Leesa Hayes(other)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-10-2022 Out daughter's wedding and reception were at Louisville Ballroom at Shall We Dance on Saturday, October 22, 2022. It was a perfect day. The ceremony was outside in the the small private courtyard between the bank and the venue. The reception was held inside and was just perfect. We had about 100 guests and Kim dream to work with from the beginning. Everyone commented on how lovely the venue was. I would highly recommend you use them for your upcoming event. Sarah Jestel(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-05-2019 Kimberly was wonderful and her space was ideal for our wedding of ~65 people!! We appreciated Kimberly for going above and beyond to confirm and re-confirm details, times, etc. before the day. We also took dance lessons with Kimberly before the big day and enjoyed every minute. She went above and beyond to help us get the space ready on the day of the wedding (we didn't have a planner) and we had many compliments on how perfect everything looked. Highly recommend! Gina Scarpino(professional)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-11-2018 I do not recommend this venue. Kimberly the owner canceled my event two weeks before. Tickets were sold out and I had people coming from all over the country. She canceled because of her religious views. She still has not refunded my money. Do NOT rent this space. Jasmine Thunder(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-10-2018 My husband and I had an amazing reception at Shall We Dance! During the planning process, we loved that we were able to bring in our own caterers and bar tending services. The floor plan is open and perfect for adjusting into the set up you want, and the bar is absolutely beautiful. All night, our friends and family mingled and danced inside and out with plenty of space. It was beautiful to see the mirrors reflecting back the entire room, and the huge amount of windows allowed for us to see people dancing away the night as anyone stepped outside for fresh air! Highly highly recommended space for a reception! We can’t wait to see photos! Reviewed on 16-10-2018

This venue had a gorgeous reception area. When we went to view it the owner let us know the capacity limit is actually 130 rather than the 150-200 listed on the Knot. If you want a smaller wedding this place would be a wonderful option. They have parking, allow outside vendors, and even setup and breakdown the tables for you. We were even told the price was for a 12 hour time span. Now only if they were bigger! Reviewed on 18-08-2018
Katie Suttles(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-07-2018 The venue was gorgeous, Kim was fantastic to work with, and all of our guests was extremely complimentary. Would absolutely choose this place again, hands down. Thank you, Kim!! Reviewed on 23-07-2018
Lori Hibbs(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-06-2018 We had such an amazing wedding day. Kimberly was so helpful with layouts and suggestions to help make the day run as smoothly as possible and communication was easy and thorough. What sold us was the ability to use their sound system in leu of a DJ and their open catering/alcohol policies. Decorating was simple and easy due to the natural beauty of the location. We had our ceremony in the courtyard and the scenery made for perfect picture opportunities. We had about 80 people and I feel it was the perfect number because it did get a little warm inside at times during the reception, but mostly due to lots of dancing. Reviewed on 14-06-2018
Virginia Johnson(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-04-2018 I have only good things to say! We got married in the courtyard and had our reception inside, and the whole experience was wonderful. Very good value and we had a lot of freedom to use the vendors we wanted. We also had dance lessons with Kimberly and it was amazing! We were horrible at first but she made our first dance memorable and gave us a discount for the wedding. We hope to come back for more dance lessons sometime in the future! Reviewed on 26-04-2018
Kathy Wesley(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-06-2017 My wedding was July 14. It was 95 degrees that day. When I arrived at noon to set up, I was told that they had to have the AC serviced that morning because it wasn't working. When it came time for my wedding at 6, there were big floor fans going and the room was just comfortable Once we got 100 people in there, it was unbearable. The fans were drying out my cake and blowing decorations and guests dresses. A family member called Kim, but she refused to come check to see if the AC was, in fact, working. She told me I had fans. My guests were very uncomfortable the entire evening and even though I had the space until midnight, my guests left well before 11 because they couldn't stand the heat in there. I think the space is beautiful and was perfect for my event. However, I felt that after they were paid, the customer service ended. The extreme heat was dangerous and I'm very disappointed that it wasn't even acknowledged. I was asked to do this review and told them that I wanted to do a review but wanted it to be good. But that I would have to say something about their lack of response. They never responded to that either. So here is the review. Reviewed on 01-08-2017
Brianne Pfeiffer(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 05-11-2016 Our wedding was held here on July 22nd 2017. It may have been the hottest day of summer but our wedding was fabulous! Kimberly was awesome to work with and always available for any questions. They made it easy to use whatever vendor we wanted and there were no surprises close to the big day! The linens were gorgeous, the outside space is well maintained, and although it got hot (there's no way to keep it cool when it's 109 heat index), all we got were compliments about how beautiful the space was. HIGHLY recommend hosting your big day here. Plus, the price is so much better than other venues we looked at. All in all, we are so so happy we chose Shall We Dance to host our special day! Ashley Caci(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-10-2016 We are so happy with our decision to have our wedding reception at Shall We Dance. After looking around at many other venues, we learned how unique this establishment is. We had the ability to choose all of our vendors and weren't limited to an approved list. They are also very accommodating about bringing in outside decor. This was very important to us as we really wanted to put our personal touch on our reception. We live out of town, so were limited to just a few opportunities to walk the space and meet with Kimberly, the owner. She was incredibly patient with myself, my parents and our wedding coordinator. We were asking questions up until the week of the wedding and knew we could always depend on her to get back to our phone calls or emails. She was also very accommodating when we wanted to stop by the venue to refresh our memory of the space. The venue itself is so beautiful and functional. The leaves just started to turn around our wedding, so the setting in Anchorage made for absolutely stunning photos. We had about 110 guests and about 10 staff members. We were very happy with that size, but they advertise that they can seat 130 inside. We loved the outdoor area which gave us the opportunity have a cigar and bourbon bar outside after the dance floor open. It was also nice having access to free and easy parking options for our guests. In addition to Kimberly's responsiveness, she also was extremely helpful on the day of our reception. She helped with the set-up of the tables and provided feedback on various layouts. She also came back after our reception to help our coordinator and the other vendors clean up and close down the space. She provided great recommendations on tent, table and other types of rentals. Everyone had such a fun time at our reception! We also loved having the ability to walk across the street to the Village Anchor after the reception. It's the perfect place if you want a unique and flexible venue where you can really make your day your own! Reviewed on 29-11-2016

