Mammoth Mountain is an incredible place to have your wedding. It is truly a unique venue/caterer for a wedding because they have so many options for the setting, size, food, drinks, etc. They have a wide range of venues based on the type of wedding you want, that accommodate any number of people ranging from an intimate wedding to a several-hundred-person wedding. The menu provided by their caterer is incredibly diverse, including different cuisines, but also different degrees of \"fanciness\" ranging from street food to plated fine dining. Mammoth staff is incredibly helpful, and they do the best job at reminding you of deadlines leading up to the big day, whether that be payment deadlines, or creative deadlines. They assign you a Wedding Coordinator who truly does a bulk of the work when it comes to planning and executing the wedding. Our Coordinator, Kristin, held our hand throughout the planning process, and made it incredibly easy to plan a wedding for the first time. On the day of, I did not have to worry about a thing; she coordinated everything with our vendors and kept us to our schedule all night. Had the most unique, meaningful, and unforgettable wedding in Mammoth this past April - and not just unforgettable for us, unforgettable for all our wedding guests. We had our wedding and reception at McCoy Station. The snow was still unmelted on the rooftop so we had our ceremony on the patio - it was gorgeous and maybe even better as the glass blocked the wind. It was an awesome experience for our guests, who got to take a gondola to the middle of the mountain and it was awesome for us, who had the most beautiful snowy (but cold) backdrop for our ceremony. It was perfect for us since we first started dating on the ski slopes.I'm crazy impressed by how the team was able to flip the McCoy cafeteria area to a wedding venue within a few hours. We did it when the ski season was still going. Everything looked gorgeous. The food was all right, but I didn't have too high expectations for food out of a ski lodge. Our cocktail hour was in Parallax, where our guests got to enjoy their new bar area and the sunset. From a cost perspective, it was honestly really fair. A wedding (venue + catering) would have cost way more in the bay area or Tahoe, which made up for having to accommodate our guest list knowing Mammoth is not easy to get to during the snow season (Yosemite is closed and most flights to Mammoth are done by mid-April).Can't thank the Mammoth team enough! Jann Runyon(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-10-2022 Mammoth and June have always held a special place in our hearts so for my now husband and I it was an easy decision on where we wanted to have our wedding. The entire planning process with MMSA was such a wonderful experience. We specifically worked with Amanda and Paige who were immensely helpful and supportive. They had such a quick response time to my questions and helped put me at ease when I was stressed about the weather or contacting other vendors. (Something to consider is “mountain time”. Vendors in this area may vary in their own response times, but rest assured they will get back to you. They’re giving couples the attention they also deserve.)We also hired outside coordination as well as vendors from out of town and MMSA’s communication and collaboration with the other members of our wedding team was beyond seamless. We had our ceremony at Forest Chapel and the reception at Camp High Sierra on a day in which the fall mountain weather could not decide what it wanted to do (sun, cloudy, drizzle/rain, windy!!). I’ll never forget the kindness of the Mammoth catering staff who gave us warm drinks and ushered us into the reception area during cocktail hour to thaw by the fireplace because we spent nearly thirty minutes in the cold taking our portraits!! While they do work with so many couples, they truly make you feel valued and take the time to get to know you and your significant other to figure out how to nail all the details. This venue is recently remodeled and has a wonderful rustic/urban feel right on the ski mountain. It needed little decor to feel warm and intimate, and this was made even better by the indoor and outdoor fireplaces. The vintage chair lifts made for fun photo ops for the wedding party and guests. The room opens to the mountain and provided an indoor/outdoor space that was enjoyed by all, especially the young children. Best of all was working with Amanda from Mammoth Mountain Resorts Catering who was always available for questions, provided great suggestions, and was present before and during the event. As most of our party was staying in the June Lake area, Amanda even made arrangements for a large bus to bring all the guests back and forth to the event. We chose the Italian buffet menu and loved the food. There was something for everyone. From start to finish, my contacts Natalie and Amanda were very responsive and always had the details I needed. We had our ceremony at Sierra Star and reception at McCoy station. Guests loved the scenic views from both and had fun riding the gondola up to McCoy station. The food was great and we had no problems with the bar or bartenders. Everything seems very flexible and relaxed up there so they're open to whatever you want to do to customize your wedding. The preferred vendors list was helpful, but because Mammoth is pretty remote, you only have a few options for each vendor which is something to take into account. In the two days leading up to our wedding, we had some unfortunate circumstances and my coordinator, Erica, was not only reassuring but was able to adjust everything at the drop of a dime! She walked our entire wedding party through our rehearsal, answered every question I could ever have imagined to ask, and she constantly checked to make sure there was absolutely nothing else we could have needed! mandie