Lakeside Occasions isn't just any old barn wedding venue. We were one of the first in our region and have made steady strides since our first official season in 2014. Since then, we've gained invaluable hands-on experience in the barn weddings business and we might be biased, but believe our quality and customer service is second to none! So, you ask, "What do you have that the others don't?" *Well, first and foremost, our property is drop-dead gorgeous. We are set on a small, but beautiful lake in the heart of Northern Indiana's Amish Country and we have the most stunning landscaping/flowers spread throughout the grounds, especially in the summertime. And our sunsets are insane! *We have wide open spaces for your guests to wander while you take pictures in newlywed bliss. (And the photo opps are endless!) *Our indoor spaces are air conditioned/heated for your guests' comfort. *We have real restrooms - no port-a-pot trailers. *We have THE COOLEST changing areas for you & your wedding party to get ready; A 50s themed diner with a pool table and a jaw-dropping silo in our 1880s-restored dairy barn. *Our reception space (and sometimes backup ceremony space) is naturally beautiful, so there's not much decorating required. *We offer our own bar services with qualified, certified, responsible servers & very reasonable prices on alcohol - and who else has a GRAIN BIN BAR?? *We allow you to choose whomever you want for food (as long as they're licensed), photography, music, lighting, decor, cakes/cupcakes, and more. This is YOUR wedding and we want you to have it your way! But, we also have some great recommendations if you need them, and work with some of the best Wedding Pros in the biz. This was the venue my husband and I were looking for when we initially imagined our wedding day. The barn is beautiful, rustic, clean, air-conditioned, and taken care of. The land it is on is gorgeous and open. It was the perfect location for an August wedding. Kara was available to answer questions when needed. The price point was great if you're looking for a \"classy\" barn wedding. Make sure you give this venue a visit before making your final decision. We are so happy that we came across Lakeside. Our day could not have been any more perfect.

Such an amazing location! The barn is absolutely stunning year round. The Byers were wonderful to work with and everything flowed so smoothly. I would recommend this venue to any and everyone! You are truly getting a stunning venue for a great price!

The venue was beautiful and everything was set up just the way we asked. However, the owners were watching my guests like a hawk. Post-Wedding I heard various stories about several of my guests being scolded by the owners due to smoking in a supposedly non-smoking area however there were no signs anywhere designating where guests could NOT smoke. I understand their want/need to keep the property clean as well as fire hazards, but from what I understand from my guests they were not pleasant to deal with. Like I said, the wedding day was beautiful, however I don't appreciate my guests being yelled at. I think the situations could have been handled differently and with far more grace.

Our wedding at Lakeside was everything we dreamed of. I love how unique it was and would encourage any couple in the area to check it out. Janet and Darrell went out of their way to make us comfortable and fill any request or need that we asked for...They were such a great support system for us and made our day feel and be like no other!!! The barn inside was beautifully decorated with lights and a chandelier....just breathtaking. If you are contemplating a wedding in the near future....Call them FIRST!!

Kara Byers (Events Director) My background is in TV news, however, after we had our son in 2014, my husband and I decided to move to his hometown and I joined the family wedding venue business. I am having a blast working with the wonderful couples who have chosen our barn venue for the most important day of their lives. I truly enjoy helping you design the wedding of your dreams!
