We set our expectations high, but your home exceeded the bars and all our dreams! Being from Arizona, we relied on the the photos which are accurate, but don't compare to the amazing space and views this house provides. From the moment you enter the house, your breathe is taken away by the amazing view and beautiful decor. Your staff, Liz, Joanna and Kyle went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. Liz was responsive through the whole process and provided home information and answered all our questions before arriving. Joanna and Kyle were on the spot to take care of the property during our stay.This home is an event planners dream location for beach weddings and was designed with events in mind. Many of our event vendors said it was the best vacation event house on Ocean Isle Beach. The 12 private bedrooms with their own bathrooms and large kitchen and social areas accommodated our large group nicely. We stayed towards the end of October and it was like having our own private beach. Weather was perfect. Being off season many shops and restaurants in the area had limited hours, which was to be expected. Highly recommend this property for family reunions, holidays, weddings and events.So glad we chose your home.One Happy Family

The Dream Maker was perfect for a destination beach wedding! Liz was great to work with, provided us with a list of vendors, and answered all of our questions promptly. Her customer service was top notch. The property was beautiful and provided an amazing backdrop for our special week. We had plenty of room for all of our guests and the beds were super comfy. OIB is not commercialized which helped give our event the secluded, private feel we were looking for. We will definitely use Luxury Lodging by Laura again for future family gatherings.

The Dream Maker was perfect for a destination beach wedding! Liz was great to work with, provided us with a list of vendors, and answered all of our questions promptly. It is an amazing location and we saved a ton of money compared to what we would have spent for a single day event here. This property is fabulous, breathtaking views and immaculate and professionally decorated interior. I wish I could give this business zero stars. We were supposed to have our wedding here in May 2020 but ended up having to cancel due to me working the frontlines of the pandemic and the limits that were set on social gatherings. I hoped to push the date back a year to Summer 2021 but they wouldn't allow it even though they had summer dates available showing on their VRBO listing. They would not provide me with peak season months to reschedule even though I originally booked and payed extra for peak season months. They would not give me a refund because I signed a non-refundable contract. I understood this but the pandemic was an unprecedented time and in my opinion it was completely greedy of them to take all our money and the solutions they offered us were what I thought, so discourteous. They offered me to still come for our original May date after knowing I've had multiple exposures to COVID everyday and could possibly expose their business and my entire family... Or they offered two or three non-summer dates they had open between the months of October-March (for our beach wedding) after we had already paid additional money for a summer month booking; and as if it is just that easy to move a destination wedding (we live in Wisconsin). In my opinion they show no care for their costumers and had no problem taking our entire payment with absolutely no use of their business.

Perfect beach weddingI am so glad we chose to do a beach wedding and ever more grateful we chose to do it at The Dream Maker. First I have to give a shout out to the team at Luxury Lodging By Laura who manages this home especially, Liz. They were so quick to respond. We booked the home only five months before the wedding and we live in Ohio so we were a little nervous at first about having enough time but they referred awesome vendors (all of our vendors came from their preferred list and that made it so easy to plan because all of the vendors were familiar with the home). The home had 10 bedrooms so we had our family and wedding party stay at the house. Everyone paid for a portion of their bedroom making the cost of our venue so much more affordable than a traditional wedding. I have to say my only regret is that we only rented the house for four nights and I really wish we would have stayed longer. Our friends and family spent countless hours just hanging at the beach, pool and tiki barâŠwe really never needed to leave the house Other than eating out one night and hitting the bars a couple nights. We fell in love with Ocean Isle Beach. My favorite people from high school, college and out of town family all got to know each other which was so special. The day after the wedding we hung out at the house and beach and it was so fun to bond and hear everyoneâs stories about the wedding night. It was truly the greatest experience of my life.. We were married in April and the weather was amazing. I also have to add that the vendors were so reasonably priced. We had a really nice meal for under $30 a person and that same meal wouldâve been over $100 in Ohio. If youâre thinking about a beach wedding, just go ahead and call Liz and Laura You will never regret staying at The Dream Maker and Iâm sure all of the other Luxury Lodging By Laura wedding homes are just as nice.

