Steeped in history and nestled along the rolling countryside of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Lovingston Winery is a wedding venue located in Lovingston, Virginia. Established over 115 years ago, this estate blends the peaceful simplicity of the countryside with glorious vines spanning for miles. The family-run business strives to create a sense of calm here, offering couples a home away from home for their once-in-a-lifetime event.
Lovingston Winery has multiple locations to support the ceremony and reception festivities. All spaces are complete with vineyards and mountain views to form the backdrop to the romantic affair. Our daughter wanted to be married surrounded by the beauty found in the hills of Virginia. There is no finer display of that beauty than Lovingston Winery. The minute we arrived; we knew we had found a special place. It was not hard to imagine our daughter’s wedding under the gorgeous oak tree standing tall in front of the 1900’s farmhouse. Being able to stay at the farmhouse during the wedding weekend, added so much convenience and precious family time together. The luxurious bridal suite was a highlight for sure, providing peaceful rest for the bride and excellent lighting for her to get ready. We fell in love with the entire property so much that we held the rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception all at Lovingston Winery. Tessa and Wes are personable and eager to assist guests in any way. They promptly provided anything we may have forgotten, seamlessly filling in gaps we had overlooked. We look forward to visiting Lovingston for events in the future. Highly, highly recommend this venue! Reviewed on 21-01-2024

Tessa was absolutely amazing to work with. We booked with Lovingston before the barn had even been broken ground on. The venue was amazing and one of the biggest selling points was being able to stay on property all weekend and feel like it was a wedding weekend instead of a wedding day. Super communicative and responsive in all aspects of working with them. Could not recommend them highly enough Reviewed on 05-12-2023

Our wedding at Lovingston Winery was out of a dream. The setting is beautiful, with the vineyards in the foreground and the mountains in the background. We were able to have our whole wedding party stay on site which made the weekend so much smoother. The Tupelo House (event barn) is absolutely beautiful and such a fun place to dance the night away. Tessa and Wes were kind and helpful the entire time, and Tessa was so gracious with my many emails asking about small details for other vendors. They made us feel so welcome and valued, and we're so grateful for all of their help in making our day so special! Reviewed on 07-11-2023

We were overwhelmed at the perfection of Lovingston Winery in Lovingston, Virginia where our granddaughter was married two weeks ago. From the beautiful home where the brides family stayed to the grooms home, just down the path you never have to leave. The grounds are amazing as you have the Vineyard as a backdrop, the chef on site gives each person at the rehearsal dinner a choice of two amazing meals, and that is even made more amazing with their new barn for the reception. You cannot go wrong by choosing this venue at Lovingston Winery. Reviewed on 01-09-2023

Lovingston Winery was the perfect venue for our June wedding. The farmhouse and the cabin were both extremely clean and homey. We loved that we had access to the property Friday-Sunday and were able to host our rehearsal dinner there with friends and family. Tessa and Wes were helpful throughout the whole wedding planning process but especially during the wedding weekend. They were able to loan us last minute items we forgot to pack and were willing to help move chairs from the ceremony to rehearsal area during cocktail hour. We received so many compliments about how beautiful the venue was. We are looking forward to going back and renting the cabin for weekend. Overall, the wedding package was affordable, and we would do it all over again! Reviewed on 29-06-2023

Lovingston Winery was the perfect venue for my niece’s wedding. It’s a beautiful property, surrounded by sprawling vineyards and nature. The farmhouse is lovely, very clean and so homey, and the outbuildings add a nice mix of quaint and rustic. It’s a great option for having the whole bridal party together but traditionally separate. The owners were on-site, helpful during set-up and available for challenges or questions. I definitely recommend Lovingston Winery for the perfect Hallmark wedding, or any other event. Cannot say enough good things about this place!!!My husband and I got married at the winery on June 1Oth, and it was perfect. The venue is beautiful, clean, warm and inviting, the weather was absolutely perfect, and our guests loved it. We got countless compliments on our location + venue choice. But most impactful to us was the owners. Wes and Tessa are such a beautiful couple and so wonderful to work with. They were more than our venue’s owners, they became friends and encouragers to us throughout our wedding planning, and were so incredibly helpful on the day of. We can’t thank them enough. They truly treated us all like family, and were more than happy to help us in any way they could. You can truly see their hearts for serving others, and it elevated our whole experience beyond measure.I’m a VA wedding planner/coordinator, and I can honestly say that you will have a hard time finding a better venue in Virginia. I’ll be recommending the Lovingston Winery to everybody I know.If you’re still reading this, it’s your sign to book your wedding here :)With love, Will & Cait Parker <3 Reviewed on 19-06-2023

Bethany Osterman(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-10-2023 The pictures got me curious, but my conversation with Tessa really sealed our choice for using Lovingston Winery as our wedding venue. The pictures are absolutely stunning, apart from the season. The on-site accommodations are well-appointed for most - if not all - of your wedding party. The nearby bed and breakfasts and house rentals are plentiful, and the location is in a great spot situated between Charlottesville and Lynchburg. We will be having our wedding here in fall 2023 and mostly planning it remotely from the DC area. I preemptively wrote out approximately one thousand questions for Tessa. She quickly responded to my first inquiry, even on a Sunday evening, when venues typically don’t send out responses on Sunday or Monday. We quickly scheduled a call and she called me on time. She answered my barrage of questions with far more detail than I anticipated, from ceremony sites to accommodations and logistics. It felt like I was talking to family, which in a world of frigid wedding commercialization, was exactly what we were looking for. She even followed up with a laydown of what we discussed with additional photos - so much appreciated. After weeks of contacting venues and being on the fence agonizing for days over this one or that one, it took one short conversation with my fiancé to determine this was everything we had been looking for after speaking with Tessa. Start to finish, it was barely more than an hour between when she and I first spoke and when I called her back to say we wanted to book the winery, and less than 24 hours after I had found the place.Tessa is also confident enough in the venue that she’s planning her own wedding there as well. I believe that says a lot about the place, beyond what the visuals show. And did I mention, their wine is award-winning? If you are doing a winery wedding and buying it in bulk, you don’t want the distracting moment of the day to be how bad the wine was. Zero worries about that here.I am incredibly excited to get to have our wedding at this venue. If you’re even curious, try contacting them to see if it’s the right fit for you! Reviewed on 14-03-2022
A Midwest girl at heart with a passion for art, horses, and finding diamonds in the rough, my family and I fell in love with everything the Virginian countryside offers: rolling hills, beautiful mountains, and a life enjoyed outside. From the moment I first set foot on the property of Lovingston Winery, I couldn't help but daydream about where horses could roam, how many oak trees were just begging for swings, and how a wedding in the vines and a party on the knoll would be more memorable than I could ever imagine. Above all else, I want to share this place and those dreams with others
