The Lightner Museum is a historic venue in Saint Augustine, FL, hosting weddings and special events. Railroad tycoon Henry Flagler opened the doors to this iconic property in 1888 as the grand Hotel Alcazar. Fast forward 130 years, and the Gilded Age building has become the Lightner Museum, one of the city's most well-known attractions. Besides being known for its unique collection of antiquities, the Lightner Museum is one of Florida's most sought-after locations for hosting one-of-a-kind celebrations. Our wedding was absolutely beautiful!! Everyone raved about the venue and how gorgeous it was! I only have 2 complaints for the venue: all of the doors are locked and can only be opened by certain people on the night of the event. For example, my husband and I did a special toast (in the getting ready room) with our parents at the end of cocktail hour and before the reception. Our parents needed the elevator, but we were unable to access it until a key was provided. It took 15 minutes to find the person with that key so that we were able to use the elevator. Not a HUGE deal, but the day goes by so quick and we were stressed on time so it would have been nice for this to have not been an issue. Make sure someone with a key is with you as much as possible. Second thing I wish we could have changed. It rained on our wedding. Iâm not talking a little bit of rain, Iâm talking a monsoon! I was devastated as this absolutely ruined any chance we had of taking pictures outside. We only had a permit for pictures at the Lightner during the cocktail hour (when it was still pouring) so we were not allowed to take pictures at the museum until that time. My photographer attempted to get one group photo (under some cover) on the side of museum because I was so upset. We were literally chased out by staff. With how much money we paid to have the wedding there, it would have just been nice to have some grace in order to get a couple of outside pictures at this beautiful venue. I get that it is the policy, again I just wish some grace could have been shown due to the circumstances. The Lightner was beautiful and everything turned out great, just a couple of things I wish would have gone differently!

We cannot rave enough about our dream wedding at the Lightner Museum! From the moment we walked in to our first tour to the moment we did our sparkler exit, it was perfect. Our coordinator, Genevieve, helped us through every detail imaginable from the flow of our ceremony to making sure our day was executed flawlessly. The entire Lightner team answered all my emails and endless questions promptly and professionally. While we unfortunately cannot relive our day again and again, we can hope that other couples get to experience the same magic we did!

The Lightner Museum was a unique and amazing experience for my daughters wedding. The team was very accommodating and the customer service was superb. From the grandeur of the historic museum and the support of the staff, you could not go wrong by selecting the Lightner as your wedding venue choice. The team assisted us in ensuring that every detail was discussed and resolved. We do not live in Virginia and as a result to ensure that they understood our needs they met with us via Zoom when we were not able to come into the office. If you've stubbled upon this venue and you're considering or trying to decide; look no further.

Genevieve and the rest of the Lightner staff were amazing! The venue speaks for itself but you can have a beautiful venue and still not have the day be picture perfect without the right people in place to carry out your vision. Lightner did not disappoint. My daughter said she had the wedding of her dreams! They got everything right down to the last detail! The response to all the questions I had throughout this process was extremely fast and they always made us feel that we were the only couple that was getting married there. We never felt rushed and they had so much patience in making sure we understood the process. The bar staff also added to the night. I love how they interacted with the guests and remembered what they were drinking. One bartender found one of my cousins to let him know he just made him a fresh margarita! If the bar staff had time they even brought my husband and I fresh drinks on the dance floor. Everything was just so well done and the evening flowed perfectly. I know when we were looking at venues it was a difficult decision especially when the Lightner is a little pricier, but it was worth every penny. Having access to that unique venue space and the vendors that the Lightner puts you in contact with can ensure that each couple can have a very unique wedding. Once again shout out to the Lightner Staff for the wonderful job they did! Honestly cannot say enough!

