John Kinman(other)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-11-2022 Our daughter's wedding was in November. The beauty and magic of this venue come from the architecture, the grounds, and the invited guests who help you celebrate. BUT that’s where it stops…-\tDuring the initial tour, they treated us like we were valued customers. All of that changed after signing the contract and paying the deposit. The staff called and texted several times to ask the same questions that had previously been answered multiple times. We booked the venue exactly 12 weeks before the wedding date, so the planning phase was short and they still couldn’t keep our file organized. They generally seemed uninterested and unprofessional.-\tAlso during the initial tour, the carriage house was set up for an event, and we were told that everything was included with the package price. However, during the planning meeting (which Fabiola was 30 minutes late for), the candle holder centerpieces were all of a sudden $25 per centerpiece to rent. The signed contract never stated anything about rentals, and there was not an itemized rental pricing sheet in the contract or in any of the follow-on correspondence. The cross in the ballroom/chapel was also a major item shown in the “all-inclusive” tour and was the deciding factor for our daughter when she chose this venue. The cross was not set up at the rehearsal the day before the wedding, and when we asked about it, we were met with rude remarks and informed that it is a rental item. Also, one of the employees, Keesha, was unprofessional during our rehearsal and was also rude to several guests on the day of the wedding.- We paid for meals for 131 guests. At the last moment, 39 people were unable to attend due to illnesses and other various reasons. This was $1483.05 (before the added tax and service charges) worth of food that we paid for and were not given the opportunity to donate to a homeless shelter or give away at our discretion. During dinner service, multiple guests overheard the service staff say they were taking all of our extra food home with them. This is absolutely unbelievable! -\tAfter the cake cutting, the staff took the cake to the kitchen for cutting and guest service. Upon returning from the sparkler send-off at 10:00, both wedding cakes as well as the hand-painted cookie favors were nowhere to be found. I assume the staff took those home as well. We came inside with almost two hours to spare before needing to be out of the venue, and all of the cake was gone!-\tMost of our guests complained that the staff continuously removed food and drink items from the tables, even if they were mostly full. Guests had to make several unnecessary trips to get more drinks. Service was terrible!-\tThe contract states that a uniformed sheriff’s deputy is required to be on the grounds for security. There was no security officer at this event, which is required because alcohol was being served.-\tFor the bridal resort package where the couple stays the night, one employee remains on the grounds for the night for safety reasons…understandable if there's a separate space for the person to stay. But this man was out in the hall and spent the night in the room directly across from the bridal resort bedroom, which made the wedding night awkward and not romantic at all. Also, the bride and groom said the bed was extremely uncomfortable.- If you're still not deterred, all of this and more can be yours for a hefty price of over $17,000! Reviewed on 02-12-2022

Samantha Reed(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-11-2021 Our wedding was held during the venue's transition to new management. That transition was not communicated to us until the last minute by the old owners and led to some confusion, that's the only reason for my 4 star review. Once we got introduced and familiar with Fabiola and the new staff at Lone Star Mansion, they were great during our big day in November! We had an issue with our alcohol vendor and they went above and beyond to help, even though the mistake had nothing to do with them. They were extremely solutions oriented in helping us find work arounds so that the flow of our reception wasn't interrupted. The service that my husband and I received during the reception was fantastic as well. The wedding day is such a whirlwind and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed from saving us some of the lamb lollipops at our cocktail hour to ensuring our champagne glasses were never empty during the reception. Between the service level and the amazing beauty of the location, I would highly recommend the Lone Star Mansion for your wedding! Reviewed on 28-12-2021

Madison Conway(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-04-2017 How can I rate them higher?! LSM helped us have our dream wedding (that I wish I could relive everyday). We got married this past April. The forecast could not have looked any worse, but the LSM crew helped to calm any fears and woes I had. Having a stunning backup indoor option made this the perfect venue for planning a spring wedding in Texas. I honestly could not have imagined our day going any smoother. Tigi kept the whole day in line and ensured that we didn't miss a beat. The entire crew and staff was extremely courteous and helpful. Their in house catering was also great. We went with the Italian buffet option, and our guest raved about it! Tigi is also such a blessing to have. I decided to not get a wedding planner, but I didn't even need it because Tigi was so helpful. She was able to give great recommendations, answer all my crazy questions, and also just keep me calm through the whole process. This team really thinks of everything- including champagne and wedding cake waiting in the honeymoon suite! I would highly recommend this venue to anyone who wants a beautiful, elegant, southern wedding. Reviewed on 03-10-2017
