Maplewood Country Club is an elegant wedding venue located in Maplewood, NJ. The venue’s professional staff devote themselves to helping couples celebrate in a way personalized to their tastes and preferences. With their knack for the details, the team thoughtfully curates a wedding experience to be remembered. A family-friendly locale, Maplewood Country Club offers a warm yet sophisticated ambience. It is conveniently located in the city of Maplewood, with nearby hotels and attractions including the Turtle Back Zoo. It was initially formed in 1903 before being incorporated in 1911. Besides the manicured golf course, the club provides facilities for tennis, swimming, and dining. With its understated color palette throughout the interiors, lofty ceilings, and classic style, the clubhouse and the surrounding property provide a romantic setting for “I dos”. Maplewood Country Club’s staff assist throughout the planning process and they delight in helping the couple's dream wedding become a reality. I wish I could give this venue 1000 stars. Truly an amazing and beautiful place to get married. From the day we first went to tour the venue until the day of the wedding, Edison was there to assist in any way we needed and to answer any and all questions. He genuinely cared about making our day the best it could be. On the day of the wedding, I did not have to think about anything other than having fun, as each and every detail of the day was handled professionally and efficiently by Edison and the staff. Additionally, the food at the country club is out of this world, and I have been receiving compliments about the phenomenal cocktail hour from every single guest. I cannot recommend this venue enough!

1000/10 - Would recommend Maplewood Country Club to ANYONE hosting an upcoming event, especially a wedding! Working with Edison was truly a pleasure. He was, and still is, super responsive, helpful, and genuinely caring. From the moment we met, Edison showed my family and I how invested he is from start to finish of the wedding process, and even after the event has occurred, he still checks in to see how things are going. Edison helped my husband and I every step of the way and always kept on top with what needed to be done next. He gave us advice and suggestions that made our special day truly something magical. On the day of our wedding, April16, 2023, Edison and his team made sure every detail was EXACTLY as we had imagined it. The day flowed so smoothly, and he was such an essential part of that. Edison made sure we were all properly hydrated and fed, he ensured everything was how my husband and I wanted and truly did not disappoint! If I could suggest anything to future brides out there, this would be my first suggestion - hold your wedding at the Maplewood Country Club and you WILL NOT regret it!

Our dream wedding came true at the Maplewood Country ClubAs soon as we met the Banquet Manager, Edison, and heard what the MCC had to offer and saw the newly renovated ballroom and all for an unbelievable price, we knew we found the right venue for our special day. Edison was “the best” from day one, he even came on his day off on Super Bowl Sunday to show us the venue since we were pressed for time to book a venue 6 months out. We read the reviews and it sounded too good to be true but let me assure you that it is all true. Edison and everyone that works at MCC is wonderful and friendly and helpful. Oh, and the FOOD was out of this world, as the bride I only wish I had found time to eat more during the cocktail hour. Our guests were amazed and overwhelmed over the amount of food and couldn’t believe there was still a dinner to come then desserts and white castles and hot dogs as they left. The staff was on top of everything and even had some fun with our guests, which the guests loved. They were very professional with pleasant personalities that attended to our guests’ dietary needs. There didn’t seem to be anything they couldn’t do to make us and our guests happy. Ours was a second wedding for both of us with about 80 guests including my young grandchildren. Edison made this bride very relaxed; he did not allow me to stress about anything and was so good moving things along without pressure. We could have not picked a better place to have our wedding. Our guests are still commenting on what a wonderful wedding and how outrageously good and plentiful the food was. Guests even noticed how well Edison was on top of everything. Not one complaint and only tons of great things were said about our wedding and MCC. Many guests said it was the best wedding they ever attended. Thank you, Edison, your staff, and MCC. You truly were a very big part of making our wedding day the best day ever for both of us. I still say I want to have a wedding all over again because it was that great at MCC.

Louie and I had a small wedding in November of 2021, but wanted to celebrate with friends and family. To be honest I didn't think we would have our celebration at a country club, but the team at Maplewood is outstanding and the food is amazing. The newly renovated ballroom is gorgeous and fits any décor you want to have. We worked with Edison, the Director of Catering who is amazing to work with. He and his team were so attentive and made sure everyone was happy. The food was not your typical banquet food, it was high end quality and people were enjoying all night. We were getting calls and text from family and friends for weeks after the party saying how it was the best time and best food they have had in a long time.We thank the team from Maplewood for making our dream wedding celebration come true!

If you are deciding whether to have your wedding at MCC, look no further! The staff at the club is unbelievable and Edison is the most magical human on this planet!! He is the calming source every bride needs during the planning process and on the wedding day!From our first meeting with Edison, he immediately made us feel at ease. No task was too small and no ask was too big. It truly makes a tremendous difference to be able to work with people you trust. Everything on our wedding day surpassed our expectations. There aren't enough 'thank you's' in the world to demonstrate our gratitude and appreciation for all of MCC's & Edison's contributions. Our guests are still talking about the food and venue and what a memorable event it was!!Edison ALWAYS looks out for the bride!! It really made me feel special and important (and full!). He is extremely professional, poised and gracious at all times. I appreciate him putting up with / being there for my mom and I from start to finish, being so patient with us, and putting up with our worried emails/texts, questions, indecisiveness and last-minute changes. The day was beautiful and glamorous and everything I had always dreamed of. Thank you Edison & the MCC team!!

My daughter just got married this past weekend and the entire club could not have been more helpful. Edison is simply the best and does everything he possibly can to make the event exactly as you picture. Honestly, the only thing he couldn't accomplish for us is to stop hurricane IAN. He surpasses every expectation, works incredibly hard and due to his nature, everyone on his staff is just awesome. The food and decor are not to be surpassed anywhere else.

We got married in July and everyone who we've spoken to since has gone on and on about how amazing the Maplewood Country Club is! first off, the food... there is sooooooo much food and amazing quality! I come from a big italian family so a big priority for us was food and Maplewood came out on top! It was amazing. Not to mention the whole ballroom was just completely redone and was absolutely beautiful. Also, Edison who runs it is the absolute best. He was there every step of the day and made my husband, my family and friends all feel welcome and at home the whole entire time. It felt like he was a friend we've had forever. I can't say enough good things about it, I would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Edison was amazing to work with - he was efficient, attentive, and fun! He took care of every detail and made sure we had a great time at our wedding.2. The food!! Our guests are still raving about the food! Everything we had was absolutely delicious and plentiful! They have every appetizer you can imagine!3. The drinks! Edison helped us come up with a signature cocktail which was a hit. MCC also had every type of wine, beer, liquor, etc. 4. The service! I arrived very early in the morning to get ready in the bridal suite and beginning at dawn the service was impeccable. They anticipated every need and request.5. The ambiance! MCC encourages you to bring in your own photos and decorations (in additional to beautiful flowers) and it really made the ambiance unique, special, and gorgeous.MCC is an amazing place to have your wedding. I highly recommend!