My husband and I were just married at Lightner Museum almost three weeks ago - and it was truly the best day of our lives so far. As teenagers, we had many dates to St. Augustine, so we immediately looked for wedding venues there after getting engaged. From our first tour with Olivia, we absolutely fell in love with Lightner Museum. She was also extremely accommodating for doing additional tours with our parents with little notice. I could write so much more about how we loved doing our ceremony inside on a hot Florida evening, or how much we loved doing Cocktail Hour in the ornate and beautiful Grand Lobby, or how the wedding parties loved hanging out in the Suites - but just know that Lightner Museum is a PERFECT wedding venue, and the staff will take such good care of you!!!! The Lightner Museum is a magical venue that made our wedding so special! This museum has been around since 1888 and is filled with both history and charm. The team at the Lightner Museum went above and beyond to make our wedding perfect! Katie especially did everything she could to ensure everything ran smoothly! The museum has stunning views of St. Augustine from its terrace, making it a perfect setting for any wedding ceremony and/or reception. Additionally, the museum is conveniently located next to some popular attractions like the Castillo de San Marcos fort, giving guests plenty of things to do before and after the big event!

It was so beautiful inside and out and truly a breathtaking location. Carli and the rest of the Lightner's event team were so wonderful! They were friendly and efficient and made us feel completely at ease. Carli was with us every step of the way and truly went above and beyond! The Lightner team also gave us some great vendor recommendations and we really needed the extra help because we weren't from the area.This was the perfect place for a dream wedding and reception and everyone had a wonderful time!

We got married at the Lightner in November of 2022, and planned our wedding for about a year and a half before that, and I can't even express how easy and enjoyable the Lightner Team made this experience for us! Bailey was communicating with us every step of the way, and she is just the best and so attentive. We couldnât recommend the lightner museum enough!!! Genevieve and the whole staff at the Lightner were absolutely incredible to work with. They made the most important day of our lives the absolute best day of our lives. Not to mention that the lightner is the most beautiful venue to tie the knot đ I wouldnât have wanted to get married anywhere else. My husband and I highly recommend considering the Lightner as an option if you are looking to get married in the beautiful historic town of St. Augustine đ€

Every step was so effortless and stress free for me (the bride). We chose the intimate package that Lightner offers and it was truly wonderful. Our package included Caterers, Cake and Desserts, DJ, coordinators, and decorations. The day of our wedding, they made sure that we had everything we could possibly need.

Genevieve and her team were incredibly easy to work with, very communicative, patient with my millions of questions, and made sure the entire day went smoothly. Beyond being professional, itâs clear that Genevieve and her team wanted us to have a perfect day and did everything they could to make that happen, and we cannot thank them enough. We felt like they truly cared about us, and it made the whole experience that much better. Thank you allâwish we could do it again every weekend!!

We loved our Lightner wedding! The venue is so special, and the events team truly elevated the whole experience. From the moment we toured with Olivia it was clear they were passionate about making sure every couple has the best possible day, and Emily carried that energy all the way through to our wedding day. Our guests absolutely raved about the event, the only thing I wish we had done differently is added on extra time at the end of the night because we really didnât want it to end! Emily made sure that we got photos in all the perfect little spots the museum has, and we can cherish those pictures for years to come. The intimate wedding package was a really convenient option especially for people who hate making choices, vendor standouts from the package were Arlene from Sweet Weddings who made the perfect desserts/cake and Bill from DJ ProShow who kept the party going. The bar staff was also phenomenal! I would without a doubt choose the Lightner if we did it all over again!

The team at the Lightner Museum (we worked mostly with Bailey) was absolutely amazing!! Bailey worked closely with me and my wedding coordinator to ensure that the entire day ran smoothly. She was very responsive and able to answer all of my questions and ease any concerns I had about the day. The Lightner Museum is the most amazing, unique venue and all of our guests were blown away by the architecture and history. The grounds are beautiful and there are so many great photo opportunities. I wish I could do it all over again with their team!!

The Lightner literally made our dreams come true! We were helped and taken care of every step of the way. In the beginning of the process they provide you with a checklist for planning and an amazing vendor list to choose from for photographers, videographers, hair, makeup, florals, etc. They also take the stress out of finding a caterer and bakery. Once the date gets closer, they check in with a very detailed questionnaire regarding every detail at the venue (lighting, color scheme, placement of tables etc.) The amount of time and attention they put into the wedding made it possible for me to plan it without a wedding planner. The staff at the Lightner are true professionals and genuinely care about every couple that comes to them. The day of the wedding was a literal breeze. They have staff all around the venue helping your guests maneuver the space and stay true to the timeline. The day of coordinator they provide is with you through the whole planning process and they know exactly where you need to be and when you need to be there. Wedding days can be stressful if youâre trying to mingle with family, remember to eat food, and stick to a timeline but with the help from the day of coordinator we didnât have to think about anything but enjoying our day. I canât suggest this venue enough, and thatâs not even mentioning the GORGEOUS property itself with amazing photo opportunities. 1 million out of 10 would recommend.

