Hop aboard the White Mountain Express Gondola and take in the 360-degree views of Franconia Ridge and the Pemigewasset River. Loon Mountain Resort offers both Gold and Platinum packages for your special occasion. The Platinum option comes with floor-length white or ivory linens and matching napkins. Dinner begins with the choice of a mixed green salad, a classic Caesar, or an Autumn salad. This is followed by the main course, from which you also have an assortment of selections. These include sirloin steak topped with shrimp and scallions in béarnaise sauce, lobster stuffed with filet mignon, grilled swordfish, and more. The venue team will work with you to customize your wedding to your preferences and ensure a spectacular night.
If you are even considering this venue, BOOK IT. Loon has always been close to our heart and the first time we ever even saw the ceremony site at the amphitheater we both knew we would get married there. Having our ceremony in front of the white mountain landscape was truly magical. It felt surreal. We were thankfully blessed with good weather but we have been up there when it’s drizzly and it is still just as stunning. We have heard from so many guests what a unique and special wedding this was for them as it feels like an adventure taking the gondola up the mountain and being able to take in the scenery that way as well. Every part of having our wedding there was easy and smooth. Our coordinator Conor, was one of the most laid back, easiest people to work with. He was always easy to talk to and get ahold of. Information was straight forward and easy to understand and he was always able to clarify if needed. He was very flexible during our weekend moving things around to better coordinate our schedules. He made the day of so smooth and alleviated any concerns I had for flow of the day. I felt like I truly just got to enjoy our day together and I didn’t worry about a single thing. The other staff at loon were all so kind and very professional. You aren’t able to do a food tasting but I tell you, no complaints from a single person. The food came in big portions and was downright delicious! This was a worry for my husband, naturally, so please don’t be stressed about the food you will not be disappointed. I wish I could relive the whole weekend again, I seriously wouldn’t change a thing and I highly recommend planning your big day here. Reviewed on 03-12-2023

Linzy French(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-08-2022 There are not enough positive words in the dictionary to describe how perfect my time at Loon was. We started our tours with Kristina last year and we knew right away that this was the most perfect, unique location for us to be married. The mountaintop amphitheater is breathtaking, and the venue is fairly all inclusive in terms of tables, chairs, linens, etc., which is something I was looking for. Tony was our assigned planner for the day of and could not have been kinder and more professional. I sent him approximately 947 emails leading up to the big day, each which was answered promptly and supportively. I dropped off all my decorations and table settings the day before and they were all handled and set up exactly how I had envisioned. On the day of, disaster struck, and rain and thunderstorms deluged the area. We pushed a decision from 11 am, to 2 pm, to 3:30 pm. I was of course, devastated, and frantic, but Tony and Kristina provided the support that I needed the entire day. They encouraged me to go through with the outdoor ceremony and low and behold, at 4 PM on the dot, the rain stopped, and we were able to ride the gondola up and have the mountaintop ceremony of our dreams. I am literally tearing up writing this because everyone on the staff were so supportive and thoughtful, from Tony to Kristina to Emily at the bar and Ben who provided support, the GM, and the servers. We weren’t able to tour venues but knew we wanted to get married in the mountains because we are avid hikers and snowboarders. We ended up booking our wedding at Loon before we ever saw the venue. We were truly impressed with the whole process. We started the process working with Erin as our coordinator, and then Tony took over as our coordinator. We also got to work with Kristina as well. Everyone was great! They answered our questions in a timely manner (we had many!) and were so easy to work with every step of the way. The day of the ceremony was absolutely spectacular. Tony and his staff really made everything so easy for us, all we had to do was relax and spend the time with our friends and family. We can’t say enough about the beauty of the venue, ceremony and reception site. It rained just about the whole weekend we were there, but the clouds cleared in time for the ceremony! When we first met Kristina, we were also nervous about how young she is, but she quickly gave us peace f mind after meeting her! She was absolutely amazing to work with and went above and beyond for us, including special ordering a bottle of wine from the winery we were engaged at. We had booked Loon Mountain Resort for the ceremony site at the mountain summit and for how much was included in the simple, per-person price structure. Though Mother Nature didn’t cooperate and we couldn’t see 15 feet off the balcony at the ceremony, we were lucky to still be able to have our ceremony at the summit in heavy fog, everything was still beautiful. Erika Hapke(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-10-2021 I would encourage anyone and everyone who has ever thought about a mountaintop wedding in New England to check out Loon. We had looked at half a dozen venues; from historic homes to sprawling estates to farms and public parks. We knew we wanted something romantic, nature-forward, and beautiful. On a whim my partner suggested this ski resort his father used to take him and his brothers to when they were young. We drove a few hours north from Boston and while I'd never even considered a ski resort as a venue, I fell instantly in love. It was the gondolas. You ride fifteen minutes up the mountain in a quiet gondola, nestled in the beautiful foliage, before getting to the awe-inspiring summit looking out over the entire White Mountain range. We both knew we'd found our spot. When we sat down to review their packages we were floored at how relatively inexpensive it was - no venue fees, just a price per plate for their in-house catering with options from $100-150 pp! It included private use of their beautiful lodge for the reception, a day-of (really month-of) coordinator, food, appetizers, servers, a full bar, set up and break down, and the mountaintop ceremony. Of course, this was all pre-covid. We'd planned on an event of about 100 people on a Sunday (to save money) for the fall of 2020. When covid hit, we decided fairly early to pull the trigger and postpone a full year. The folks at Loon were unbelievably accommodating. They let us choose any date in 2021 and didn't charge us a penny to postpone - in fact, they let us UPGRADE to a Saturday at the Sunday price. They grandfathered in our rates. Let us upgrade to plated meals for safety at the buffet price. And then, just to really blow my mind, as the new date approached and it was clear we were going to be far below the 100 person minimum, they lowered our contracted minimum to 80, saving us literally thousands of dollars just because. I will never be able to thank them for their generosity. We paid $500 to stay an extra hour for late-night snacks. Reviewed on 07-11-2021

