Located in El Paso, TX, Los Portales is a wedding venue brimming with historical appeal. Couples can easily celebrate in a magical and memorable way in this charming setting. The venue was originally built in 1932 and is an adobe-style structure. It sits on the old route to Mesilla, which is also called the Don Juan de Oñate route. Billy Garrett(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 19-10-2018 While researching wedding venues, my fiancé and I wanted to find a location that had real character. Though other venues may offer many different things, we really fell in love with Los Portales when we, luckily, came across it. The beautiful architecture and open landscaping made for the perfect location and backdrop for our Fall wedding. We also loved, and appreciated, the history and story behind the structure itself. We are not local to the area but working with Oscar leading up to our wedding was extremely easy and left us very care-free. We had regular check-ins with him to ensure everything was progressing as planned. He also offered several helpful suggestions for local retailers that were knowledgable and reliable. Once it go to the week of our wedding, Alvaro was also a great deal of help with finalizing some of those last-minute details. The serving staff were also fantastic. Throughout the evening, they made sure all guests had full glasses and were quick to clear tables when necessary. This was something we were not expecting, resulting in it being a very pleasant surprise.Again, my fiancé (now wife) and I could not have been happier with the beautiful setting that the Los Portales venue provided for our special day.Two suggestions for prospective couples considering having their wedding here:- Request to meet with the day-of coordinator prior to the actual date of your wedding. This will definitely help to ensure they are aware of who each person in the wedding party is and who should be contacted if concerns come up.- Share open communication with the DJ surrounding the songs, or specific music, you'd like to be played.
