Laurel Ridge is a country club in Waynesville, NC that provides the ultimate backdrop for your wedding day. It is a picturesque, rustic and historic venue. Prior to the American Revolution, Edward Hyatt and his family came to settle down in Laurel Ridge. In the 1800’s, Hyatt’s great grandson, Jefferson D. Hyatt built the Piedmont Inn. The Inn quickly became a center of social gatherings and a vacationing spot for flatlanders. Today, the clubhouse occupies the mound upon which the Inn was, continuing the tradition of fun-filled family activities and delectable dining. The venue has found itself firmly entrenched in the history of southern hospitality. Laurel Ridge offers a multitude of outdoor and indoor spaces for the couple to choose from. Inside are spaces like the Grand Rustic Lodge and Amber’s Arbor that are so incredible that you and your guests will be left speechless. Incredible architecture, chandeliers, and breathtaking views make them stand out from the rest. With a capacity of up to 300 guests (between renting both the Pavilion and Grand Rustic Lodge), you can host a grand celebration. You can also exchange vows in the open air since the venue is licensed for civil ceremonies. Opportunities for photos are endless on their grounds since it is a venue nestled amidst nature. Post festivities, you and your guests can avail the spacious accommodations to relax. There is a dedicated in-house events and culinary team at Laurel Ridge Country Club who will combine their experience with your vision to create the wedding of your dreams. The culinary team can also customize a menu that suits your tastes and dietary needs. My husband , Tim, and I had absolutely wonderful wedding reception at the Laurel Ridge Country Club. Holly Smith, the Director of Catering and Events, helped us through the entire planning process. From catering menus to linen discussions, Holly always had a smile and a willingness to help make our day as special as possible. She and her assistant, Ariel, were kind, thoughtful, and professional each time we spoke or met with them. Our great experience at the Laurel Ridge Country Club is greatly due to Holly's facilitating and friendly professionalism. Ariel, whom we met towards the end of our planning, was warm and pleasant as well. Ariel helped ensure I had everything I needed in the bridal suite the day of my wedding, and my friends and family enjoyed the food and champagne we ordered. Venue: Tim and I loved the venue the moment we entered it. The stately large windows exhibited rolling green golf-course hills, and trees that were both calming and beautiful. The venue presented both a classy and rustic decor, with a large fireplace on one end of the main hall, and an exit to a patio area on the other. Although my husband and I chose the indoor venue, the outdoor venue contained a covered area with a large fireplace with nearby lighted trees at dusk. Our guests were welcome to this area as well.Food: Our tasting was a fun culinary experience, and Holly met with us to discuss our favorite options. We chose the parmesan crusted salmon and the sirloin steak, which our guests loved. Since there were two children present at the reception, the chefs made kid-friendly meals such as grilled cheese or chicken tenders with fries. Going the Extra Mile: We had our cake delivered for all the guests, but Tim and I needed a last minute frosting for our own gluten-free cake due to unexpected changes. Sarah, a staff member, helped frost a photo-worthy cake that was prettier than I imagined. Holly and Ariel also helped with a smile and a positive attitude throughout the reception evening. LRCC Inn: The Country Club has four associated rooms across from the main courtyard. Mandy was an excellent communicator and ensured that we had everything that we needed from a borrowed iron and ironing board to a cooler. Each inn room opened up to a connected outside porch with rocking chairs and a view of the country club. Guests will enjoy the closeness to the LRCC entrance and the relaxing atmosphere of the inn. The rooms were clean and inviting.Overall, the Laurel Ridge Country Club has our highest recommendation for a wedding venue as well as Holly Smith, the Events Coordinator. We look forward to visiting during our one-year anniversary!

My husband and I recently got married here. We are from Florida and Holly made the wedding planning experience so easy! I was so worried with how everything would come together and it truly came out amazing! The staff is so wonderful and personable. We had our ceremony at the Arbor and reception in the Piedmont room. The food was so delicious! We chose the chicken marsala with mashed potatoes and the parmesan crusted salmon. Everyone complimented the food and how amazing the venue was.It’s been almost a month since we got married at Laurel Ridge. We are still on cloud nine with how perfectly the day went. Our daughter was married in June 2023 at Laurel Ridge County Club. The venue’s mountain & golf course views are absolutely spectacular! Several different ceremony & reception sites are available to choose from. We chose an outdoor wedding by the arbor, just steps away from the indoor reception. The rustic, high, open ceilings with stone fireplace dining room was gorgeous with incredible views from all the windows. The food was delicious. The wait staff was very attentive and welcoming to all. We had the pleasure of working with Holly Smith, the event coordinator. She was so very helpful throughout the entire process. She always made the time to sit down with us and answered any questions we might have. She shared so many wonderful ideas that we incorporated to make the day so special. She maintained communication throughout the nine months of planning via phone calls & emails as well. Holly also shared a list of preferred vendors that helped make the planning process much easier. The entire day was flawless. We continue to receive compliments from guests saying it was one of the best weddings they have ever attended!

Laurel Ridge was everything we hoped for in a wedding venue! We had a winter wedding and were looking for a mountain lodge when searching for a venue. Laurel Ridge captured all of that with the huge stone fireplace, wooden floors, lodge chairs and not to mention the floor to ceiling windows with the mountain views! It was spectacular and perfect for our winter mountain wedding! Holly was fantastic, so helpful and genuinely cared about the details and making sure our day went smoothly! The meal was incredible, and the guests were simply \"wowed\" by the day. We cannot imagine having our special day anywhere else! Thank you, Laurel Ridge!

