Brittney Young(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-05-2021 This venue is beautiful inside and out! The staff were flexible and were great to communicate with! They have everything you need - ceremony chairs, reception chairs, tables, glassware, dinnerware, charger plates, and cutlery, as well as decor pieces, tablecloths, napkins and much more. This venue was not only your ceremony space and reception space, but also your caterer and bartender! Initially the plan was to have an outdoor ceremony, however on the day of, it was raining which moved the ceremony indoors. The staff moved all the chairs for the ceremony and for the reception, and honestly I preferred how the ceremony indoors turned out versus outdoors. The venue was well air-conditioned and had plenty of space for our 90 guests, and the frozen margaritas were a hit! My one complaint is minor - the bartender preemptively opened the seals on wine bottles and unboxed all beer bottles and destroyed the boxes. Unfortunately, now we can’t return the alcohol to Specs. Other than that, fantastic venue! Reviewed on 24-05-2021

Bertha, the owner, was absent minded prior to the wedding which made us nervous, but she was nice. HOWEVER, the day of the wedding, she was extremely rude and just HORRIBLE! She yelled at the bride and wedding party just moments before the ceremony (as the entrance song was playing) and could care less we were about to start. Further, as the Bride and her dad were about to walk out the door to head down the isle, Bertha received a phone call so she let go of the door she was holding open and took her call and walked away (Dad had to open the door for him and the bride as guests watched). Bertha also yelled at guests and close family members. She questioned the grooms grandparents about who they were and why they were sitting at the family table even though the groom asked them to sit there. She was not nice about it either. The venue was nice but the rudeness and yelling was noticed by everyone and not worth the heartache, our advice is for you to choose a different venue! Also, we paid extra for the names to be on the fireplace, the example that was shown to us and the reason we opted to pay the extra amount was very nice and crisp. The image on the wall on the day of the wedding had a colored circle around it and was being projected horrible. Save your money...go elsewhere! Reviewed on 17-07-2018
Natalie Dent(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-06-2018 We had a beautiful ceremony and reception at Los Encinos! Here you get the whole shebang for a great price. You have to use the on-site catering at the venue which limits choice, but the food is affordable and AMAZING (go with the chicken Picatta). We had 140 guests and there was the perfect amount of space, I would not want to go much over this number since the dance floor area is limited. Thank you Bertha, Karen and the Los Encinos staff for making our day unforgettable! Reviewed on 25-06-2018

knottie00562cee736f037d (wedding party)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-09-2018 My daughter was married at Los Encinos Hill Country Estate this July. Bertha and her staff were so helpful and friendly right from our first tour of the venue and up to the very last minute of the event. The day of the wedding started off well. The inside was beautifully set up and the outdoor ceremony preparations were going smoothly and everything looked so pretty. Then a unexpected thunderstorm rolled in about an hour before the start of the ceremony. Bertha and her staff were absolutely awesome. They were very calm and were ready to move everything indoors if necessary. That kept me calm (somewhat). My daughter, of course, was a little upset, but she held it together. Guests were arriving and had to come inside instead of going up the stone walkway to the outdoor seating. She wanted the inside of the venue to have that \"wow\" effect when the ceremony was over. Our guests were still very impressed with how everything looked inside. The storm passed and the staff immediately got to work cleaning up and drying ALL of the outdoor seating, the beautiful patios, everything, so that the ceremony could still take place at the beautiful arbor and still be on time. Bertha even provided an isle runner. While the ceremony was taking place and the guests were outside. The staff were like ninjas putting all of the tables settings and chairs back in place as though no one had even been inside. When the ceremony was over and the guests went back inside for the cocktail hour the \"wow\" factor was definitely there! The food was also delicious. The rest of the night turned out perfectly and the rain even cooled things down a little bit. I would recommend this venue without hesitation. Thank you Bertha and staff for everything! We met with Bertha several times with many questions( we were clueless about planning a wedding) and she was always so kind and patient with us. She walked us through every step of the planning and just gave us suggestions to help guide us. Bertha and her staff were all there behind the scenes to keep us on track the night of the wedding and to make sure everything went well.It was a perfect wedding and we received so many compliments. Lacey Hernandez(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-08-2015 We chose this venue for a our wedding because it was \"all-inclusive\" which was nice since we were planning from California. The venue is GORGEOUS, and it really shines at night. Bertha was great about answering questions leading up to the big day. \rOverall, our wedding was beautiful and so much fun, but there are some things to note about this venue. 1. It is small and there is no way 150 people could comfortably sit inside (they have a 150 guest minimum). They require your final guest count a week in advance and if you don't meet the 150 minimum the money for the meal goes into appetizers which is great - surprisingly the food was really good! 2. The venue is shaped really weird so guests are literally in corners where they cannot see or hear anything. 3. There is no day-of-coordinator. Initially I was told that Bertha or her daughters would keep things on track, but when I visited a few months later, I was told that they would not be doing that. 4. The guest entrance is off to the side and not clearly marked, so guests walked through the front doors and were inside roaming around rather than waiting outside for everything to begin.\rHad we been living and planning our wedding in Texas, I would not have chose this venue. Simply due to the fact that they are \"all-inclusive\" just made things easier and less stressful from planning at a distance. Reviewed on 14-09-2015