We had our destination wedding in Ocean Isle Beach at Southern Comfort home. We planned this from Michigan and booked this venue unseen. We had to heavily rely on reviews and calls with the Luxury lodging team. When we arrived there were a few issues such as the cleanliness of the house, our feet were black as soon as we walked in, bathrooms still had hair in and around them, the towels the house had us rent had several stains on them, the microwave did not work on one side of the house, the power went out on half of the house and the trash bins were completely full from the previous guests. Due to the several issues I had to manage when we arrived I will give this a four star rating. Everything turned out well for our wedding, the house does give a vendor recommended list, however I found some of those vendors to not have the expectations needed for the wedding while having discussions with them and we utilized our wedding planner for better vendor options. We recommend having the pool heated, we stayed May 12-16th and it was perfect temperature for that time of the year. We enjoyed having the beach right there and also being able to sit on the balcony and just enjoy the view. We were able to fit 12 cars in the drive way for all of our guests staying at the house. Overall we would recommend this for future guests.

Wow!!! It is difficult for me to put into words how amazing my stay was at this house. The memories that were at this house were unforgettable and every aspect of this home was perfect. When we opened the door for the first time, we were blown away by the flawless architectural & interior design, high-end appliances, and unparalleled cleanliness. However, as we began our stay in this home, we realized that it was truly so much more. EVERY item in the house was of the highest quality and in mint condition. I had the best sleep in this home than I have had in a very long time. The bed sheets were crisp and cozy, the mattresses had the perfect amount of give, and the pillows were pristine. Each time I slid into bed, I would instantly enter the most peaceful sleep. There was a pleasant aroma that filled the home, contributing to the truly enlightening environment. This home could also not have been more perfect for accommodating large amounts of people. The design of the house gave everyone plenty of privacy and personal space but also attracted people to fun communal areas where we would watch television, play games, or just laugh the night away. It really pulled people together, deepening the bonds of our group. The games upstairs were a great way to entertain and often fostered some pretty serious competition. There was more than enough room for us all, and every single room was luxurious, spaceouse, and comfortable. Each bathroom was well designed, with high-pressure showers, lots of room, and many aesthetically pleasing qualities. The complimentary soap that the owners provided us with was also phenomenal. It smelled nice and was restorative for my hair and skin. The towels at the house were very fluffy and luscious. The pool area was one of my favorite places at the house. The pool was perfect for frolicking and was kept extraordinary clean by the amazing crew. The setup was perfect for a combination of hanging out at the beach, hanging out by the pool, cooking, and eating. It made for the most incredible beach days and eccentric evenings. Moreover, the sense of tranquility, happiness, and joy fostered one of the greatest weekends of my life. I will never forget waking up and looking out the window at the breathtaking beach-front view or sitting on the porch late at night listening to the waves and watching the stars. I wish I could give this home more stars, but sadly five is all I am able to give. I am eternally grateful for whoever owns it and the obvious care and love they put into it.

I had my dream wedding at Once Upon a Tide in September and it was so incredible! We booked the house before seeing it in person, and Laura was right, if you love the pictures then seeing it in person will blow you away. The house was HUGE! And the perfect venue for a wedding. We had a small wedding of only 44 so it was nice that all of the guests had the option to stay there. I never really thought of having my wedding at a beach house but after seeing this venue I knew it was the one. We wanted the beach but didn't even think this was an option. Not only was the wedding perfect but our entire stay was just as beautiful. We stayed for 8 days so it was like our honeymoon included. The best part was having family and friends there for more then one day. I will absolutely be going back to the house just for the views! Thanks again to Laura and her team!!

We booked the house before seeing it in person, and Laura was right, if you love the pictures then seeing it in person will blow you away. The house was HUGE! And the perfect venue for a wedding. My daughter was married at Southern Comfort on October 2, 2021. The venue and home were perfect for what my daughter and fiance were looking for for their special day. They wanted a beach venue and Southern Comfort was steps from the beach and ocean and the home and accommodations were spacious and perfect for all of our family and friends who stayed at the home. The gorgeous deck overlooking the beach and ocean was a spectacular backdrop for the ceremony and reception dancing and the reception on the pool deck was more than we could have asked for. Everyone at Luxury Lodging By Laura were always very responsive if we had any questions or concerns. If we are ever back in Ocean Isle, we would not hesitate to stay at Southern Comfort or any of the other homes by Luxury Lodging By Laura.