halstead(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-07-2018 Only one word can describe our wedding at June Mountain: perfect. Everything was wonderful from the views to the service staff. Planning everything for the day of was simple and we felt well taken care of through the whole process. All correspondences were quick and thorough. There were a couple questions I had that I felt should have been brought up by the planning staff but seriously only two (alternative plans for bad weather, and a city wide event being held on the same day as ours). Neither of these things were issues, but I was a little surprised they weren't brought up to me before I asked about them. My husband was also disappointed with a lack of assertiveness from our day of coordinator during the rehearsal because she was pretty laid back and basically followed our lead even though we didn't really know what we were doing. HOWEVER. These were the ONLY complaints we have and they seem pretty minor being that everything was perfect on the day of. We got countless compliments on how delicious the food was (we chose the ahi, spring rolls, and ceviche for appetizers, tri tip, chicken, red potatoes, and roasted veggies for entrees). Our guests loved taking the lift up and enjoying all the gorgeous views. We have heard so many times that this was the best venue and best wedding our guests have been to. What makes that even more exciting is how affordable the venue is. If I could do it all over again, I would choose June Mountain as our venue every time. Reviewed on 13-08-2018

Loree Peterson was our lead and she was PHENOMENAL. Leading up to the wedding, she was incredibly responsive with any questions we had. We don’t live in Mammoth so she bent over backwards to meet with us when we were in town to hash out any wedding details. On the day of, she was a rock star. She made sure everyone was taken care of, all the decorations were on point and the bridal party knew what to do and was in the right place. Mammoth was so easy to work with. Everyone is so understanding and laid back – and will do anything and everything to help make your day special. If you do get married in Mammoth, I highly suggest picking all local vendors. While it seemed a little hectic during the planning, in reality it was a very smooth process. Especially after we were set up with Stephanie Pollard as our wedding coordinator. She was very communicative and worked with us on every aspect of the planning process. AND she made sure the reception area was set up as I wanted it even though the yurt wasn't ready to be decorated as early as planned. Steph truly made sure our wedding went off without a hitch and was an advocate for us every step of the way. Our parents (both mine and my husband's) both commented on how much they liked working with her and how much they appreciated her attitude. In terms of the site, you really can't beat Forest Chapel. The yurt was also nice, though small - we only had 26 people and I would not recommend putting any more people in there (or at least not any more tables - we had some extra seats). It'd also be nice if the lights in the yurt had a dimmer switch. The outdoor area of the yurt is stunning, though. It makes for such a pleasant area to enjoy the night. And the staff working our wedding were excellent. Attentive and friendly. The bartender was excellent, too. We enjoyed every bit of our wedding and absolutely recommend Mammoth Mountain as a great place to have a wedding! And that's after paying the bill ;) Reviewed on 27-07-2017

Kelly Rohde(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-04-2017 We had our dream wedding at Mammoth Mountain at the beginning of April! Us and all of our guests stayed at Mammoth Mountain Inn. The hotel was amazing and so accommodating. The hotel is an older hotel and in need of renovations, but with that being said everything was clean and we loved our stay and the location was perfection! The staff at the front desk and the bell hops are some of the nicest people we've ever met!We had our ceremony on the rooftop of McCoy station and it was absolutely stunning. Cheyanne was our wedding coordinator and she did a wonderful job of making everything run smoothly and answering all our various questions throughout the process. We had our cocktail hour at the summit Eleven-53. Our guests loved riding the gondola and taking in the views, especially because many of them had never done anything like that. Our reception was at Parallax. The ceremony, reception, and cocktail hour were all set up so beautifully and exactly how I had envisioned. The food at cocktail hour was incredible: bacon-wrapped dates, shrimp, and a variety of soups in shot glasses- SO YUMMY! The reception food was just as yummy with a variety of food stations: coastal station, carving station, salads, and a mac-n-cheese madness station. We also had a churro bar for dessert, as well as a 10-inch round cake. Everything was delicious and presented so elegantly. We also had a hot-coco station set up at the bottom of the gondola for the guests and we had Woolly join our dance floor in a tux-- definitely glad we splurged for those two things! The guests are still talking about it!Throughout the whole planning process, they allowed us to uniquely craft our own special day and they tailored it to exactly fit us! As we searched for wedding venues we hated the idea of \"cookie cutter\" weddings that did the same exact wedding every weekend with different people. Mammoth is definitely not that place! They are so flexible and accommodating with different locations, food options, and styles that I think its difficult to see the same wedding there twice. We had our dream wedding at Mammoth Mountain and would recommend it to anyone searching! One recommendation if you do choose Mammoth, tell most of your guests to drive there! The small airport only has 2-3 flights come in a day and we found that many of those get delayed or canceled sometimes due to wind or weather; or sometimes a few weeks in advance due to not enough people booking. That caused a little stress, but it all worked out in the end!Happy Planning Brides and Grooms! Reviewed on 10-05-2017

