Benjamin Parker(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-05-2022 We’re so happy we chose Lansdowne as the venue for our wedding. We planned for up to 200 guests and Lansdowne was able to accommodate with no problem. Our venue was the clubhouse ballroom and it was beautiful. Special thanks go to Laura Angelucci, our event coordinator, who was always quick to answer our questions, respond to our emails, and make everything run as smoothly and easily as possible. The food at Lansdowne was great, the scenery was beautiful, the staff were friendly and helpful, and all of our guests had a great time. Reviewed on 03-07-2022
Kelly Chang(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-11-2019 We used Lansdowne Resort and Spa for wedding accommodations and it was perfect! The team was super responsive and very helpful throughout the planning process and I couldn't recommend them enough. While we had some mishaps with our room block, the Lansdowne team did their best to assist us with the situation and provided us a few options that we could consider. Come the day of, we have no regrets on choosing this beautiful hotel for us and our wedding guests. The Lansdowne team even surprised us with some champagne and chocolate covered strawberries, which we were pleasantly surprised by upon returning to our room the night of our wedding. Everything came together great and I'd definitely recommend checking them out! Reviewed on 12-11-2019
Praveen Kumar(parent)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-07-2019 We had our daughter's wedding ceremony and reception at Lansdowne in July 2019. We found it to be an expensive place but value, particularly service and responsiveness, were average at best. At the first tasting, food samples were mediocre which made us seek a second tasting. At the reception, they forgot to serve salads on the tables and made a refund for their mistake later, after much back and forth. We were also surprised that the water service included with the ceremony meant just that. We were charged $93 (incl. service charge) per gallon for fresh lemonade/infused water. Our overall impression was that the service and responsiveness were generally impersonal, slow, and corporate-type. Not recommended for weddings. Reviewed on 21-08-2019
MARILYN PROCACCINI(parent)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-07-2019 We chose Lansdowne as our center point for all of our guest accommodations as well as our 75 person rehearsal dinner (that was like a mini-wedding). We experienced the best of everything that Lansdowne has to offer! We had an exceptional spa and golfing experience. We LOVED Coton and Rye and utilized the bar all three nights we were there including an incredible after party! We had 80 rooms and three suites and they were all exceptional. From the views, to housekeeping, to the front desk to the bellman and every single person we interacted with we had the best experience. The rehearsal dinner with a great bar and exceptional food was a highlight of the weekend. The service was outstanding and they cared for every need. Golf, the pro shop and the restaurant off the bar - just were terrific. The catering/banquet team accommodated every need we had and we figured out things when we made a few odd requests. We can't say enough positive things about our entire three day experience at Lansdowne, except we are sorry it is over! We will look forward to just experiencing the resort on weekends in the future because it just an exceptional place to be! We did not do our wedding here, but it was somewhere we were considering and everything else we did here made it a perfect wedding weekend! Thanks to the Lansdowne team for being exceptional in every facet of the resort. Take the spin class -we had a blast with 12 of us in the class! Reviewed on 03-08-2019

Lansdowne turned out to be the perfect choice for us for a few reasons. One, we had a lot of guests from out of town, so having a location with a hotel was really helpful, and there were plenty of less expensive options nearby for those who couldn't or didn't want to pay the $189 a night cost (which I think was higher than normal because it was a holiday weekend in July... we were told it was closer to $150 when we were thinking of having the wedding in August). The people who did the room block weren't always the most responsive, but overall, that experience was fine.\r\rTwo, the ceremony setting - the terrace - was incredible. It was a hot day, but it was absolutely beautiful and breezy, and the terrace was almost completely shaded by our 6pm ceremony, so while it wasn't as comfortable as it would have been if it was 70 degrees, it was actually quite nice. The flowers and mountain views were so nice as a backdrop that we only had minimal decor up there (you could do it... that just wasn't a priority for us).\r\rThe reception was in the Clubhouse ballroom, which was beautiful and not too \"ballroom-y\ Reviewed on 23-07-2013

We got married on the outdoor terrace, which was beautiful in its own right. Directly following the ceremony, while our guests enjoyed cocktail hour and we took pictures, our event staff brought us hors d'oeuvres and drinks, which I thought was very nice. Shannon Fowler(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-10-2012 My fiance and I were really looking for a location that did a lot-we weren't interested in managing tons of vendors and were looking for something that was also not crazy on the budget. Originally we were a bit uncertain at the sticker price per person, but in doing our research with other places in the area, all the added costs ended up being a ton more than Lansdowne! We were REALLY pleased with our experience. Lindsay was great to work with and while there were 4 weddings there the weekend of my wedding, they made me feel like I was the only bride in the world. Our ceremony was outside and it was beautiful! We had minimal decorations, but the view and greenery was all you really need. Reception was in the golf club house and it was really pretty. Many of our guests have commented that the food was the best wedding food they'd ever had and the portions were huge! We upgraded the bar and our guests loved that and all the food. I LOVED that during the cocktail hour, while we were taking pictures, we had our appetizers delivered to us as well as our own mini bar/bartender so that the bridal party didn't miss out too much! The staff (minus the bartender-see below) were SUPER friendly and helpful.