We got married on Loon on October 2nd, which it actually started to rain right as our ceremony ended. The staff provided a massive table of umbrellas in case anybody needed one! Steffany Gallant(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-08-2021 We cannot say enough good things about our experience with Loon Mountain being our wedding venue! The whole team was so helpful and thoughtful throughout the entire process. From our initial \"research\" phase to the day-of and beyond, the whole team has been amazing. Tony coordinated with us until a little over a month before our wedding, and then he assigned us our day-of coordinator, Kristina. Kristina was the biggest help that last month as we neared the finish line - she was so kind and was available to answer all of our many questions. She worked with us through every detail to make sure we had the perfect day planned. When we met the team in person for the rehearsal, they were even more fabulous in-person. Kristina, Patrick, and the rest of the team walked us through the final meeting and then rehearsal which put us at ease knowing that we were going to have the perfect day. We were a bit nervous about the fact they don't do taste-testing for the menu beforehand, but we decided to trust the reviews. Loon did not disappointed. All of the appetizers, dinner, and drinks were delicious. We had the Loon Mountain Sirloin and the Bruschetta Chicken for our entrees, and they were divine. Everyone loved the food, so trust that their kitchen knows what they are doing! One of the nicest touches the team put in for us was that they asked us at the rehearsal which apps we wanted and what our first drink order would be. Then, because we were taking pictures after the ceremony and missed cocktail hour, they had a plate of apps and our first drinks ready for us outside the reception when we stepped off the gondola. We got to have a few minutes to ourselves, eat apps, have a drink, and enjoy a moment with each other before heading into the reception. We loved that moment. The location of the ceremony and the reception venue were just magnificent. All of our guests loved the view and thoroughly enjoyed the gondola experience. You seriously cannot go wrong picking Loon for your wedding venue. Highly recommend in every single way! The only 'negative' part of our experience was that the COVID-19 restrictions gave us limited options of what to do with our table floor plan. Even so, Kristina worked with us to make sure we were happy with what we could do, and in the end, everything was perfect. Nicole Barta(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-09-2019 Our wedding with Loon significantly exceeded our expectations, we were absolutely thrilled with our experience! We picked Loon for many reasons including it's inclusiveness and complete management of the reception. It was important for us to host our wedding on one site, where people could stay and enjoy the surrounding area as well. During our first meeting we were provided specific details of Loon's wedding packages and were walked through all of the options without feeling pressured at any point. There were packages that seemed to fit everyone’s needs and the staff worked with us to accommodate all of our requests. The packages provided by Loon also include a lot of the ‘little things’ like chairs, linens, champagne toast, and assistance moving your guests from ceremony to reception, which was included in the price of the package. The final head count isn’t due until only days before the wedding to ensure the right number of meals are prepared. We had a few last minute changes that came up, and Loon easily accommodated. Loon does not do food tastings, although please rest assured the food is absolutely delicious and I will probably dream of that dinner for years. Part of booking with Loon includes being assigned a wedding coordinator who will assist you from day one of booking, to the Big Day. Our coordinator was Christian, who went above and well beyond the expectations that I had. We probably exchanged dozens of emails and phone calls with Christian in the months leading up to the wedding. Christian was always on top of everything, any emergency or issue was quickly resolved thanks to him. When we arrived a few days before the wedding we were introduced to three other people who were in charge of kitchen, servers, and an assistant for Christian throughout the day. During the wedding AND reception we also noticed how having a dedicated function staff allowed for an incredibly smooth execution. This is a very underestimated benefit of using a place that runs the wedding and the reception with a full staff dedicated to our special day. The entire process is incredibly well timed, and everyone is able to experience the wedding and reception without any travel or waiting between events. I formerly catered weddings large and small and I cannot stress enough how dysfunctional things can become when working within different venue spaces and with an unknown coordinator. Seeing the team at Loon in action and experiencing the other side of it first hand, I was beyond impressed with how well everything ran. The set up and take down of all of the decor is handled really well, you meet with the Loon staff the day before to go over what you brought and how it should be set up and they take care of it! The moms and a few others helped out as well but most of the set up was handled by staff. Take down is also handled and you just need to pick everything back up the next morning - no take down the night of! Overall, things could not have gone better for us. The team we worked with were A++, the venue was gorgeous, the food was absolutely amazing. The staff really works with you to make anything you want happen as long as it’s possible. We weren't able to, but we still got pictures at the mountain top and the wedding was SO MUCH FUN. The forms I had to fill out for Erin helped keep me on track of wedding planning. Emailing back and forth while planning the wedding occasionally got frustrating (probably because of my stress) and as soon as I expressed any frustration Erin was so helpful in resolving my concerns. She even gave me her cell number (that I never needed to use). We had a person with a severe allergy and Erin and the food service people were so helpful in making sure our guests food was prepared