Naomi Bower(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-09-2018 Amazing location and amazing staff! Chris was so helpful during the wedding planning process, she answered all of my questions and gave me suggestions of what others brides had done in the past. I met with her 3 or 4 times during planning; go over what all is offered, look at decorations she had available to use (FREE), look at the venue again, and discuss the plan for the day; she was so helpful each time and was always so pleasant and friendly. The day of, Chris served as a coordinator. That was a huge help to me and the families. We did not have to worry once about any details that day, we were able to enjoy the moment. She received the cake and made sure the DJ was setting up in the right spot. Helped before the ceremony of making sure everyone was in the right spot and walked at the correct moment. During the ceremony there was a small hiccup (my families doing) and she took care of it right away and was a life savor! And the venue itself? Oh just amazing!!! The views were so gorgeous and I loved being able to have the ceremony and reception all at the same location. All of my guest commented on how amazing the location was, and never knew a spot so wonderful existed in the middle of the Flint Hills. Hand down, they were amazing all around and made the whole process so smooth. Reviewed on 29-10-2018
Brenna Harfert(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-08-2018 If i could give them 0 stars I would. ..I'm so irritated! I was looking for wedding venues near Manhattan and I'd heard that Lazy T was a pretty place to have a wedding.... after I called and left a message, sent 2 emails, and a Facebook message (which they replied to and said they would email me information, which I never got) I had to write them off... so irritating! It's been 2 weeks since I first contacted them, and a week after they said on Facebook they would email me, and still nothing. I'm aware that is a small farm, but this put a really bad taste in my mouth. No decency to send anything back, but a message saying they would do something that they still never did! Don't plan on having a wedding at this place! You won't ever get any information from them! Reviewed on 18-06-2017
Sarah Swicegood(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-04-2018 Since the middle of March I have emailed two times and also called and spoke with a woman three times to get information about the venue. I have not received any email with information regarding having a reception there. Very disappointed. Reviewed on 22-05-2017
Marissa Moddelmog(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-10-2016 We had our wedding here and it was absolutely perfect. We had our wedding on the West hill and the view was amazing. We had our reception in the shed and that was beautiful as well. Chris definitely went out of her way to make our day perfect! I would recommend this venue to anyone and everyone! Amber Field(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-10-2017 The only thing about Lazy T is that you can't reach them through the knot.com, so you have to go to their website. Even though I had sent a message through the knot, Chris was still notified and tries to get in touch with me. We haven't been married there yet but it has been an absolute delight working with Chris and Ron so far! They are very willing to help and make your day special, every time I speak with Chris she is extremely friendly and super informative! Great people and great place!! Reviewed on 19-07-2016

Kari Stephens(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-04-2014 I had my wedding ceremony and reception at Lazy T Ranch in April of 2014. If given the choice, I would have my wedding there again. The meadow where we had our ceremony is absolutely stunning and the barn for the reception was extremely convenient, if nothing else. I worked with Chris Wilson throughout the planning process, and although she is a very busy person, she was fantastic about always answering her phone any time I called. The price is very reasonable and both Ron and Chris are good about accommodating requests. And you can bring in your own vendors – a huge plus.\r\rThat being said, if you are thinking about using Lazy T Ranch as your wedding venue, there are some things you should know so you can be more prepared than I was. \r\rFirst, the B&B (a cute old farmhouse located on the ranch) is convenient and my bridesmaids got ready there the morning of the wedding and they planned to stay there overnight. However, the kitchen was a mess, there were wasps inside the house, and there was cat hair on the beds, floor, and furniture. The cat hair was only an issue because one of my bridesmaids is terribly allergic to cats, and her throat swelled to the point that she couldn’t breathe. All of my bridesmaids chose to book hotel rooms instead, which was an unexpected expense. \r\rSecond, we had to provide our own ice (and coolers to keep it in) after being told (in print) that ice would be provided. We found out the day before the wedding that Ron and Chris would not be providing the ice, so this gave us time to run and get some the morning of the wedding to fill the ice chest. However, after arriving with the ice, the “ice chest” was actually just an insulated box with no lid. So all 500 lbs of ice we purchased melted long before the wedding. My dad was left scrambling to purchase more ice and coolers to keep it in right before the wedding started. \r\rThird, if you are planning on having a dance you (or your DJ if you hire one) will want to bring in your own speakers. I made my own playlists to save some money and the single speaker they have is not nearly loud enough when the barn is full of people (we had 250 guests). When our dinner started, we realized we couldn’t hear any music or announcements. My husband sent his friends to get 2 large speakers from their old fraternity, so luckily we still had a dance, but it wouldn’t have happened without them. Also, if you are not hiring a DJ, make sure you have two devices to play your music on. The wiring in the barn was not done properly, so it cannot handle having a computer or ipod charging and hooked up to the sound system at the same time. It causes loud reverb noise. We solved this problem by charging one device while the other was playing music and then switching them out when the battery ran low. If you ARE hiring a DJ, I would be sure they make a trip to the ranch well in advance of the wedding to test everything (the wiring, etc.) with their equipment to make sure it works.\r\rAnd last, make sure you have PLENTY of extra help from friends/family members on the morning (or day before) your wedding to help set everything up. We had 20 relatives at the ranch that morning cleaning tables, mopping the floor, setting up tables and chairs, etc. (all things that we were told would be taken care of). We never would have been ready in time without them.\r\rAs long as you are prepared, Lazy T Ranch can be a fantastic and affordable wedding venue. Reviewed on 08-05-2014