Getting married is no easy task by any means. We searched and searched for the perfect place to have our reception that would be able to offer everything we wanted for our day. Maplewood was everything we were looking for and then some! During the pandemic we had to make the unfortunate decision of delaying our wedding. Hearing nightmare stories in the news from couples facing similar fate had us all too worried. Eddie (Edison) not only helped us reserve a new date, he compassionately put our minds at ease every step of the way. Knowing that we would be able to have the wedding we always dreamed about had us beyond excited. When our date was approaching Eddie was beyond responsive to every single inquiry and request we threw at him. He was very detailed oriented and made himself available even in off hours and days off to make sure our day went perfectly. We’re still getting compliments and calls about the day! The cocktail hour was second to none, we had so many options and Eddie was even able to incorporate our family’s traditional cuisine into the offerings. The bar staff was quick and professional in serving 150+ guests. Dinner was a very balanced and impressive menu that was enjoyed across the board by all of our guests. To help close the night we had some fun stations on the way out for some late night food and desserts that were perfect after our party! We can’t thank Eddie and the rest of the staff at Maplewood for helping us weather the COVID storm and host a wedding that was better than we could even imagine. A hidden gem amongst a plethora of venues options in the northern New Jersey area that was simply 5 stars across the board!

It's been three weeks since our wedding and we are still receiving calls from our guest raving about the great time they had at the wedding and it was the best wedding they ever attended. It was said there was an abundance/variety of dishes during the cocktail hour, was surprised there was more to come for dinner and after the wedding. Not just an overwhelming about of dishes but very, very tasty! My husband and I attended a wedding at the Maplewood CC in 2017. We were dating at the time but I knew if were to marry, it would be here. We had a great time at that wedding. Fast forward, we got in engaged in 2019 and I immediately contacted Edison. He was so accommodating and easy to work with. We selected a wedding date for March 2020. However, COVID-19 pandemic hit and we had to postpone the wedding. Edison was so patient with me as I was freaking out and postponed the date three times. Finally had our wedding on March 24, 2021. Edison held my hand throughout the pandemic, took all my phone calls and put me at easy. On the wedding day, he caterered to me from the beginning of our long day to the very end and beyond. Edison was very accommodating to all my guest and made sure eveyone was well taken care of. We had an awesome, amazing and unforgettable wedding! Thank you Maplewood CC and Edison, you are the best!

After attending a wedding at Maplewood Country, my now husband and I knew this was where we wanted to get married when the time came. Edison is an absolute gem, so attentive and always willing to go the extra mile to help bring your wedding vision to life. His confident, relaxed energy definitely eased any wedding nerves we had. We got married two months ago and our family and friends are still gushing about “the best party” ever. He was absolutely amazing - there at all hours of the day and night to answer questions and put our minds at ease. He did anything and everything to make us happy - and our day could not have been any better. He is a real class act. The food, venue, and grounds were amazing. Edison was a dream to work with - and guests could not stop talking about the huge selection of food at the cocktail hour - in addition to the delicious dinner, desserts, and food-to-go. If you want to have a worry-free wedding at a beautiful venue - book here - you will not regret it.

“MMMM” = Magnificent, Marvelous, Miraculous Maplewood If you’re reading this review and trying to decide between Maplewood and another venue for your wedding or the wedding of a loved one, your decision should be easy: MMMM = Magnificent, Marvelous, Miraculous Maplewood.My older daughter got married there a few years ago and guests just couldn’t stop talking about the beauty of the venue, the quality and quantity of the food, and the amazing service.We knew we had found a gem. But my younger daughter’s wedding was a bit challenging. It was initially scheduled for May 2020 and then delayed until November 2020. You may be familiar with something called COVID and all the restrictions, cautions, and fear that was prevalent. We were very cognizant of the virus and while we decided not to delay the wedding indefinitely, we really wanted to keep our small group safe and comfortable (both physically and emotionally) while giving my daughter and her husband a special night to remember.That’s the miraculous part of Maplewood, Michael, and Edison. They helped us throw an 18-person wedding that was incredible. Despite the difficulties that COVID presented us with, we had a blast. Edison is nothing short of phenomenal. He is calm, funny, and truly wants to make the bride and groom happy. Nothing is impossible, and he will customize, change, or add in just about anything you can think of at a very reasonable price.That’s the magnificent and marvelous part. We had the most wonderful time, and while I hope none of you have to throw a wedding in challenging times, there’s something to be said for the small wedding with a core group. Regardless of the size, be it 10 or 200 people, Maplewood rocks. Thank you, Michael and Edison and the entire Maplewood staff.

From the get-go MCC made us feel special and listened to our wants and desires rather than tell us \"how things are done.\" The entire venue bent over backwards to make every little detail happen as we had hoped. When planning a wedding there is a bit of hope that everything works out the way you planned and due to Edison and MCC, everything blew our expectations out of the water. The night ran smoothly and all guests were taken care of. More than two months later our guests are still talking about the venue and the food. If you want value for your dollar and to make sure all your guests leave satisfied, go with MCC. It is a gorgeous venue with a built in staff that acts just like a wedding planner.

Great venue, service & food steps away from NYCAs residents of South Orange, we selected Maplewood Country Club so family and friends near and far could see where we get to call home. An easy train ride from NYC, guests were able to make a full weekend out of our big day. We worked closely with Edison, his team and our vendors to bring our vision to life. Our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception were all held throughout the venue and all were executed flawlessly for 220 guests.The partnerships they have with local vendors, including our day-of planner, florist, band, hotel and transportation were incredibly valuable. Edison and our planner were able to closely collaborate to keep all parties in-sync without skipping a beat throughout the night. The club ensured all of our \"must-haves\" would be accommodated; from the over abundance of food, to the golf cart for photos outside on the course, to allowing one incredibly excited boxer dog inside for just the ceremony, we could not have been more pleased with the outcome.We cannot thank the club enough for welcoming us in and pulling out all the stops to make our night so special. We are lucky to call the club our neighbor.

