Little Brook Meadows is a romantic ranch wedding venue located near downtown Lancaster, OH. This property offers 50 acres of scenic landscapes where you can escape and celebrate your love story in peace and pastoral beauty. Owner Therese Ryckman and her husband purchased the ranch in 2008 and, after some convincing from their daughter, decided to turn the barn into a wedding venue. They welcome couples as if they're family and love helping them celebrate their milestone day. At Little Brook Meadows, you can celebrate with up to 300 of your nearest and dearest in the 75-year-old barn. This building has been discreetly renovated, maintaining the original rustic charm while providing modern amenities. These updates have included creating a bridal suite as well as installing wheelchair-accessible restrooms, a bar and a food prep area. Ceremonies can be held at multiple sites throughout the grounds letting you make the most of the stunning outdoors. Receptions, meanwhile, are held in the barn, where decor and flowers can transform it into your dream wedding venue. The space is illuminated by large globes, whose color can be changed to fit your vision. At the end of the night, up to 20 guests can be hosted in the 8,000-square-foot mansion for a restful sleep. You'll have the support of a professional wedding coordinator at Little Brook Meadows, who is on hand to help with your ceremony and reception coordination. You're also invited to use the venue's own selection of props as you decide on your ideal design scheme. The team will take care of setting up the tables and chairs in the barn, following your floor plan. Couples are free to choose their own catering company, allowing them to pick the business that best suits their ideas and budget.

As an excited prospective client of this venue from the Cleveland area, we were excited to come visit and plan a wedding with you, staff seemed very friendly over the phone, In the future, if you do not perform Same sex marriages please update that on your website so no one has to waste any of their time and excitement! We went over the website again and no where was that listed!

Little Brook Meadows made our dream wedding come true. This venue is BEAUTIFUL and so fun if you are looking for a rustic, barn, outdoorsy wedding. From the beginning of booking with them, Therese was communicative with important information. She was easy to reach through email for any help that we needed. The wedding coordinator, Sue, was beyond helpful. We met with her a couple times before our wedding because my husband and I are the first in our families to get married, so we had lots of questions. She helped with our rehearsal and with our actual wedding. Therese and Sue were there on our wedding day to make sure EVERYTHING was taken care of. We were so appreciative of that. Another huge part of our decision for choosing this venue was the mansion that you can rent. We rented the house on Friday and Saturday night for our wedding party. It was so special to have all of our closest friends staying there together for the whole weekend. We had our rehearsal dinner in the house as well and every guest had such wonderful things to say about the property. So many compliments were also given from guests at our wedding. We wish we could do it all again. Thank you Little Brook Meadows for the best weekend of our lives!

Little Brook Meadows is a wonderful venue, with even better staff. My husband and I were blown away with not only how beautiful the venue is, but also how organized and effective Therese (the owner) and Sue (the coordinator) are with the entire wedding-planning process. They truly took care of every. single. detail. and made the wedding day smooth and drama-free. Our wedding party and families loved talking and working with them as well, as they truly added the personal touch to our wedding day and we felt very special. In addition, if you are thinking about renting the mansion, DO IT. We decided to rent the mansion for two nights (the night before the wedding + the night after), and had our wedding party stay with us. This was an excellent choice, as we were able to have our rehearsal dinner there, and spend time with our people without the pressure of 100 other wedding guests around us. This made for a very fun and positive wedding day, as we were able to all be together before and after the wedding itself. With that, we were able to get ready in the house (professional hair stylists & makeup traveled to the house) and we have so many beautiful pictures, as the house itself is gorgeous. Having our wedding at Little Brook Meadows was the best choice we could have made, and we absolutely loved working with Therese, Sue, and Deb (our wedding-day bartender).

Little Brook Meadows was the perfect venue for our wedding!! Therese & Sue were so wonderful and easy to work with. The communication was great and they were on top of everything! This place was literally a 1 stop shop as they have all the extras to use for decor. Our guests gave us so many compliments about this hidden gem. The location is perfect, there are so many gorgeous photo opportunities for the photographer. Little Brook Meadows encompassed the venue of our dreams!

The second we toured this venue we knew we wanted to get married here! Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful and everyone raved about the venue staff. They have tons of props and decor that you can use (included in the price!) which was great - we didn't have to buy anything extra! Therese and Sue (owner and wedding coordinator) were helpful through the entire process and managed everything on the day of so I didn't need to stress. Even with COVID craziness, they were positive and great communicators with all the changes in guidelines we needed to be aware of. We also reserved the house for the weekend for the two of us and the wedding party, and hosted the rehearsal dinner there on Friday evening. It was so wonderful that we could all stay together and really enjoy the pre/post wedding festivities.

