I cannot say enough wonderful things about Legend Oaks and how perfect my wedding was because of them. Theresia takes care of almost everything for the wedding: catering, rentals, and so much more. She was beyond helpful leading up to the big day and especially on the big day. I was able to give them decorations and ideas and then they took care of everything. Being able to relax and get ready was one of the biggest blessings I could have asked for. Also Laurie was such a sweetheart making sure all of the bridal party’s needs were met. I would 10000% recommend having your wedding here and I could not be happier about our wedding.

I cannot say enough good things about our magical day. The venue was so perfect in so many ways. From the mossy oaks to the beautiful clubhouse to the perfectly manicured greens...we could not have picked a better venue for our day. There's just something magical about marrying the love of your life under that grand tree. The staff is outstanding. They worked tirelessly all day to ensure every detail was in order. The wedding coordinator, Theresia, clearly has the experience, the eye, and the dedication to her job to make things just perfect. She worked so hard to deliver, and we could not say one bad thing about how things went. The food was outstanding...we are still receiving compliments weeks later about how good it was...all at a price that we could afford. If you are considering this venue, DO IT. You will not regret it for one second.

My wife and I were very happy with Legend Oaks. We didn’t have a lot of time and Theresia Ware was so helpful. She took time and explained everything and helped us to accomplish what we were looking for with our budget. Theresia and her team took care of everything which really took the stress off of us. I loved the golf course and we received a special rate for the grooms outing because we had the wedding there. We were very happy with the food and the staff made us feel at home. My wife and I were very happy with Legend Oaks. We didn’t have a lot of time and Theresia Ware was so helpful. Our wedding was seamless. My wife was treated like a queen the day of our Wedding! Theresia the planner made the entire process enjoyable for both of us! The venue has the grande oaks that we wanted in our photos! The food was wonderful! We were very happy with our selection and it was affordable!

From the moment that my daughter and I stepped into Legend Oaks to inquire about their services for my daughter’s wedding, it felt like family. Everyone remained so poised and professional as we laid out our rather lofty plans for a rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception for over 100 attendees not to include the bridal party. This may seem like an everyday occurrence in this industry, however our timeline was 5 weeks. Not a flinch from anyone as we described our somewhat unusual rehearsal menu and extravagant reception menu. Theresia simply smiled at us and said, “not a problem”, and proceeded to discuss linens and flowers. We felt so at ease with everyone throughout the following weeks as the staff touched base with us regularly to see if we needed any help.My daughter and I sat at the clubhouse for breakfast just days prior to her wedding and watched all the linens, centerpieces, and flowers arrive. People bustling everywhere with specific missions to complete. Alexandra spoke of how special they made her feel, as if watching all of her youthful dreams of a wedding coming true. I will never forget her face when she saw the end product for the first time and how it took her breath away, tearfully whispering, “it’s perfect mom”. The staff was amazing as the bridal party readied themselves for the wedding, showering them with fruit, cheese, beverages, and any other assistance needed.The ceremony was organized flawlessly, even with Mother Nature’s cruel humor. Not one guest noticed the changes being made behind the scenes and not one drop of rain touched a single person as Theresia was prepared with umbrellas and staff to escort us. The food was impeccable and could have shamed any of the upscale restaurants in downtown Charleston that I have dined in. I never worried about anything that day, and apparently neither did my husband who seemed happy with his wallet! I will be using Legend Oaks for several upcoming events in our family and look forward to knowing that the same expectations and standards will remain.Allison and Alexandra