I can’t say enough about how great our experience was a LRCC. Holly helped guide us through the entire process, keeping us informed and assisting when needed with making decisions. All of the staff were so kind and helpful. The venue was beautiful and just what we envisioned. The space for the bride and bridesmaids was comfortable and spacious. . I didn't want to have a destination wedding so I didn't want to like it but the second I saw this venue, I was hooked. It is the most stunning place so I was expecting everything else to be subpar. NOPE The food was outstanding and the people there were so incredible. They don't treat you like just another bride, you feel like you are buds with them by the end of it. Everyone there was incredible. Holly was who I dealt with the most and she was the best to be around! She kept me calm and laughing all day and made sure me and my family had everything that we needed. I got so many compliments on how nice everyone was, how amazing the food was and how completely stunning the venue was. I could not have picked a better place for our wedding. It was my dream design/look and will recommend it to anyone who will listen. Going to miss hanging with the Laurel Ridge crew!!

Lauren Ridge is a gorgeous space and we were so pleased as we utilized all the spaces. Our guests had a splendid time! I highly recommend Lauren Ridge CC! Staff team was exceptional. We absolutely loved having Laurel Ridge as our venue! The view is stunning, the food was delicious, the staff was fantastic. Hollie and Tom were such a blessing for a our big day. The natural beauty of this place makes it a special gem. The boys were busy while the girls are getting ready and enjoying time together before the ceremony. Our guests loved getting to play golf, walking around to look at the sights, and enjoyed having an indoor and outdoor space for the night.

We absolutely loved having Laurel Ridge as our venue! The view is stunning, the food was delicious, the staff was fantastic. Hollie and Tom were such a blessing for a our big day. The natural beauty of this place makes it a special gem. The boys were busy while the girls are getting ready and enjoying time together before the ceremony. Our guests loved getting to play golf, walking around to look at the sights, and enjoyed having an indoor and outdoor space for the night.

The venue was absolutely gorgeous and the locations for photos are great! Would have given a 5 star review but the event planning was poor. They were very unorganized, didn't have a file on us until we kept pestering them on what we needed to do, had to go in person to get a hold of someone, lots of miscommunication, and bar staff during wedding was very unknowledgeable about drinks. Only advice is to have everything in writing and be specific! They like to be vague so they can manipulate words. We had to pay an extra $1,500 on our bar tab because they didn't write down what we wanted and was confused with another wedding. I was told a simply \"it is what it is.” And then was given the bill when I was sitting at the table DURING my wedding reception while I was trying to enjoy it.

Our plated dinner was hot and delicious and drinks never ran dry.We did postpone in 2020 and unfortunately cycled through 3 site coordinators after booking which made communication difficult. Lynne did her best to adapt for us as event coordinator, but truly shined as staff and site manager. She also has a huge decoration closet available!! All our vendors were welcomed with plenty of space and time for set-up. We were so happy to finally have our day and it was absolutely magical. Some of our guests were able to stay onsite, but the rest were able to find nearby lodging without any problems.

We had our summer wedding outside and had the reception in the pavilion and it made for wonderful pictures!! Highly recommend picking them for your dream wedding also!

Everything from the food to the decor to the staff was phenomenal! The venue is breathtaking on its own but the staff make it all the more special of a place for not only the bride and groom but for all the guests. Fast forward 12 months and Leshall had left, a new event coordinator was hired which was short lived. Danielle, the catering manager, and Shell, the GM, stepped in and when we say Laurel Ridge is lucky to have them we mean it with all our heart. Shell called us several times to see how things were going and if we needed his help. All in all an amazing experience with the entire Laurel Ridge staff!

My husband and I instantly fell in love with this venue, not to mention Leshall is amazing! She makes sure your day goes off without a hitch; we loved every moment of our special day. If you are looking for rustic mountain beauty, look no further than Laurel Ridge. There are several different spaces to choose from for reception, and our ceremony we chose inside I front of the floor to ceiling windows. There is a beautiful spot up the golf course to take pictures with the mountains in the background. I highly recommend this venue and everything they have to offer.

Laurel Ridge is absolutely gorgeous, both inside and outside. The lodge and outdoor pavilion were perfect for our reception because we wanted to eat dinner inside and have our DJ and dance floor outside. There's a second bar under the pavilion so our guests didn't have to go back inside to refill their drinks! This is a both a classic and rustic setting... we loved the wood beams, rock fireplaces, chandeliers, the food, and most of all the service. Leshall, the wedding coordinator, met with us multiple times to make sure she knew exactly what we wanted our reception to look like and she helped us create the atmosphere that we envisioned; the evening flowed perfectly because of her hard work! Our night at Laurel Ridge was perfect! Bonus: Location is everything! Laurel Ridge is the perfect location if you want mountain views, and is breathtaking in autumn when the leaves are changing. It is only 5 minutes from Main Street in Waynesville, but yet is secluded enough that you feel like it's a mountain getaway.

I cant thank them enough for making our wedding planning experience such a breeze. Everything from the food to the service was just above and beyond. Our guests are still calling us and bragging about how amzaing the venue was and all of the staff. We had our reception outside in their pavillion where they had huge timber logs and laurel everywhere. The staff was amazing, they made my day worry free and took care of everything. They never tried to make me do something i did not want to. It was beautiful, they let us use the club house for pictures with no extra cost. The food was great. It was the perfect outdoor setting with out the risk of weather ruining it all.

They never tried to make me do something i did not want to. It was beautiful, they let us use the club house for pictures with no extra cost. The food was great. It was the perfect outdoor setting with out the risk of weather ruining it all.
