Located just outside of St. Paul, MN, lies wedding-and-event venue Bruentrup Heritage Farm. Versatile indoor and outdoor spaces set the scene for a range of celebrations. The farm is sprawled across more than two acres of scenic agricultural land. There is plenty of room for gatherings of all shapes and sizes.
Tracing back to the late 19th century, the venue gives off a rustic sense of the past. Once upon a time, it was a thriving dairy farm. Today, the property is home to the local historical society. They are a non-profit organization committed to protecting the area’s history and culture. Bruentrup Heritage Farm has been the site of many get-togethers and displays. It plays an important role in preserving the past. The venue is now available for private events such as weddings. This allows locals to enjoy the idyllic farm as they celebrate milestones.
Bruentrup Heritage Farm can set the scene for both traditional and modern celebrations. The venue can be decorated to reflect your personality and vision. Ceremonies are held inside the barn or outdoors surrounded by nature. It is up to you just how much you want to decorate the farm’s simple design. You and your partner can tie the knot in the scenic Minnesota countryside. A romantic white gazebo offers an intimate setting to exchange vows. You and your partner can also arrange a meaningful service inside the barn. Set your celebrations against the backdrop of the traditional wooden paneling. Simple, natural decor adds a splash of elegance to the occasion. For the main event, celebrate with a banquet in the classic red barn. Custom decorations and string lighting add a cozy personal touch.
This spacious venue can accommodate celebrations of up to 150 guests. The events team will help couples set up their personalized farm festivities. These professional planners aim to ensure that every little detail falls into place. On the day, the wedding party can get ready in the farmhouse. While they wait for the event to kick off, guests are welcome to explore the grounds. The event staff can supply rental furniture and tents. This makes planning and setup easier for the happy couple. To help ensure each special event is one to remember, the venue staff can also organize hayrides. This adventurous activity lets couples and their loved ones experience the farm in a whole new way.

Do not book your wedding here! We initially booked the venue through Tricia, a third party vendor, and she took our deposit and monthly payments. We payed over 3000 and those payments were never given to the venue . The venue never got our contract and our day was not reserved. We still decided to book the venue for our wedding. The wedding just passed last week and we are still waiting to get our money back to repay the venue. We were also not happy with Amy, the new event planner/ day of coordinator. She was supposed to be there to pick up trash, put out snacks and make sure that everything goes to schedule. Halfway through the party she disappeared and she showed up at the very end. She was supposed to gather all the decor and things so we can leave with the guests but that was not the case. We were getting rushed and kicked out so even our guests had to help us clean up. Save yourself the hassle and book your wedding somewhere else. Reviewed on 02-08-2023
Grace James(bride)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-06-2023 DO NOT BOOK THROUGH TRICIA DUFFNEY / “LITTLE FARM GIRL LLC” she created this page as a 3rd party contractor and took $2,000 in deposits from us, and did not tell us when her ability to contract with Bruentrup fell threw MONTHS ago. So now we are out a venue and $2k. She has not been honest about where the money is and if we’ll ever see it back. Reviewed on 06-02-2023
Alysa Delgado(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 02-10-2021 I can't begin to tell you how many complements we got on this venue! Our wedding was cozy, intimate, and a whole lot of fun. The farm & farmhouse was breathtaking for getting ready and bridal photos. Tricia, the coordinator, is truly a wizard when it comes to running the show. I was able to drop off the decorations that I had the day before, and she worked her magic and put them together in the most beautiful way. She was so attentive, made sure that we and the bridal party and family were all taken care of, and seemingly was everywhere at once. I would book this venue for Tricia alone! But, the beautiful views and great venue for a value are perks as well! Plus, you can pick your own vendors ,which is the added cherry on top! Thanks so much! Reviewed on 22-10-2021
Emily Thalhuber(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 18-09-2021 The venue was exactly what we were looking for. The price is reasonable & you get access to the venue for the entire weekend - setup/rehearsal Friday, all day Saturday for wedding, and pick up last minute stuff Sunday! The day of coordinator, Tricia, is phenomenal- she makes sure every detail of the day runs smoothly! She was a perfect part of making our day so perfect! The barn is gorgeous and there are tons of areas to take different types of pictures - prairie/nature shots, red/rustic barn shots, gazebo, etc. The house was perfect for getting ready for the girls and the basement of the barn was a perfect place for the guys to get ready and the entire bridal party to hang out! Highly recommend this venue to those looking for a barn style venue with flexibility to do what you want! (: Reviewed on 23-09-2021
L. OH(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-08-2021 As many of the reviews have shared, Bruentrup is a an actual *dream* venue. As a former event planner (with very high expectations!), I can't say enough good things, ESPECIALLY about Tricia, the event coordinator who comes with the venue. Bruentrup is just 15 minutes north of downtown St. Paul, and 20-25 minutes from downtown Minneapolis, so it was easy for both locals and our many out of town guests. While it's close to the cities, it feels like an escape to the country. I loved the flexibility of the space - we moved seamlessly from the meadow for our ceremony, to the yard/barn for cocktail hour & yard games, to a tent for dinner, and back to the barn for live band and dancing. You could have worked those spaces 10 different ways based on your preference, though! I also loved the vendor flexibility - I wanted to choose all of our own vendors and bring our own alcohol, which we were able to do. It makes it feel so much more personal, and helps limit costs. A fun “extra” that we added was the hayride. Just do it! It was an absolute blast. And finally, the event coordinator Tricia is an actual genius - she was so helpful from the planning phase all the way through the wedding, truly going above and beyond to make sure that everything looked beautiful and flowed seamlessly. We shared our planning doc, dropped off our decor, and she took it from there. The guys ran out of drinks - she found drinks. The caterer ran out of chips - she found chips. SO many guests walked up to me and said “your venue and coordinator are amazing ... I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this place!”. As a local heritage site, Bruentrup is not profit-driven, so is off the beaten track of Twin Cities venues. You will have a truly unique experience. As I said - hidden GEM, and the best decision you will make! Reviewed on 11-09-2021

As we live out of state and rushed to pull things together at the last minute, Tricia helped turn our vision into something beautiful.Tricia executed a stunning display, handled the vendors and family, and took amazing care of us. I could not be more grateful to her.Bruentrup Heritage Farm is a truly incredible location, with naturally gorgeous buildings, flowers, and prairie, a convenient location, and a fraction of the cost of other barn venues.