We had about 110 people at our wedding, I was planning the whole thing while also working full time, and our budget was pretty small compared to most Texas weddings. I did tons of research and visited quite a few venues, but LE stuck out as an all-inclusive one-stop-shop. I didn't have to worry about coordinating a caterer, hiring a bartender, getting linens, getting silverware, getting centerpieces... it was ALL there. LITERALLY you only need to bring the priest (if you're getting married there), photographer, the alcohol that you want served, cake and DJ. They have everything else. We brought extra decorations and favors, of course, and everything went so smoothly. Bertha and her daughters seriously know what they're doing and will put you at ease so you can party all night! Stephanie Palacios(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-04-2013 The area is beautiful and they offer many amenities which is very helpful. The only issues I have are as follows: you need to really know your head count the week before the wedding because you are automatically charged for 150 but if you have less guests the remaining amount paid goes toward appetizers. We gave our head count the week of the wedding and they refused to count anything less than 150 toward the appetizers and would not serve the additional food we had to purchase to whoever wanted seconds. Also, the chicken was raw for at least 10 of our guests which was very disappointing, for some the chicken still had blood. Reviewed on 12-05-2013

I was planning a wedding from out of town and Los Encinos was able to take care of a ton of reception details for me. We originally chose the venue because of the beautiful building and backyard, as well as the BYOB bar service. As we prepared for the wedding the past six months, we quickly realized what a great find we'd made. Bertha and her daughter were wonderful about letting us tour the venue and ask questions as often as we needed to to work through our own wedding day details. It was extremely convenient to have one vendor to work with for tables, chairs, linens, candles, food, wait staff, bar service, etc. We made a few upgrades from her standard package and had several unusual requests on top of that, but Bertha was fine with each of them. Bertha was also very helpful during the rehearsal and the morning of to ensure everything went smoothly. \r\rThe ceremony took place in the backyard. We planned for 237 guests, with 15 indoor tables and 9 outdoor. About 207 actually showed up.\r\rWe have received numerous calls, emails and thank you notes from family and friends, all commenting on the beauty of the venue and the fabulous wedding. I was our wedding planner, the cakes were by Ultimate Cheesecake Company, the photographer was Philip Thomas Photography, flowers were by HEB Alon, and music was by Monte Vista Strings and First Choice DJs. We rented four portal coolers from Great Events Rental to balance the 92 degree weather and hired David Pitts to entertain the younger guests. Everything else was by Los Encinos.\r\rI am so happy with the way our wedding turned out. I highly recommend Los Encinos Hill Country Estate. The rates were a little high, seeing has how you have to have 150 minimum guests, if you don't, you still have to pay for it, somehow. I don't think 150 min is quite fair seeing has how the space is on the small side unless you put tables outside. I was disappointed that the day of coordinator was so hard to track down until the wedding was actually getting started. Luckily, I had pushy bridesmaids that were able to get questions answered and things got done. It is a lot of work to \"personalize\" your wedding at this venue... I wanted to add personal touches since every time I was there it always looked the same, I didn't want a generic wedding. Luckily the venue was free from any other events that weekend so I was able to come and go and drop stuff off randomly and not have it mixed up with someone else's stuff. Had it been another weekend that was booked, I don't think it would have gone as smoothly setting up. I also was disappointed that food tastings were not offered, luckily, the food turned out delicious! \rWhen everything was said and done, our wedding and reception turned out beautiful!