We cannot say enough great things about Maplewood Country Club (MCC). In fact, I don’t have any complaints! Not one! I had attended events at MCC in the past and for a long time, it was number one on my list for wedding venues. So about a week after becoming engaged, we went to visit MCC. This is when we met Edison who has become one of my favorite people! Edison is a super hero! He made the entire planning process seamless! He had an answer for every single question and almost never said “no” to my many requests. Here are some other things we loved about MCC besides Edison. The food is amazing. All of our guests told us it was the best wedding food they ever had. Next, it was beautiful and home-y at the same time. I loved the feeling of being in an elegant living room for the cocktail hour. The reception room was perfect. I used vendors familiar with the venue and everyone was able to coordinate so well. There was nothing for me to worry about. I got ready in the bridal suite with my large bridal party and Edison made sure we were fed all day. Mimosas too! We were able to arrive at the venue as early as we wanted. Edison also made sure we ate plenty of cocktail hour food which he brought up to the bridal suite at the beginning of the cocktail hour. We also were able to eat during the reception. Edison’s suggestion that we have our own sweetheart table definitely made it easier to eat. Of course, we could have had the tables however we wanted as MCC is so accommodating. One thing I was most excited for was the ice cream freezer during dessert. Of course, there was formal dessert, wedding cake, pastries, etc. but we also had an ice cream freezer with haagen daz cups, choco tacos, etc. As if that wasn’t enough, they also gave out white castle burgers, fries, onion rings and hot dogs on everyone’s way out. I am not exaggerating about everyone’s reaction to the food… everyone thought it was the absolute best! The price was also a lot more reasonable than other venues. All in, I would rate MCC and Edison a perfect 10!

This was the last venue we visited on our tour and was head-and-shoulders above all others we saw. Nothing compared and when the date we wanted was available, we jumped and signed up to have MCC host our wedding. The banquet manager, Edison, has worked at Maplewood for over a decade and has this “wedding thing” down to a perfect science. He was extremely accommodating and very responsive via text message—he quickly answered any questions we had throughout the planning process. He helped alleviate any concerns we might have had leading up to our big day and he made us feel very welcome and like family—we were in great hands.Edison and his team are simply superb—second to none. We cannot say enough good things about them. The wait staff and bartenders were attentive but not overbearing—they took great care of our and our guests’ every need. Words cannot express our gratitude to Edison, his team, and everyone at Maplewood Country Club. They were all also very accommodating—the club even let us practice our first dance on the dance floor a couple weeks prior to our wedding so we could get a feel for space.THE FOOD was one of the major highlights of the wedding. Our guests could not believe the amount of food at the cocktail hour—rave reviews from everyone as they tried to try a little bit of everything. The big hits were the sushi bar, caviar station/vodka ice luge (yes, you read that correctly), rack of lamb, and bar pizza. Dinner and dessert were also amazing—the cake from Swiss Pastry Shoppe in Scotch Plains was very tasty and they were able to bake the exact sponge/filling combo we desired. As if that wasn’t enough, Edison also catered the after-party with everyone’s late-night favorites (sliders, hot dogs, ice cream, etc.). Our guests could not believe they were so well fed and watered—everyone was thanking my wife and I for hosting an amazing wedding and it is not an overstatement when I say that all of the amazingness was because of Edison and his team at Maplewood.We HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND Maplewood Country Club for your wedding venue. You should contact Edison as soon as possible to book your wedding at Maplewood—you will be very glad you did (your guests will be happy too)!

From start to finish, our wedding at the Maplewood Country Club was perfect, and it is all thanks to the amazing people who work there – especially Edison. Edison was always responsive, helpful, & full of ideas and wisdom. The space is lovely, and was able to comfortably hold our 200+ person wedding, and the seating area outside was especially perfect— our guests loved it. The food was incredible too. There was just so much of it. We’d recommend the MCC to anyone looking for a lovely, full service wedding venue in the NYC/NJ area.

From the warm welcome to Maplewood Country Club 6 months before our wedding date, to inviting us in to try the appetizers and dinner, to being so accommodating so that we can truly have the wedding of our dreams, we were very grateful we secured Maplewood Country Club and were able to work with Edison! It was a blessing in disguise that we lost our initial wedding venue and ended up at Maplewood Country Club! Everything on our best day ever was so perfect! The food and the service was the absolute best and all of our guests continue to attest to how amazing the cocktail hour was and how delicious all of the food the whole night was! The venue is beautiful and the dance floor in the ballroom was perfect for dancing the night away with our guests to the fun music of our band. We got married at the beautiful Maplewood Club in November of 2019. My husband and I loved every second of our amazing wedding that was organized and managed by Edison. Our guests continue to shower us with compliments about the cocktail hour and how comfortable they felt in the beautiful place as the venue has many lounge areas, an outside sitting area, beautiful bars, and so much more. Our pictures came out so beautiful despite it being a cold November day due to the perfectly maintained grounds - I just can’t express how happy we are to have said YES to the MCC. About Edison/ the “YES MAN” - I will always be extremely grateful to wonderful Edison! He and his staff put my mind to ease every second of the way during this very high stress time. He offered solutions and all the accommodations we needed for our tables and provided all the necessary food options I was looking for. The ballroom was straight from my dreams and everything I could have ever wanted. The food was superb and there was so much of it! In addition, the bridal suite had everything my makeup and hair team needed. Everyone was at ease and felt amazing the entire day. I can’t wait to attend or plan another event at MCC. Thank you Edison and all the lovely people at the Maplewood Country Club, you truly made us feel like royalty!

Attention all brides and grooms to be, look no further, Maplewood Country Club is the perfect place to have your wedding! So perfect, my parents hosted not one, not two but all THREE of their daughters weddings. My sisters’ wedding were in summer 2010 and summer 2016 and mine recently in October 2018. Michael and Edison were so accommodating and understanding! They are the real deal! They did anything and everything we needed! And on the day of our wedding they were always magically there when we needed them! Our guests from all three weddings to this day still talk about it! And the food!!!! Don’t get me started on that cocktail hour! So much delicious food, something for everyone! And just when you think there isn’t any room left in your stomach on the way out to the door at the end of the night they serve you more food!!! I have never been to a wedding that provided this much and presented everything so well!! So in all seriousness I would recommended this venue to anyone! Our guests cannot stop raving about our food and our venue. MCC is not like any other venues in that you do not have to make any choices about food and you do not have to pay more for the good stuff. When we went to our \"tasting\" we went through the menu and were told we were getting it all unless there was anything we didn't like or that we were allergic to. We couldn't believe it. Besides the food (which did I say was amazing?), the venue is also stunning. We took beautiful photos out on the golf course and at the venue. The ballroom had a huge dance floor, a stunning antique chandelier, and beautiful classic architecture. The service was top notch. Our guests commented on how their drinks were never empty. As a result, there was never over crowding at the bars. MCC thinks of everything and the night ran so smoothly. Our guests cannot stop raving about our food and our venue. MCC is not like any other venues in that you do not have to make any choices about food and you do not have to pay more for the good stuff. When we went to our \"tasting\" we went through the menu and were told we were getting it all unless there was anything we didn't like or that we were allergic to. We couldn't believe it. Besides the food (which did I say was amazing?), the venue is also stunning. We took beautiful photos out on the golf course and at the venue. The ballroom had a huge dance floor, a stunning antique chandelier, and beautiful classic architecture. The service was top notch. Our guests commented on how their drinks were never empty. As a result, there was never over crowding at the bars. MCC thinks of everything and the night ran so smoothly. Edison and his team were fantastic to work with - they were so accommodating and MCC really went above and beyond our expectations to make our night truly perfect.