The second we toured this venue we knew we wanted to get married here! Our wedding day was absolutely beautiful and everyone raved about the venue staff. We are beyond blessed to have been connected with Little Brook Meadows for our wedding in September! Despite the year of 2020 being so unpredictable, this venue provided excellent communication and we were still able to have a perfect wedding! We were excited that the house became available and we ended up booking the house for 2 nights too allow our entire bridal party and a few additional friends to stay with us, as this was a way for everyone to get to spend the 2 days together. Family could come and eat with us following rehearsal and it was a safe option so we didn't have to figure out how we were all getting from point A to B. Plus it saved ample amounts of time the day of the wedding, as we didn't have to factor in drive time. The house was perfect for us! Everyone had a place to sleep and space to get ready. The master bedroom/bathroom was absolutely perfect for all of us girls to get ready and just hang out. Our photographer was loving the features in and around the house! We loved that it still had the old charm to it and we continue to reminisce about our stories together from the rehearsal and wedding nights! The wedding day was flawless! Everything was set up exactly how I envisioned. We got married near the red barn and moved into the big white barn for the reception. City BBQ catered for us and they did a magnificent job! They know the venue and understand the expectations as they are there A LOT catering. We were able to set up a buffet on both ends of the barn along with the cupcakes. This kept things spread out and no one was waiting a lifetime to get their food. The entrance was perfect to decorate with pictures, an in-memory section and gifts/cards area. We were able to order our linens through the venue, so that was 1 thing checked off my list that I didn't need to worry about. DECORATIONS!! They have TONS!!! We saved so much money because we didn't have to buy decorations. Little Brook has ample amounts of items that you choose from and they put it all away at the end of the night so they stay organized, so that is one less thing you have to worry about. Our DJ had his own station near the bar and everything worked out perfectly and presented beautifully. I honestly can't think of anything that I disliked about this venue and the staff. We continue to receive compliments about everything, as it all went smoothly and everyone was able to have fun! The bartender was a lot of fun and so nice! We loved being able to bring in our own drinks, as this is a huge money saver as well. The wedding coordinator knows what she is doing and I'm blessed to have worked with her at the venue! She is there for the bride and groom to make sure everything is on the straight and narrow. Before the wedding day, we met and talked about our expectations and the venues. She listens and makes the day exactly how the bride and groom want it to go (within guidelines). She helped with with the All Seated chart that made it super easy to formulate a seating chart for all of the guests and this helped to make sure tables, chairs etc. were all set up perfectly for when we did our set up with the decorations! Herself and the owner are the women behind the scenes making sure the day goes smoothly! I can't thank Little Brook Meadows and the staff enough for such a wonderful experience and we are beyond happy that we chose to have our wedding and reception at this venue!!

Therese is a super nice and helpful person! She took us on a tour of both the house and the barn several times so that we could make up our minds. Don’t get me wrong, Therese is awesome but when it comes to getting your contract, she couldn’t send it to me. The first contract that I received only had us renting the barn when we told her that we would like to rent the house for 2 nights and the barn. The second contract I received had us renting the house but only for one night. They were willing to be super flexible with the date due to my fiancé potentially being deployed. So there had to be a written clause in the contract that we could move our date if we needed based on his military service. Therese assures is that this was all ok and would be taken care of. The contract that she sent me did not have any wording about what we had discussed. Finally I thought that I had got everything on the right track and all of the details worked out. I requested a contract and I was never sent one. As for the facility, the barn is beautiful but it has a very musty smell that I couldn’t get past. There is no air condition in the barn but they use huge industrial fans that are super loud. She tried to explain to us that among people and the DJ that we wouldn’t hear the fans. While this might be true, what are we supposed to do about the poor guests being blown away who are sitting by those huge fans!? The house is a very old Victorian style and everything looks original. It also has a musty smell that is off putting. Finally, we got some dirty looks from some of the grounds people while pulling in to arrive for our tours. My fiancé’s mother arrived first and met us there. As she pulled in she received several dirty looks from people working there. When we went for this tour the grass on the front lawn was dead as could be. They had a small sprinkler out trying to water the grass but it was only watering a small circle of the whole entire lawn. This I found really off putting because who wants dead crunchy grass on their wedding day?! Overall it’s not a terrible place but just not for us. I felt like there were too many worries that I could potentially end up dealing with on the day of the wedding.

After searching for a wedding and reception venue we stumbled upon Little Brook Meadows. It was quite the find for us. It checked all the boxes and they were very helpful from the get go. During all the recent uncertainties they have stuck by my daughters side and guided her. No detail was left and everything was buttoned ups nicely. The wedding was perfect and a day we won't forget. Thanks in large part to Therese, the owner and Sue the on-site wedding planner. Sue is there the entire wedding day and is there to see you off in the evening as she and event staff do the clean up. I would definitely choose this location again. Do yourself a favor, schedule a tour and feel the magic.

After searching for a wedding and reception venue we stumbled upon Little Brook Meadows. It was quite the find for us. It checked all the boxes and they were very helpful from the get go. During all the recent uncertainties they have stuck by my daughters side and guided her. No detail was left and everything was buttoned ups nicely. The wedding was perfect and a day we won't forget. Thanks in large part to Therese, the owner and Sue the on-site wedding planner. Sue is there the entire wedding day and is there to see you off in the evening as she and event staff do the clean up. I would definitely choose this location again. Do yourself a favor, schedule a tour and feel the magic.

