Macatawa Golf Club is a wedding and event venue located in Holland, MI. Operating under Red Water Events, this setting offers an array of in-house services for you to bring your vision to life. With multiple event spaces, as well as indoor and outdoor options, Macatawa Golf Club can host events with over 250 guests. This private golf course features lush trees and rolling hills throughout the property, ensuring a peaceful setting for you to host your big day. After starting your day in the get-ready suite, you and your wedding party can make your way to the outdoor lawn area for your ceremony. Tranquil ponds and peaceful pathways are present throughout the grounds, ideal for your photo sessions after you say "I do." You will then have a variety of indoor spaces for your reception. The largest setting, the Macatawa Ballroom, sports a blend of classic elegance and modern, minimalist details to fit seamlessly with your wedding theme. Exposed wooden beams and stylish chandeliers decorate the vaulted ceiling, while large windows provide a light, airy atmosphere. The open floor plan allows you to create any seating arrangement you want. The intimate Club Room and Live Golf Lounge are also available for smaller gatherings or prenuptial events. In-house catering is available, with a menu of appetizers, entrees, and dessert options to give your celebration a mouthwatering finish. The built-in bar area will be ready with a list of beer, wine, and cocktail options for you and your loved ones. Macatawa Golf Club can also provide votive candles, floor-length white linens, and centerpieces to complete your wedding theme.

We recently rented out the Club room at Macatawa Legends and it was perfect for our department's Christmas party of approximately 50 people. Lacey was fantastic to work with, the food was terrific and the round tables were great for conversation.

We used MGC for our wedding reception. Venue is beautiful. A lot of our guests commented to us on how nice the venue was and the view of the golf course. Lacey was fantastic to work with and also very responsive!

We had our small wedding here in the club room. Everything from our first contact with Lacey until our final goodbyes for the night were superb. The view, the food, the ease of everything located in one venue and so pretty, so classy, so perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better place for our wedding!!! Five stars

I would recommend the Macatawa Golf Club for your wedding or wedding rehearsal evernt. We utilized the Golf Simulation room for our son and future daughter in laws rehearsal dinner. The food was delicious and the room was set up to make everyone feel special. Thank you for the great service.

We worked with Lacey all throughout planning our wedding. I emailed with her a lot, and had an in person meeting with her before the wedding. We were also able to set up our decor the day before the wedding (not always possible, but was awesome!!). All the staff was super helpful and kind. We also had our rehearsal dinner here!!Food was great, we did not attend the tasting. We had donuts for dessert and they were a hit as well!This venue is gorgeous inside and out. The only complaint I have is how hot it go during dancing, I expected it to be cooler. Maybe there’s actually not AC? And maybe we should have just opened some doors for airflow too. The balcony is beautiful and was perfect for people who didn’t want to dance, since it was a little a quieter. We also set up corn hole out there, which our guests enjoyed. We did not get ready in the dressing rooms since you can’t get there until 11am, but we did get dressed in there and that is where we all came out of for the ceremony. The natural light in there is amazing!! Perfect for getting ready/dressed pics! Overall, a great venue!! I would recommend to anyone!!

Gorgeous venue! Lacey was super helpful and very quick to answer any questions we had. She also quickly helped with some last minute additions and a special bar request from the groom. Food was delicious and many guests told us the cupcakes were the best they've ever had.

The reception space is modern, open and super neutral to work with any type of design elements you want! The food, catering staff, and all other workers come with rave reviews and were a pleasure to work with. The course has now become private so it limits you ability to take photos specifically on the course which was something we were hoping to do but we were able to find work arounds! Overall would highly recommend this venue location and even use as a ceremony space as well--ours was simply beautiful!

This venue was great for our wedding reception. We loved working with Lacey throughout the planning process. I was very happy every time that we met with her as she went above and beyond and made everything work for us. The venue is beautiful and we loved the outdoor deck area for our guests to enjoy. It's also perfect that it's a golf course because we were able to sneak out for some beautiful golden hour photos! Our food was cold and the AC didn't work that day but everything else was good.