Jane Kim(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-09-2017 Booking the Lone Star Mansion to host our wedding was the BEST decision we made during the entire planning process. The venue is S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G. As soon as we drove up the winding driveway through the canopy of greenery to expose a majestic mansion with picturesque fountain in front, we knew it was the one. If you want a \"wow-factor\" wedding, this is the place for you. It is classic and traditional, but really just a clean slate to decorate and make your own. And if the beautifully maintained and curated grounds were not enough, the customer service that is provided by Tigi and Sara are TOP NOTCH. I cannot stress this enough. They are the sweetest people to work with but also extremely professional: they answered all of my questions and were an integral part of our wedding day by orchestrating the timeline and details to perfection. Having someone you can trust to make sure everything is going smoothly is a HUGE part of your wedding day as you do not want to be worrying about the tiny details - you want to be focused on getting married and all of those great emotions! If I had to re-plan my wedding, I would choose to get married at Lone Star Mansion again and again as it really is the perfect venue. Reviewed on 03-10-2017
Becky Richmond(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-08-2017 Deciding to have our wedding at Lone Start Mansion was one of the best decisions we made during our wedding planning! Tigi was extremely responsive and helpful and the venue was absolutely gorgeous. The guys loved the groomsmen suite and we received endless complements from guests on how beautiful the venue was and how good the food was. I also felt like the package that we purchased was very reasonably priced for everything that we got. Sometimes wedding venues that offer packages that include food, drinks, and a day of coordinator can feel restrictive. Almost as if you're picking off a list pre-planned weddings. One of the reasons we chose Lone Star is that they offered packages that made planning convenient but they still allowed for us to customize everything without up charging us. We sat down with the chef and planned our menu from scratch and were allowed to buy our own alcohol resulting in a truly unique food and drink menu. If you're looking for a mansion style venue I absolutely recommend Lone Star! Reviewed on 23-09-2017
Charis Sarradet(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-03-2017 I had a FANTASTIC experience with the Lonestar Mansion. The venue was gorgeous, the service was great, and the fact that there were so many services built in was a lifesaver. I worked with Tigi Vinson the majority of the time and she was amazing! Tigi was so helpful and positive throughout our engagement and the planning process and was the one who kept everything together on our wedding day. She answered all of my questions very quickly (and I had many). She did a great job creating a schedule and reception floorplan for us. She was wonderful day of when she helped guide us through our wedding day schedule. I would not have even thought about cutting the cake or doing toasts if it wasn't for her! She helped gently keep us on track while giving us the opportunity to have a great time. All of the little details were taken care of flawlessly, down to the small things that I would never have thought of. The food at our reception was incredible. We chose Italian, so I can't speak for any of the other meals the chef provides, but ours was fantastic. We had so many compliments on the food, and the groom and I both agreed it was delicious. I was very impressed with the quality of the food considering it was made for 200 people. Our wedding day really could not have been more perfect - looking back there is really nothing I would have changed, and nothing at all went wrong. This was in large part due to the Lonestar Mansion and everything they did for us. I HIGHLY recommend Lonestar Mansion! Reviewed on 17-05-2017
Cait C(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-04-2016 I think if I booked this venue now, it would definitely get 5 stars. I booked in 2015 for a 2016 wedding and booked with the old management (prior to Sara and Tigi) and this caused some initial ups and downs, lots of tears and stress. The old management promised lots of things that ended up being lies, but Tigi was very upfront about the truth once she took over and did her best to fix things. 1) The reception area did not end up looking the way it was promised to us in pictures and design by the previous management. However, Tigi, our florist, photographer, band and other vendors did an amazing job saving the situation and making it beautiful. Our wedding was even featured on a national blog/magazine recently so they did a great job. I will say though, Tigi and Sara have renovated the carriage house now and it looks gorgeous and exactly how I wanted it on my wedding day. 2) Tigi and Sara are amazing. We still have people telling us (over 1 year later) that our wedding coordinator Tigi was so organized and on top of everything. Given the initial rough start with previous management, Tigi allowed my mom and I to visit the venue multiple times throughout the year (and sometimes even show up unannounced) so we could think about the flow of the wedding day, decorations, etc. In my experience, she returned phone calls, emails and texts quickly and always tried to make me feel better after the rough start. I would highly recommend this venue given the new management and especially with all the renovations. I wish I could relive the day all over again. Reviewed on 13-05-2017