Anonymous (wedding party)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-10-2017 My daughter had her wedding reception here in June, and it was wonderful! It's a beautiful venue, and Kimberly was fantastic to work with. When I had a question, or wanted to come by, Kimberly always responded so quickly. She was so helpful, and definitely goes \"above and beyond\" what I had expected. The ballroom has tables and chairs included - that was awesome. Linens are available for an extra (very reasonable) charge. The sound system worked great, everything was very clean and the venue itself is just beautiful. The setting in anchorage is so pretty as well. I felt the cost was very reasonable and our experience with Kimberly and the \"Shall We Dance\" ballroom was awesome. I have already recommended \"Shall We Dance\" to others, and I will definitely use this venue again. Everything was great! Reviewed on 03-08-2016

DonnaRuth Paul(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 13-11-2016 We chose this venue for our January wedding and were beyond pleased with every aspect. Very little decoration is needed as the mahogany bar and woodwork throughout are beautiful as is. Kimberly was very helpful, answered our questions, assisted in arrangement of the tables, and worked with our individual requests. The location is easy to access but very quaint and adds to the overall appeal. Our guests were impressed as well and we have heard nothing but rave reviews about our day in large part due to this venue. The pricing is beyond reasonable for all that is included. We were able to have food and drink of our choice without forced restrictions on catering as well. We would highly recommend this venue to any couples looking for that special place for their special day. Reviewed on 18-02-2016

The inside offered more than enough space for food, dancing and guest seating. Pricing was very accommodating with tables, chairs, and sound system. The owners were able to help decide seating arrangements with my guest size. I needed minimal decorating because the building is so beautiful. It has hardwood floors, dimming lights in the ceiling and lovely woodworked dropped down ceiling. I received a lot of compliments on how classy it was. Highly recommend to any bride. I was the mother-of-the-groom and this was a perfectly beautiful venue for the rehearsal dinner. Kimberly was very helpful in giving us advice and helping us to arrange our tables to best suit our buffet dinner and seat our guests comfortably. The location in Anchorage was less than a 5 minute drive from the church is Middletown so we couldn't have selected a more convenient location. I found it to be both elegant and quaint. The caterer I used suggested this location and we loved it. . Reviewed on 06-08-2015
Heather (bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-06-2014 I LOVE the look of this place, it's absolutely beautiful! I cut my guest list just so we could have the reception here! They are wonderful when it comes to food and drink, little to no limitations, which was the issue I ran into with other venues (required caterer and such *rolls eyes*). Not only that, but they are in the heart of Anchorage; we got so many beautiful pictures! I only had 2 small issues with the venue: first, it was HOT on my wedding day, and even with the air turned all the way down, we still had guests complaining of the heat. Second, their TV could only run a slideshow off an HDMI connection and because I had the file on a flash drive, I did not get to play our slideshow that I'd spent hours putting together :(. The price keeps them competitive; it's not bad, but it's not great either. Reviewed on 09-07-2014