My husband and I were just married at Legend Oaks in June, and we could not have picked a more perfect venue for our wedding day. We chose Legend Oaks because it has the feel of a Southern plantation wedding, but without the price of one. The entire site is so picturesque. The road leading to the clubhouse is lined with beautiful, old, oak trees. The ceremony site is in the shade of live oaks. It’s peaceful and beautiful. The staff was amazing, particularly on the day-of. We did opt to pay the (very reasonable) extra fee to have Theresia (the event coordinator at Legend Oaks) coordinate our rehearsal and wedding day, and it was worth every penny. She knows exactly what to do and how everything should flow. She made sure we all knew where we were supposed to be, and our ceremony started precisely on time. Theresia went above and beyond by making sure our cake was stored in the fridge until dinner so that it wouldn’t melt in the June heat. The staff was very attentive to not just the bridal party, but to our guests as well. There is so much stress when you plan a wedding, and so many details to think about – the last thing a couple wants to do is stress out about decorations, set-up, and take-down on their wedding day. Basic set-up and take-down was part of our package, and the ceremony and reception areas looked better than I could have imagined. I didn’t have to worry about a thing. The food was excellent as well, and I really liked how much control we had over the bar package. The last thing I wanted was a surprise bar tab at the end of the night, so we were able to put a dollar cap on consumption. My husband and I are so happy we chose to be married at Legend Oaks. Our guests loved the venue as well and we had several say it was the nicest wedding they’d ever been to. It was perfect, and I can’t wait to see our wedding pictures!

She gave me a shoulder to lean on, provided endless advice & once we got the true planning started, everything was so easy to decide on thanks to her expertise. Her knowledge of this business is incomparable. The venue was beautiful & everything was set up just the way I had envisioned.From the food to the decorating, coordination & cleaning they provide all the services you need to make your day seamless. Our guests & vendors were treated with just as much warmth & love as we were. Lori & the rest of the staff made sure everyone was well taken care of & that the food was served & cleaned up with ease. Our guests were so complimentary of the staff, the venue & the food. The kids made new best friends out of Lori & the young lady working the bar who provided them with endless Shirley Temple's, Roy Rogers' & Maraschino Cherries. Our 3YO daughter starting calling her, her \"helper\" & she was so sweet & obliged her every desire. Theresia surprised us with 2 beautiful gold chairs for our sweetheart table, which was so kind & thoughtful. These are just a couple of examples of how they will go out of their way to make your day more amazing than you could have ever dreamed of. We wanted a Southern Wedding and Theresia Ware, the planner took care of so many details and guided us through the whole process. I had my wedding this past summer. Our ceremony was under the oak trees and it was beautiful! Our pictures are wonderful. There are so many pretty picture opportunities with all the oak trees. Theresia Ware was an absolute blessing with planning . She handled the rehearsal and was in complete control on the day of our wedding. She worked with us to get our budget where we needed to be. Legend Oaks is actually in Summerville- suburb right outside of Charleston- where we were able to have my dream outdoor reception and even get more for our money (being outside of the city a little and having their own equipment). Theresia Ware is the Event Coordinator at Legend Oaks and is in one word, amazing. She decorated everything beautifully with what we brought her to display or use in our celebration and no detail was too small or considered \"unimportant\" if it was important to me. She went above and beyond to help with any and everything she could that Wednesday through Sunday (\"Wedding Week\") and was right there with us through the entire reception... I have a feeling that isn't the norm and many places are only concerned with the block of time you're actually \"paying for.\" I can't say enough good things about Theresia- she was an angel to us. Legend Oaks also has delicious food- we chose the shrimp n' grits and the beef tenderloin with a garden salad, mashed potatoes, and seasonal veggies- EVERYTHING WAS SOOOO GOOD so no need to even consider bringing in another caterer. The bar tab very reasonable (I had done a LOT of research on bar tabs) and they were very flexible as we made last minute decisions on length of time to stay \"open-bar\"...they were so willing to accommodate whatever we wanted to do. The guys enjoyed Groomsman Golf the day before our wedding and loved the course. I highly recommend Legend Oaks if you're planning to have any sort of celebration in the Charleston, SC area!!

The bar tab very reasonable (I had done a LOT of research on bar tabs) and they were very flexible as we made last minute decisions on length of time to stay \"open-bar\"...they were so willing to accommodate whatever we wanted to do. The guys enjoyed Groomsman Golf the day before our wedding and loved the course. I highly recommend Legend Oaks if you're planning to have any sort of celebration in the Charleston, SC area!!

