The Madison Loft + Auditorium marries the historic charm of Detroit architecture with modern industrial elegance to create an unforgettable event space. The first space is a state-of-the-art, 130-seat auditorium that’s ideal for presentations or trainings, wedding ceremonies, fireside chats and screenings. The second space, adjacent to the auditorium, is a loft area that accommodates up to 180 guests. The space features an industrial feel, complete with exposed brick and beams, high ceilings and oversized windows. The area is endlessly flexible in its ability to accommodate events of all kinds. The Madison Rooftop is perhaps the most unique and iconic space in Rock Events' portfolio. The multilevel outdoor space overlooks Comerica Park and provides picturesque views of Detroit’s historic downtown architecture and entertainment district. The 7,000 square foot rooftop has modern furnishings, a covered catering area, a full-service bar, a dance floor, and a wraparound balcony, making the rooftop of this 100+ year old building the perfect setting to tie the knot, celebrate a milestone or connect with colleagues.

I had my farewell gathering here and it was absolutely perfect! The catering, bar and event planner was amazing and so easy to work with . The Madison is perfectly situated downtown and very walkable to most of the hotels. The rooftop is gorgeous overlooking Comerica Park! When we toured The Madison for the first time, it was literally love at first sight. The downtown location, the bright loft space and THE ROOFTOP (!!!) was everything we were looking for. We wanted a venue that would allow for our reception to feel less formal but still special, so we opted to have our ceremony in the loft and a strolling reception on the rooftop. Our guests were SO impressed with the venue and the view. Our Event Manager Lyn was amazing. She was extremely accommodating of all of our requests, and always made herself and the venue available when I wanted to visit for planning inspiration.

Booking The Madison for our wedding will forever be one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. The Madison provided such a different vibe than a typical wedding venue. The views, the location and the vibe can't be beat. We worked with Liz, and she couldn't have been more helpful during the planning process. As a wedding planner myself, it was important for me to work with vendors who take the level of customer service as serious as I do. Liz was just perfect. Anytime I had questions or concerns about anything she was quick to reply and get me any info I needed. 10/10 would recommend The Madison and working with Liz from Rock Events!

Day of, she and the staff were phenomenal - she made us feel confident that we could relax and simply enjoy the day. We had so many people say to us “so when I get married, it’ll be here” or “if I could do it over, this is where I would pick.” The venue is unique, intimate and really yours to make. I would choose the Madison and it’s staff without hesitation 10x over. Cannot thank or appreciate them enough!

We had to make the difficult decision to postpone our reception to 2022, and Liz and the Madison were extremely flexible in helping us re-plan our celebration. At that point, we began working with Lauren, and everything continued to go very smoothly! Lauren was extremely responsive, answered any and all questions we had, and was a joy to work with! On the day of our reception, she was available for any help we needed, including helping set up our decorations. Everyone at the Madison made our wedding reception feel effortless, and we are so grateful we worked with their team to plan! The venue itself exceeded all our expectations. We got so many comments during our reception about what a cool space it is, especially the rooftop. Looking for the perfect venue!? It's the Madison. OMG! I don't know where to begin. From the very start of contract talks, they were the most reasonable and down to earth as it relates to all of my questions and concerns. The responses were so timely from the team that I felt like their only customer! The event space is so beautiful, extra decor can be very minimal. We used the loft area for majority of the night because it was a little chilly, but my guests still loved the intimacy of the venue space and the ability to take pictures on the rooftop throughout the evening. Aside from the venue, the staff and suggested vendors exceeded all expectations. It was truly like living in a dream. The food, hospitality, flow of the day, organization of staff, professionalism, flowers, table rentals, etc. I can go on and on. My Planner Brittany allowed me to enjoy the evening while she did all the heavy lifting! Overall I can't name one thing that went wrong! This is definitely my last wedding, but if I had to do it again, I would choose The Madison.

The rooftop won us over the first time we saw it and we hoped for great weather every day leading up and we were so lucky to have the perfect day! The service was absolutely excellent. The bartenders were fun and attentive. Liz made sure our day went smoothly and worked hand in hand with our wedding planner splendidly. The Madison has a recommended list for caterers and we were very pleased with cutting edge cuisine! Everything was better than imagined! Thank you!

The Madison Rooftop is an incredible location for an event. We were thrilled to host our rehearsal dinner there. Perfect evening space, terrific cocktail/bartender service, excellent coordination with caterer (we used Forte Bellanger and food/service was outstanding). Lauren from the Madison was terrific to work with and the Madison couldn’t have been more accommodating, particularly as our wedding was delayed by the pandemic a year. Would host another event there without hesitation — our guests loved the atmosphere and feel; terrific way to kick off the weekend!