\r\rOnly had a few minor issues: a few times in the year leading up to the wedding, my mom would provide updated credit card info and it didn't make it's way to the billing department so when it was time for the next payment, she'd get a call about it. I also heard from guests that our bartender wasn't very friendly, but my husband and I never really interacted with her, so I don't have much details from that. Lansdowne also provides 1st anniversary vouchers (which is awesome!) but it had the wrong name written down for my husband. All minor and wouldn't keep me from recommending others to Lansdowne. While the cost of Lansdowne may deter you, it is competitive considering all the outside vendors you'd need to find if you had a wedding elsewhere. The Lansdowne package includes everything except florist, photographers, and music (DJ/band/etc). My husband and I live in NYC, and with 95% of his guests coming form overseas, it was important for us to choose a place where our families could make themselves at home for a few days - and they did just that!\rOur families began arriving the Tuesday before our Saturday wedding, and immediately made themselves at home in the Stonewall Tavern, which, thanks to the Wiis, pool tables, and dart boards, was an excellent headquarters. You could always find someone in the Stonewall! Also crucial was the full breakfast buffet included in the daily room rate, which everyone enjoyed and used as another opportunity to come together.\rLansdowne's three golf courses were also a huge draw for both of our families, and my husband hosted a golf tournament on the Friday before the wedding for the men, while ladies enjoyed a tour at a local vineyard.\rLansdowne's facilites were overall wonderful - the common areas were beautiful and modern, Spa Minerale was a fantastic retreat, and family members of all ages spent a great deal of time in the aquatics centers. My only complaint would be that the guest rooms, while clean, comfortable and inviting at first glance, were missing modern upgrades that even common hotel chains feature. Lansdowne, you need flat screens!\rAs for service, I do not have one complaint to put forth regarding Lansdowne's staff. By the end of the week the staff at Stonewall knew every detail about our family! Our catering manager, Lyndsey Forseth, could surely plan a state dinner without breaking a sweat. She had an answer for every concern, big or small, and was so great in helping to finalize our menu, including suggesting the most amazing dessert I ever ate in my life (I wanted to hide under the table with it!) and promising me the bakers could deliver my dream cake - which they did, 5 layers of forest tree delight! When Lyndsey hosted our tasting, it was so remarkable I would have sworn there was no way it could be replicated for 160 guests, but every single guest commented how they'd never had better food at a wedding.\rWe felt so at home at Lansdowne for the duration of our stay. If my husband had not attended a work conference at the resort, we would have demanded our money back and found a different venue. Because of his previous experience, we were positive the day of the event would be amazing and stuck to it even though it was miserable at times. However, if I were to do it again, I would have probably asked for a different catering manager earlier on or just walked away.\r\rWe were sold on Lansdowne when we realized we would have the same manager throughout our whole event and even the day of the wedding. Unfortunately she quit two weeks before our wedding and we were handed off to a different manager, Leslie. Ironically if we had had Leslie for the whole planning process, we are confident it would have been a better experience.\r\rLeslie was great for the short time we had her as our manager. I would highly recommend asking for her if you plan on going to see the resort. She helped make our rehearsal dinner and wedding day amazing! Our pictures came out fantastic. The grounds are beautiful! \r\rWe got married on the Pavilion Terrace (not the Bridal Terrace) because it was already occupied, but I actually liked our location better. Our cocktail hour was on the ballroom terrace and our reception was in the ballroom because we were too big for the clubhouse. The staff was great! Everyone RAVED about the food!\r\rI would recommend Lansdowne Resort as a wedding venue. Just make sure you enjoy working with your manager and enjoy the experience. I unfortunately did not enjoy my planning process, but the day of our wedding went off without a hitch! Reviewed on 01-12-2010
Carol Phillips(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-10-2010 Lansdowne really was the best place for what we were looking for. It was the nicest place we saw, and they really think of everything to give you. Lindsey Forseth was amazing as a planner. Book Lansdowne and you will not be sorry. Reviewed on 11-11-2010
Leslie is one of our favorite wedding managers at Lansdowne Resort and Spa! Leslie's passion is getting to know each and every couple to understand their vision and bringing it to life on their wedding day! Her expertise ranges from planning wedding ceremonies and receptions to social events such as rehearsal dinners, bridal showers and more. Her favorite part about this unique location aside from creating magical weddings, is the convenience for the guests to have fun at the resort with golf, spa, pools, hiking and biking among many others or going to nearby wineries and breweries.
