Have you always dreamed of being married near the beach or on the water? Situated just minutes away from Ocean City, sitting high on a hill, Lighthouse Sound overlooks the Assawoman Bay and offers a breathtaking view of the OC Skyline, making it the perfect location for your special day! We can accommodate year round weddings from 50-200 people, and offer the traditional sit down, full service dinner, or buffet style food stations. Our events coordinator will gladly meet with you and work to customize the menu for the wedding of your dreams. We can accommodate an indoor ceremony for inclement weather or winter months. My husband and I were married at Lighthouse Sound on September 8th. To say that our day was perfect would be an understatement. Here is our review…The Space: We continue to have our guests tell us that this was the most beautiful wedding venue they have ever seen even months after our wedding. Our ceremony took place in the gazebo, cocktail hour on the patio, and reception in the tent (rented from Coastal Tented Events). All with incredible water views, cooling breezes, and great light. We were blessed with amazing weather, but also loved the indoor backup plan.The Staff: During the planning process, we worked with incredible coordinators. Shellie and Rose were THE BEST to work with. Rose joined the team later in our planning process and we were lucky enough to have her and Shellie both as our coordinators as our wedding was Rose’s first. They were willing and excited to answer my one million questions the months leading up to the wedding. Shellie communicated with our other vendors and gave recommendations every step of the way. Their day-of coordination was SPOT ON. They made sure every decoration, floral arrangement, sign, etc. was perfect and that the entire schedule of the day ran smoothly. The wonderful bartenders and servers provided outstanding service for my husband and I and all of our guests. The drinks were great and the food was incredible. Which brings me to the food…The Food: We loved how many options were available when selecting our menu… dinner tiers, plated or buffet style, hors d’oeuvres, and desserts. Having the catering done in house was so helpful and made our planning process easier.The Golf: My husband loves to golf! He enjoyed playing the course on the morning of our wedding (he got one foursome for free). The pro shop was happy to help with scheduling tee times for his groomsmen and our other family members that played as well. He said this is one of his favorite courses he has ever played!We cannot recommend Lighthouse Sound more. We had the most incredible wedding and credit so much of that to the wonderful people and experience Lighthouse Sound. We can’t wait to come back for more meals and golf next time we are in town.

We just had our wedding this past weekend, 7/11/20 at The Lighthouse Sound Restaurant. I can’t rave about this place enough. The venue is breathtaking. We got married in their gazebo that had a beautiful backdrop of the bay and Ocean City. The sunset there is also picture perfect! The inside is just as beautiful with huge chandeliers and a romantic fireplace.The wedding coordinator, Lauren, was so professional, very attentive, and helped me every step of the way with planning a wedding, especially through COVID. She really helped us plan and work through all the regulations to make our wedding perfect for myself and our guest. Her and the staff were truly amazing. The food was probably the best food I’ve had and I have had almost all of my guest say it was the best wedding they’ve attended. They’ve said the food was delicious and compliment the staff on their kindness and attentiveness.We definitely will be coming back to visit this gorgeous place for lunch or dinner! They really made me and my husbands wedding so special! We can not wait to see our pictures!!

This venue is absolutely beautiful, and Lauren the banquet manager was a dream to work with! The gazebo out back with the bay in the background was perfect for our ceremony, and it was so nice for our guests to just walk up to the patio for cocktail hour, and then right inside for the reception. The inside has beautiful wood beams and fit our wedding perfectly. Lauren truly made this experience for us. She was so great throughout the entire planning process; she always got back to me very promptly and was always willing to meet in person for any reason. She was very professional, and completely handled the day of coordination as well which was so great. I highly recommend Lighthouse Sound and Lauren! Thank you for providing the perfect place for our special day!

We had our wedding reception on 9.22.18 and it was absolutely PERFECT. Lauren was the coordinator on site and she killed it. My day was completely stress free and this venue was breath taking. All of the staff were attentive, fast and SOO nice! And we can't forget about the food, definitely the best wedding food I've tasted! We chose the plated meal (Steak, Chicken Cordon Bleu and Crab Cakes) and it was delicious...everyone's meal came out perfect. Highly recommend this place!!!!

We we're EXTREMELY pleased with the service we received at Lighthouse Sound for our ceremony and reception. The views are spectacular, the staff provided great service and the venue was the perfect blend of unpretentious class.Lauren Thorpe was a delight to work with and managed everything so smoothly. She coordinated all of our details efflrtlessly and promptly responded with answers to questions we had during our planning as we live in New Jersey and the wedding was in Maryland. Our wedding day went off without a hitch, thanks to her.A few weeks after the wedding, we returned to have dinner and we were greeted like family members. Our wedding server attended to us again and gave us fantastic service. Thanks Silvia...We will be back whenever we are in town.

Lighthouse Sound was an absolutely BEAUTIFUL venue to get married at. It was perfect to have a location where the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception could all be held without making guest travel. Shellie was our day-of coordinator and she was great! The entire staff took care of my guests like they were their own family, the food was fabulous, the bartenders were quick, and they were all very accommodating to all of our requests! Even when he came to final number changes they made it happen, no questions asked! The overall price per person was a little more than what we were budgeting for, it was worth it in the end! Their ceremony location overlooks the bay with a skyline view of Ocean City, Maryland and the reception area has huge bay windows that you are sure to always have a beautiful view anywhere you are sitting. Classy and elegant is a great way to describe this venue. We had 3-4 different points of contact throughout the process as they had turn-overs within the company, but that would be our only issue if you would even call it that--each contact was extremely nice and Shellie the main contact seriously made the day run perfect! Thank you Lighthouse Sound and your entire staff for giving my husband and I a fairytale day!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!

Everything was wonderful at Lighthouse Sound. Guests thoroughly enjoyed the view and I had several people compliment me on the food choices. Only a couple of small things went not as planned because of poor communication. The chef and waitstaff were very attentive to us as the bride and groom. Guests also noted how the bar service was outstanding. Olya was always helpful and attentive. Overall, outstanding!

The staff is amazing and very attentive to the bridal party. Olia the event coordinator is just amazing. For a bride all the stress was taken off of me. The food is another thing. Best food I have ever had. Tracey the chef made a meal that goes above Ruth Chris and the Chop House. The sauces that are paired with the food are out of this world.

The grounds are a golf course - so rolling green landscape with sweeping views of the bay and the Ocean City skyline. The restaurant has large windows so you feel surrounded by the gorgeous setting and high ceilings with a large brick fireplace. \rMy coordinator was Olya, and she came with the venue. She was spectacular - completely on top of every last detail from the moment we met with her. I felt in great hands, and we were! The wedding ceremony & reception went perfectly and all of her suggested vendors worked out great. The food is outstanding - my favorite part was the food tasting! Hands down the classiest place to have an outdoor beach wedding in Ocean City!
