A Fairytale Wedding in the Heart of the South!
Your wedding will possibly be the most mesmerizing, magical moment in your lifetime. Spanning 24+ years of weddings at the Castle, we can cater to whatever your needs are. For our full packages we are almost all-inclusive, including IN-HOUSE catering , the DJ and wedding coordinator for the ceremony and reception, and all our standard décor, including tables, chairs, linens and florals for the ceremony and reception . What we don’t handle, we have professional vendors we recommend and trust who are familiar with our Castle. If you prefer a different vendor, sure that is fine. The 2023 prices listed below includes ceremony, reception (if included) and tax. No gratuity is charged. WEEKDAY WEDDING PACKAGES: Monday – Thursday We host any size wedding or elopement during the week. You can have a complete micro wedding with up to 40 guests Monday – Thursday for under $5,000. Perhaps you seek a smaller wedding, but still with a ceremony and reception. We also have a package for that! Our "LIMITED CEREMOMY AND RECEPTION PACKAGE" includes up to 20 guests with a sit-down dinner for under $3500. Additional guests are priced per person. WEEKDAY ELOPEMENT PACKAGES: Monday - Thursday We have 2 Elopement packages; both include an overnight stay in the Castle and are priced for the Couple only. Additional guests are extra. For the "ELOPEMENT PACKAGE" There is no reception, just the Ceremony and then the Bride and Groom are left in the Castle to make their own “party of 2.” Our "PRINCESS ELOPEMENT" includes a ceremony then a 1-hour reception with light Hors d’oeuvres, soda, and a small wedding cake. This is priced under $2100. Additional guests (up to 30) are priced per person. WEEKEND MICRO WEDDINGS: For our Friday, Saturday at 1 and Sunday Weddings, there is a minimium of 50 Guests. You may include an overnight stay at the Castle for $375 on Friday and Sunday. These packages begin at $6,400 in 2023 and $6,800 in 2024. You may include up to 350 Guests for an additional price per guest. SATURDAY EVENING: 7:00 pm For our most requested and booked Wedding, Saturday evening, our minimum is 75 Guests This Wedding Package starts at $8,300 for 2023 and $8,700 for 2024. Additional guests may be added for a fee. You can always add the overnight stay for $375. We have recently seen more larger weddings being requested (and we can accommodate up to 350 guests), but, we are still also doing Micro weddings for our clients. While we can’t deny there are many places in the United States that are beautiful venues to consider, we have no doubt our Castle is special. Being able to stay overnight in a Castle, is truly unique and extra special. Louisiana Castle began with a love story and every day we book a wedding , it ends with a Love Story! If you are looking for a \"Once in a Lifetime\" experience, I highly recommend Louisiana Castle. My husband and I had our wedding on a Saturday evening and we stayed in the castle overnight. My grown children and friends flew in from all over, many of whom stayed down the road at the \"Castle Cottage.\" The next morning, we went to breakfast before dropping my children and their spouses at the airport in Baton Rouge. The Castle itself. It's a castle... What's not to like? Knowing there is a love story behind the entire orchestration of the castle is a bonus. (Look into that. It's a bit romantic to consider getting married at a venue with a love history, castle or not.) The castle portion looks castle-ey. Medieval-type memorabilia, and the Juliet Suite is the perfect hideaway for a Bride. The balcony, the large mirror, and the wall mirror are some favorite spots for pictures. I wish I had hired a photographer who knew the lay of the land, so I would have those photos. I recommend you look at the website to view pictures you like and let your photgrapher know which shots you want. I must be honest and say.... My wedding was a blur. It all seemed sureal and it happened so fast. I am more traditional so I was stashed in the Juliet Suite where no one could see me until my grand entrance. It was days later when I found out the Coodinator/Manager had to help with my husband's tie. Having a coodinator for the event was a must! She told us exactly what we needed to do and when we needed to do it. I was so nervous to make my entrance but before she swung open that door, she was reassuring and told me to stop at the top of the steps so the rose petals could fall while a picture was being taken. She guided the entire evening. The venue and Manager were accomodating throughout the entire process. We had \"Elvis\" sing at our wedding, a cake pull, and, my husband, donned in his royal crown, read a Thank You to our guests after we arrived as Mr. and Mrs. Later in the evening he knighted his mates with his sword. His sword was also used for us to cut his cake. We've had several guests tell us they have never been to such a fun wedding. I understand the food was delicious. (I can't eat when I am nervous.) They did have an overnight plate for us in the room, but by that time, Cinderella had several 'crowns' to go with her 'royal' theme. (haha)THE STEPS: I was concerned. My bridal party and I wore ballet slippers. However, in hindsight, I could have worn heels with no issues. THE MUSIC: We had out own DJ for the Reception, but they DJ'd the Ceremony with no issues. In fact, I had specific songs for my bridal party and me, and it went smoothly. THE CATERING: Heard it was delicious! haha The food was there all night. THE DECOR: The standard castle decor is quite elegant for the Ceremony and Recpetion in the Ballroom. I have seen upgrades that were incredible, so it is an option. I chose my upgrades to be more like personal champagne glasses and keepsake favors. I highly recommend Louisiana Castle regardless of where you live. It's affordable and travelers can make their way to New Orleans for a destination wedding event. You can have an elopement for 2 or a party of 350. The only thing I would change is how nervous I was and my photography. Just remember, it all goes by quicker than you think, so be organized and on time.