separately and provided an ingredients list for everything. Jayme arranged for us to have our flower center pieces set up in the lodge the day before since we transported our own flowers. We also worked with Jayme to have our rehearsal dinner at the Common Man. On the day of the wedding he put everyone as ease and kept everyone very organized. It was my dream to get married on the top of a mountain. I had looked at other ski areas but they just were not up to par. Loon was very easy to work with. The all-inclusive nature of Loon’s wedding venue and the limited decision making was key in choosing it for a wedding venue therefore avoiding the stress of making too many decisions. Jayme was on top of everything while also having a very calm presence and making us feel at ease on our big day. He also was very helpful and accommodating throughout the planning process, regardless of what we threw at him! :) The entire staff was professional and made sure our elderly family members were able to attend the ceremony without a worry. We really wanted our guests to have a unique, memorable experience at our wedding and with this venue we certainly accomplished that! Erin Blackstock(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-07-2018 We got married on Loon Mountain in July. It was absolutely beautiful and a wonderful experience. I simply cannot say enough positive things about this venue. Alex, our coordinator was incredible. The staff as whole made the day go perfectly and smoothly - I didn't have to worry about a thing. It was great working with them throughout the planning process. The ceremony site is gorgeous - many guests saying it was the most beautiful wedding they had been to and it was the reason we chose the venue. The reception was great! The staff decorated the venue just as I had imagined - and it really didn't need much decoration given the amazing backdrop. People raved about the food. The outdoor space was a lot of fun - we brought corn hole and people moved in and out all night long. Overall we loved it! Thank you Alex and Loon! Reviewed on 22-08-2018
Abbie Dore(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-07-2018 My husband and I chose loon for so many reasons and we couldn’t be happier with our special day. Loon is one of our favorite spots to snowboard, but our summer wedding day at loon was even better. Our wedding coordinators, Alex and Alison were more than helpful throughout the whole process. From constant questions, punctual quick replies, to knowledgeable feedback, we were definitely less stressed knowing we had them them fall back on. We had guests compliment on how smooth and organized everything went from the rehearsal to the ceremony all the way til the end of the night - so helpful! The weather and views at the top of loon on our wedding was absolutely breathtaking. It’s not everyday you have the white mountain backdrop which makes for wonderful pictures. The guests loved the scenic gondola ride up - we loved the bench seating and how it was an incline so everyone could see. The venue itself was exactly was we pictured and we also had a lot of flexibility with decor and options for things which was great! We did the buffet option for dinner and it was delicious! We can’t wait to back to loon on the trail we got married at - We HIGHLY recommend this wedding venue! Reviewed on 13-08-2018

Although it rained (hard!) during the ceremony at the top of the mountain, Stacy and her team worked hard to make sure everyone had a great time all the same! They provided all of our guests with umbrellas and kept the atmosphere light and fun. It was an unbelievable day. You cannot beat the view from the top of the gondola, and the reception venue is perfect for a great party! I was very busy the day of and had minimal time to stop into the reception venue and make sure everything was set up, but when I arrived post-ceremony everything looked so good! The food was excellent; I had many guests with food allergies and Stacy and the chefs were very accommodating to meet all of their needs. We even needed to make a last minute change to one of our appetizers and they handled it with ease. Thank you all for an awesome wedding day; it wouldn't have been so perfect without you! Stacy was our coordinator for the venue, and she was always very communicative, super helpful and accommodating and reassuring from the day we booked the venue throughout the night of the wedding! She really went above and beyond for us, taking time on a day off to show me and my mom the venue for a second time as well. The whole staff at Loon was excellent, and helped us to have such an amazing wedding. (Also shout out to Alex who assisted in our rehearsal and carted us around from the lodge to the river for photos!) Unfortunately, we had the bad luck of a thunderstorm rolling through right before guests started showing up which shut down the gondola and forced us to have both the ceremony and reception in the Octagon Lodge. The staff was great and tried to hold off on canceling going up the mountain as long as they could, but it just wasn't to be. I have no regrets though, it was still beautiful to me even in the Lodge. Eventually the skies cleared during the reception so we still got to enjoy the outdoor patio area. Besides this, everything else went off without a hitch. The Lodge looked lovely, I didn't have to worry about anything the whole night and thoroughly enjoyed myself. The food was outstanding and we heard many rave reviews about it. (We had chosen the buffet package) All of our guests really enjoyed their time at Loon and we are so happy we had the wedding of our dreams regardless of weather! Reviewed on 10-08-2018

We chose to get married at St Joseph’s Church in town and than did pictures at the top of the mountain with our wedding party. Since we didn't do the ceremony at the mountain each guest got a voucher to recieve a ticket to the top of the mountain at somepoint throughout the weekend, which everyone loved! We worked with Alex and she was amazing, always available when we had questions or last minute issues/decisions to be made. The day of staff was also amazing setting everything up exactly how I envisioned it and taking care of the day without a hitch! One thing we were nervous about was not having a food tasting BUT nothing to worry about there...the food was top notch. We worked with Jayme, who was very informative, helped us with any questions we had over the previous year, and was very committed to getting us to the top for the ceremony despite the rainy weather predictions. For the ceremony: The gondola ride had incredible views, our guests were very impressed. It did rain a bit during the ceremony but staff were prepared with umbrellas. They had a clear umbrella for us to use and we have the most unbelievable pictures due to the storm clouds over the mountains. I loved how Jayme always felt confident that we would make it to the top because that