We had originally planned on having a 150 wedding at the Madison, but with pandemic uncertainty, we canceled everything an planned an intimate micro ceremony with them. Working with Lyn and Brittany was a dream, they truly made me feel at ease throughout the entire process, we couldn't be more grateful for their guidance along the way. Brittany was onsite for our wedding rehearsal and wedding day. She was so sweet and helpful, everything turned out flawless and we couldn't have done it without her. The views at the Madison are incredible, the rooftop is breathtaking and the loft is such a fun, unique space. But the staff really 2.0's the experience there, truly incredible people. My wedding reception at The Madison was a night to remember. We used the 5th floor for a cocktail reception for guests and they loved the views of the City and Comerica Park. We then invited guests upstairs for dinner on the rooftop and the weather was perfect! I really don’t think my engagement party would’ve been nearly as seamless and beautiful if it wasn’t for the event team at Bedrock! They coordinated every detail for me, every vendor, and anything that you can think of in between. As far as I remember, I didn’t even have to get involved. I highly recommend considering the Madison, The Rooftop can be used in so many different ways, and it’s guaranteed to wow all of your guests. The views are great, and it’s not every day that you get to be on a rooftop in Detroit. I would not hesitate to host another event there!

All the stars for this place and their team. 2020 has been an unbelievably challenging year for wedding planning with the covid pandemic shutting down nearly everything. We were initially booked at the Madison for our ceremony and reception before the pandemic hit. After holding off as long as possible, we eventually decided to move our reception to next year, but keep our ceremony. The big question then was where would we hold it? About 2 weeks before our ceremony date, The Madison opened back up for small weddings (10 or fewer guests), which was perfect for us! They set up audio and video, and ran a high-quality Zoom meeting so the rest of our guests could safely watch remotely. We were their first “mini-wedding” of 2020, and it was flawless. They accommodated our vendors and helped us put together a beautiful ceremony in a very short time period. The communication was excellent and the professionalism was top notch. Shout out to Connie and the rest of the team for their tireless efforts!It ended up pouring rain for most of the day of our ceremony, so the folks at the Madison set us up inside in the loft space. This worked out great because the audio was crystal clear for our virtual guests (no wind inside!). The rain stopped in time for us to still get some amazing photographs up on their spectacular rooftop area after the ceremony, so we really feel like we got the best use possible out of The Madison’s space. Despite all the craziness of this pandemic-filled year we were able to get married at our venue of choice and it was absolutely perfect. We couldn’t recommend this place and their staff more, and we are ecstatic to be coming back here next year for the in-person reception party!

Danielle and the Bedrock event team were extremely helpful every step of the way during our wedding planning. She helped coordinate with our vendors to open the building to come set up. I worked with Liz for the most part and she was amazing. She performed as a default wedding planner and filled the gaps of anything we needed through our planning process. As on site host she helped during the day as well. We had the fire alarm go off requiring an evacuation (building next door had construction issue not Madison) and Liz along with security was helpful in a quick and safe evacuation of our guests for 5 minutes downstairs. We forgot to get a cake cutter and again Liz and the team were there to help out. If you want to rest easy on your wedding day, go with the Madison.

Our coordinator, Liz, went above and beyond to ensure our day was perfect. We had our ceremony in the loft space and our reception on the roof for 150 guests. Lyn was great to work with and very accommodating. We planned the wedding from out of town, but someone was always available to meet with us whenever we were in Detroit. The existing decor and building architecture meant that we didn't need to provide many of our own decorations.For our ceremony we wanted more traditional seating, so we rented 80 chairs to supplement the high top tables/bar stools and couches that exist in the space.We had a strolling reception on the rooftop in early September. We got lucky with a gorgeous sunset, and the whale mural and view of Comerica park provided a great backdrop for our evening. Our guests were mostly from out of town and kept mentioning how cool the space was. Looking through our pictures, having the teal wall behind the dance floor provided great background contrast and made the pictures come out awesome.It was a little bit windy and cool so most of our guests stayed closer to the bar near the heat lamps and fire feature and on the dance floor, but even with everyone on one side of the roof we never felt overly crowded.