I could not have picked a more perfect venue. Edison and the entire staff at MCC were so attentive and helpful from the time I went for a tour to two years later when I finally had my wedding. Every question or concern I had, Edison handled immediately. He was the most calming presence during the stresses of wedding planning. And that was just leading up to the big day. On the day of my wedding, Edison assured that the day ran smoothly and that I was well taken care of. People who attended my wedding are still calling to tell me how amazing it was. My guests raved about the food and the incredible service. The venue is beautiful but the highlight of the night was definitely the fun and delicious food. I can’t recommend Maplewood Country Club enough. I’m actively trying to convince my brother in law to get married there so I can go back to MCC and experience it as a guest. Thank you Edison and MCC for everything!

While this review will, of course, focus on Maplewood Country Club, I first must tell you a little bit about myself. I’m as Type A as they come, I work in public relations so my days are spent focused on the logistics and minutia of planning and executing all kinds of programs, events and campaigns, and I run a part-time editing consulting business so I understand the merit of a review and do not leave or take them lightly. I am also rarely at a loss for words (can you tell?) but, that said, my wedding day – due in large part to Edison, the MCC staff and the venue itself – has really left me speechless. But that’s not helpful for anyone, is it? So, let me tell you this:Edison: He is the epitome of a master banquet manager, but so much more than that, too. He made us feel welcome from the very first visit and was so easy to work with – making me feel like anything I needed or wanted would be handled, rest assured. Any time (and there were plenty of them, trust me) that I reached out with a question in the year and a half between when I booked the venue and had my wedding, he responded with exactly what I needed to know – however big or small. He also recognized my personality and my need to feel in control, and instead of trying to take the reins he worked with me to ensure I was comfortable and felt heard. The day of the wedding was nothing short of magical, and while I still found it in myself to attempt to micromanage some details, there was truly no need. It was handled. Every single time. It still blows my mind that Edison threw a bat mitzvah right before my event (and that it was as if it never happened by the time my first guests arrived) and still gave me his full energy and attention, as if this was just the beginning of his workday. A true professional and just a really great guy, too – which makes it that much better. The MCC Staff: From the waiters to bartenders and everyone in between, the entire staff practices utmost professionalism and kindness. I was so sad to leave at the end of the night that I found each one of them and made them give me a hug and a kiss. They ensured everything went off without a hitch.Maplewood Country Club: Given I’m not one to waste any time, I had tours booked at almost 10 venues within a week following my engagement. I really didn’t have a vision (I’m not one of those people who dreamed of her wedding day since she was a little girl, although I wish I had been because that would have made the whole process a lot easier), so I saw a variety of venue types – grand ballrooms, country clubs, hotels, inns, and walked out of all of them feeling the same way I felt walking in: wanting that feeling of “this is the one” but not feeling it. Until MCC. Elegant and grand, yet intimate and quaint all at the same time. It was everything I could’ve dreamed of. Although I grew up in the area, I had never heard of MCC so was so taken back and pleasantly surprised by all it had to offer. The venue presents a flawless ceremony and reception (and I swear, despite my doubts, the staff can flip a room with perfection during cocktail hour). The setting is picturesque, the food is incredible, and the décor is chic yet charming. Maplewood Country Club was the best decision we made for our wedding. It was the first place my now husband and I looked at when searching for venues and we walked out of there with a signed contract. No need to look anywhere else. Edison is amazing and has event planning down to a science. The country club is warm and has so much character. The ballroom is beautiful with two beautiful chandeliers. We had our ceremony there as well and they used the ballroom and then flipped it during cocktail hour for our reception. You wouldn’t even know it was the same room. There was SO MUCH FOOD. And it was delicious. Every guest (and vendor) said it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. From the cocktail hour to dinner, dessert and hot dog stand/White Castle at the end of the party, none of your guests will go home hungry. The staff were attentive, helpful and beyond polite. My bridal party got ready in the suite and they provided breakfast and lunch for us as well as champagne. When my flowers did not show up on time, Edison was the one calling the vendor to see where they were. Everything ran smoothly and Edison was there making sure it stayed that way. I was a stress-free bride at Maplewood Country Club and would recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

If I can give you one piece of advice for your wedding it is to get married at Maplewood Country Club. The grounds are beautiful for pictures and the actual venue itself is gorgeous. The food is AMAZING and there is a ton of it. In addition to the venue and the food being perfect, the manager, Edison, is beyond helpful. He is so responsive with any questions or anything you need and he makes sure you are taken care of every step of the way. I can't say enough good things about this place. This review is long overdue! My husband and I got married at the Maplewood Country Club in August 2016. When I walked into the reception room, my eyes were drawn to the stunning high ceilings and large chandelier. It is such an elegant and classy room. I loved that MCC had an outdoor deck that guests could enjoy, especially during the cocktail hour. From the deck, guests could look out onto the beautiful golf course. Even though it rained earlier in the day, we were able to take pictures out on the golf course. They are absolutely beautiful!Family and friends are still talking about the delicious and plentiful food. Many people have told us that our wedding was the best they have been to, often mentioning the food. Everything was amazing!Both Michael and Edison were great! They listened to our requests and made sure our wedding was perfect! It was the wedding of our dreams.

Me and my wife had our wedding here on September 3rd, and thanks to Michael and Edison, it was a day we will never forget. From the food to the service, everything was impeccable. The food here is definitely several notches above what other weddings serve (bland frozen/fried food etc), and fit for a high end restaurant. People were blown away by the cocktail hour, the rack of lamb was especially impressive as I recall. We also had the vodka luge/sushi bar which were huge hits with our guests. Our guests are still raving about the food and what an awesome time it was. Dance floor is really spacious and the main ballroom looks gorgeous when lit up. The white castles/hot dogs at the end especially impressed people, and was a unique touch -- most places will not go to such ends to take care of your guests. Edison put us at ease during the whole process, and was a huge help in coordinating on the actual day. We can't say enough great things about Maplewood, you will definitely have an amazing wedding that people will talk about for many years to come!

Maplewood Country Club, Michael and Edison and staff went above and beyond to make our wedding day absolutely perfect. The ballroom was absolutely stunning and everyone loved that they could take advantage of the outdoor terrace. We had both our ceremony and reception at Maplewood, and it is one of the best choices my husband and I made to have the most beautiful, fun filled and seamlessly run wedding day imaginable. The behind the scenes and the show was run by Edison and he truly surpassed every expectation and every wish we had. He helped us take care of even the little details we were uncertain about - the uplighting, the house microphone, the cake, little details for the ceremony. There was not one thing that he didn't help make easy and smooth for us. I cannot recommend MCC enough. If you want an elegant and beautiful venue that has the best service and best food, then visit MCC. I truly feel this venue is the best value for the quality of food, service, and space that you can find in northern NJ. MCC knows how to throw one hell of a party! And one my husband, family and friends and I will never forget!