was one of the main reasons we booked Loon Mountain. It stopped raining half way through the ceremony so we got to take some great pictures after the ceremony. For the reception: The reception was so much fun, we had multiple guests come tell us this was the best wedding they had ever been to. My husband and I, along with many of our guests, are vegans. Jayme and staff went above and beyond to accommodate our dietary preference. They created two separate vegan entrees for us (stuffed peppers and polenta with a white bean ragu) which were both very delicious. The waiters/bartenders were great and the set-up of the octagon lodge was perfect for a lot of dancing. It is also nice that they have the separate patio area so people can go outside to chat and relax. Overall it was an incredible wedding day and I would book Loon again in a heartbeat. Nick Molak(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-08-2017 The service from Loon is exceptional. Mother nature gave us a pretty tough day (which doesn’t happen often at Loon as they will pretty much do anything to have your ceremony at the top) and the staff went over and beyond helping us and it felt as though they were just as invested in our day as we were. I am 100% positive there are so many other behind the scenes duties Alex was coordinating as well that I am not aware of and I would recommend her to anyone because she was an important part of making our wedding day so nice.Due to the severe winds we could not make it to the top for our first look and they helped up find a location down by the river under a bridge so we were covered from rain, supplied a golf cart and the Loon bus to get our wedding party there so they didn’t have to trek through mud and rain. They also provided us a champagne toast as we waiting in the Bunyon room for the ceremony to start.Even though our ceremony was inside, it felt incredibly intimate and personal as we stood in the middle of the dance floor as our wedding party stood around the fireplace….and yes Adam was right , the thunder, lighting and rain came down right in the middle of our ceremony and it was the best choice for the overall wedding. The weather cleared up after dinner and all of the guests were outside enjoying the patio, smoking cigars, even seeing a black bear run by which was a highlight! We had a sparkler send off at the end of the night which was an awesome experience for our guests as well. Loon was more than accommodating helping us with this.Do not be worried or alarmed that they do not do a food tasting, you will be absolutely blown away! The food was delicious (prime rib and butternut squash ravioli were guests favorite) and we received so many compliments from guests who have attended very lavish weddings and they thought the buffet was amazing along with all the appetizers (spanakopita was the other guests favorite). We also had a cucumber vodka lemonade as our signature drink and the guests loved it so much that they ended up running out of cucumber vodka. Also I brought in probably about 7 giant plastic containers of decorations for the venue complete with my own candle votives, place cards with rosemary for each table setting, 22 hand written signs, polaroid photo booth backdrop and props, custom poster guestbook and a memory table. Between the Loon staff and my florist everything was step up beyond what I even envisioned.Lastly the other great aspect of the venue is having the hotel so close. This allowed 90% of our guests to stay at the wedding during the entire duration, we had food at the hotel bar for late night snacks and had a farewell breakfast in the pub as well. Not to mention Friday after the rehearsal all of our guests relaxing and enjoying cocktails by the pool prior to our rehearsal dinner. This venue truly encompasses a great “destination” wedding for us and giving our guests a little view into the awesomeness of NH! We would choose Loon all over again! Reviewed on 12-10-2017

Christine Nolan(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-09-2016 Where do I begin? Working with Loon Mountain was everything a bride could ask for and more. From the moment my husband and I visited Loon, we knew it was where we wanted to celebrate our wedding. Jill, Abby, and the Loon Mountain team made our entire wedding planning process (which, as everyone knows, is not all fun and games) go so smoothly. I worked primarily with Jill, who was so great about answering my dozens of questions. Jill was so patient and organized, not to mention incredibly sweet and friendly. She responded to everything I asked quickly and thoroughly. She made sure every detail was accounted for and everything occurred according to plan - from working with Abby to find rose petals for our flower girl when we discovered they were missing, to making my husband and I a to-go box of food at the end of the night. Thanks to Jill, Abby, and the entire Loon staff, we felt we could actually enjoy our wedding day! Additionally, Loon Mountain, as a venue, is incredible. The ceremony site, reception venue, tables and chairs, place settings, catering, champagne toast, and cake cutting are included as a package price. When my husband and I got engaged, we researched easily 30 venues over four states: not only was Loon the most gorgeous, but it was also the most affordable. What makes Loon so unique (apart from the stunning views and gondola ride, of course), is that it also offers a very high quality of service. The reception venue is beautiful, the staff are amazing and easy to work with, and the food was delicious - one of my friends kept raving that it was the best food he had ever had at a wedding. The Loon staff handled both set up and clean up, and worked with honesty and integrity. At the end of the night, we had so many people tell us that ours was the best wedding they had ever been to - which I think speaks volumes about Loon. It was a truly unforgettable experience, and I cannot recommend them enough! Reviewed on 05-11-2016