We had our ceremony in the loft space and our reception on the roof for 150 guests. Lyn was great to work with and very accommodating. We planned the wedding from out of town, but someone was always available to meet with us whenever we were in Detroit. My husband and I had the most AMAZING experience at the Madison for our wedding. The entire team was extremely helpful, even down to helping stuff favor bags just a few hours before the wedding. I was shocked at how much help they offered. They made the set up and tear down process easy and continuously checked in to see if I needed anything. All of my family who came to help set up was so impressed with the team at the Madison. Even a few weeks after the wedding my husband and I went back to the Madison for a separate event and the security guards and bartenders even recognized us and came to say hello and see how we were doing, it was very sweet. The venue itself made for the most beautiful wedding photos and it was a huge peace of mind to know that if it rained that day that we could use the loft space for the reception. All in all we had a great experience having our wedding here and I highly recommend it to anyone.

First and foremost if you are thinking of having your wedding in Detroit and want a unique and beautiful wedding, the Madison is the place for you. The Madison is the first and only place we looked, as we knew we wanted a rooftop wedding. We had our ceremony and reception both at the venue, with ceremony on the rooftop and reception and cocktail hour inside in the loft area. You will not get a better view anywhere downtown. And the loft area is gorgeous, with exposed brick walls, lots of colors, beams. We had little to worry about in the week leading up to the event, and all in all had a very stress free experience in planning. I have worked with Lyn at Bedrock for very successful corporate events so, naturally, came to her for my daughters’ and son-in-law’s unconventional wedding celebration. We wanted a non-traditional wedding and looked at various venues around the Detroit area. . Immediately after seeing the Madison rooftop we knew we wanted to have our wedding there. We knew it was a big risk if it rained, as we wanted our reception on the rooftop. Let me just say it was definitely worth the risk! We had our ceremony in the loft and a strolling reception on the rooftop and the weather (after raining earlier in the day) turned out to be perfect.Lyn was our venue coordinator, and she was amazing answering all of our questions and paying close attention to detail. We were a bit nervous with all the details that are involved especially in a strolling wedding reception, but Lyn made sure all of our requests were executed flawlessly. We decided to do a \"whale\" themed wedding and Lyn & the Madison building even made us a signature drink with really cute whale accessories for the garnishes for the drinks. The rooftop is hands down the coolest place for a wedding and the majority of our guests told us it was the best wedding they had ever attended. People loved the casual vibe of a strolling reception and no one complained that there were not assigned seats. We were lucky to have a fireworks show at Comerica! It was the most perfect night that my husband and I, and all our guests, will remember forever. Thank you Lyn for everything!! Hurry up and book this venue before it becomes the most popular venue in Detroit!

Our wedding was beautiful here. We had a strolling event for 160 ppl in the loft and it was perfect. The pictures turned out amazing and I couldn’t have asked for more with the rooftop view for photos and the improved industrial vibes in the loft. The 3 bartenders were quick and no one waited for drinks. Only critical things i can say about the venue is .. you can tell they are new to weddings here. We were told their sound system would be loud enough... it wasn’t. You couldn’t hear our first dance song (tear face). So def get a DJ who brings equipment. But be advised that the loft is not that big and it will take up space. If weather permits .. the roof is amazing and spacious. Also go over ALL details with the venue rep the week of that had been discussed from the beginning. She forgot several key things we discussed.. for example I had asked to have a table set up for desserts which they had to hunt down last minute. And I stressed that i wanted a coffee bar set up.. she didn’t. By the time I realized it hadn’t been done it was too late to matter. Overall everything turned out great but they aren’t as organized as some established venues. That being said, you are getting a unique space that no one can say they have been to a wedding at.

My husband and I both worked in the building previously and we first met there, so I couldn't imagine a more perfect place to host our wedding. We were married at the Madison over Labor Day weekend, and everything was absolutely extraordinary from start to finish. Our coordinator, Dana, was exceptionally responsive and helpful and she and her assistant Lauren were both so kind and fun to work with. They both made planning our wedding a pleasure. The venue itself is second to none in Detroit: the views are incredible, the space is unique (so many great photo ops!), and it's right in the middle of everything downtown. Our guests had a blast and were wowed by the location, and even our vendors were impressed (our DJ said it was the best venue he's ever played!). It was everything we could have wished for and more. We'll remember our beautiful wedding night forever, and we couldn't have been happier for it to take place at the Madison.