The wedding was May 2, 2015. It was a perfect weather, smooth performance of a wedding party of 10 bridesmaids /10 groomsmen. We had met with Theresa only 2 times to go over our plans and a tasting of the menue we choose. We live 2 hours away from Charleston so time was valuable. Theresa communicated with us frequently with e-mails and amazingly it all came together just right. I rented the Tudor Oaks Bed & Breakfast which was the only onsite place to lodge. That was a lifesaver putting all the girls in one place close by the day of the wedding. The decorations were put up just as we envisioned and all the staff treated us like we were VIP's. I got many compliments on the food. It was delicious. Theresa managed the ceremony down to the last dance seamlessly . I never had to worry about a thing. The guys played a round of golf that am and Theresa arranged it all to the wishes of the groom. It all went by too fast. We had a videographer and a photographer and the location with the beautiful trees and the golf course made beautiful pictures. As far as a destination wedding it was perfect for my daughter thanks to Theresa and her amazing staff . I would definitely recommend Legend Oaks to anyone who wants the beauty of the Charleston trees and Southern hospitality

The unique quality of this venue is that Theresia Ware and her staff are so friendly and accommodating, we felt like we were part of their family. They also offer golf outings for the guys that is really nice and the course was beautiful! I got married at Legend Oaks June of 2014. There were little things here and there but all in all... it was perfect! I'm not from the area so I actually came across it from different wedding websites including The Knot! I was looking for a simple, elegant place near Charleston without the \"Charleston\" price. I also wanted to get married under a big tree and well, if you visit this venue, you'll see why I chose it. As the name would suggest, there are beautiful oak trees everywhere! This is also a golf course so if you're into that, they offer a pretty good deal. I didn't interact much with the staff other than the wedding coordinator, Theresia. She was wonderful! Personable, nice, and has a lot of great ideas and experience! Working with her made the process much, much easier, especially since I was planning from another state. The day of the wedding, everything went smoothly and as planned. Theresia coordinated with my photographers, DJ, ushers, and everyone involved behind the scenes so I didn't have to worry about a thing. The entire venue was all set up when I got there, catering is on site so that was all handled and ready as well. The appetizers and dinner were tasty, I was surprised at all the options they had to choose from! The reception site (if you choose The Pavillion) is literally a few steps away from the ceremony site (under beautiful oak trees) which makes it super convenient for your guests! I could go on and on about how Legend Oaks was perfect for my big day but to sum it all up, the site is beautiful, the staff are super nice and friendly, the food is good and it's convenient! I would recommend Legend Oaks to any bride looking for an outdoor wedding with a Charleston feel without the Charleston price!:)

The food at the Reception was great. My pictures are so pretty and there are so many beautiful natural spots for pictures. We couldn't be happier with our experience with Legend Oaks! Our families are still talking about what a beautiful Wedding it was.

Theresia and Jim were wonderful from the start! I had a very hard time getting in contact with venues in the Charleston area. Some venues never even returned my calls. Jim sent me venue prices and specific information within 30 minutes of our initial phone conversation. We visited the place and we feel in LOVE with the scenery (especially the the oak trees that were to serve as a backdrop for our ceremony). From then on Theresia teamed up with us to help plan our special day! I must have emailed her a dozen times and called half a dozen times and she was very quick to respond to any question/concerns we had. The staff at Legend Oak's is very friendly and wonderful to work with. They worked with our budget to make our day a reality. When the Big Day actually came, Theresia made sure that everything ran smoothly both at the wedding and behind the scenes. On the day of rehearsal, we came up with a plan B just in case it rained the next day. I hated the thought of plan B because it took out the scenery of the ceremony. On our wedding day it rained all day until about 5:30pm (the ceremony started at 6pm). Theresia knew that I would be a very unhappy bride if i didn't have the scenery of the beautiful oaks as a backdrop for our ceremony. So, Theresia came up with plan C! I LOVED plan c even more than plan A! We had the ceremony under the pavilion with the oaks as our background like I wanted. We LOVED every second of our wedding and wouldn't change any moment of it-- We have Theresia and her team to thank for it! so THANK YOU!!!

