Nestled in Ideal, SD, Lazy J Grand Lodge is a hotel and wedding venue. It is surrounded by beautiful prairie views, while inside is a welcoming retreat. The dedicated staff is there for you along the way to assist you in transforming the venue to fit your event’s theme. It makes for an unforgettable wedding full of memories to cherish for a lifetime. There is an inviting ambience in the Lazy J Grand Lodge that encourages people to come together. There are a number of rooms throughout that allow people to gather, such as the dining room which can seat 100. Bars upstairs and down are self-service, letting you and your family and friends unwind. Then you can enjoy a game of cards at one of the two poker tables. If you are just in the mood to talk, there are two lounge areas great for relaxing and mingling. At Lazy J Grand Lodge you can host your wedding inside or out with room for guest lists of over a hundred. We can also accommodate up to 42 guests. We have 20 double occupancy rooms and 2 king suite rooms. These rooms have linens and towels along with plush beds for a good night’s rest. There are also laundry services and wifi for your convenience. As a hunting lodge, the hotel also has a kennel service. The event spaces are suited for weddings as well as engagement parties, showers, and rehearsal dinners. Bar services for your event are provided as are options for desserts. For the convenience of you and your wedding party, there are dressing rooms available. The amiable staff would love to help you orchestrate the many details of your special day.

I have worked with the Jorgenson’s several times as a direct sales consultant in conjunction with bridal showers. The lodge is a beautiful, well cared for facility that is adaptable for every occasion. For the showers it was arranged to fit each group and their themes while providing a comfortable atmosphere for everyone to enjoy themselves.The warm hospitality you receive once you walk in the door and throughout your time there is refreshing. An easy going atmosphere along with “what can we do” attitude makes you want to be part of the lodge and come back again and again.

We had my bridal shower and bachelorette party at the Lazy J Grand Lodge and it was fantastic. Enough room for 40+ people with room for way more than that. The space and atmosphere was great for our event and we can't wait to use their new Bull Room for our wedding reception and the lodge room for all of our traveling family members. So far we will be able to accommodate 40+ family members. The staff is extremely helpful and very accomodating. Thank you so much for such an easy, positive, kind, and fun environment! We can't wait for our big day.

We hosted a bridal shower at the Lazy J Lodge, and it was the perfect venue for our event. There were lots of tables, chairs, and seating options available for all of our guests. Many amenities were provided for the shower, such as an ice machine, rolling tables, bar area, popcorn machine, coffee maker, etc. There was plenty of space for all of our guests, plus storage options to use as we needed for decor boxes, etc. The natural lighting in the Lodge is absolutely beautiful and perfect for photos. Highly recommend this venue for any occasion!

Lazy J Grand Lodge is a wonderful place to have a beautiful wedding event. There you will find very affordable hotel-like comfort in the guest rooms, and home-away-from home comfort in the lounge areas, spacious patio with fire pit, and full kitchen and large dining area. The new Bull Room was the perfect space for a beautiful relaxed reception and dance. The beauty of the outdoor landscape itself is pretty tough to beat. My guests were in awe of the beauty of the entire space. Sunsets on the prairie are stunning, and you won’t find a more perfect view of the sky at night. My wedding guests and family loved star gazing from the fire pit on the patio. In these times of physical distancing, there is ample space for gathering both indoors and outdoors. All of the facilities were impeccably clean, there was ample access to restrooms, and overall the atmosphere is very relaxing. The Jorgensen’s are a wonderful family to work with; they and their crew couldn’t have been more accommodating.

If you are looking for an amazing wedding venue, Lazy J Grand Lodge is the place to be! Lazy J Grand Lodge has the most beautiful lodge with extremely clean guest accommodations, relaxing atmosphere, full kitchen and endless outdoor beauty. My daughter's outdoor wedding was simply beautiful. Her reception in the new Bull Room was a dream. The Jorgensen's and Karrisa were always fast to answer any of my questions and very accommodating. We knew after our first look at Lazy J Grand Lodge, that this was the place for our daughter's dream wedding. All of our guests had a wonderful time and could not praise the venue enough. We made wonderful memories at the Lazy J Grand Lodge! Thank you to the Jorgensen's and staff for your kindness and amazing lodge!