In 2018, my (then boyfriend) Kevin and I made a trip up to St. Augustine for a concert, and while we were we did a tour of the Lightner Museum. There just so happened to be a wedding the day that we went on the tour, and as soon as I saw the pool area being set up, I had made my mind up that I wanted our wedding to be at Lightner (even though we weren't even engaged yet). Fast forward to 2022, Kevin and I were lucky enough for our dreams to become reality, and we got married at the Lightner this past May. I loved this venue from the minute I laid eyes on it, and our wedding was everything we could have imagined and more. The venue staff - from the sales side of things, all the way to the event coordinators (shout out Britney and Baily!) - were beyond amazing. Each person we worked with was communicative, up-front, professional, kind, knowledgeable, engaged, fun to work with, the list goes on and on. We received so many compliments from our friends and family about how amazing our venue was. Lightner is beautiful in itself, but you have the freedom to completely transform the space to your liking (OR leaving it simply as is). Additionally, there are a variety of spaces/rooms that you have access to throughout the planning process, as well as the day of - all of which are included when purchasing your package. Our cocktail hour was held in the grand lobby, while our ceremony AND reception were held in the pool. I was beyond impressed with how the team quickly and efficiently transformed the space while our guests were at cocktail hour - it literally becomes an entirely different space all together. The Lightner is elegant, timeless, and is as luxurious as it is historic. If I had to do it again, I would choose Lightner Museum over and over again. Your guests will never forget this one-of-a-kind venue!!!

There were so many options for our ceremony and reception that allowed us to have the perfect combination of an outdoor ceremony with a breathtaking reception venue. Guests had the opportunity to enjoy a different part of the museum for each part of our wedding day from ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner, and reception. This was only amplified by the amazing staff that helped pull everything together. Bailey, especially, was particularly amazing. She worked with us to find the perfect lighting, layout, and setting for everything. She was extremely responsive and tailored to our every need and want for the day.

There are no words to express how incredible our experience with the Lightner Museum was from start to finish. I am still in awe of the fact that despite how popular of a venue this is, they made me feel SO special - like I was the only bride in the world. I truly can't express how much this meant to me. It is obvious how stunning the venue is but the true gem of this venue was the extraordinary and beyond professional staff. We were assigned Genevieve who was honestly so professional and amazing, it was like she was a paid vendor herself but in actuality, she is just one of the many many perks of contracting with the Lightner. She was an outstanding resource for both me and my wedding planner throughout the entire planning process and helped make my dream wedding come to life. The Lightner staff was flexible and had well-executed backup plans already available for when we were concerned about the weather for transition periods, knew exactly how to get everything flipped perfectly and coordinated with our many vendors, helped to get necessary city permits and photo times planned, and did everything possible to make this the perfect weekend. The bar staff and options were so outstanding that we are consistently being told by numerous guests that we had the best wedding bar they had ever experienced. I cannot express enough how fabulous of an experience we had with the Lightner Museum.

My husband and I were married on Sunday February 6, 2022. Our day was perfect, everything a bride and groom could ever want out of their wedding day. We utilized their Sunday Intimate wedding package for 100 people. This was a mostly inclusive package that included an open bar, catering, basic decor, a DJ, wedding cake, day of coordination, and day of staffing. This was a great deal to us as is, however we still ended up upgrading almost everything. They have lots of bonus packages to take advantage of as well, like the Luxe Package, which we did end up using! It was also well worth it, in our opinion. From the first time we met with Lexi (who was AWESOME and truly a big factor in us booking the venue) we knew The Lightner was the place we wanted to get married at. The venue itself is absolutely breathtaking. Alex, our day of staff member, was also great to work with. She was quick to respond, knowledgeable, kind, and fun. Their selection of vendors is also top notch. There is definitely a reason to go with their preferences and they all work closely to ensure your day goes as planned. We had *one* minor hiccup on day of that truly was no big deal and had to do with the catering. Both my husband and I wish we could have our wedding over each and every weekend at The Lightner and it was such a fun experience that the staff only enhanced. The event team also sent us a special package after the wedding that included really cute champagne glasses. We canât wait to use those on our anniversary đ