My husband and I will forever remember our wedding day at the castle!!! Everything was just as we had planned!!! The Castle was the most beautiful venue to host a wedding. Everyone loved how gorgeous it was and the staff there are phenomenal. They anticipated any of our needs, were very polite and helpful, and kept everything running smoothly the whole night. My husband and I stayed the night of our wedding and enjoyed the hot tub, and they had plenty of leftovers in our room for us to enjoy. The whole experience was magical. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting a fairytale wedding at an affordable price.

The Castle was the most beautiful venue to host a wedding. Everyone loved how gorgeous it was and the staff there are phenomenal. They anticipated any of our needs, were very polite and helpful, and kept everything running smoothly the whole night. My husband and I stayed the night of our wedding and enjoyed the hot tub, and they had plenty of leftovers in our room for us to enjoy. The whole experience was magical. Definitely recommend for anyone wanting a fairytale wedding at an affordable price.

We had an amazing ceremony and reception! They took care of just about everything and were highly communicative up to the event. The staff coordinated everything very well, the music was handled just as I wanted, and the food was fantastic. There were a few problems, but I never knew because the staff handled them so well and very quickly. My guests loved the venue itself and complimented the food. This is a phenomenal place to have your wedding!!

The venue package included table decor, wedding and grooms cakes, a day of coordinator to keep it all on track, and the catering. The food was delicious and the cakes were beautiful and very very yummy!! The staff was friendly and helpful. They answered all my questions leading up to the big day through text, emails, and phone calls...and once the day FINALLY arrived they helped pull it off without a hitch!! It was one perfect evening!

Everything was beautiful. I highly recommend using the vendors that they recommended, because it made it so much easier knowing our vendors already knew what to do. The only stressful part was that they originally only gave us about an hour before to get things set up, but they did end up giving us another extra hour before. It was a little chaotic during that two hour window before the ceremony regardless. Also, the castle will rehearse with your bridesmaids a few minutes before the ceremony but not with the bride or grandparents/parents. So make sure to have a good rehearsal at a separate place and make sure everyone knows their order. They also let you rent a 4 bedroom cottage literally 3 minutes from the castle. Highly recommend getting this to get ready in during the day. All in all everything went very smooth, and we had such a great time. Ms Mary, the coordinator, was awesome helping us coordinate the timing, and making sure we got everything done.

My husband and I recently got married at the Louisiana Castle. We were very excited to get married at this venue as it's very beautiful. They have a cottage that you can rent out that's convenient. This venue had an opportunity to have a 5 star review, however, fell short in the fact that they played the wrong music during our ceremony. My husband was supposed to walk down to melodic violin piece accompanied by piano but instead walked down to Dynamite by BTS. However, everything else went without a hitch once we informed the coordinator that the reception music was being played during the ceremony. They corrected the issue and thankfully my bridesmaids walked to the correct music. Both Mary and Dolly are very kind as well as helpful. The decorations were beautiful and the food was great. The cake was perfectly decorated and tasted great. We loved getting to stay in the castle overnight. That was such a unique experience that was very fun. Overall, I feel this venue still has potential to be a great place to get married. I just hope in the future they make sure to play the right music.