My husband and I checked out MCC after visiting a few other venues, and knew we needed to look no further. Luckily we were able to host our wedding within a year of our engagement, and I am so grateful to have had the help of Michael and Edison throughout the process. Every aspect of the night was accounted for. Edison worked with me to make the event special for us and was open to anything and everything I brought to the table. I felt comfortable working with both Michael and Edison. They are complete professionals in this field and knew how to make the event perfect but still unique to us. Our family and friends are still talking about how incredible everything was at the wedding, especially the food! Now that we have received our wedding video, I was able to take in all of the details of the room and the care that was put in. Everyone working at MCC helped to provide an incredible night, from the valets to waitstaff. We feel so lucky to have had our event at MCC and know we will remember the night forever.

The Maplewood Country Club did an outstanding job with our June wedding. Every detail was perfect. Edison, the banquet manager, and Michael were very responsive to our requests about special table set up, food and floral arrangements. They also provided valuable advice and guided us every step of the way when we needed it. All of our guests raved about the incredible gourmet dinner and extensive selection of hors d'oeuvres. They also offered to create whatever wedding cake we wanted- we just sent in a photo and it was top bakery quality when we saw it the day of our wedding. Edison was exactly the calming temperament we needed the day of our wedding and he and the incredible staff treated everyone like VIPs. They put together a beautiful spread of food samplings in our wedding suite so that me and my husband would have time to eat alone before meeting all the guests, they coordinated perfectly with the DJ for introducing our bridal party and making sure everyone was in the right place at the right time for things like the cake cutting or the dancing, and they made sure everything went smoothly for photos. Thank you for a perfect day we'll never forget, we give our highest recommendation!

If you are looking for a reception venue in North Jersey and you want a place that will go above and beyond to make your day special, take care of your guests, and provide a beautiful, welcoming space for your wedding – look no further!\r\rFirst, Weisser, the AMAZING assistant general manager, and the rest of the staff will do everything they can to make sure your reception is everything you want it to be. (I should note that we were not married at the MCC so I cannot comment on ceremonies there.) Throughout the entire planning process, Weisser was very responsive to our emails and I cannot emphasize enough how much of a pleasure he is to work with. When he offers advice, you should listen to him- he knows what he is talking about (i.e. day of logistics, etc.) and will know what to do to make sure your evening goes smoothly. We had a number of items we wanted put out around the club as décor and also on tables for our guests and Weisser and his team took care of everything for us. Also, many of our guests noted how much the staff at the MCC went out of their way during our reception to make sure everyone was comfortable and taken care of.\r\rSecondly, the food at the MCC is absolutely phenomenal! Months after our wedding, our guests are STILL talking about the food at our wedding. The MCC puts together possibly the best cocktail hour your guests will ever experience with many diverse, delicious food stations. I should also mention that everything throughout the evening was included in base cost. There were no options that we needed to purchase for an additional fee (as we had observed at other venues we considered). Dinner was also exceptional. Our guests had a choice between grilled filet mignon and sea bass (and they also accommodated every dietary and allergic restriction imaginable), both of which were expertly prepared and followed delicious courses of salad and intermezzo. The MCC provided our wedding cake, which was from a local bakery and was fantastic. In addition to wedding cake, there was an additional dessert selection and passed desserts on the dance floor. To top everything off, at the end of the night, Weisser and his amazing team provided guests with White Castle fries and sliders and bottled water for the shuttle back to the hotel. \r\rAside from the amazing customer service and exceptional food, the MCC also provides you with a gorgeous venue. The ballroom is incredibly elegant, with high ceilings and a newly renovated dance floor. The lounge area is warm and comfortable, with ample seating for guests during cocktail hour. Our guests also loved being about to go outside on the patio throughout the night. The fire pits and heated lamps the MCC has outside made this an enjoyable option for our guests, even though we were married on a cool fall day. \r\rAnd lastly, I would be remiss to not emphasize the incredible value of the MCC. The MCC was by far one of the most affordable venues we considered (on a price per guest basis). Moreover, for the quality and quantity of food our guests received, the elegance of the space, and the incomparable service, we would have thought we would be paying double what we had paid. We cannot recommend the MCC highly enough!! \r

Truly, if you are thinking about seeing Maplewood, just go there in person, and meet with Weisser Millien, the assistant general manager. You will fall in love with him, just like I did. It is impossible not to. He will begin to list all of the food choices and options they will provide and you won't really believe it. You can email me hundreds of silly questions throughout the planning process and he will get back to you and really give you 'it's your day, it's your choice!' support. And then, on the day of your wedding, he will deliver exactly what he promised (and probably a little bit more) and you will love him even more! We got married at the Maplewood Country Club on 8/22/15 and it was just the most amazing day, thanks to Weisser and his incredible team. From the beginning of our planning process, we were treated like royalty. The answer to every question was easily answered - both Weisser and Michael have done this a thousand times and we really felt like we were in good hand. The wedding itself ran completely smoothly. It was absolutely everything we could have hoped for and I know it was because of Weisser behind the scenes making sure every single detail was perfect. I also need to give a special shout out to Maria who was our server on our wedding day and gave me every single course and re-filled my drink multiple times even though I was having way too much fun to eat or drink anything! And also, Evanese, who helped us from 10am in the bridal suite making sure we had all of the food and drinks we needed on the wedding day and who set up the placecards, photos, etc to make sure the details were all set up according to my vision. Overall, our guests are still raving about how wonderful the wedding was - the venue is beautiful but not too opulent and the food is just OUTSTANDING and extremely plentiful. Some of our guests even though that the cocktail hour was the main dinner! Ahhh it was just the best day ever and you all need to book your weddings at Maplewood Country Club asap or you'll just regret it forever :)

MCC was absolutely perfect for our wedding! We knew the minute we walked in this was where we wanted to get married. The ballroom has the most beautiful chandeliers and we were also able to keep our Chuppah up the entire ceremony and reception. The staff were incredible from the moment we met them...they were professional, friendly, and worked very hard. Our guests told us multiple times how wonderful they were. But the real star was Weisser Millien...many say weddings are stressful but my husband and I didn't feel any of that. Weisser handled anything we needed and made it all look so easy...although we suspect it wasn't. He made us and our parents feel special the day we met him, even before we had given a deposit and it never stopped. Weisser has been doing this forever and it shows with his flawlessness. The food is insane as well and we were told by numerous people it was the best food they ever had at a wedding! You definitely don't leave hungry either. From amazing apps at the cocktail hour to a delicious dinner to way more dessert then you can imagine, the food keeps on coming. We could not have been happier with MCC and the price was completely reasonable as well compared to other places we had seen, that were less inclusive and not as beautiful!! Thanks to Weisser and MCC for making this the best day of our lives!