The staff and the service at Legend Oaks was fantastic! Theresia Ware was so sweet and helpful from day one. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone! The decorations were beautifully done and the location was just perfect.

I would recommend Legend Oaks to any Bride who is looking for a Beautiful Southern Wedding that is affordable. Affordability with no cuts in service. Theresia, the Wedding Planner, and the staff are friendly and make you feel like you are the only Bride they have. Your Rehearsal, chairs and tables are included in the price. I had my Bridal Portrait taken on the grounds months before with no charge. The food was delicious and well priced. You are in control of the Bar, no surprises and well priced. Bartenders very personable.\rTheresia is there for your Rehearsal and the entire day of your Wedding. She helps you every step of the way with planning. I actually enjoyed the planning process that I was dreading from what I saw my recently married friends go through. My pictures are beautiful with so many great locations onsite for pictures. Theresia and the staff set-up everything the day of the wedding. I was able to just get dressed and enjoy those hours before the wedding with my bridemaids and family. This meant a lot to me. Theresia even brought me pics on her phone of my cake and gift table to see if they were the way I wanted them. She just really removed any stress and genuinely cared about my day going the way I visioned it. She made a sign for me last minute that I couldn't make up my mind and just pushed to the side. She helped me decide what to say she wrote it in calligraphy and sat by my ceremony site. She just goes out of her way to help. I can't say enough about Legend Oaks. They have a beautiful Venue but equally is the service and how they treat you like family that made my Wedding day more than I imagined.

Theresia and the staff at Legend Oaks were fantastic! I had so many questions and they were always answered promptly! Theresia made sure that our wedding went off without a hitch, and the ceremony and reception setup was done beautifully! All I had to focus on was walking down the aisle, and my special day with my husband! The grounds are absolutely beautiful! You'd be hard pressed to find a more beautiful location for the price. The food was delicious as well! Everyone seemed to love it! I would most definitely recommend Legend Oaks to other brides, tight budget or not.

Theresia and the staff at Legend Oaks were fantastic! I had so many questions and they were always answered promptly! I can't say enough about this Venue! My Wedding was not only beautiful but my experience made the planning process enjoyable. Theresia the Event Manager helps you with everything. She is there for Rehearsal and the day off. She points out things to think of that wouldn't think about. The staff makes you feel at home. The Bridal room is there for you to get dressed and they offer to have snacks and drinks waiting for you. We were able to have our Rehearsal Dinner onsite right after the rehearsal. My groomsmen enjoyed the Golf outing that morning. Got some cute pics from this also. They have a Bed & Breakfast right down the street from the Clunhouse that was perfect for my immedate family. The day couldn't have gone any smoother. The food was excellent and everthing was so nicely diplayed. My DJ and photographer have both told me how easy the wedding went for them as well. I couldn't have asked for a better Wedding Day. The grounds of the venue were the perfect backdrop for my pictures with the pond and the magnificient oak trees on the drive coming in. I would recommend this Venue for so many reasons!

My daughter chose Legend Oaks for her wedding and reception site after looking at a number of venues near Summerville, SC. I flew down from Philadelphia for a weekend in May to visit and give it the M O B seal of approval. The initial drive in from the main road was so beautiful with the live oaks forming a cascade over the drive in. After visualizing the Club House with the proshop closed, the golfers gone, and the restaurant closed, I began to see that the setting was perfect for a late summer wedding. \rTheresia Ware, the manager, could not have been more helpful, flexible, and supportive. It wasn't easy pulling off all the details we wanted from 700 miles away, but with Theresia's prompting, reminders and efficient help, we were able to have the wedding of my daughter's dreams on a perfect August evening. Attention was given to every single detail. The setting, menu, and entire wedding and reception exceeded my expectations!