The castle staff handled everything efficiently! The food was absolutely amazing, and they really made us feel like all we had to do was smile and go. I felt like I did not have to worry about anything as they handled it all perfectly. I will recommend the pulled pork in au jus sauce to anyone! We ate it three more times that night. In all, great food, great cake, great staff. Perfect day!

Our wedding was on 9/17/21…. EVERYONE had recently been affected by hurricane Ida (including Mrs.Dolly-the owner) the previous week. Everything seemed to be falling apart from my outside decorator that cancelled, dress being destroyed, just everything lol. Once I arrived to the castle, I felt a huge weight lifted off of me!! EVERYTHING about this place was exactly the way it was supposed to be. Although they had personal issues due to the hurricane, the made sure that our wedding was absolutely amazing. No matter the time or day, Mrs. Dolly & Mrs. Mary was available to me for any questions or concerns. I will never be able to put into words how much of a blessing they were to us. May God continue to bless these ladies, and the entire staff that made our day perfect.

My wedding was simply beautiful. Dolly was my first point of contact. She was very prompt in answering any and every question that I had. Everything ran pretty smooth, everything was very organized. The staff was friendly and helpful. The wedding planner made sure to keep us on track with the time. The food was delicious and Suzanne did a great job with the cakes. My only complaint is that the reception seemed rush and not really long enough for us to enjoy ourselves. Other than that my day was perfect! I highly recommend Louisiana Castle as your one stop shop, especially if you’re out of town planning your wedding.

The Castle was everything and more that we needed and wanted. Dolly was always understanding and willing to work with us (we had to push our date back due to a family illness). She answered all of our questions and made sure we understood everything. Mary was there the day of and she was a life saver! She made sure everyone was where they were supposed to be when they needed to be there. The food was wonderful. Y'all that bread pudding!!! SO GOOD. Our cake was beautiful and delicious. We went with the basic decorations because we didn't have the time to do extra and it was perfect. I really couldn't recommend the castle enough.

We had an intimate ceremony, the princess elopement package with added guests was perfect for our 25 guest ceremony/ reception. We stayed the night and enjoyed not having the stress of leaving and going elsewhere. It was wonderful to relax after all the guests left and have the place to ourselves. I couldn’t have picked a more perfect and breathtaking venue that was all Inclusive to all our needs.

Absolutely love this venue! I was looking for something different for my wedding and I found the Louisiana Castle. My fiance and I scheduled a tour and right away we knew that was the perfect spot for us. We couldn't have chosen a better venue. The staff were wonderful, the castle is beautiful and the food was delicious. Everyone that I have spoken to about it leading up to the wedding and since has been surprised to find out that there is a castle in Louisiana and all of our guests raved about it! I can't say enough about what a great location it is to have a wedding! I only got married two weeks ago on Oct. 6th 2018 and already have others asking for information about the venue for their weddings, one of which has already booked! Fairytale come true! The staff at the castle was helpful, friendly, and made our special day one to remember. My father cried when the rose petals fluttered down on me. Steven did a great job decorating and the food was delicious and more than enough for all guest. Mrs. Mary was patient and a true professional. My only complaint was that we couldn't enough the patio festivities due to the huge horse flies. Which is why I can't give them 5 stars.

The Louisiana Castle met and exceeded every expectation I had for my wedding day. Dolly and Mary are extremely easy to work with; every request I had was fulfilled. The castle was a truly beautiful venue; I booked before touring and was not disappointed with my choice. The staff is very good at what they do: the food is delicious, the service is great, the prepared music for the ceremony is very classy, the DJ is fun and accommodating, and the provided decorations are beautiful. Mary the manager ensured everyone in the wedding party knew what to do, which was very helpful since I didn't have a rehearsal the evening before. The vendors associated with the castle are also wonderful and make the planning process much easier. Stephen, the florist, created beautiful arrangements for me without much guidance from me at all (note: bouquets and such not included in the package with the castle, but Stephen works hard to get the best rates for castle brides). Julie, the baker, created my dream cake using only a description I verbally gave her (and it was delicious). I personally wanted a bigger cake than what was included for my guest count so that a lot was left over, and Julie baked the extra cake layers for a very reasonable price. The overnight option for the castle is amazing. The castle is a very romantic place to spend a wedding night; the entire castle is yours for the night. There is a very nice hot tub area with robes and towels provided, and the Juliet suite is fully stocked with all the toiletries and supplies you might need. Several boxes of food are prepared for the bride and groom and put in a fridge in the Juliet suite for them to enjoy throughout the night, which is very useful as the couple likely doesn't have much time to eat at the reception.This venue is a perfect option for brides wanting their very own fairytale! My husband and I felt like a real royal couple from the moment we arrived to leaving the castle the next morning. The castle is truly is a value for the inclusive package offered. Speaking of the all inclusive package, it is important to note that this allowed me to have a gorgeous wedding with minimal planning on my part as I worked two jobs and attended graduate school. I would 100% recommend this to anyone!