Beth McElhannon(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-07-2016 Where to start with Lone Star? My husband and I decided last minute to go visit after finding the Mansion on the knot. We thought we had already decided on a venue but wanted to check one last venue incase. I'm a wedding photographer in the DFW area and I wanted something I hadn't seen yet. I had no idea this venue was in the area! As soon as I emailed I got a response quickly from Sara with availability to visit. Myles and I fell in love. It's a wedding photography dream to say the least. We were looking for a space that 1) had a nice backup rain ceremony area incase of bad weather- check. 2) allowed us to come early and get ready 3) had an amazing ceremony area- oak tree- bing bing bing!! Yep, we changed our venue to LSM. We booked when they had the overnight package so we were able to stay in the bridal suite the night of the wedding. Tigi & Sara were so perfect. They answered any questions we had via email as soon as we emailed. Tigi was the sweetest with our wedding party (of 24 plus some!) and they allowed us to have my brother's great dane as the ring bearer. Outside of course. The whole day was a dream. We were able to spend lots of time in the groomsmen and bridal suite before the wedding just relaxing with our favorite people and soaking up the day. Sara made us breakfast the next morning and helped us load all the last minute things into our cars. They have turned into close friends and that's not the last time I will see them. We received so many compliments on the food and the overall atmosphere. Our guests felt at home and said there was more than enough space for every guest. The main house is so perfect. The bridal suite has every amenity that you can think of. The groom's suite is a serious man cave. Our wedding party was very well taken care of. My husband and I had another venue booked, but once we stepped foot inside the mansion, we knew Lonestar Mansion was the one for us. Tigi, Sarah, and the rest of the staff were amazing, they treated us like family. Tigi and Sarah answered any questions I had in such a timely manner. Not only are they great coordinators, they also know the best vendors. Every vendor recommended by Sarah and Tigi were reasonable, professional , and all top rated. The day of the wedding went on without a hitch. Tigi and Sarah made sure the wedding ran timely but also allowed my husband and I to have as much one on one time with each other as we needed. Most of my guest spoke highly about Lonestar Mansion, but so many of our guest gushed about the food. The food was fresh, moist, with plenty of options. It's a great feeling when your guests speak highly about the food. I would recommend all brides and grooms to visit Lonestar Mansion. You will not be disappointed. Jennifer Jassawalla(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-05-2016 Although my wedding ended up working out here, I had a lot of ups and downs with them that I feel like I'd have wanted to know about. We booked 13 months in advance with the previous management/staff. When we booked, it was implied to me that they would be able to provide long rectangular tables and tablecloths (Harry Potter style with tables going the length of the room and 1 head table perpendicular to the rest). Several months after booking, their management changed and Tigi was my new point of contact. As soon as Tigi found out my expectations she alerted me that they didn't have those tables or tablecloths and hence they weren't able to provide them. For me to get the look I wanted, I either needed to shell out another grand with a rental company or find a new venue with only 6 months left till our date. We opted for working with a rental company but I was very upset. For the cost of this venue, I felt like I had been led to believe that something I was very excited about (the table settings) was going to be included and instead I was forced to spend a pretty penny to get it. To their credit, the venue did set up the rentals at no charge. Another snafu happened when the bartender that the Mansion required you to use stopped returning my calls. I left them several emails and phone calls and alerted the Mansion to this problem twice before the Mansion gave me a secondary vendor that I could use. By using the bartender as a required vendor for a service, you're vouching for them and they were terrible. On the actual day of the wedding, Tigi and Sara, the new General Manager, were there as day of coordinators. They were very helpful although hard to find at times. We had an emergency where the arch rental company claimed they didn't receive payment and weren't sending an arch and the Mansion was able to buy an arch and put it together in time for the florist to decorate it before the ceremony (of course, at an additional cost). I feel like a lot of the add-on costs were nickel-and-diming you but it's your wedding and you're going to shell out to get your dream. They do require you to use their florist and caterer. The florist is her own company so I'll review her there (The Elegant Petal). The catering was good. The food was solid, some dishes better than others. The soup was impeccable (highly recommend the lobster bisque). The wait staff (plated courses) was slow and inaccurate. They didn't know who ordered what ever though there was assigned seating and the Mansion had that information. Many guests complained that they got their food mixed up with someone else's. I heard servers asking guests what they ordered and guests who RSVP'd over a month ago just don't remember that kind of information, especially if they ordered for kids too. All around, I think their wait staff could use improvement. They also threw out 1 tier (my favorite tier) of cake since they didn't have cake boxes and my cake company apparently hadn't provided them. It seems like something they should keep on hand just in case. The Mansion package includes the night there for the bride and grooms, breakfast and a 1 hour massage (divided between the 2 of you) in the morning. The bed was comfortable, the breakfast simple but tasty, and the massage was very good (my husband gave me the hour). They did gift you a large bottle of champagne in the room and they sent up a slice of each kind of cake for us since we requested that. All in