We had many choices on where we could have had our wedding, and we don't regret for a single second choosing The Madison as the venue for both our ceremony and reception. Lyn was my direct contact through the entire planning process and she was quick to respond and provided all kinds of tools and great advice which helped us tremendously in our decision-making process. We also worked with a few other individuals with Bedrock who were just as helpful and enthusiastic about making sure our party was a hit. The bar staff was extremely efficient and very friendly. Our guests had the time of their lives and were very happy with the views, service, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere. To say the evening was magical would be seriously understating the energy on the rooftop on our special night. Bedrock was also very helpful in coordinating with and assisting the other vendors (florists, photobooth company, lighting company, etc) which made things run as smooth as could be! I am thankful to have worked with Bedrock and still beaming from how amazing our evening was. It was just awesome! I highly recommend The Madison for your special event. We were looking for an untraditional reception venue to celebrate my son and daughter-in-law's untraditional wedding and elopement to Costa Rica and boy did The Madison deliver! Our friends and family are still talking about this spectacular rooftop venue. The views of the Detroit skyline were amazing in all directions which added to the beautiful photos that captured this wonderful celebration. To top it off, the Tigers were playing that night at ComericaPark and provided our party with a fabulous complimentary fireworks display! It was the perfect end to a perfect evening. I have to say too that besides the venue being spectacular, Danielle Balmer was a gem to work with and made sure everything ran smoothly throughout the evening. She even went above and beyond to ease our stress that day by volunteering to put our decorations in place for us. I can't say enough about how pleased we were with our choice to have the reception there. I would not hesitate to recommend The Madison for your event. Being an architect and growing up in Detroit I knew that I wanted a stand-out wedding venue that would allow us and our guests to enjoy the beauty that is Detroit and that would allow us to have the unique wedding we were looking for. We are not traditional types and this is not your traditional wedding venue. The spaces are beautifully designed and there is nothing like being able to dance under the stars surrounded by great Detroit architecture. We ended up doing a strolling dinner with different food stations and no assigned seating since we wanted the wedding to be less formal and more fun. Our guests loved it and still to this day talk about how unique and fun the wedding was! You cannot beat the views and this venue if you are the type looking to do something different. The staff was fantastic to work with and we were able to plan and host the wedding of our dreams! There are a variety of different spaces to meet all kinds of needs but the rooftop gets my top vote. People don't realize places like this exist in Detroit and this has to be the best in the City BY FAR!!! We are so grateful to everyone that helped make our wedding so spectacular and we are so thankful to the Bedrock staff who allowed us to have our wedding at this magnificent venue! It is certainly a day we will never forget but thanks to this awesome venue and the great vendors we had it is also a night that our guests will never forget. I would highly recommend this location to anyone looking to do something outside of the box because lets face it, weddings get old after awhile and it's nice to do something different for a change. My husband and I love modern and unique things and this venue fit the bill. 5 Stars!!!

We had our wedding here and it turned out perfect. The venue was beautiful and was an impressive location for all of our out of town guests to enjoy with a great view of Comerica Park. During our wedding there was a Tigers game going on, which they won and fireworks were shot off over The Madison from Comerica because of the win. It made the night that much better. I cannot say enough great things about this venue. I highly recommend it!

I don't know if I can find the words to bring to life how much we LOVED our wedding at The Madison- but I will sure try! We had our ceremony on the 5th floor industrial space and it was so intimate and unique. The backdrop of floor to ceiling windows with The Fox Theater behind us... I mean come on! The space fit roughly 120 guests for our ceremony and everyone loved it. I'm bias, but our pictures turned out awesome!Having our reception on the rooftop was absolutely amazing! It helped that we had perfect weather, but honestly I don't know how we could have beat this environment. The space is made for a strolling dinner and moving around throughout the night. Anyone dreading a seating chart? No worries! The Madison allows you the flexibility of your guests deciding where to sit or stand for dinner. Having Comerica Park as a backdrop honestly is hard to put a price tag on. We were lucky enough to have our wedding on a night where the Tigers had fireworks after the game - We got some absolutely breathtaking photos on the roof during the fireworks. In terms of flowers and decorating, we chose to stay low key and use the city as our backdrop which was the right decision for a lot of reasons. Out guests LOVED taking pictures with the city behind them and no one missed having large table centerpieces. That said, the rooftop is a blank canvas that you can easily transform into anything your heart desires. Our wedding coordinator really appreciated the prep space and accessibility of the building and its amenities which really made her life easy before, during and after our wedding. Lastly, I will share that we received Thank You cards after our wedding!! Our guests were so impressed with how Detroit has transformed and thanked us for bringing them downtown. So many of our family and friends said \"This was the best and most unique wedding we've been to. It wont be beat!\" We are so incredibly thrilled with our decision to have our wedding at The Madison. I recommend it to any and everyone that I can.

They went above and beyond the call of duty. The view was spectacular from both inside as well as the rooftop.
