My husband and I just had our wedding at the Lehmann Mansion on 9/9/2023. To say it was the perfect day, is an understatement. From the very beginning of our venue search (1.5 years ago), the Lehmann truly stood out from other venues we looked at in the Chicago and Milwaukee area. Not only is the property absolutely amazing, but the people who work there make things extra special and made the planning process 100x more enjoyable. Jay in particular was our point of contact throughout the entire wedding process, and from the very beginning he was always so communicative and helpful. Something truly priceless is being able to find vendors who make the wedding planning process less stressful. Jay was consistently so responsive to my questions and last minute updates. We had so many compliments on our venue choice, I would choose the Lehmann Mansion over anything a hundred times over.

We just had our wedding 9/30/2023, and Lehmann Mansion did not disappoint! The venue is absolutely beautiful, the staff are professional and know exactly how to run a wedding, the food is great, and for a great price too! It was extremely nice to have a venue that takes care of all the rentals, sets up and tears down, and has preferred vendors. We used their preferred vendors for florist (Larkspur&Leo), DJ (Grand DJ Entertainment), and desserts (Lovin Oven). Everything went pretty flawlessly on our wedding day. Jay was always on top of everything and was quick to respond to all of my emails for planning. He is also flexible with different arrangements- we did an open bar for cocktail hour and then had a his/hers cocktail that we prepaid for a certain number of bottles in addition to the house package (beer and wine). He even worked to order in mezcal for my cocktail! Our guests had a great time and were definitely impressed with the venue. We were able to hang out in the bridal suites before starting pictures, had the ceremony outside, cocktail hour on the terrace, and reception in the tent. A lot of people had fun exploring the grounds.

The Lehmann Mansion is a great venue and our wedding there was amazing! The venue itself is so beautiful as is so it requires very little additional decoration (which helps save a little money!). They have several different options for ceremony locations both outdoors and indoors. We had planned on having an outdoor ceremony but had to move it indoor due to weather and I'm so happy we did. We had the ceremony in the living room of the mansion and it ended up being SO BEAUTIFUL! I would highly recommend it, even if the weather is nice. Doreen (the coordinator) was also a pleasure to work with and was very accommodating to all of our unique/custom needs. The tent for the reception was great. It looked amazing (we chose to have the strings lights in the ceiling for our wedding which I recommend) and was not too hot for a wedding on 09/01 which I was a little worried about. And the photos we got in and around the mansion were amazing! I would highly recommend this venue for a wedding.

I cannot say enough great things about Lehmann Mansion. Not only is the space absolutely GORGEOUS, the people you get to work with are incredible. Eddie and Mary did everything shy of moving a mountain to help make our day perfect. 2 months before our wedding, we decided to change venues. I called Eddie Bauer in a frenzy, asking for help, hoping he could somehow squeeze our wedding in. Sure enough, within hours I had a phone call from Mary calming me down, and making me believe this wedding was not only going to happen, but be better than I originally planned. For the first time in over a year, I felt like someone was on my side and wanted us to have the perfect day. Mary and Eddie made our wedding day a dream come true. My husband and I wanted to have an assortment of Greek and Italian desserts, so Eddie met with multiple bakers to sample their desserts until he found the perfect baker with the right price. Mary and I were in constant contact from the moment we booked until our big day, and even after. She really felt more like a wedding planner and friend than anything else. We were married on 4/28/18 and still get feedback from our guests that the staff, venue, and food were wonderful. Our drinks were never empty, nobody could tell there were any issues (myself included), the food portions were huge (and delicious!), and the staff was so sweet and helpful. At one point the staff even came out and joined us on the dance floor! Mary, Eddie, and the entire team at Lehmann Mansion felt more like family the day of, which only made it even more special. I feel so lucky to have found Lehmann Mansion and the Bauer Catering family/staff.

The most beautiful venue, but I echo sentiments below. To have to pay for a minimum of 125-150 and not be able to make up for it with upgrades is unfortunate. My 100ish guest wedding will probably cost more with all the upgrades than a 125+ guest wedding. Bauer's is phenomenal, but it seems like most of these policies are coming from the Village of Lake Villa & they are not very flexible with some of them.

This place may be beautiful, but the minimum guest counts are unfortunate. A beautiful mansion would be the perfect setting for our small intimate wedding of 85. To have to pay for 125-150 guests is not worth it.

Our daughter's wedding was at Lehmann Mansion in Lake Villa, Illinois on October 1, 2016. Our guests had a wonderful time and are still talking about the Mansion as it is a beautiful, unique, historical Venue! The permanent white tent which is attached to the Mansion is also beautiful with a white fabric draped material on the ceiling and historical chandeliers which creates a romantic ambience! It's truly a hidden gem! Our cocktail hour with served hors d'oeuvres was on the entire first floor of the historical Mansion where our guests could roam from room to room and in the adjoining courtyard. Then our guests were escorted into the attached permanent tent for their sit down plated dinner and dancing! We had a wonderful experience from beginning to end! Doreen Johnson helped to make our experience memorable in every way! Doreen was wonderful to work with and attended to every detail! She was always available and made sure our event ran smoothly!Eddie Bauer was the Caterer who provided delicious hors d'oeuvres, entree's and late night snacks! The presentation was beautiful as well! Eddie was very nice and accommodating! He has a great selection to choose from.The entire Staff was wonderful! They are all very friendly, knowledgeable and professional!We couldn't have been more pleased with our daughter and son-in-law's wedding at Lehmann Mansion!

Choosing the Lehmann Mansion as our reception venue was a great decision. We looked at many different venues in the suburbs, but the day we pulled up to the mansion we knew this was it. Our on site coordinator Doreen was extremely helpful from day one with our large guest list, a 9 piece band, and all the little details in between. Our per plate cost covered the cocktail hour appetizers, open bar, salad, dinner, cake, linens, uplighting in the tent, and obviously the facility. We also had some optional add ons including a hotdog cart as a late night snack. The food was terrific and all the staff were so helpful and kind. We loved being the only wedding there. I wanted to be able to just show up for the reception with nothing to worry about and Doreen and her team made that possible. I would highly recommend the Lehmann Mansion!

I could have not asked for better catering, staff, location, etc. the grounds are expertly maintained. The place is clean and bright!!!! They even waited out the weather to the very last minute. I loved that this venue provided all the seating, linens, had a preferred cake provider, caterer, etc. All we basically had to do was select what we wanted without shopping around. They were responsive and very helpful with questions. The house is really pretty and there are lots of opportunities for pictures. We just did the reception here but the grounds would be perfect for holding the ceremony too! The tent was a much nicer setting than Cuneo (which we also checked out). They also provide gluten-free and vegetarian meals which I appreciated as someone with Celiacs. The cake vendor also provided a delicious cake option too that was gluten-free!

We picked this because they are different from your typical \"wedding factory\". You get the whole run of the mansion and it is both elegant and classy. The bridal suite and bridal party dressing rooms on the top floor were both roomy and private. This place also has lots of places for guests to go and explore so this is anything but boring. This is TRULY a wonderful venue and I would recommend to anyone.

The bridal suite and bridal party dressing rooms on the top floor were both roomy and private. This place also has lots of places for guests to go and explore so this is anything but boring. This is TRULY a wonderful venue and I would recommend to anyone.