Bridget McFarland(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-07-2016 One of the best decisions we made as a couple, was to have our wedding at the Loon Mountain Resort. Right off the bat, our wedding coordinator, Abby is amazing. She is a longtime employee of the mountain and knows all the in's and out's of the facility like the back of her hand. She will be honest and give spot-on advice for set-up and planning, quick to respond to e-mails and had an answer for every little question- right down to how long it took to walk down the aisle! She made me feel like she had everything under control, and Abby and her staff truly did! When we first met to take a look at the venue, Abby mentioned a few renovation changes and all of them were completed by the time of our July wedding. If Abby says something will be done, it will get done. But she will also be honest and let you know if something is not best for planning. The Resort does not offer food tastings prior to the wedding, but seriously, you don't need it. We went with a buffet option of a carving station and chicken kiev. The food was AMAZING and I had several people tell me that the food was the best wedding food they've ever had. Even the appetizers, bacon wrapped scallops, spanekopetan and antipasto display- were so good! They even had two waitresses at the bottom of the gondola for us when we got down from the gondola. We were fortunate enough to have beautiful weather for an outdoor ceremony and the venue is truly breathtaking. We had minimal decorations at the summit ceremony site. Honestly, you really don't need any at all, the view is so breathtaking its all anyone can look at. Save your money on decorations and put it towards your bar! The plan B/ rain option is a ceremony in the Octagon room, which is really not a bad venue. The wood beams and spacious room is beautiful. However the staff is committed to having your ceremony outside- they leave the decision up to you. Apparently they have had many weddings in the rain at the mountain summit- and they have 75 umbrellas to provide to your guests if you so chooseAs for price, we did a lot of research on outdoor wedding venues and Loon was hands down one of the best options. They offer totally package options, which means no hidden fees or \"surprise\" add-ons. They take care of set up and break down, you don't have to rent tables or chairs, hire a caterer or any other concerns of a typical outdoor or DIY wedding. They have it all under control and it really shows. We felt very taken care of, and it was worth every penny. My husband and I were absolutely thrilled with our wedding at Loon and are so thankful we had such a memorable and happy day for ourselves, friends and family. Have your wedding at Loon! Alli Miller(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 12-08-2016 Loon is such a special place to my husband and I. Our main goal while venue shopping was to find a sentimental location. The second I called Abby she picked up right away and we walked through the pricing, contract, etc. She was so kind and helpful, I couldn't wait to meet her! She was going in for surgery the next week and our schedules were not working out to meet. She set me up a meeting with her co-worker, Andrew and he showed us around, the amphitheater at the summit, answered questions, etc. I mean, we knew where everything was but it was different looking at it all as a bride and set up for weddings opposed to the ski season. Abby and I kept in touch throughout the wintertime. She was so helpful, responsive and so enthusiastic about working together. It made the process so smooth and even though I hadn't officially met her in person, it felt like I had known her for years! When I went to drop off all of my decorations, I met Cheryl and Allie for the first time and Andrew again for the second time. They were there to help with our day and were absolutely wonderful. We had our rehearsal dinner at the lodge (where the staff wore Bruin's t-shirts knowing that we are big fans...amazing), ceremony at the summit and reception in the lodge. It was perfect. There was intense humidity both days, rain and thunderstorms on the wedding day and everyone had everything under control. They rolled with the punches and just told me where I needed to be and when...and ladies - at that point - you don't want to worry about that kind of stuff, trust the pros and let them take care of you! Thank you ALL for helping shape our day. From the get-go we loved the space that was available and of course the gorgeous view from the ceremony location at the top of the mountain! Like others, we were a little concerned that we couldn't pre-taste the menu, but we were SO PLEASED with how the food came out - a number of our guests pulled us aside to say how impressed they were with the way their steaks were cooked, how delicious the food was. Everything moved along right on schedule, and the husband and I didn't have to worry about a thing! Kate Davison(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-07-2016 My husband and I are outdoor enthusiasts and met in the White Mountains, so we knew we wanted to get married at Loon from the moment we saw it! The ceremony venue - and the gondola trip up and down - is what sold us, but everything else turned out to be perfect. The mountaintop ceremony site is beautiful in any weather, and the gondola ride up and down the mountain was a great experience for our guests. -Staff: We worked mostly with Adam and Andrew. Everyone we worked with was so professional, friendly, and always willing to answer any questions we had. On the day of the wedding, Adam and Andrew worked very hard to make sure we could have our ceremony at the summit, despite unseasonably cool and misty weather. It ended up working out perfectly and our guests were so happy to have experienced the mountaintop ceremony! Believe me when I say that site is beautiful, even in the fog!! The gondola staff was so friendly and made sure that everyone got to the summit in time, taking special care with our less mobile family members. At the reception, all of the Loon staff was so friendly, and went out of their way to be helpful, including one staff member who fixed my bustle when it broke.-Reception venue: If you're a fan of the mountains and/or love to ski, this is the perfect venue. The lodge has rustic charm, and the addition of white lanterns and cafe lights transform the ski lodge to a wonderful reception venue. The outdoor patio with the fire pit was a nice touch. -Food/drink: We were a little nervous about not being able to do a tasting before the wedding, but the food was excellent! Our guests were very happy. My husband and I didn't finish our meals, and they boxed them up for us. We ate them around 2AM and the leftovers were delicious. The drink selection was great - we especially liked that they had some local beer options. We had a great experience at Loon and recommend it highly! Reviewed on 29-07-2016