This venue is incredible! I cannot speak highly enough after our wedding in July 2022. Lacey was on top of every single detail, offered her expertise but made sure to respect and fulfill our vision, and was available to help us with any and everything. The venue itself is stunning. All our guests kept asking how we found it because they were so impressed! The space was functional as well as beautiful and met all our needs from getting ready to tearing up the dance floor! The staff were friendly and passionate and provided excellent service. Everything about Macatawa was absolutely wonderful, and I absolutely recommend them to anyone for any kind of event!

MCG was amazing to work with start to finish! Lacey went above and beyond to communicate with us and always looked out for our best interest. We were super happy with our wedding but the food could have been better. Unfortunately all of our steaks were undercooked. We are people who appreciate medium rare steak but these were mostly rare and many guests sent them back or didn’t even touch them at all. As a couple who spent a lot of time thinking about food and a lot of money on the food, that was the only reason we’d give 4 stars rather than 5. Everything else was perfect and all staff we dealt with were very kind and accommodating!

The Macatawa Golf club was an absolutely STUNNING location to hold our wedding. The staff was super nice and accommodating. The set up was exactly how I wanted it and Lacey was very thorough with her communication and answering all my questions! My only disappointment was that the golf course was made private a few months before our wedding so we were no longer able to take golf carts out on the course for pictures like we had been told we could and planned on. Despite this, it was still an absolutely magical day. The guests had tons of fun trying out the live golf area downstairs!

We absolutely LOVED working with Lacey and her team! They helped make our day absolutely perfect! The timeliness in the communication, attention to detail and friendliness of each person we interacted with - they made planning and preparing for our big day so simple and enjoyable! The venue is gorgeous and Lacey was extremely helpful and accommodating throughout the entire process. The staff on the night of the wedding and reception was amazing! The bartenders kept the lines at a minimum and did a fantastic job. The wait staff was great and more than willing to help out when little things came up that needed to be addressed. I didn't have to ask twice for anything. What a great group of people!!The food was delicious and everyone was very complementary on all of it! We've had many guests tell us it was the best wedding they've ever attended and the best wedding food they've ever had. I definitely recommend Macatawa Golf Club to anyone looking for a great venue!

Although our wedding was perfect, there were some flaws. Up to the day of Lacey was awesome to work with, she was quick to respond and easy to work with. Unfortunately we did not see much of her that day. She told us not to hire a wedding planner because that was her job to run the day of for us. Our officiant's wife actually helped during our ceremony and I did not see Lacey at all. Which doesn't seem like a big deal but our DJ was not playing music as guests arrived and we needed someone to take care of this and didn't know where she was. We asked her to set up my train before I walked down the isle and she was not there to help, so the officiant's wife stepped in. She was there after the ceremony to direct guests upstairs. The main reason I only gave four stars was because our food was screwed up. They gave us the wrong chicken entree. Although guests did not know about this mistake, we did and it was upsetting because we picked our menu with a lot of thought. Overall the food was great but they took the food away right away even though I requested that their be an announcement made to have seconds but instead the workers took the food to the back and filled up take out containers to take home. We also requested the cake to be cut right away so people could eat dessert immediately after dinner but we had to go find someone to ask them to put it out. Lastly the bartender told the DJ to make an announcement that last call was at 10:30 even though we paid extra to have the bar open until 11, again may not seem like a big deal but we paid for it and I felt that people began to leave after this announcement was made around 10:15. Overall the venue is beautiful and our guests had nothing but wonderful things to say about our wedding but there were definitely a few things that could have been avoided.

Lacey (the event coordinator) deserves a special shoutout for all of her hard work from pre-wedding planning to even being there working her butt of on the day of. This is a beautiful venue for both ceremony and reception. Our wedding was October 1st of this year and everything was perfect. The dining room is separated from the bar and dancing area which was really nice. Lacey was super helpful with putting together all of the plan details. My only complaint is that pop is not included in the food or bar charge so they ask for a separate credit card for that. When you are paying $5,000+ for food and alcohol that should be included in that cost, in my opinion. Overall we had a great experience and would highly recommend this venue.