We had looked at so many NJ venues, and most feel like wedding factories. What really sold us, though, wasn't the beautiful grounds, the incredible ballroom, or the amazing food- it was the general manager, Weisser. He was such a professional, and took us through all of the details with so much ease and enthusiasm. After speaking with him, we booked right away. \r\rLeading up to the wedding, Weisser was easy to connect with, and so patient with all of my questions- and always knew the exact right answer. About a month before the wedding, we had a food tasting that was to die for. Our families were so impressed, and Weisser took the time to plan the whole menu with us and describe every dish. On the day of the wedding, my bridal party and I got ready in the bridal suite, and Weisser made sure we had plenty of food and drinks. Maplewood only has one event at a time, and you can really tell that you and your guests are the sole focus that day. All of the decor looked amazing, and our guests have not stopped raving about the food- the cocktail hour had stations and stations of food, passed hors d'oeuvres, caviar, and fresh pizza at the bar! Our signature drinks were perfect... and then there was dinner, the wedding cake, passed desserts, AND white castle burgers/fries at the end of the night! Weisser even remembered our request to have s'mores outside by the fire pits. Every single thing was so delicious, and multiple people have told us it was the best food they've had at a wedding. Weisser made sure every detail was perfection. \r\rMaplewood is truly a hidden gem, and so many people asked us how we had found it- and wanted to come back again! My husband and I are patiently waiting for someone we know to get married at Maplewood, so we have an excuse to come back as guests :)

I cannot say enough great things about Maplewood Country Club. My wedding was amazing!!! If you do not have your wedding at Maplewood Country Club, you are crazy. You will not find a better place, with better food, at a better cost than MCC. Let me tell you why – MCC knows how to throw a wedding. From the beginning stages of booking the venue, Weisser was nothing but flexible and easy to work with. He asked me to trust him with my wedding and it was one of the best decisions I have ever met in my life. \rThe menu MCC puts together is out of this world and EVERY single guest at my wedding (yes, all 230 of them) agree with me. Cocktail hour was full of food from their famous lamp chops, pizzas at the bar, sushi, and the best lobster raviolis I have ever tasted. The Italian and Chinese stations were such a hit, especially the Chinese stations because it was something different than your typical wedding. People were so full after cocktail hour that they barely had room in their stomachs for their entries. The filet mignon was the best I have ever tasted, trust me it was better than a steak at Ruths Chris. Now, here’s the scoop on the dessert, chocolate soufflé, passed baked goods on the dance floor (cake pops, other pastries), ice cream bars, hot dog stand, devil dogs and rings dings; you name it, Weisser made sure we had it – not to mention the delicious wedding cake and the white castle food served as guests were leaving! I am not exaggerating when I tell you that six weeks later and people are still talking about the food at my wedding. I am am begging friends to get married there so I can go back as a guest and eat all of this! Another amazing feature of MCC is their service. Their wait staff is TOP NOTCH. We had one server per table and these ladies and gentlemen were on top of everything all night long. Please have your wedding at MCC, I promise you will have the best night of your life!!

Weiser and he team were incredible and my husband and I both agreed it was the first place that went out of their way to make us feel important even before we decided to book there, and that feeling never left through the entire wedding planning process. Weiser was there to answer any question I may have had, and when I started to consider my questions dumb or apologize for being annoying Weiser was quick to stop me and tell me that answering all my questions was his job and he loved his job! What better reply could a bride to be received? Even better it was clear he meant this, he really does love what he does and it shows in his work. \r\rThe day of our wedding reception start to finish everything was fantastic and Weiser and his team were one step ahead of every concern we had. The service was impeccable and the venue itself is gorgeous.\r\rThe food was out of this world. There aren’t enough words to do it justice, but I will try my best. The cocktail hour at the Maplewood was over the top with each of the seven stations surpassing the next plus passed hor d’ourves. This was followed by an amazing presentation of salad, intermezzo, three of the most incredible main course options and for dessert our guest received at their seats wedding cake plus an apple strudel dessert, chocolate covered berries and cookies. For those guests who didn’t want to leave the dance floor – no problem, even more bite sized desserts were served butler style to them while they danced the night away. At the end of the night – to help with any potential hang over or late night cravings – guest could take home hot dogs and bottles of water. Did I mention that the food was out of this world?! My uncle joked this past weekend that he only recently starting eating again because there was enough food at the wedding to last him a year. \r\rI cannot say enough great things about the Maplewood Country Club. I recently had my wedding at MCC in early March 2015. We had 8 inches of snow the night before and the premises were cleared perfectly the next day for the event. MCC was the 3rd venue that we looked at and from the moment we walked in I knew that it was the right place for us. Michael Lusk and Weisser are so incredibly accommodating and can literally make anything happen. What they offered was so much more than I would have expected! The other 2 venues that we looked at were ok, but didn't seem personal. From the moment you walk in to MCC they treat you like family. The night of the wedding was perfect. Weisser was there every step of the way to fix my dress, grab by bouquet, wipe off my husband's forehead and when it came time to cut the cake he magically showed up with my husband's suit jacket and seamlessly helped us through. I can not say enough about MCC. There was not one flaw throughout the night and if there was, Weisser took care of it before I could even notice. I would recommend MCC to everyone. Our friends just booked MCC for their April 2016 wedding and I could not be more excited to attend as a guest and eat the food. We have been getting non stop text messages and phone calls about how phenomenal the food was. Thank you to MCC for giving us the perfect wedding!

My husband and I got married there on a beautiful August day. The ball room is exquisite with incredible ceilings and chandeliers. The space for the cocktail hour was cozy with tables and couches. The grounds were absolutely gorgeous for a summer wedding. Any bride can tell you how stressful it is to plan a wedding, but Weisser made the experience amazing! He said yes to anything and everything that I asked. Four months later and my family and friends are still raving about the food and the staff. Maplewood Country Club is truly a hidden gem! My wedding was absolute perfection and I cannot thank Weisser and MCC enough!

Maplewood Country Club was the PERFECT place to my have my wedding. 15 years ago I had the reception to my Bat Mitzvah here, and there are so many reasons why my husband and I decided to get married here. The club is just beautiful and the golf course grounds make for stunning photographs. The manager, Weisser Millien, is just amazing to work with. Every detail of the wedding (ceremony through cocktails through reception) was perfect. At one point during dinner, my 92 year old grandmother-in-law requested a specific food from cocktail hour, and Weisser happily fulfilled that request. Additionally, it was my mother-in-laws birthday. After we cut our wedding cake, a special birthday cake was brought out and all of our guests sang Happy Birthday. Our guests RAVED about the food (both quality and quantity) all night long. The food was ridiculous - beyond amazing. There was so many choices everywhere and people couldn't believe how delicious it was. \rI am so grateful to Weisser and his staff at Maplewood Country Club for the stellar service, food, and all-over professionalism during the entire planning process and execution of my wedding.\rI want to be a guest at an event here so that I can eat more of the delicious food!