My daughter was married at Southern Comfort on October 2, 2021. The venue and home were perfect for what my daughter and fiance were looking for for their special day. They wanted a beach venue and Southern Comfort was steps from the beach and ocean and the home and accommodations were spacious and perfect for all of our family and friends who stayed at the home. The gorgeous deck overlooking the beach and ocean was a spectacular backdrop for the ceremony and reception dancing and the reception on the pool deck was more than we could have asked for. Everyone at Luxury Lodging By Laura were always very responsive if we had any questions or concerns. If we are ever back in Ocean Isle, we would not hesitate to stay at Southern Comfort or any of the other homes by Luxury Lodging By Laura.

We have searched and were looking for a wedding house for the week that allowed for the number of people and beach access that we were looking for when we came across Laura. IT WAS THE BEST GEM OF A FIND. Due to COVID, the number of people changed but she was able to accommodate 80 people for the day of the wedding. It was an absolute DREAM. Laura helped us with having tables, chairs, extra towels,corn-hole boards, beach chairs/umbrellas, backlighting, etc. This team was a pleasure to work with and not to mention how gorgeous the homes are. We can't recommend it enough!

This was the perfect venue for a wedding!! My wedding was November 7 and everything turned out perfect! The staff was absolutely amazing and answered ever question I had in a timely manner and very professionally!! My original wedding date was May 16 but due to Covid I had to postpone. Laura and her crew did an amazing job with opening up dates for me and were beyond supportive! Both my family and my husbands family stayed in the house for 5 nights and enjoyed everything so much, they want to do a reunion next year!! By far the best Venue!! My dream wedding was a dream come true!!

I had spent many hours searching for amazing beach houses for my clients. The Luxury Lodging by Laura homes are the perfect place for them to celebrate their marriages and start the beginning of the lifeâs together surrounded by all their loved ones. Each house is spacious and offers everything they need for their wedding day and family vacation all in one place. Laura and her team are simply amazing!!! From day one a year out from our wedding she was nothing but spectacular. We had our wedding at Once Upon a Tide and the property itself is stunning. Having family all across the country and having the ability to allow all of our family of 40 - 50 people to be able to stay in one place, was truly memorable. Laura and her team know how to make you feel comfortable and at ease, as wedding planning can be difficult. Laura Ann was always available with any questions or concerns that we had.No matter what the situation was, they were always willing to work with us! And as for the property and the wedding itself, I had promised my wife that i would give her the wedding of her dreams and without Laura that would not have been possible. We were able to have every single thing done at the house and not have to worry about any additional needs for anything. The views are stunning, having your own private pool and deck and walkway to the beach were awesome. We literally created memories that will last a lifetime and it has been a month since we got married and I still cannot believe that Laura and her team were able to make our dreams come true. I would recommend Laura and her team to anyone and I know that we will be going back and having a family reunion at the property again!!Laura and Laura Ann I cannot thank you enough for everything you did for Rose and I and we will be back soon!!!

Our daughterâs wedding was performed on the beachfront in front of âThe Dream Maker. â Everything was absolutely PERFECT! The Dream Maker house provided spacious Lodging for the entire wedding party with great amenities! We also held the dinner reception and dancing in the beautiful back yard area that also includes a pool. The house is decorated so beautiful and is arranged so perfect which made everything so easy and provided a great setting for pictures. Of course I have to mention Laura Fisher for her kindness and concern when trying to find the perfect house for our daughterâs wedding and our wedding planner Laura Ann Scinto for her expertise and knowledge to make our daughterâs wedding definitely a âDream Makerâ.

We had our wedding at Southern Comfort on Ocean Isle Beach and it couldn't have been more perfect! Bringing our families together was very important to us and the house easily accommodated 32 of us. The two kitchens, porches, pool, oceanfront access, proximity to the pier and restaurants made for a great vacation for our guests in the days leading up to the wedding. The house is simply gorgeous and our needs were thoughtfully considered with all plans executed flawlessly! Getting married on the beach was an unforgettable moment. The oceanfront deck was perfect for dancing at the reception.We also highly recommend the house manager, Laura Ann, as a wedding planner. She went above and beyond to make our day special. We couldn't have done it without her! She listened to our vision and guided us every step of the way!Southern Comfort holds a special place in our hearts. We wouldn't change a thing! Hope to book it again one day for an anniversary or family reunion!