Immediately following our tour of The Lightner Museum, we knew it was where we wanted to have our wedding reception. Not only is it one of the most unique venues, but the staff is fantastic. Our event manager was Katie who worked closely with our coordinator along with our other venodrs to make sure our vision was brought to life. Planning and getting married is nothing short of a stressful time, however doing it during a pandemic is even MORE stressful! I am happy to say that Lightner Museum and their wedding coordinating team made it a very smooth process. We were planning our wedding from out of state and we were first given a private virtual tour of the venue. This gave us an opportunity via Zoom to ask questions and get a better understanding of the layout of the venue. The museum is in the heart of St. Augustine; a beautiful, Spanish influenced restored hotel that has a beautiful garden, âpoolâ area (where we had our ceremony and dance), and also an artifacts area that displays objects from the time the museum was a hotel. After everything was booked and the date was set we were handed over to Alex who helped us build our timeline, bar tasting, and to make sure everything went according to plan. The professionalism and seamless execution of all parties involved was nothing short of amazing. All the details we requested were met and my husband and I truly had a great time on our wedding day not having to worry about anything besides enjoying ourselves and our guests. Brandy is an absolute dream to work with and really became a friend by the end of the planning process. We had to reschedule twice due to COVID and Brandy and the team worked incredibly hard to make sure we were able to hold a small ceremony in 2020, and still be able to have our dream reception in 2021. The venue itself is BEYOND beautiful and your photos will be absolutely out of this world!! The Lightner team really held me together during an incredibly stressful time and I will forever be grateful to them!! They even went as far as to babysit our puppy Otto while we were taking photos, and made him the star of his own photo shoot! I cannot imagine a better venue!!

My now husband and I loved having our wedding at the Lightner! We got engaged during the pandemic and while we grew up in Florida, are not local to the area. I wanted to marry somewhere more unique and historic, like a museum or library, large enough to accommodate both of our big families, and that is so beautiful on its own, it really doesn't need much decoration. From just looking at the Lightner on its website and taking the virtual tour, it definitely fits that vision! The space is huge and can be customized in so many different ways, and I was able to realize my vision of mixes of classic and modern inspired decor, all without really adding too much, because as I said, the Lightner is truly beautiful on its own. The day of the wedding, our guests could not stop talking about how beautiful and historic the space was, and loved taking a little tour of the museum exhibits! Additionally, since we weren't local, we didn't end up seeing the venue until almost 2 months before our wedding, but throughout the entire planning process, Genevieve, Brandy, and the whole Lightner team were incredibly responsive and helpful, especially for a very Type A planner such as myself! My only regret is not having had more time in this beautiful place :) Highly recommend if you're looking for a larger venue in St. Augustine, it truly stands out from so many of the other places in the area.

We loved having our reception at the Lightner Museum. Bailey and team are so easy to work with and are always quick to respond to any questions. It was very easy and seamless to coordinate anything with their team and took a lot of wedding-day stress away from me as the bride. For out-of-town guests coming to St. Augustine for the first time, you cannot find a better, more beautiful venue than the Lightner, it truly is the crown jewel of St. Augustine. Before we had the event, I was a tad worried about the venue layout (eating on the 2nd floor and doing all the dancing below) but our older guests loved being able to look over the balcony and watch the dancing and it was also super fun to do our first dance with all of our guests cheering and watching from above. Not only did we have a great experience for all our guests, but we got the most amazing photos in and around the venue. The courtyard and upstairs museum area made for unique photos I haven't seen anywhere else. Overall, you will not regret booking the Lightner Museum. It truly is a one-of-a-kind venue you will not be able to find anywhere else in the world. Your guests will love it and you as a couple will love the way it looks in photos, videos, and all the memories you hold from your big day!