My daughter had her wedding at The Louisiana Castle on Oct. 14, 2017. It was a fantastic experience. Well worth it for the money. The staff is super. Worked really well with us. The music wasn’t too loud so you couldn’t hear if you were trying to talk to someone. Exceeded all of our spectators. I had my wedding at the Louisiana Castle on October 13,2017. It was the most amazing experience we could have asked for! We had read the reviews on the knot and we had done some other research trying to make sure this was the venue for us and it most definitely was. The reviews about this place can sound really scary, but if you know what you want and you communicate properly and ask questions then everything will work out famously. The venue itself is so unique and beautiful, the grounds are gorgeous and the castle is just breathtaking. The wedding cake and grooms cake came out beautiful, just like the picture I sent to Mrs Julie, and tasted absolutely delicious. We hired Rock-it productions to be the DJ for the ceremony and reception. Mary, the coordinator was fantastic, she took charge and led us were we needed to go, kept us informed, reminded us of the little things, and got us anything we needed. The food was delicious. The Juliet suite was clean, beautiful and comfortable (my girls and I got our hair and makeup done before we got to the castle since we only had an hour before the ceremony) so we used the Juliet suite for pictures and to get dressed. We decided to stay at the Castle for the night, and at the end of the night, after the reception, they had a few big boxes of left over food for us in the refrigerator that is in the Juliet suite and they let us have access to the soft drinks down stairs. The hot tub looked amazing but we never got a chance to use it. All in all, I had my doubts, I read the reviews and heard the stories but it was the most amazing experience I could have ever wanted or asked for. I feel like the only way it could go wrong is if you don't read the contract through and through, or ask questions. As long as you communicate with Dolly, Mary, and Julie, it will be the best experience!!

The venue is absolutely beautiful and the staff are extremely professional and efficient! I was worried about the rain since I wanted the ceremony to be outside (although there isA covered patio as a backup plan) but the crew were amazing and allowed us to wait a bit for weather to pass. The staff quickly dried off the pews and provided the wedding party and guests with specific instructions beforehand so we knew what to expect without feeling rushed or pressured. We were able to extend the reception time without any hassle due to weather complications. The food was phenomenal and plentiful! Our cupcake cake was stunning and delicious, as was the grooms cake. I had no issues with music as I brought my own cd's, mailed them early to check that they would work, and made extra copies just in case. Mary, the manager, was very good at keeping us on a specific time schedule and following through with specific requests. I can speak for my entire family when I say the staff did an amazing job at making us feel comfortable and welcomed since we traveled in from another state. I am so glad we chose this venue and would recommend it to anyone - good price, great value!

We got married on 5/12/17 and I could not have imagined a more perfect wedding. The location is secluded, making the event very private and intimate. They worked with us well during the weeks leading up to the wedding. While my daughter was dressing, the staff was very accommodating and helpful. There was no discussion regarding roles and places for the wedding party regarding the ceremony. It was expected that people would just know which way to go. The Juliet Suite is very pretty, but the fixtures are dated. The reception area restrooms are dated, as well. During the reception, the WiFi went out. That meant there were about 8 songs TOTAL that were played after that. They had no backup plan. Not exactly the experience I was paying for. The DJ was rude regarding it and not helpful. We had playlists, but they had no way of playing them. Right before 10, they replenished ALL of the food, even though it had been empty for a while and no one was eating. Guess what? The responsible party signs a contract that they cannot take the food off the premises, which means the staff takes it home. The wedding cake was AWFUL. Don't expect the same cake you ordered from the sampling. As the cleanup was occurring, I was double-checking our party had not left anything. Not only was the staff drinking OUR wine, but they were talking trash about our wedding and the wedding party guests. While it is an all-inclusive spot and very unique, the staff needs training, the accommodations need to be updated, and the venue needs a real DJ. The money spent did not reflect what we received.Please note what everyone says about the coordinator-it is true. She would be great with some interpersonal training. I had my wedding here, Mrs Dolly is amazing, since the first day i spoke to her, she was really nice. The day of the event went well according to my plans. They need to work better with comunication with the bride, i had to be calling them all the time, i bought expensive aisle that they forgot to put it :( i never got it back not even a apology letter from them. The guy that makes the arragement was really hard to contact him, i went to.my wedding not even knowing if they put the decoration as i wanted. Its a nice place but i think they need to work better.

