most of the time, among other things. All in all though, fantastic wedding venue.\r

From the moment we walked into the ballroom, I knew that I had to get married at Lake Valhalla. After speaking with Perry, the maitre d', my feelings were confirmed. For the entire year and a half of my engagement, Perry and his staff were so helpful and accommodating (even when I asked them to measure the heights of the cups and glasses for me!). Whenever I had a question, I would just shoot them an email and would have a response within 24 hours (usually sooner!)\r\rI created a TON of DIY projects for the wedding and was definitely anxious that it wouldn't turn out right because I had a certain idea in my mind that they couldn't see. When I walked into the venue before everything began, I was shocked. Everything was exactly as I had dreamed it would be, and even better. They took such special care of every detail to make it standout and become something special.\r\rOn top of my amazing experience, people could not stop raving about the amazing views, the intimate feel of the location, and the outstanding food and service!\r\rI know people have also made comments about the fact that the club stays open during weddings, but that wasn't an issue at all. About half an hour before the ceremony began, the club was empty and stayed that way all night. \r\rOverall, our experience with Lake Valhalla Club was beyond amazing. They made our day so special and so wonderful! It was absolutely perfect, and they were a huge part of that perfection.

If you are looking for a venue with an outdoor view, consider Lake Valhalla Club. We recently had our wedding reception there and couldn't have asked for anything more. The setting was perfect for a fall wedding (lakeside, main room has 2 large fireplaces, lots of windows looking out towards the lake, lots of photo opportunities right there by the lake) and the service was phenomenal (we got a countless number of compliments on how good the food was and how much food there was). They are more than accommodating there and were so easy to work with. The value was the best we had found out of all the reception sites we looked at (looked at around 12 in the north jersey area). It literally includes everything you want for an affordable price and also includes tax and service which many sites charge extra for. Definitely worth looking at if you are looking for a beautiful outdoor setting.

The Lake Valhalla Club was perfect for my husband and I. We lucked out with the weather and had a beautiful outdoor ceremony right there on the lake. One complaint was that they have a playground off to the right of the ceremony site along with volleyball courts. When I arrived to take pictures before the ceremony there were two volleyball games going on and kids yelling and playing on the playground. I was a little nervous they would interrrupt the ceremony, but when the ceremony time came I didn't hear a thing from the kids or volleyball players. Everything ran smoothly and on time. I can't say enough about the staff. They were so attentive to us. There were times I had two drinks in my hands because they kept bringing stuff. There was one lady in particular and I feel so bad I can't remember her name, but she had bridal dress experience and helped with my bustle and continued to bring me food and drinks throughout the night. Also both of our parents said they were waited on hand and foot throughout the night. There was an abundance of food and drinks and it was a beautiful night. Perry is a nice guy and he definitely did extra for us without even blinking. My family liked a certain kind of beer and Perry just asked if we wanted bottles or keg and didn't charge us. My husband and I booked the venue way in advance and came in a few times to talk to Perry, sometimes I didn't feel he cared too much about our wedding, but that all changed when we came in the week before our wedding to do final details and he was on top of every single detail. A side note they do allow their members to use the main bar during your event. I really didn't care, but a word of advice only do a bathroom basket for the restroom in the reception area. My mom had that basket filled with good stuff and the members seemed to help themselves and the basket was empty before the end of the night. I would definitely recommend LVC because their staff is incredible and they make sure you have a fantastic night.

We stumbled upon the Lake Valhalla Club on one of our searches for a wedding venue. When we went to meet with Perry (the maitre d) we instantly fell in love. The club sits in front of a lake and is completely surrounded by trees. We were married outside in front of the lake, but, there was another option in case it rained - there was space inside. The view from the club is absolutely breath taking and Perry made everything start to finish incredibly easy and stress free. There are not enough words to express how thrilled we were with the Lake Valhalla Club and it's staff. The club made our wedding day what it was - amazing.