I got married at the Lightner & definitely recommend this historic museum as your wedding venue! The museum itself is beautiful and the fact it has so much history is an amazing plus. Guests were able to appreciate the museum by touring during cocktail hour, and during the reception were able to admire the grand architecture inside the pool area. Every photo I saw taken during my wedding had a beautiful backdrop because literally every inch of the museum is stunning. Aside from aesthetics, the team at the Lightner was amazing especially my wedding coordinator Katie. Katie was a pleasure to work with and is so kind and down to earth. The staff bartenders were rockstars and always had a drink ready for the bride and groom which was very much appreciated as on your day you barely get to finish even one drink. My husband and I recently got married at The Lightner Museum and it was such a beautiful venue. Our guests were super impressed and loved that we were able to have the ceremony and the reception all in one place. The day of coordinator Emily was amazing and super helpful and on top of things. The reason we chose Lightner was because it is so beautiful in its on right that we didn't need to spend all the extra money on flowers and decorations. I would highly recommend purchasing the string lighting because it is rather dark in the pool area. The bridal suite is also very dimly lit and the only light we had was a chandelier that gave off very little lighting. Now the reason that I am giving this venue 4 stars instead of 5 is because we paid $10,000 to be able to rent out the entire museum and the staff kept locking us out of places and locking us in places. We had very minimal time to take pictures and there was an older slim lady with gray hair who was very rude about not letting us take pictures on the third floor. She put us behind schedule because she refused to let my bridal party and photographers and videographers on the third floor to take pictures. Even when we had a nice man with keys escort us up she made it very obvious that she was annoyed that we were going up there. We also got locked in the court yard and had to have our wedding planner run around & look for someone with a key to let us back inside. Obviously these things aren't huge deals but they cost us ALOT of valuable time we could have used taking pictures. I was pretty frustrated about that. Other than that our experience was wonderful and I would definitely suggest this venue to a friend or family member.

I found this venue on Wedding Wire when I was newly engaged back in the spring of 2019. From the moment I saw photos and videos, I knew my search was over! To start, the venue was originally a luxury hotel back in the late 1800s (same era as my engagement ring!) and at the time had the largest indoor swimming pool in the world. How cool is that? It's also situated in the heart of downtown St. Augustine and VERY walkable for wedding guests staying at the Casa Monica or nearby hotels, airbnbs, etc. AND it's just a timeless place that reminds me a lot of my hometown, New Orleans. :) These are just a few of many reasons this venue was a literal dream for my husband and I to say I Do in!It's hard to put into words how appreciative my husband and I are for the Lightner Team - especially Kelly Hale and Brandy Boulette! Kelly is part of the sales team and did a fabulous job answering all the questions we had for her (there were many!) and taking us on a very comprehensive tour of the spaces we could rent - thank you Kelly! Brandy literally made our event happen, is amazing at what she does, and is overall just an awesome person. She knows the Lightner inside and out and will do her best to work with any idea you throw her way - including a traditional New Orleans Second Line from the ceremony to cocktail hour! haha! (Thanks for executing this so well, Brandy. Made me feel like I was back in the Big Easy!)I also want to mention how professional Brandy and her team were with handling Covid-19 concerns and postponements. They created policies and set safety protocols which really helped to put a lot of our guests' minds at ease. While we definitely had our moments of uncertainty, Brandy and her team were always there to help.Again, it's so hard to describe how grateful we are to have worked with this fantastic team at this stunning venue. We are beyond thrilled to have had our big day even in the midst of the pandemic and will cherish that night and all the planning leading up to it, forever.

