The venue is beautiful and the entire staff was very welcoming, detail-oriented and a pleasure to work with from the first tour, tasting, planning, rehearsal and through the big day! We customized our menu to include some family favorites and we had a fabulous tasting with the Chef, who took our ideas and put special twists on them to make them wonderful! Our guests still rave about the fun food stations and how great everything tasted. We loved all of the beautiful, lush scenery for photos inside the club and around the outside. The Private Events Team, Culinary and Service Staff at Las Colinas are very professional, detailed, caring and creative. We were planning our wedding on a budget and this package helped us afford the gorgeous Las Colinas Country Cub facility. There were a few little hiccups that our personal wedding coordinator helped iron out, and everything came together for an absolutely perfect ceremony and reception! Jeane' did a brilliant job of running everything smoothly on our day. She communicated with us in the months leading up to our wedding, making all the details and options very clear. We didn't hire a day-of coordinator, but between Jeane' and our DJ, we stayed on track with our timeline. The food was great and the open soft bars were run well and strategically to encourage guests to stay near the action. When my father started to fuss about there not being liquor (we didn't pay for any) she provided a bottle of scotch. When we decided at the last second to move our wedding cake down from the stairwell to the dance floor for all to see the cutting, she had it moved and set up within 2 minutes. The staff was excellent and the atmosphere was wonderful. We have zero complaints, this was a great wedding reception venue and reasonably priced. No surprise bills at the end. Great job! Erin Burge was our coordinator and she made the process a breeze. She answered all my questions and hesitations right away and made me feel like I was her only client. The food was amazing and all of our guests loved it. We did a cocktail hour and a formal sit-down dinner and there weren't any issues. They were able to accommodate our musicians in the ballroom and we had an absolutely wonderful time! This is the way to go for a wedding- no need to worry about hiring a bartender, linens, etc. They take care of everything for you and I'd recommend the LCCC to any future brides! The Las Colinas Country club was by far the best value to be found in the area. The ballroom is elegant and would be a classy backdrop for any wedding theme. The view towards the lake and golf course is lovely, and our guests enjoyed being about to go out on the porches. Erin was very helpful with choosing food, setting up the floor plan, and even letting us come a little early to get ready. The food was delicious (you have to use their catering), and the staff was incredibly helpful and courteous throughout the whole process. The day-of event coordinator Shanda was super prompt in her responses and was very easy to contact whenever I had a question or concern. The club was very accommodating and was very all inclusive. The chef at the club did the wedding dinner and it was AMAZING. They were even able to make three special gluten free meals for my in laws! They also had a very helpful vendor list and they even throw mixers throughout the year so brides can meet with their preferred vendors! Everything ran so smoothly and I couldn't be more grateful. Annemarie Apligain is their private event coordinator and she knows how to make this very important day stress free and magical! Make sure you request her when you are planning! Not only is the view of downtown amazing, but the way the room is set up it is large but very intimate. We had a year to plan our wedding, Annemarie and other managers at the club met with us anytime we had a question or wanted to talk about our timeline, their responsiveness was very on point. We had numerous guests tell us that our plated dinner was the best meal they had ever had. I highly recommend this venue to anyone getting married, they know how to make it perfect! The last switch we were notified of just a few weeks before the wedding, so we had to re-hash everything (pricing, layout, etc.) and the coordinator that took over was the meeting events coordinator. Meetings do not equal weddings. We felt that the time table we provided, layout and details were very uncoordinated. We lost a good portion of our time for photographs due to lack of coordination. They also served us the wrong steak and it was served very rare. When some guests asked to have it cooked longer they were told no. I had very high hopes for this venue, but unfortunately I was very disappointed. It had all the resources to be a phenomenal day from start to finish, but again, we were very upset with the lack of coordination. I don't think it's always like that, as I had previously heard wonderful things, but I guess it's just luck of the draw and we drew the short straw. I'd make sure if you consider them that you are guaranteed a wedding coordinator through the ENTIRE process. Get everything in writing. Reviewed on 03-07-2012