We hosted our wedding of 165 guests at the Lake Valhalla Club in September. It was the perfect location and our guests had an amazing time. The club manager is so great to work with: very calm and knows his staff and his facilities very well. He went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and delivered on everything that was promised. \rThe club is in a very easy location to get to from Route 287, but is such an unexpected find - it feels like you are in a rural town in Pennsylvania. We have the most amazing pictures around the lake. \rOur guests loved the cocktail reception outside on the lawn and under the tent. The bar out there was great to have. And the food was amazing! There is such a huge variety and so much to enjoy - we only got rave reviews from our guests.\rInside the chandeliers and fire places create the most charming ambiance, and the view of the lake is breathtaking. We especially liked having the DJ up on the balcony - it gave us more room to dance and spread the sound out through the building. No one had a \"bad table\" near the speakers. \rWe roasted marshmellows outside by the fire pit and gave out glow sticks to all of our guests on the dance floor. \rThe service was great too. All of the tables were well taken care of, and our personal server made sure my husband and I had everything we needed. We hosted our wedding of 165 guests at the Lake Valhalla Club in September. It was the perfect location and our guests had an amazing time. The club manager is so great to work with: very calm and knows his staff and his facilities very well. He went above and beyond to accommodate our requests and delivered on everything that was promised. \rThe club is in a very easy location to get to from Route 287, but is such an unexpected find - it feels like you are in a rural town in Pennsylvania. We have the most amazing pictures around the lake. \rOur guests loved the cocktail reception outside on the lawn and under the tent. The bar out there was great to have. And the food was amazing! There is such a huge variety and so much to enjoy - we only got rave reviews from our guests.\rInside the chandeliers and fire places create the most charming ambiance, and the view of the lake is breathtaking. We especially liked having the DJ up on the balcony - it gave us more room to dance and spread the sound out through the building. No one had a \"bad table\" near the speakers. \rWe roasted marshmellows outside by the fire pit and gave out glow sticks to all of our guests on the dance floor. \rThe service was great too. All of the tables were well taken care of, and our personal server made sure my husband and I had everything we needed. And with three full bars operating all night, no one was every waiting for a drink.\rI would definitely suggest taking a look at the Lake Valhalla Club for your wedding - it was perfect!

Besides this being a beautiful venue, both inside and out, the staff is fantastic! The food and drink are extremely plentiful, and are a GREAT value compared to many other venues. If you are looking for a venue that provides great indoor and outdoor space, with an experienced staff that will take care of all of the details so you can enjoy your day, and an abundance of food and drink for a great price, you have found it!!

Besides this being a beautiful venue, both inside and out, the staff is fantastic! The food and drink are extremely plentiful, and are a GREAT value compared to many other venues. Lake Valhalla Club in Montville, NJ is an amazing location. Perry at the Club is wonderful. The whole event came off without a hitch. I loved the place and would go back for another event. Well worth it.

I nearly cried with joy walking into our reception because it was just absolutely BEAUTIFUL. We got married on December 4th, 2010 so we had a Christmas themed wedding. They put up a 14 foot Christmas tree next to one of the fireplaces. They put up garland with twinkle lights all around the room. The only decorations that we brought in were candles (for the fireplace mantles) and the center pieces and they did the rest! It was BEYOND my expectations.\r\rEveryone RAVED about the cocktail food and dinner food. It was SO delicious and the mixed drinks were great too. Perry and the rest of his staff showed nothing but kindness and joy to me, my husband, and guests. I was brought food and drinks (without even asking!) because I had no time to get something to eat with all the mingling during the cocktail hour. \r\rI had a 4 month long engagement and Perry was SO easy and wonderful to work with during this crunch time.\r\rPerry was so organized and made the whole night flow so wonderfully. I had completely forgotten about cutting the cake when he brought it out at the perfect time. If it weren't for him, I would have accidentally left that part out of the wedding!\r\rPerry was so accommodating during the planning to make sure we liked everything he had to offer. A week or 2 before the wedding, I accidentally told him the wrong linen/napkin colors for the tables and I only realized it 3 days before the wedding. Perry was able to re-order and bring in the right color, no problem, and it was fantastic.\r\rEveryone raved about the venue. My family even used the family photos they got by the Christmas tree for all of their Christmas cards! The lake outside was the perfect photo opportunity for my husband and I to take our bride/groom and wedding party professional photos (from Elevate Photography-check them out)! It looked beautiful even in the winter.\r\rI can't recommend Lake Valhalla Club enough. They were fantastic. HIGHLY recommend.

I will be getting married @ LVC on 3/26/2011. Already, I can tell you that the atomsphere is absolutely perfect for a born and raised North Jersey girl....the lake, the fireplaces, the character..it has it all, and more! The \"gem\" of LVC is Perry. He has a laid back approach, very easy to work with, knowledgeable about what works, what doesn't, great with referrals, great with ideas! Perry will work WITH you for you to have the perfect day! I saw a smile on my fiancee's face you could have seen in Mars the day we left and booked!

I can't speak highly enough of Perry and the crew at Lake Valhalla Club. Our wedding day was amazing. Lake Valhalla was absolutly beautiful with stunning scenery and amazing food. Everyone raved about it after and I'm still getting compliments each time I speak with family. It was a night to remember!