We are yet another couple who have nothing but the absolute best things to say about Loon! We had our ceremony at the summit (August 2nd) and it was just perfect - everything we had hoped for and more! In the beginning we narrowed it down to Loon and two places that were possibly more... \"traditionally elegant\". The other two were beautiful and it was a tough choice for us. I can't say which one would best suit someone else, but in hindsight I can't believe we even considered the other two!!!! We were deliriously happy with Loon and we wouldn't trade it for the world! I had originally gone in comparing the views and the reception sites 'apples to apples'. I was leaning towards Loon because of the unique experience of a ceremony at the summit. And Loon specifically because the mountain and the lodge (in my opinion) were much nicer than the other resorts we visited. Another selling point for me was that it is one (only one?) with enclosed gondola cabins. The mountain itself is fantastic for a wedding! There are tons of places for stunning pictures and the ceremony site is just perfect! But what really sold us completely on Loon was Abby. I can't imagine anyone more friendly, professional, knowledgeable, or wonderful to work with!! She was so open and honest with us, so we felt very comfortable that there would be no surprises at all with the venue, food, prices, or anything else. If you are planning a wedding (and you must be, if you are reading this!), you know what value that level of honesty is. When we started talking to the various vendors, every single one of them was very happy that we had picked Loon - they reinforced what we had already discovered about how pleasant Abby and all the staff are to work with! Speaking of staff, I was continually amazed by them. Even when people didn't know we were there for a wedding (like the gondola operators), they were awesome - so friendly, smiling, and welcoming. We truly felt at ease there throughout the entire process, like it was completely run by our best friends. You may be picturing something different for your wedding, and you should stick with what speaks to your heart. But if you are considering a mountain top ceremony or just some place with amazing people and food (with rustic elegance), then we heartily recommend you take a look at Loon!!!! If you do end up there, please tell Abby and all the staff that we said hello and thanks for an absolutely perfect wedding!!!\r Reviewed on 03-09-2015

I forgot about it until I got engaged, and when we were looking at venues, nothing clicked! Suddenly, I saw (on the Knot) that Loon Mountain also had a mountaintop ceremony! It was perfect! I grew up hiking in the White Mountains, my fiance (now husband) was born and raised in New Hampshire, he and I met at the University of New Hampshire, and we regularly skied at Loon.\r\rFrom day one, I everything was so easy. I emailed them and set up an appointment to come see everything. We met with Abby, and right away we loved her! She answered every question we had, and we didn't feel like she was selling us anything at all! We didn't feel pressured from her, and we knew we liked that laid back nature! \r\rThe pricing was great - about $100 per person, which was including taxes and gratuity, for a buffet dinner. There were so many options for food, but I was a bit nervous, since it's a ski place!\r\rThrough the whole year, Abby and I corresponded over email and she was always so helpful. Heather Anderson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-08-2014 From the very first meeting when we were scoping out the site to the actual wedding day, I cannot express enough how helpful the staff was and how perfectly our wedding day went because of them! The ceremony site on the mountain was so beautiful and the mountains offered a backdrop unrivaled anywhere else! The reception was held in the Octagon Lodge (an unbelievable transformation from winter to summer!) and the room looked so beautiful! The cocktail hour was complete with delicious hors d'oeuvres and the fire pit was kept going all night so everyone could enjoy it! We opted for the buffet, and the food was so delicious! Jillian, Katie and Abby were so helpful all night (not to mention throughout entire planning process!)- they assured me I wouldn't have to worry about anything, that they would make sure everything went smooth- and they most certainly did! Colleen Kennedy(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-08-2014 I don't even know where to begin. We wanted to get married on a mountaintop. We had a wedding far beyond our dreams.\r\rWe showed up at Loon in the middle of winter asking about summer weddings. We tried very hard to imagine what it would be like in the summer and if they had the proper facilities to accommodate our wants and needs. Although we were hesitant about signing a contract without knowing if they would have air conditioning, great food that we could try before, or an equally great rain backup plan, we signed anyways. I am so glad that we did. We visited in the summer after we signed our contract and met more of the event coordinators which helped ease some of our worries. \r\rThen, we visited again about a month before our wedding the following summer. We sat down with Katie and Jillian and went over every little detail. I had written down questions, but they answered all of them before I even had the chance to ask them. I was completely at ease and happy with everything once I met Katie and Jill. I knew that they would do an amazing job and they absolutely went above and beyond. When we met with them again the Thursday before our wedding, we felt completely comfortable telling them all our worries about the day and knew that they would ease our stress and take care of everything. They had thought of everything and planned everything for me. \r\rKatie helped my bridesmaids and I set up our reception decorations the day before. She stayed late to let us in the Octagon Lodge when she could have already been at home. She let my Aunt bring in her own baked beans for the rehearsal dinner because it was important to us. My uncles made cupcakes for us and our coordinators were there early to make sure they were pleased with the arrangement. My cousin played cocktail hour and there were people there to make sure he was all set up. I remember that when I got down from the gondola after our incredibly perfect ceremony, Katie was there literally feeding me scallops wrapped in bacon in between pictures because she didn't want my bridal party to accidentally eat the ones she had set aside for me. I thought that I was going to be so anxious throughout the weekend, but Katie and Jill really put me at ease.\r\rWe have had many weddings in my large extended family, but I had several aunts and uncles tell me that this wedding venue was by far the most impressive (and most fun). I can't say enough about the quality of the event coordinators. As for my friends, they cannot stop talking about the food. Not only was each meal cooked perfectly, but there was so much on every plate! They made sure to get us to-go boxes for the after party or the next day. My friends and family even got some! Our coordinators made sure we ate and it was excellent food, if not the best I have had at any wedding.\r\rMy parents couldn't have been more pleased with everything. We are extremely grateful for the amazing weekend we had at loon and cannot wait to go back for several years to come to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you so much. Reviewed on 13-10-2014