I scheduled a tour with the venue and confirmed the date and time. My Fiances parents had made a special trip from out of state to tour. My family arrived 15 minutes early to the appointment and no one was on site for our appointment. We waited for roughly 35 minutes after the initial appointment time and no one showed up. After leaving I messaged them directly to express my disappointment regarding our missed visit and did not receive a response back. I must say that I am incredibly disappointed in the lack of communicate and the fact that my Fiances parents made a special trip for nothing.

I cannot say enough about Little Brook Meadows in this short review. In addition to the beautiful venue, Therese and Sue were both so helpful in making our wedding weekend stress free! Being able to pick our caterer, bring in our own drinks, and having tons of decor to pick from for our decorations made everything perfect. We could not have been more happy with our choice of having our reception at Little Brook Meadows. Our family and wedding party also stayed in the house which was VERY convenient for everyone.

I cannot say enough good things about this venue. It is beautiful inside, clean, and comes with a lot of added benefits. This venue is absolutely gorgeous! I had SO many compliments on how great the barn was and how much everyone loved all of the decor. They have so much rustic themed decor that you can use (included in the price!) that I barely had to buy anything! This venue is absolutely gorgeous! I had SO many compliments on how great the barn was and how much everyone loved all of the decor. They have so much rustic themed decor that you can use (included in the price!) that I barely had to buy anything! Therese and Sue and the whole crew were so helpful and so accommodating throughout the whole process. I can't thank them enough for helping to make my special day so perfect!

Recently used this venue for our 8/12 wedding and man did we have a perfect day with the perfect venue! We had so many compliments on the decorations and Little Brook provided everything we needed/wanted and more! Very picturesque place for photos and memories to last a lifetime! We had a day of coordinator that was easy to work with and helped everything run smoothly! This venue helped make the wedding of my dreams and more!

Little Brook Meadows had everything I needed. The staff was so fun and easy to work with. You get a wedding planner and access to decorations/table/chairs when you book with them. The day of setup, if we realized we needed anything else, we could just get it from their storage. We got many compliments from guests about how beautiful the venue was. There were lots of great places for pictures. Easy to get to, spacious, and owned by great people who care about making your day special!

Little Brook Meadows was the perfect venue for my wedding. The owners and staff are all very helpful and kind! It is definitely DIY, so if that's what you're looking for, look no further! They even have some of their own decorations that you can use on your big day, which saved me a lot of $$ in the long run. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone looking for a beautiful rustic wedding!

We loved Little Brook Meadows! The barn is gorgeous - white lanterns, tulle with white lights, cement floors, rustic barn walls, old horse stalls to use as kid's room/photo room/bar. It really doesn't require much decorating. We also rented the house on the property. It too is gorgeous. We used the house for the rehearsal dinner and getting ready the morning of the wedding. There are great photo opportunities in the house. The wedding coordinator and owners are all very nice and helpful. We received many compliments on the venue from our guests. Little brook meadows was the perfect barn wedding venue! The first thing that captured our attention were these huge white lights hanging from the ceiling that are there for everyone! They have a huge open floor, unlike other barns that have the wood pillars breaking the room up. Along the side walls they use the stables for a kids room, photo booth, drinks, and so on. The only tricky part is the room is a long rectangle so there's not many options on how to set the room up. They also provide beautiful props free to use! However, there's a few props that you have to rent. Included in your rental price, little brook provides a day of coordinator that also meets with you a couple times before. At the end of our night, the owner stopped by just to see how our wedding came out and surprised us with a cute hand painted sign of the venue and our wedding date!

We got married this past July and after looking at several locations in Lancaster and Columbus, OH I fell in love with this place based on the pictures (I was looking for something more outdoor/rustic and this was perfect). I feel even more in love with the place after seeing it first hand. Everything looks perfect in this place (barely any need to decorate since it's already set-up with lighting, etc.). Our guests could not stop gushing at how magical and beautiful it is. Who doesn't want to party in a barn (there are stalls set up for a kid area, photo booth, etc.)? This place is decorated so well (and don't worry it's wired very well to have multiple vendors).\rThe owner of this place is very kind and helpful, I would imagine as the years go by this place will book up over a year in advance since it's somewhat new in the past three years. The coordinator that is part of the contract is wonderful. She is very thoughtful, detail-oriented, and makes sure everything goes smoothly for you the day of (I didn't see her until the end of the night). I highly recommend them!!!

Meet the Little Brook Meadows Team
Therese Ryckman (Owner) My husband and I, the parents of 4 daughters purchased this property in 2008. One of our daughters was getting married shortly afterwards and couldn't find a venue that fit them. They wanted to use the barn, our initial answer was NO. They prodded us and we agreed. We did a full makeover in 4 months. The wedding and reception was a huge success. Right after their wedding we started getting calls to use the venue and that is when to decided to update with some modern amenities. Couples, their families and friends have loved using this venue and it has been a pleasure hosting them.