The castle was such a great venue for our masquerade wedding. Mary makes sure that everything runs smoothly. We used an outside vendor for our cake, which did not arrive on time and she had to redo the bottom layer, but we did not find this out until the reception was over. Nothing to worry about! The cake was fixed perfectly, I didn't even notice something happened to it. The food was amazing, our decorations were perfect (thanks Steven!), and the music was great. Would highly recommend to anyone.

The castle was such a great venue for our masquerade wedding. Mary makes sure that everything runs smoothly. We used an outside vendor for our cake, which did not arrive on time and she had to redo the bottom layer, but we did not find this out until the reception was over. Nothing to worry about! The cake was fixed perfectly, I didn't even notice something happened to it. The food was amazing, our decorations were perfect (thanks Steven!), and the music was great. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Brought a cd for all the ceremony songs and reception, but because it had cd-r capabilities, their computers wouldn't run it. Dolly was amazing and easy to work with for payments and planning, but having spent countless hours on a playlist only to have it not play was a bit heartbreaking. The DJ also seemed pretty clueless in general and there was a whole minute after the \"kiss the bride\" moment where there was no music to walk out to, so that was awkward. We bought the honeymoon package where you stay the night, which would have been the best part if the experience, but the morning after, there were people cleaning up downstairs well before we were supposed to be out. That was a bit startling since the appeal was having the castle to ourselves. In general, not much went as smoothly as they made it seem it would be. One thing I really liked was the cottage they have available to rent, because there are no hotels in the area. The castle was beautiful and the food was great, but if I could do it again I would have done it somewhere cheaper and saved myself the trouble :/

My mother got married at Louisiana Castle recently and I was her planner. We selected the Castle -- needless to say we could not have been more pleased with everything. We selected the Castle because the price was very reasonable and because so much was included in the package, reducing the number of vendors that I had to deal with. The prices on the internet are the REAL prices--no hidden charges. The staff was very friendly and polite. Mary, the manager, was very helpful and made sure everything ran smoothly. It is easy to get off track, but Mary, with her sweet smile would guide us saying ,\"are you ready to .....\" That would be our signal that it was time for the next thing that we planned to do. Even the food servers were \"happy workers\" because they smiled and seemed to enjoy themselves even though they were working. The cakes (by Ms Tina) were exactly what I wanted and were delicious . The food was delicious (even though I did not eat much) , the hot items were hot and the cold items we cold, the staff kept the food fresh and all the guest kept telling me how wonderful everything tasted. Our friends and family are still talking about it.\r\rWe selected some music we wanted played from their list and we provided CD's of other music we wanted. The DJ did a great job--she played what we wanted,-- oldies, disco, line dances and of course some current music--something for everyone. That is exactly what we wanted\r\rThe Louisiana Castle is beautiful, the staff was excellent and we all had a great time. My Mother keeps thanking me for my help and for selecting the Castle for her special day. She said her wedding day was \"Magical\" and that she really appreciated the Louisiana Castle's staff for making it a day she will never forget. .

The Louisiana Castle is such a breath taking wedding venue. We could not have asked for a more beautiful and perfect ceremony/reception/overnight stay for our November wedding. Everyone was beyond helpful and kind. Thanks to Mrs. Dolly, Steve, and Mary for making what could have been a very stressful time for a bride a complete breeze. If I had to choose again, I would choose the Louisiana Castle everytime. All of our guest had nothing but good things to say and they all had such a good time. The food was delicious. It was so special to be able to spend the night as well. I have nothing but good things to say.