I had my wedding at the Maplewood Country Club on Friday, October 10th and it was absolutely perfect. Weisser and his very attentive and caring team made sure we had our dream wedding. Everything went off without a hitch. From the moment we first met Weisser when we were looking for venues, we felt at ease and like we would be well taken care of. We came in for dinner a month before the wedding and got a preview of the food that would be served at the wedding. I had heard rumblings that the Country Club's food was really good, but it surpassed ALL my expectations. It was simply divine and there was no shortage of food. Everyone says you don't get to eat much at your own wedding, which was definitely true in our case and that's our only regret! I would have eaten more if I could! The pasta station during cocktail hour was a big hit and the lamb chops at the carving station during our dinner was second to none! The memory of the succulent lamb chops will live in my memory forever! EVERYONE was raving about the food. \r\rI looked around online for venues before visiting the Maplewood Country Club, but this was the first venue we actually visited and it was love at first site. The decor is tasteful and modern without being overpowering - allowing us to add our own touches easily. We feel we got a great value - as our price per head covered use of the club (along with linens, glasses, etc), the open bar (all top shelf liquor), cocktail hour, dinner, cake AND dessert tables, which included a flambe station!! Weisser was beyond accommodating and helped us coordinate the signature cocktails we featured (which were a big hit and truly delicious). He gave great suggestions on table coordination, outside vendors and more.\r\rAnother highlight was the outdoor terrace with lit firepits with comfy chairs around it. The guests really loved sitting out there throughout the night. It really set the tone for the kind of atmosphere we wanted - a warm celebration for our closest family and friends. Our party included only 65 guests, so Weisser worked with the space to make it feel intimate and not empty. \r\rI only wish the night didn't go by so fast, but I know it's the mark of a truly great wedding!! I'm pretty sure I will find any excuse in the coming years to host another event here. Your search for a wedding venue should start and end here. Maplewood Country Club is simply the best. \r

I had my wedding at the Maplewood Country Club on Friday, October 10th and it was absolutely perfect. Weisser and his very attentive and caring team made sure we had our dream wedding. Everything went off without a hitch. From the moment we first met Weisser when we were looking for venues, we felt at ease and like we would be well taken care of. We came in for dinner a month before the wedding and got a preview of the food that would be served at the wedding. I had heard rumblings that the Country Club's food was really good, but it surpassed ALL my expectations. It was simply divine and there was no shortage of food. Everyone says you don't get to eat much at your own wedding, which was definitely true in our case and that's our only regret! I would have eaten more if I could! The pasta station during cocktail hour was a big hit and the lamb chops at the carving station during our dinner was second to none! The memory of the succulent lamb chops will live in my memory forever! EVERYONE was raving about the food. \r\rI looked around online for venues before visiting the Maplewood Country Club, but this was the first venue we actually visited and it was love at first site. The decor is tasteful and modern without being overpowering - allowing us to add our own touches easily. We feel we got a great value - as our price per head covered use of the club (along with linens, glasses, etc), the open bar (all top shelf liquor), cocktail hour, dinner, cake AND dessert tables, which included a flambe station!! Weisser was beyond accommodating and helped us coordinate the signature cocktails we featured (which were a big hit and truly delicious). He gave great suggestions on table coordination, outside vendors and more.\r\rAnother highlight was the outdoor terrace with lit firepits with comfy chairs around it. The guests really loved sitting out there throughout the night. It really set the tone for the kind of atmosphere we wanted - a warm celebration for our closest family and friends. Our party included only 65 guests, so Weisser worked with the space to make it feel intimate and not empty. \r\rI only wish the night didn't go by so fast, but I know it's the mark of a truly great wedding!! I'm pretty sure I will find any excuse in the coming years to host another event here. Your search for a wedding venue should start and end here. Maplewood Country Club is simply the best. \r

My husband and I had our reception at the Maplewood Country Club in July 2014 and we cannot be more thrilled that we chose this venue! Unlike many venues in New Jersey, the price is fair – especially for all that you get in return. Within five minutes of meeting Weisser, we knew that we found exactly what we were looking for and more! It was the best decision we could have made. \r\rOur wedding day was absolutely perfect from start to finish, thanks to Weisser and all of the other wonderful staff members of the MCC. Boy do they know how to throw a special and unforgettable event! Weisser will make sure every detail is right and that the party runs seamlessly. He truly makes you feel like royalty and treats you like family. \r\rOur guests were absolutely blown away by the quantity and quality of the food throughout the night. The cocktail hour was truly incredible! I think our guests would have been satisfied if all we offered was the cocktail hour food, but that was just the beginning! The main course was excellent, too - all three dishes were cooked to perfection (especially the bone-in filet). The deserts were plentiful and delicious. To top it all off, White Castle burgers and bottled water were served to our guests on their way out. This was, of course, a tremendous hit! \r\rThe country club itself is absolutely beautiful. The grounds are stunning and the interior is tastefully and elegantly decorated. A perfect backdrop for a magical wedding day!\r\rCountless friends and family members continue to tell us that it was the best wedding they have ever been to! We highly recommend choosing the Maplewood Country Club for your wedding venue. You will not be disappointed. Brian and I are hoping to one day return to the MCC as wedding guests because the experience is that amazing!! \r

My hubby and I got married over Labor Day weekend August 31, 2014, and it truly was the most amazing experience. I have been a bridesmaid in six weddings and have been brought the planning process with all the girls, so I knew exactly what I wanted and had very particular boxes to check when looking for a wedding venue. The main ones being:\r-Onsite ceremony\r-One venue at a time\r-Windows\r-Outdoor space\r-Large cocktail hour space\r\rWe were recommended MCC by my cousin who attended a wedding there. He was like it was awesome and the food was amazing. So we added it to our list and started the grand tour. MCC was the last venue we visited and the second we walked in we were introduced to Weisser. With the biggest smile on his face and dapper as ever, he welcomed us so warmly. He gave us the tour and I started to check my boxes and get a good feeling. Then we got down to business, we started discussing the menu and it seemed too good to be true. My husband saw a tray of desserts go by for a small party they were having and Weisser immediately went to the kitchen and got us 3 to enjoy. We left that day and my husband was ready to put down our deposit but being the over thinker I was I had to go home and fill out my excel sheet and think about it. It didn't take much time and next Monday we called and put down our deposit and it was history. \r\rThroughout the year of planning I communicated with Weisser a lot, he always got back to mean a somewhat timely manner. We ended up renting lucite chairs and Weisser arranged a deal and the order for us. \r\rThat day I had provided Weisser with a lot of things that had to be put out and prepared, I was super into details (made custom pillow cases and pillows for the lounge, kind of details). He took care of each of them, and executed to perfection.\r\rEverything went so smoothly, he wrangled a 18 person wedding party and I didn't worry about thing. He coordinated with the florist and band and took care off all our vendors as if they were guests. \r\rLast, the food. I don' t have to say much because it's simply delicious. There is a large variety but it's so tastefully done. My guests were in awe of the quality and service. I was so happy with the food, and I know because I ate! Weissers crew made sure we had food in our suites and extra cocktail food at our sweet heart table, since he knew I loved it so much. My mom said all her girlfriends called to rave about the quality of the venue and place, it made my mom proud to have thrown such a great event.\r\rI honestly could go on and on. All I can say is if you want a quality wedding and feel good about spending that quantity of money (very competitively priced with venues in northern NJ) and be taken care of by wonderful people, Maplewood Country Club is a perfect worry free choice.