Ashley Spinney(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-06-2014 We recently had our wedding at the summit of Loon on June 14th, 2014. It was truly a perfect experience. \r\rAbby was phenomenal with helping plan our big day. The entire staff was very efficient. Katie and Jill were extremely helpful with setting up and they made sure everything ran smoothly. There was no need for a day of coordinator. \r\rThe food was delicious, we had many of our guest say this was \"the best wedding food they have ever had.\" \r\rThe view from the top of the mountain is breath taking. This was the perfect place to get married. Our guest were relaxed and had a blast as did we. \r\rI would recommend planning your wedding at Loon if your looking for a rustic/outdoor wedding. The outdoor patio and fireplace were a big hit for our guest. \r\rIf you choose Loon you will not be disappointed! Reviewed on 09-10-2014
Elizabeth Arlen(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-09-2014 We were married at Loon Mountain on September 6, 2014. We chose to have our wedding ceremony at the top of the mountain and the reception in the lodge by the Gondola. We had approximately 140 guests. When you choose to have a wedding outdoors you run the risk of rain. We took the risk because we fell in love with Loon as soon as we sat down for our consultation. On the day of our wedding it started misting in the morning. We received a call from Abby, the wedding coordinator, asking if we would like to have our ceremony inside or continue with our wedding on the top of the mountain. We chose to risk it all and stick with the mountain top ceremony. Loon was great and provided 75 umbrellas even though it was not raining as the guests were going up the gondola for the ceremony. When the ceremony started we had a small patch of blue sky above us. My father gave me away to my husband and our ceremony started. As soon as my Aunt started the opening prayer raindrops began to drip down. Then, it was a torrential sideways downpour. Now you might think I am giving a bad review at this point, but no, this was the most amazing thing to happen on our wedding day! It was so much fun, everyone was laughing and smiling, and the show went on! Rain or shine your wedding day feels like the best day of your life and in our situation, the rain only made it better! We then went to the bottom of the mountain to start cocktail hour. We were greeted at the end of the gondola with a table full of towels and Loon staff helping us with anything we asked for. The bridal party was shuttled down to the river to take group photos, soaked and all! The pictures came out amazing! Once we were announced into the reception we were immediately greeted by a server asking if we needed anything to drink. We were able to eat our meals at our sweetheart table and then continued our amazing reception! The meals are incredible! The staff constantly made sure we were taken care of throughout the night. I would highly recommend Loon Mountain as a wedding venue to anyone looking to have an amazing New Hampshire wedding! The staff is unbelievable and the venue is beautiful, rain or shine!! Christopher Anderson(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-08-2014 My Wife & I had our wedding here on August 23, 2014, & in my Wife's words: \"It was Perfect!\" \r\rSo let's start at the beginning. My Wife & I are avid snowboarders and Loon Mountain Resort is our home mountain. That being said when we started looking at vendors it wasn't our first choice, well, actually it was mine, but my Wife had not really seen it. So I asked her \"Have you seen Loon?\" & she said \"Yeah, it's nice...\" & then I said, \" Oh, then you haven't seen Loon!\" So I showed her, and after being speechless for a second, she said \"It's perfect!\" \r\rWe met with Jon, the wedding coordinator (who later left us in the awesome care of Jillian) & signed the contract. We were stoked. Being the primary planner of the wedding, I was so happy with our choice! The site itself is an ampitheater located on one of the runs off of the Gondola, opening out upon the valley, with a intimate Ceremony deck, stadium seating and onsite sound. You truly have to see it to believe it. To look out over the valley, like you are floating, surrounded by the lush green of mountains in the summer, breathtaking, spectacular, deeply moving. \r\rAll throughout the process of planning Jillian (who became our wedding coordinator) was fantastic! She was laid back, helpful, and super clear about making this day about us! In every way I felt comfortable and confident with her and that we were going to have a killer wedding! Here's the breakdown... You take a 4 seat gondola up to the top of the mountain, awesome views abound, and then a short little walk to the site. Then after the ceremony a lovely gondola ride back down, and the reception was in the Octagon Lodge, et voila! I would also like to mention that Loon also provided a little ATV shuttle for those guests who were in need of a little assistance to get to the ceremony site. They covered everything! \r\rWhile Jillian was in charge of the over all wedding process (most mightily I might add), Katie was the tour de force for our Reception! She oversees the food (we had an awesome buffet!), bar and the set up of the tables, cake/ cupcakes, favors, posters, signs, and decorations! Man Katie was the Bomb! The food was on point, the bar was flowing and she absolutely killed it with the set up & decorations! She also made sure all the fellas had their Boutonnieres fastened! She even made a quick trip to my room to get a payment for our shuttle service... Man she was good. \r\rIn addition, both Katie and Jillian repurposed our flowers from the ceremony site and set them up in the reception... as well as decorating our cupcake tower with flowers and candles. Each table was beautiful, and the wait staff was super kind & helpful, in every way possible, including breaking down the reception and organizing our stuff so we could pack it up the next day! \r\rMy wife & I had a ton of cool signs and creative aspects to our wedding and Jillian & Katie were incredible in working with us to use them them in the best way possible! Outside there was a fire pit running all night, where people could sit & chill, jam on their guitars, or play the hand made Baggo Game I brought, which Katie and her staff set up. It was the PERFECT set up! Perfect. \r\rSo there you have it. It was in every way... Beautiful. \r\rThank you Loon Mountain Resort. Thank you Jillian, Thank you Katie, Thank you everyone that made our Celebration of Love so wonderful. \r\r~Heather & Christopher \r\r\r\r Reviewed on 08-10-2014