They get 2 stars because in the end, I enjoyed my wedding. BUT there are several BIG red flags. Here is a list of a few of them. First off, Mary is a headache. I could have done without her. When we arrived, the A/C was not on in the Juliet Suite or the groom's room. It was nasty hot and I was sweating while trying to get my makeup done. I wasn't allowed to be a part of the ceremony rehearsal. Mary made me sit inside the thrown room while she told everyone what they were supposed to do. I had a special order they were going to walk down and Mary told them something different so the ceremony procession was a mess!! The DJ was not there to play my ceremony music so Mary had to step in, which would have been fine if she played the music on time. I paid for an extra hour to set up before because I did not like any of the decorations they offered so I brought my own. Mary stated that her staff would be available to help set up. No one helped. We asked for water to be brought up to the Juliet suite because all the girls were hot and sweaty. That took FOREVER! The aisle wasn't swept off so I was dragging pine needles and sticks in my train all the way up to the alter. NOT HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE!! I had to have an usher get his vehicle to drive my elderly guests up and down a giant hill of a driveway. We provided all of our own music for the ceremony and reception. We had each disc labeled along with a list of each song title, artist, and song length. The \"DJ\" aka a girl that sat behind the DJ booth and looked at Pinterest all night did not DJ. I had to go up to her and ask her to shuffle the songs. Four OutKast songs in a row was enough. Mary embarrassed me and my husband during the toast and cutting the cake. When we're supposed to be feeding each other the cake, we asked for forks. She said, \"No, use your fingers.\" Well now we're standing there awkwardly with everyone looking at us with the manager's telling us we're not allowed to have forks. Then, when we were moving to the groom's cake, Mary snatched the glass of champagne out of my husband's hand and said that he wasn't allowed to walk with it to the groom's cake. Their contract states that my family isn't allowed to take home extra food that I paid for. As later told by Mary this was because, \"They didn't want the people to get sick if it wasn't stored properly\" AKA I'm feeding my staff with your food after you leave. It took forever for staff to clear the dinner plates off the tables. My guests had to start stacking them in piles to have room on the table. We did end up using Tina, their cake lady, but I told her I didn't want her decorating. I just asked for 3 plain fondant tiers. I brought ribbon, petals, and cake topper and Mary did a nice job of decorating it. Tina did not make the groom cake. Her portfolio left more to be desired. The end all be all, there were several struggles but my guests had fun, the food was good, and the backdrop is beautiful. I actually have a friend that is engaged and wants her wedding at the castle and I fully support her, but just be aware that this place is a work in progress. My advice if you want this venue - hire all of your own vendors and a wedding planner to deal with Mary.

Mary, the coordinator, works with you to make sure you're staying on a timeline so I got to enjoy my time and rely on Mary to tell me when it was time for a dance, cake cutting, garter toss, etc. The food was delicious as well. I had a few guests tell me it was the best food they've ever eaten at a wedding. The castle pckage includes the food, DJ, standard table centerpiece and chair ribbons, and wedding cake. This made everything so easy for me and I didn't have to worry about finding the vendors on my own. I would recommend the castle to anyone looking for a unique and beautiful location that will blow your guests away.

My sister had her wedding here. And it was absolutely stunning! The venue, atmosphere, and owners were spectacular. The bridal suite was so romantic and inviting. I was jealous that I wasn't staying the night. Every detail was covered by the venue, even midnight snacks for the bride and groom. \rIt was the most beautiful wedding I had ever had the pleasure of attending and being a part of the bridal party. The Louisiana Castle is by far my favorite wedding venue in the south. I would strongly recommend them to everyone who wants a fairytale wedding!0

My sister had her wedding here. And it was absolutely stunning! The venue, atmosphere, and owners were spectacular. The bridal suite was so romantic and inviting. I was jealous that I wasn't staying the night. Every detail was covered by the venue, even midnight snacks for the bride and groom. \rIt was the most beautiful wedding I had ever had the pleasure of attending and being a part of the bridal party. The Louisiana Castle is by far my favorite wedding venue in the south. I would strongly recommend them to everyone who wants a fairytale wedding!0