all, seemed mediocre for the price. Amanda Langford(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 11-07-2015 I had my ceremony and reception at the Lonestar Mansion on July 11th, 2015. I am torn about what to write on this review because although my wedding was above and beyond my expectations, it was tough to get there. I had booked over a year in advance, and in that time the staff changed quite a few times. This caused things to be extremely chaotic and unorganized. A few of the staff members, Michael and Liz, were extremely rude to me and my family at times. Leading up to the wedding I didn't really know how everything would turn out. I even had to speak to the owner about how I was being treated. However, the last on site coordinator, Sara, helped to make my wedding day go so smoothly. She was absolutely amazing. If it wasn't for her the whole day could have been a disaster. It was more than I ever dreamed of and people went on and on about how gorgeous the venue was. My advice is that you do not book here unless Sara will be apart of your wedding day. If Sara is there, you are in GREAT hands. Reviewed on 09-08-2015
Karla Berry(bride)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-03-2015 The venue is beautiful however our event was ruined by animals (skunks & racoons). We stayed the night before & couldnt sleep due to the alarm system beeping ALL NIGHT. When we called Michael, he said he'd come the next morning to turn off the fuse to the alarm but there was nothing more he could do because the house didnt have an alarm, so there wasnt a company to call. That same night, we were invaded by a family of racoons (or something) who wanted to run a marathon across the attic. We didnt get any sleep the night before the wedding & the next morning Michael simoly laughed & said, he turned off the fuse & would report the rodent problem. The night after the wedding (our honeymoon) the house was sprayed by skunks. My wedding dress & all of our belongings smelled strongly of skunk. Michael arrived Sunday morning & said \"thats country life.\" When I reported this to upper management, (Jed) although responsive, he offers no remorse. There are excuse, after excuse. I asked for return of our deposit & he is denying we ever paid one, even though our contract states that we did, the person we orginally worked with (Jake) was \"fired for fraudulant activity\" according to Michael, so now Jed is not honoring our agreement with his employee. Its a Brides NIGHTMARE!! Beautiful, yes...service, HORRIBLE, UNPROFESSIONAL & you are treated as if you did something wrong to them when clearly every bride & groom deserves rest the night before there wedding, a decent honeymoon w/o smelling like skunks & a return on their deposit, regardless of what you THINK was or wasnt done on behalf of a \"fraud/termed employee.\" I DO NOT RECOMMEND simply because if something goes wrong, there is no responsibilty, you are treated very poorly and made to feel as if they owe you nothing to accomodate you. To date, this isnt resolved because managemnent is only willing to accept responsibility for things they assumed happened, yet they were not there & want to believe their staff. They are overlooking the fact that our honeymoon was also ruined by skunks, I was sick after the fact and EVERYTHING we brought with us REEKED of skunk. A wedding is a ONCE IN A LIFETIME event, we cant get our rehersal night or honeymoon back. Thanks...for ruining it & only offering to pay for one nights stay-the night before the wedding. What a JOKE!. (We were married on 3/14/15.) Reviewed on 01-05-2015
Katie Lindeman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-10-2014 I would highly recommend the lone star mansion to any bride and groom looking for a more unique venue and that provides all inclusive packages. When I first started looking at venues I knew I didn't want to get married in a church or chapel I was looking for either a mansion or a hotel ballroom. When I came across the Lonestar first thing was the location , most venues this high in class are in down town Dallas . The mansion is located in Burlison Texas, I live in Ft worth so I was so glad to find something I wanted That was close and you would never expect to find a venue like this in Burleson .. It's like Burleson Texas hidden secret. I had three venues in mind the Lone Star was one of them and are first stop after the tour of the Manison me and my now husband were sold.. I member him saying.. Will take it lol and of course I was ecstatic. The vendor list they offer are all top notch and if you want a different vendor or take something out of the package completely you're able to I love the flexibility of that. But really you won't need to find a different vendor they are an amazing team and because of that the flow of everything goes extremely well the actually mansion staff is amazing Laurel is the best, she treats you as if you were friends not just someone renting the venue out. The Chef Tom is a awesome cook.... Basically any food you want he can make and it's all high quality. I'm so happy I chose the Lonestar mansion and I think this is the absolute perfect venue if you want a very elegant classy wedding that no guest will forget the beauy of it on your wedding night or day, mansion staff and vendors wouldn't have it any other way. More and more mansion venues are popping up but this one will stand out form the rest. We also got the pleasure of meeting the owners who are husband and wife they were there for our wedding and they were also a huge help on the wedding day I never seen owners of a place like this be so hands on. The wife actually was the one that turned down are bed for the evening and layed out the most beautifl white rose on our bedside. The little touches just make it all the better :) The venues is drop dead gorgeous the staff is amazing the vendors are top notch and they all work together as a team to make the bride and groom have the wedding of there dreams.