Courtney Matchett(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 22-05-2016 My husband and I had the most magical day ever when we got married in Mammoth on May 22, 2016. From the initial contact with Amanda, the planning with Loree, and the day-of execution with the whole MMSA staff...every detail was handled beautifully! We initially planned for a ceremony at Forest Chapel. Unfortunately, mother nature blessed Mammoth with a load of snow ultimately leaving us to secure a second location only days before our Wedding! Luckily, with the care and concern of Loree Peterson, she ensured we found a location that was still outside and guess what?? It turned out EVEN BETTER than anything I could have imagined. I am so thankful for Loree's ingenuity and concern for our happiness, along with Tamarack Lodge to find us the perfect spot lakeside at Tamarack Lodge that accommodated our 60 guests perfectly. As for our reception, I cannot recommend The Mill enough! It was the perfect size for our intimate wedding of 60 and I especially loved the mountain lodge vibe. When I first scouted The Mill, I was unsure how it could ever be transformed into a reception space but boy was I blown away on the day. Loree, along with Chris and The Mill staff did an AMAZING job transforming the interior into my enchanted fairy- tale reception space. I was initially worried too because they were open to the public that day ad only had a couple hours to decorate and they did so with flying colors! Oh, and the food was incredible!! I had so many people compliment us on how great the food was. We opted for a meat-free menu and chose the salmon (SO GOOD) and the mushroom rissoto (also amazing!) I also have to mention how attentive and fun the wait staff and bartenders were. They were a special addition to the night and by the end they felt like family. Lastly, Chris, the manager of The Mill, who was so patient and calm with all our questions and who let us decorate the inside to our choosing- he was super! The best part of The Mill is how late you can go, as well as, no volume restrictions so you can dance the night away which is exactly what we did. I LOVE LOVE LOVE everything about out wedding day and I am forever grateful to the entire Mammoth Mountain Team and all they did to help us have the best day of our lives. W W(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-10-2015 We had our rehearsal dinner at Mammoth Mountain’s Yodler Restaurant. The venue was perfect for our “mountain wedding” theme - with sweeping views of the Mammoth from the deck and a quaint German vibe, it was a perfect way to kick off the weekend. The staff was very friendly and welcoming - the kitchen really knew what it was doing - and everyone had a fun time. It was a little confusing to book the venue - we ended up talking to three different people at Mammoth. Everyone was very pleasant and everything worked out well. Cheyanne was there to coordinate during our event and she did a fantastic job!\r\rHaving our wedding here in October was great: although they close down the gondola to the top of Mammoth Mountain in the fall, so we couldn’t take our guests to see the summit, we were able to rent out the entire restaurant because it is normally closed for the season- we had the place to ourselves. I was originally worried that our small, 50-person dinner would feel lost in such a large building, but we used the room right next to the bar on the first floor and it was the perfect size - the staff helped by rearranging the tables at our request to fill the space. \r\rAlthough we were first drawn to the Yolder for its authentic ambiance, we were very impressed with its array of other services/perks. We used the in-house sound system for speeches and background music - easy to use and functional. They also catered the event. Mammoth has a large menu that can be tailored to meet any palate, but we actually really liked the Yodler’s standard German fare. We asked to have the meal buffet-style to let our guests pick and choose what they ate, and it was lovely, organized, and delicious! Everyone was complimenting the food, and everyone went back for moreI also loved that they were able to get a fire going in their fire pit on the deck - complete with s’mores. My husband and I got married at Mammoth on 8/15/15 and it was fabulous! We had 172 guests, and had the ceremony at the summit near the Mammoth sign with the reception at McCoy Station. We were so impressed by all the Mammoth staff, especially Loree and Ananda, who helped make our day perfect. We were able to fit 60 chairs on the top, so the other guests stood in the back, which worked fine. We were blown away with how the Mammoth crew was able to transform McCoy with uplighting, the dance floor and decorations. For the reception, we had long tables that sat 16-18 people, so we did a family style meal which worked out great. The salmon and trip-tip were delicious! Unfortunately, just 4 days prior to the wedding day, I had a ski accident which landed me in the hospital with broken ribs and collapsed lung. It was only late evening the night before the wedding that we knew for sure I would be released from the hospital. Darla and Mammoth Mountain was incredibly flexible in changing the venue to a beautiful alternative location at Mammoth Mountain Inn on the deck with beautiful back drop of the mountain as my doctor would not allow me to go to the highest elevation with my lung. Darla, specifically, went above and beyond to save our special day and was incredibly kind to my friends and family. The reception location at Parallax (mid-mountain) was absolutely gorgeous! Brian Higginbotham(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 07-03-2015 My husband and I got married this past March at Mammoth, and had the most amazing experience. We wanted a ski wedding, where we could get married on the summit outside, then ski down with our friends, and then have a party afterwards. It worked PERFECTLY. The summit of Mammoth has a gondola to provide easy access for non-skiers/elderly, and there is an enclosed building at the top that can accommodate either a ceremony or a staging area. We had our guests (75) wait inside, and then come outside for the actual ceremony. Afterwards, we skied down, and then had a few hours to relax before bringing them back up to the halfway lodge for a reception at Parallax (the contemporary restaurant in McCoy station). The party was superb, and no decorations were needed because Parallax itself is already perfectly appointed.