Legend Oaks is a wonderful place. From our first contact with the property manager to after the ceremony, they were very helpful. The price of the venue is amazing for such a beautiful location. They offer to cater the event through their kitchen and the food we chose was excellent. The chair for the ceremony and the reception are covered up to 75 and the linens are also through the venue. I would highly recommend this venue.

Legend Oaks was extremely easy to work with. We had our ceremony and reception there. They helped with everything from planning to even coordinating the day of the wedding. The staff worked with my vendors to coordinate events during the wedding. They also put out all your decorations and clean up after the wedding. Tables and chairs were included, which was great to not have to rent them. They also have their own in house carter and the food was wonderful and reasonably priced. My only drawback was the bar. They are bar packages but are way overpriced. They charge per bottle of beer and per glass of wine. I would think it would be more reasonable to charge by bottle or have a better hourly bar package. Overall, we were very happy!!!

I cannot say enough good things about the folks at Legend Oaks. Dan and Theresia made our day into a total dream. \r\rDan and Theresia worked closely with us throughout the whole process to make sure each and every detail was perfect. \r\rJust as the rehearsal started, the rain came pouring in torrents - but Dan wouldn't let that ruin anything. He took charge and we went right ahead with the rehearsal on the covered porch. I don't know what I would have done without him on that day, taking charge with all those people! \r\rOn the wedding day, Theresia was right there offering me anything I needed and even helping me down the stairs in my dress. Dan served as our master of ceremonies, and together he and Theresia made sure that the whole day ran like a dream just as I had hoped and planned. \r\rThese folks are in a class of service lost in the world. The pricing is extremely reasonable for the area. We chose the Lowcountry Boil for our meal, and I'm still hearing about how good the food was a week later. \r\rLook them up if you are in Charleston!

Jill makes EVERYTHING easy. She is quick to work with you on your budget and she makes everything a breeze the day of. Not only are the people amazing but the venue site was beautiful. You don't even have to lift a finger to decorate and they create a masterpiece.

This is the most amazing venue! It is one of the most affordable places in the Charleston area and it is absolutely gorgeous!! Jill Causey makes everything go so smoothly and even when I thought I was going to have a breakdown she had the answer to everything, even when I forgot to call a driver until the day of. The entire staff is friendly and really works hard to make your day go smoothly. My guests could not believe how amazing the site was from how it looked, to the helpful staff, and not to mention the food (they were still talking about it days later!) Even more impressive is that we only had to drop off our decorations (which I had a lot) and Jill makes sure that everything is set up and it all looked amazing. The next day my parents go up there to pick everything up and their wonderful staff even carried everything to my dad's car, we did NOTHING! They completely take the stress away. You will not find a better venue in Charleston! Even my friends who spent 5 times what I did on their weddings were completely impressed by mine, and it's all thanks to everyone at Legend Oaks. I can not say enough wonderful things about this place it is truly just an amazing site with an amazing staff!! After just one visit you'll be in love, I promise!!!!!

Legend Oaks went above and beyond in helping make our wedding day special. I did not have a wedding planner nor did I need one because Jill Causey acted as my rock that night. Anything we needed, she took care of immediately. She and her staff will work with you to accommodate just about anything you specifically want for that day. They were extremely flexible. We were missing one of the tent's for our band and Legend Oaks helped put up a tent without any fuss. It rained during our ceremony but the staff were ready and willing to assist in any way possible. \rThe food was wonderful! And my cake was amazing thanks to Jill who took it upon herself to decorate it with extra flowers leftover. My florist should have done this, but for some reason did not, and Jill was there to make it look exquisite! She also stepped in when the florist forgot a bouquet - Jill was on the phone and did everything she could to help, including providing us some ribbon to physically make the bouquet from scratch with leftover flowers. \rOur wedding day was wonderful and I attribute that to Legend Oaks and their staff. It is a beautiful venue with southern charm and intimate settings.