We booked our wedding for on a Saturday February 2021 back in January of 2020, long before most people even knew what COVID is. We planned on having a 100 person wedding, knowing that everyone, ourselves included, is traveling from out of town, and most from out of state. It would therefore not be possible to have most of our guests attend, due to work schedules, to host on any day but a Saturday. Because of our Jewish faith, we cannot host the wedding during Shabbos (Friday sundown - Saturday sundown). We therefore planned an early February wedding because the sundown time would allow us to have our wedding at a reasonable time (6:30pm start time). Due to COVID, they are now working with most couples on a 8-10 week out basis to reschedule their weddings. If you're considering a venue and have never planned a wedding before, you should know how unrealistic that timeframe is. At 8-10 weeks out, your invitations should be out, you should be receiving RSVPs back, working on vendor specifics, have the brideâs dress altered, etc. etc. We approached them to reschedule our Feb. 2021 wedding, as we had been hearing from nearly all of our guests that they would not be able to come, due to travel restrictions and health considerations. As an exception to the 8-10 week policy, they offered to reschedule our event to June of 2021 at the latest, which we appreciated, but due to Shabbos, we cannot have a wedding any later than February, as the sundown time would force us to start our wedding very late in the evening. For example, if it were held in April, weâd have to start at around 8pm; this would mean the event would end at 1:30, well past their cut off time stipulated in the contract. We then asked for a Saturday in late October, or all of November and December, and they offer us the Saturday before or the Saturday after Thanksgiving; no other dates! They know this is not workable for a wedding where everyone is coming from out of state; nobody would come to a wedding right before or right after Thanksgiving. We then asked several times for Saturdays in January or February 2022, both of which would accommodate our guestsâ travel needs and our religious needs, but they refused to provide that option, however several asks later, they agreed to provide those options, but insisted on charging an additional $2,000, on top of our already outrageously overpriced venue contract (to the tune of $15,500+ originally).Because it was the only venue my fiancee and I both liked, we begrudgingly agreed to pay the $2,000 additional fee, but they then refused to host our wedding, saying theyâre ânot a good fit.â They took it upon themselves to cancel our contract, refusing to host our wedding as scheduled or on any other previously offered date. Nobody at this organization answers phone calls or emails without a three day minimum to get back to you. Some emails went a week without a response.If you are considering a St. Augustine wedding, do know that there are many other wonderful options in historic downtown and along the beach (keep in mind Treasury on the Plaza is also operated by this organization, where youâll have similar poor treatment). You should consider these alternatives if you value good communication, customer service, and/or having your religious needs accommodated. You should also consider these alternatives if you are Jewish as they have proven that they are happy to discriminate against and mistreat Jewish couples without hesitation.

Can I give more than 5 stars?!! What a beautiful venue. The Lightner offers architecturally beautiful and different areas for ceremonies, and cocktails with access to gardens and the museum. The former pool with its mezzanines set the stage for our ceremony. Flowing draperies and uplighting along with white wire string lights overhead created the mood along with a greenery wall draped with flowers. It was gorgeous. The stunning Grand Lobby was where we hosted cocktails. And the event staff were absolutely fabulous!! They deftly and expertly handled every aspect of the planning and execution of the wedding. Brandy was helpful with advice during many difficult decisions that presented because of the Covid virus. On our wedding day, one guest who needed handicapped parking, was unable to find an available space. Brandy went out, found where they were, and brought them to her assigned parking place and moved her car elsewhere . Thatâs generosity of spirit! Our guests were so complimentary and effusive about the wedding. It was truly beautiful.

After postponing from March to August the Wedding was able to happen and it was beyond beautiful. The staff managed all vendors and allowed everyone to enjoy the wedding. We had a wonderful experience from the very beginning. My husband and I had spent the day touring several different venues around St. Augustine before visiting the Lightner as our last stop. The Event/Sales Manager Kelly met us. She was a breathe of fresh air from the rest of the tours. From the beginning she just got us. We knew instantly the Lightner was the venue for us. Kelly worked with us answering questions, revising the contract, handling insurance questions and every little detail we through at her before we signed. She was very professional and prompt in her responses. If I emailed her, I always heard from within 24 hours.The venue is by far one of the most unique venues in town. The venue is rich in history, has so much charm and character. You can dress up the venue any way you want it and it will just work. The venue is so versatile as well every experience is uniqueWe got married off sight at a church in town, after the ceremony our guests walked across the street to the Lightner Museum. They entered through the courtyard, into the Grand Lobby where they received their first cocktail. There they were able to tour the museum before working their way down into the âpoolâ for cocktail hour. After cocktail hour everyone went up to the mezzanine level (like the pool deck) as the band announced the bridal party into the pool. It was so neat to be able to look up and see all of our loved ones looking at us as we started our first dance. The space accommodated our 190 attendants comfortable and flowed well. Leading up to the wedding day Katie was fantastic to work with. She arranged walkthroughs for us, helped us with our layout, uplight and design. She was full of wonderful ideas and such a joy to work with. On the wedding day Katie and her team were completely professional, efficient and made everything run smoothly. We did not have to worry about a thing. The staff was very attentive and bent over backwards to make sure we had everything we need - they even had a second drink in our hands just before we finished the one we already had. My husband and I met at and went to Flagler College and it was important for us to tie the Henry Flagler aspect into our wedding day. The Lightner Museum was the perfect fit for us but the Lightner team is truly what made it such a wonderful experience!