The concept is really unique, but the execution is absolutely terrible. A wedding day is supposed to be about displaying your lifelong commitment to someone; however, this venue was so overpriced, understaffed, and shockingly not thought out that the event lost every opportunity at being memorable (in a good way). Everything from the sound system, \"dj\" (I put that in quotes because the person playing the music was quite literally the worst), to the abrasive wedding planner, rubbed guests and the wedding party the wrong way. The wedding planner, Mary, came up to the suite while the photographer, makeup artist, and hair stylist were preparing the bride and waved the contract in her face, saying everyone MUST be out of the castle except for the groom and bride by 7:30. My sister laughed it off and tried to diffuse the situation by saying, \"I assure you that nobody wants to be here past 7.\" The groom's cake wasn't what was selected. The rooms were quite filthy. The only enjoyable experience was that there was a wedding and that I was able to witness two lovebirds commitment to each another. So if you are looking to drop some money on a severely underwhelmed wedding with little to no thought, terrible music/ sound system, the rudest staff, then this setting is for you. (I would rate negative stars if I were able.)

The service from the staff was wonderful. They were very concerned about our wishes and wanted to make sure we had our dream wedding. They made sure we had a great time and did their best to avoid any issues (that were in their control). We had a wonderful time! We made awesome memories! I would highly suggest this venue!

Our wedding and the planning process was flawless. Everything was explained to us upfront and in the contract. There were no surprises. You cannot beat the ceremony scenery. It was absolutely gorgeous to walk down the castle steps and have the castle and the woods as the background. The inside reception area is lovely and a cover was recently added to the outdoor patio area. The food was delicious and they provided a large variety. I got many compliments from my guests about the food. Mary, the coordinator, made sure everything flowed smoothly and even came to the rescue when our DJ, Arthur Meyer, did not show up. The in house DJ, provided with the price, did a great job. Overall my guests told me the venue was gorgeous and they had a great time. You cannot beat the price and value.

The castle is a gorgeous venue but on top of that the staff will make you feel like family which is comforting. The food was delicious and still talked about 5 months later. I planned my wedding while I was living in New Orleans, but I knew I'd be moving soon. So it was such a relief to find a place that would organize everything for me. Food, music, flowers, cake, everything. You just have to figure out the alcohol (they don't have a liquor license; I suggest bringing your own) and a photographer. The workers were so nice, and knew exactly how things should go. When to send each bridesmaid down the aisle, etc. Only caution: if you want an elaborate groom's cake I would recommend finding a different baker. The cakes the Castle's baker made were absolutely delicious, but they weren't magazine quality by any stretch. Overall I HIGHLY recommend, especially if you're on a budget.

Our wedding was beautiful. We loved this location and the service we received. The staff were so nice and friendly. We spent the night in the castle and it was a night that we will never forget. The property was amazing and prefect for us. I would recommend the location to anyone.

Let me begin by saying WOW!!!!! Ok where do I begin, everything was so perfect. The food was delicous, the cakes were excellent and made just like I envisioned. Thank you Ms. Viola, the groom's airplane cake was awesome!! The venue in itself was beautiful indoor and out. Whimsical and dreamy. I am very detail oriented and Dolly was very patient with me/us in the whole year it took us to plan for our special day. She was very open and helpful with suggestions at any time of day she made herself available to you. As a bride, you always worry and want things to go perfect, well my day went EXACTLY like I wanted. In fact, Mary the manager and all their workers did her thing and went above and beyond for us that day. I have NO regrets and am VERY satisfied with how everything turned out. Our guests cannot stop RAVING about the beauty of the location, how well organized everything was, and how much fun they had. I cannot say it enough, I am beyond satisfied with the Louisiana Castle. There is nothing I can complain about whatsoever. It was truly a dream come true!!!

Terrible. The castle itself was beautiful\r But as for everything else including staff,and my other vendors was terrible! Wasn't the fairy tale I picked out and over paid for! Even dirty underwear on the bed in the bride suit! Unbelievable

This location is beautiful. Great price. You don't have to worry about food, music, a florist, or a hotel for the wedding night. You may want to bring your own lamp if you want to use the outdoor jacuzzi after dark. The food was delicious. The cake was great. And we had some food put aside to eat later in the night. Would highly recommend.

My husband and myself have owned and managed Louisiana Castle since 1999. If you have not yet , please read the \"History & Love Story\" that tells all about the construction of the Castle, our purchase of it and our improvements over the years .