\r\rRe: the staff, I cannot say enough how helpful and responsive they were, from the minute we emailed to ask for quotes, up until days after the wedding itself. (Literally. Darla, the incredible wedding coordinator, was still working with us to get everything we sent there back home.) \r\rAltogether, I would have to say that this was the coolest, most fun wedding venue I'd ever seen, and if you're looking for something fun and adventurous, but still accessible to everyone, that you should really consider Mammoth! The staff were all so professional and worked so hard to make the day phenomenal. Darla Ross and Amanda Archuleta were my wedding coordinators - they both were dependable, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make my day exactly what I wanted. We experienced inclement weather so the mountain brought all of our guests up on a sno-cats! Unexpected but really delighted the guests and us. Things we added to our day - we added a candle package which looked beautiful in the room, we had shuttles which worked out great, we had an apple cider station pre-ceremony - yum, we had our cocktail hour in Parallax which was lovely and enjoyed by our guests. The food was good - better than I expected! Better than I have had at weddings at well known hotel chains. We had planned to do our ceremony outside but could not because of the weather, so we did it in the \"glass room\" and it worked well. The mountain worked hard to get the room set up for us, and the views out the window were lovely. It was pretty cold in there but our guests just stayed in their coats until cocktail hour. We also had our farewell brunch catered by the mountain catering crew - it was at Campo. The food was delicious and the venue was perfect. Our DJ was Spencer of /. Creative - he works regularly with the mountain and was fantastic. Our photographers were Cooke Fine Photography - highly recommend them as well. Diana and Michael were so professional, thoughtful, and truly cared about us and the work they were doing for us. And our guitarist, Jon Jacoby, and officiant, Stacey Powells, were also mountain recommendations who were talented and professional. We had guests stay at Mammoth Mountain Inn, Juniper Springs, the Village Lodge, and the Westin and were very pleased with the service at all three locations. My groom and I come up to Mammoth a lot but live in Santa Monica so we really relied on Darla, Amanda and crew to manage much of the details for us and we were so grateful for their help. Our guests all had a wonderful time, and so did we. Mammoth is perfect if you want a cozy mountain town feel with a professional crew in the background to make it all happen for you. And really the value was great - it wasn't bargain basement by any means, but compared to what we would get in Santa Monica for the amount of money we spent, it was definitely worth the trek! Autumn Siqueido(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 26-05-2012 There is a lot of year round locations to have your ceremony in Mammoth. Options for both indoor and outdoor, but you cannot beat the great outdoors! Our wedding was outside on top of the summit on May 26, 2012 in unexpected, but VERY welcome, snow showers! Lindsay Penney(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-07-2011 We had our wedding at the top of Mammmoth Mountain. It was absolutely gorgeous. We loved having the snow-topped mountains in the background. And the people in the catering office at the ski resort were so easy to work with. They made everything turn out fabulous! Amanda Williamson(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-01-2011 We had a rough run at planning our wedding with the Mammoth Mountain Weddings. We had a hard time communicating (didn't recieve emails/answers in a timely manner). Once we had a discussion about this, things got much better. I would typically grade this a little firmer but, the week and day of the wedding was amazing. We were welcomed with gift baskets and so well taken care of by the wedding staff. Anything we asked for, big or small was done with quickness and ease. The day of the wedding, we were checked on constantly to make sure we were comfortable and happy! The day of, there were a few hiccups but, were taken care of immediately.\rOur guests as well as myself and my husband were amazed and blown away with the wedding/reception itself. We had such a great time and could not have asked for a better day. The views were amazing and I cannot wait to see all of the pictures! Reviewed on 14-02-2011
Elizabeth Ciarrocca(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-04-2009 We got married at a ski resort! Guests took the gondola to mid mountain for the ceremony and reception and to the Top of the Sierra for cocktails. Would definately recommend to anyone wanting something a little off the beaten path. It was the most unique wedding!;It's definately interesting planning a wedding from afar (ours was a destination wedding). Casey at the Mammoth Mountain Ski Area was fabulous to work with!