I cannot imagine planning a wedding without the support and expertise of this great team of professionals!\r\rLoon Mountain is a beautiful place to get married. While there are many beautiful wedding venues in New Hampshire, Loon Mountain is certainly one of the most breathtaking. \r\rLoon Mountain made our wedding day truly the happiest day of our lives! Erin Marie(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-07-2014 I am so happy to have had my wedding at Loon Mountain. We wanted to be able to have a ceremony on top of a mountain and looked at several places in northern New Hampshire. Loon was the best, by far. \r\rThe weddings are held in a little amphitheater type setting at the summit. Guests ride a 4-person gondola to get to the ceremony. How unique is that! \r\rIn a nutshell: What I appreciated most about the experience was 1) how helpful and kind the staff was, 2) the value 3) the beauty.\r\rMy husband and I had a lot of D-I-Y stuff in our wedding and so we had a lot of questions for the staff at several times throughout our planning process. Abby and Adam were super helpful every step of the way. We also DJed our own reception (we are control freaks about music and didn't want to pay someone else to play music we hate). We had a friend MC, and rented our own sound equipment. Even though it was probably annoying for them, the staff was very laid back about what we wanted to do. And yes-- we had to worry about a lot of the things that a DJ usually takes care of (setting up and breaking down equipment, etc) but that was worth it to us. \r\rOur reception was in the Octagon Lodge, which I think is the cafeteria during ski season. It sounds weird, something fancy like a wedding reception in a ski lodge. the coordinator for the reception, Katie, had the place set up so beautifully. We had a gorgeous day so our guests were even able to enjoy the beautiful patio at the base of the mountain, complete with lounge chairs and fire pit. \r\rWe did the dinner buffet style, there are a lot of options. We don't live in NH so we were unable to do a tasting in advance, but we didn't need to because everything tasted delicious. This is the slightly less expensive option, but I think even if we went with the plated dinner, the cost still would have been pretty manageable. It's actually an incredible value when you consider that the wedding venue and reception are all included in the price. The setting is just absolutely beautiful and is priceless. \r\rHere is an example of the kind staff: We were staying at the hotel at Loon Mountain, the Mountain Club (a separate entity from Loon Mountain where the wedding was, so don't confuse this review as including the hotel staff.). The morning of the wedding, the power went out in all of Lincoln. So I naturally ended up sobbing in the fetal position on my bed. Adam called my room to assure me that they were working on a plan, the gondola was still running, and by hook or by crook we were going to have the wedding that we planned. I really appreciated that he didn't try and convince me that it would be \"just as nice\" if we couldn't do it as planned. That's patronizing. \r\rwe're super lucky that the weather was so perfect on our wedding day; there's always a risk when you plan an event outdoors. But everything about the day (after the power came back on (: ) was absolutely perfect. And so much of that is thanks to Abby, Adam, and Katie who were helping run the show. I would do it again exactly the same, over and over. Reviewed on 15-08-2014
Alyssa Vaillancourt(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-07-2014 We are so glad we had our wedding ceremony and reception at Loon Mountain Resort.\rLocation - Loon Mountain gives the feel of a destination wedding, without the travel and expense of a destination wedding. The ceremony site at the top of the mountain is breathtaking. They also have microphone/speakers up at the top for the ceremony! The gondola ride to the ceremony site is a unique experience and guests love it! The Octagon Lodge is beautiful with the large windows and exposed beams. Even their chairs and tables have the rustic wooden look to them. The Mountain Club At Loon is in walking distance which is perfect to stay for your wedding weekend! This venue creates an amazing experience for you and your guests. Loon Mountain allows you to have 3 different locations for the price of 1 (ceremony site, outside patio for cocktail hour, reception lodge) – I know some of the wedding sites we were looking at charged you for each room you used.\rStaff- I had the pleasure of working with Jillian and Andrew for most of my planning. They answered every e-mail very quickly and were very helpful in my planning process. Katie, who was the food and banquet coordinator, knocked it out of the park! Katie has lots of energy and very organized. At my final meeting before the wedding Jillian, Andrew and Katie took me through how the day would run and how the room would look. I felt so confident that my day would be beautiful as I felt like I was in good hands. Before I left the mountain that day I grabbed a quick bite to eat on the mountain. Katie was in the café too and took a seat with me and we started chatted. She wanted to get to know a little bit more about my fiancé and I. It is little moments like that, they will make a huge impact on a bride and groom’s experience. I knew my heart no matter what happened that day that the staff at Loon would do their very best to take care of us, and they did, our wedding day went so smoothly. Jillian, Andrew, Katie, the wait staff, the bartenders and gondola staff worked as a team with my wedding coordinator, All The Fuss Events, and made our wedding day the best day of my life. \rFood- I will be honest I was extremely worried about the food since we did not do a tasting before the wedding. I had spoken with some pervious couples and they all assured me the food would be good, however I was still worried. We decided to do a buffet spread for the reception, I took the first bite of food of my plate and it was delicious! We did chicken and beef and I heard great things from the guest about both options. The food tasted homemade and it tasted so fresh! You will not be disappointed!! \rOverall Experience – I am so glad we chose Loon Mountain Resort as our wedding venue. The location was perfect, the food was excellent and the staff was so accommodating. We could not have picked a better venue. \r Reviewed on 06-08-2014

Everything was perfect. I have no complaints. I truly felt like a princess and they really do an incredible job of ensuring your happiness. Erin, one of the servers, even took my shoes off for me (they were a little tricky). I had pictures to display on the TV in the Octagon Lodge for the reception, and the marketing guy (I can't remember his name) went through and re-sized over 450 pictures on a flash drive and put them into a nice slideshow format. The coordinators knew how much we enjoyed the rum punch at the top and made sure we each got one while we did our pictures during cocktail hour (even though the place closed before we got up there). Who needs a wedding planner when the venue event planners coordinated everything with all of our other vendors, and decorated everything that I did not take care of myself, including moving the ceremony decor down from the top of the mountain to the reception at the bottom? They really do define the expression \"going above and beyond.\" I couldn't be happier with our decision to get married at Loon Mountain.