We had a wonderful experience from the very beginning. My husband and I had spent the day touring several different venues around St. Augustine before visiting the Lightner as our last stop. The Event/Sales Manager Kelly met us. She was a breathe of fresh air from the rest of the tours. From the beginning she just got us. We knew instantly the Lightner was the venue for us. Kelly worked with us answering questions, revising the contract, handling insurance questions and every little detail we through at her before we signed. She was very professional and prompt in her responses. If I emailed her, I always heard from within 24 hours.The venue is by far one of the most unique venues in town. The venue is rich in history, has so much charm and character. You can dress up the venue any way you want it and it will just work. The venue is so versatile as well every experience is uniqueWe got married off sight at a church in town, after the ceremony our guests walked across the street to the Lightner Museum. They entered through the courtyard, into the Grand Lobby where they received their first cocktail. Katie and her crew worked tirelessly to ensure that the entire night ran smoothly and went off without a hitch! Every detail was well thought out and executed flawlessly. The staff was incredibly attentive and knew what we wanted, before we even knew (food from our buffet, a drink or glass of water, etc.)! They were truly a godsend! We had our ceremony in the \"Grand Lobby\" (which I would highly recommend, it was GORGEOUS!), and then moved through the museum to the \"pool area\" for cocktail hour, dinner and the reception. The space held our 165 guests well, and everyone was comfortable throughout the night. The acoustics of the building itself, made for a great sound from the band, and we enjoyed dancing the night away under the fun string lighting! If you're looking for a venue that's iconic, unique and functional, then this is definitely where you want to be! :)

My husband and I are sooo happy we went with the Lightner Museum. It's such a beautiful, romantic, historic venue yet versatile in that practically any theme can be carried out beautifully there. What made our experience even more memorable was the staff. They did everything in their power to make sure we were happy with everything and that things went off without a hitch the day of. It was such a pleasure working with everyone especially Katie. My husband is a government employee and unfortunately we were affected by the government shutdown that took place earlier this year right smack in the middle of our planning. Katie and the Lightner team worked so well with us it made it possible to continue planning. That's something that really meant a lot to us and we'll never forget. Thank you Katie and the Lightner team for being so wonderful, caring, attentive, and professional. We love you!

There was plenty of space and it is such a unique, beautiful venue and the perfect place to show off St. Augustine. The venue staff was so attentive and helpful with every detail. I would highly suggest working with the venue staff over anywhere else. They know what theyâre doing!! If youâre looking at the Lightner for your wedding or rehearsal dinner, do it! We were so thrilled to have gone with the Lightner Museum for our wedding venue. We fell in love with it and were glad our guests felt the same way. It's such a unique venue and our guests loved being able to spend time in St. Augustine. Working with Christina and Katie was great. Katie worked so well with me, our day of coordinator, and photographer to make sure the day ran smoothly and accommodate our requests. We had our ceremony and reception on the ground floor of the historic pool and it felt like a different room before and after they turned it over. Having the reception on the ground floor made it feel so much more intimate and helped everyone to be more involved (I was also grateful to avoid stairs). We took our first look photos on the third floor of the historic pool and got to take fun photos with the wedding party in the old spa in the museum. I love how our wedding photos in the courtyard and hallways came out. They also just renovated the bridal suite and it's beautiful! My bridesmaids and I got great shots there as well (and some pre-wedding snacks and champagne). I absolutely recommend the Lightner Museum.

They know everything there is to know about planning a wedding in Historic St. Augustine and are happy to help you every step of the way. A huge shoutout to Katie Noble who indulged our every whim and dealt with my large family and their many opinions. She handled the evening with grace. We had 250 out of town guests and every single one of them has mentioned how impressed they were with the whole weekend. If youâre looking for a night you wonât ever forget, book the Lightner Museum.