She is one of the most compassionate people I have ever gotten the chance to meet. My family, friends and I were all able to stay at The Memory Maker, and what a dream come true. My family and my husband's family were not only able to meet, but form an amazing lifelong bond while enjoying the beautiful beachfront home. The event was almost a year ago and the relationships that were formed during that week are still going strong today. The inside decor provided so many great photo opportunities!!Of course, the outside did as well!!We spent time with our friends and family, which is what we wanted the most! This entire property is nothing short of breathtaking! We were married on the beach in front of The Memory Maker, had our reception pool-side, and spent 6 amazing nights here. This house is pure luxury--the appliances, the bedding, the furniture--everything top notch! Everything was very clean and well maintained, and the location at the end of a dead-end road was great! The house was perfect for us and the 5 families we had staying with us--the perfect combination of large bedrooms, each with its own bathroom plus large common areas to accommodate all of us hanging out together. Laura was so nice to work with! She even sent me a text the morning of my wedding, wishing me a beautiful wedding day--such a sweet, personal gesture from the owner of this amazing house! We certainly hope to return someday!

Absolutely AMAZING, from the house to the beach to our wedding day.Being in the military we move a lot, our families are spread out all over the country and many friends throughout the years we had to find a way that we could gather all our family and closet friends in one area that was affordable and feasible to travel to. My father came up with the idea to rent a house in the Carolina's and from there we started our search. Immediately into our search on Weddingwire.com we found Luxury Lodging by Laura and the Memory Maker, finding out that they had a few more homes to choose from and that was when we found love at first look online. We stopped looking after we found the homes we were envisioning for our wedding week. Laura & Laura Ann were phenomenal to work with from day one. We choose the Southern Comfort home and booked site unseen so this was a big step for us in wedding process. However we were in great hands, Both Laura's were quick with their email responses to my million and one questions, they provided me with extra pictures so I could see the layout of the miscellaneous items I had inquired about. Upon arrival on 4/29 the house was gorgeous, very luxurious and the location right on the beach was incredible. These homes are not your ordinary homes, they are top of the line from the high end kitchen appliances to the decor was top notch. We loved the 2 kitchens which came in hands for cooking and eating. The first porch was at perfect height to watch the sunrise and sunsets on the balcony. The second balcony was perfect for getting away to read a book or have some alone time. The layout of the house was perfect, bedrooms were very roomy and convenient to have every room with their own shower and bathroom. We paid for the pool to be heated which was a great choice during April/May time frame, allowed everyone to swim throughout the evening when the sun went down and cooled down. The outdoor showers were great to hose off from beach and pool and the outside bathroom was a smart idea. The wedding day was perfect area for our 51 guest (including vendors) plenty of room to host. The location of the house was near 2 hotels in walking distances (2 houses away). We were able to set up our tables and chairs under the porch to avoid rain without it being overly crowded. The local vendors were also accommodating. Our photographer was able to capture such beautiful photos, can't wait to share the rest of our photos with the Laura's. If you are contemplating a family reunion, wedding or gathering and need a destination this would be your spot! Southern Comfort has everything you need, and I can't wait to return to OIB again! OIB has everything within 10 min drive or 2 min walk from the Southern Comfort home, great shops, arcades, ice cream, restaurants and mini golf. Great place to keep the kids busy and hang out and catch up on relaxation and family/friends.

Gorgeous, luxury home we rented over Memorial Day weekend. Sleeps 26, 6 bedrooms, 7 bathrooms. We had our reception in the backyard, it fit 6 banquet tables comfortably with room for 1-2 more. Our family owned a vacation home at Ocean Isle Beach for several years when the opportunity presented itself for us to custom finish our first event home â The Memory Maker Ocean Isle Beach. I envisioned what it would be like to create the perfect location for couples to gather their family and friends to experience our love for Ocean Isle Beach. That level of care has gone into the finishing of each of the five homes in our collection. Luxury Lodging by Laura team members are in contact with our guests to answer any questions and handle any needs leading up to and throughout your stay.