My twin sister and brother-in-law had their wedding at the Maplewood Country Club (MCC) on August 2, 2014 and we could not have dreamed of a better venue! \r\rAs the Matron of Honor, I worked closely with Weisser Millien (our contact at MCC) to make sure all of the details were in order. Weisser was very patient and easy to work with (although there were times when I had to follow up my emails with phone calls; but that might be more reflective of my neuroticism than Weisser's follow through).\r\rI don't know where to begin my praise. The venue itself was clean and beautiful. The upstairs room, the bathrooms, the main hall, etc. was obviously very lovingly cared for. We were allowed to visit several times to take photos and do walk throughs before the day of. On the day of, since there is only 1 wedding per day (a big plus for us), Weisser and the MCC staff were very attentive and helpful. From the ample parking lot to inside the venue to the golf course greens, not a detail was out of place. Our photos prove it!\r\rAnd the food! I could write novels about the food and how amazingly delicious it was. Our guests thought that the cocktail hour was dinner! There was just so much variety and all of it delicious. Most venues have yummy cocktail hour food and then terrible dinner meals, but not MCC. The sea bass, steak, etc. were perfectly cooked. But the best part was the perks. MCC staff brought out mini ice cream cones on the dance floor, there was a very large array of desserts, and then when guests were leaving around midnight, there was a White Castle station and a hot dog cart. It was really just the wedding of our dreams (that includes my dream, my sister's dreams, and all of our guests' dreams)!\r\rI would recommend EVERYONE to go with MCC. You won't be disappointed :)

I do not even know where to begin and know this will be a little long but worth reading for any couple looking to get married. Our experience, start to finish, at Maplewood Country Club was a dream come true. EVERY detail was considered when preparing. We couldn't have been happier. On our first visit I knew 100% that this was the place. We saw about 10-15 different venues but none could compare with Maplewood in the end. The helpfulness of the staff was remarkable - The GM, Mike Lusk, Asst. GM Wessier and the whole team you are truly amazing. Everyone that I worked with was friendly and very accommodating. We had around 300 guests with a mix of Italian/American + Puerto Rican/ Colombian family. Not one person was without a drink or food in hand. The quality and quantity of the food was no doubt the best around. All of our friends and family couldnt stop talking about the food for weeks after the wedding. Another highlight beside the amazing food and drinks was our wedding cake. I do not know how but between 3 pictures I sent they created a masterpiece which I loved. Everyone was raving about our wedding and as the bride all I wanted was to hear that everyone had a great time and they did. \r\rI HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS VENUE!\r\r\rBrian and Jessika Schiller

I do not even know where to begin and know this will be a little long but worth reading for any couple looking to get married. Our experience, start to finish, at Maplewood Country Club was a dream come true. EVERY detail was considered when preparing. We couldn't have been happier. On our first visit I knew 100% that this was the place. We saw about 10-15 different venues but none could compare with Maplewood in the end. Our wedding was absolutely perfect, thanks to Weisser Millien, the assistant general manager at Maplewood Country Club, and the rest of his amazing staff. From the very beginning of the planning process, Weisser made us feel at home and made the initial choice to book with Maplewood an easy one. He was accommodating from the start, and his energy and effervescent personality alone set Maplewood above all the others we visited. \r\rThroughout the planning process, Weisser was in touch constantly, always prompt with responses and put us at ease during an exciting yet stressful time. Any possible wrench that could get thrown into the works was met with his trademark smile and “That’s not a problem!” Vegetarians? Vegans? Gluten sensitivity? Dairy allergy? Kosher? Complicated family dynamics? We had a little bit of everything, and everything worked out seamlessly, without a hitch.\r\rThe food was spectacular, going so far beyond the standard chicken, prime rib and salmon. Everything we tasted — hors d’oeuvres during the cocktail hour, dinner entrees, not to mention the plethora of desserts — was beyond delicious and our guests can’t stop raving about it. We just hope one of our friends or family members follows suit so we can enjoy all the food that we were too busy to partake in (but not to worry, fellow busy brides; Weisser will grab a plate of all the greatest stuff you missed out on and have it ready for you at your dinner table).\r\rSet on a golf course with a magnificent vista, Maplewood Country Club is down to earth with an understated elegance that is just perfect. The ballroom is magnificent, with high ceilings, a gorgeous chandelier and an intimate charm unlike any other we’ve seen. There are so many reasons to get married at Maplewood Country Club, but one of the biggest is that unlike numerous other venues, the country club only entertains one wedding at a time. We had Weisser’s and his staff’s full attention the entire day, and weren’t whisked away at the end of our wedding so they could prepare for the next one — a ubiquitous trademark of wedding factories. We were just blown away by how breathtakingly beautiful every aspect of our wedding was. It’s a month later and our guests are still showering us with compliments, even going as far to say that ours was the best wedding they have ever attended. Maplewood Country Club is an amazing place to have your wedding. From the moment I first walked in before we chose the place I knew this was the venue for us. It had everything I was looking for and more. We first met with Mike who was awesome and made us feel that Maplewood is the best choice for our wedding. Our wedding was awesome. Everything looked great and the food is just to die for. We still have guests talking to us about the food at our wedding. Weisser did an AMAZING job at giving us what we wanted and keeping everything working so smoothly. He was fantastic and did such an excellent job. We have ZERO complaints about this place. We have had people say how they wanted to get married there too. It truly was such a magical day and I can not thank Weisser and all the staff at Maplewood for making our wedding so awesome and one we will never forget. Thank you!!

Bobby and I got married in Maplewood New Jersey on June 27, 2014 and we had our reception at the Maplewood Country Club. It was an amazing experience and beyond what I could have imagined. We still have not stopped talking about it and neither have our families! \r\rWe had a long engagement, which meant that we had lots of time to look around. When I walked in the Maplewood, I knew immediately that we would have our reception here. We were looking for a classy place that wasn’t too “Jersey” and that would be able to hold our 200+ guest list. After we booked, we worked with Weisser (the event manager) for more than a year to plan this day! He was a pleasure to work with and catered to our EVERY need. And as a type A person myself, there were a lot of needs all packaged into checklists over several emails. Every time we reached out to Weisser and/or met at the Club, we were treated as if we’d been members for years. The cake tasting experience was probably my favorite part! It also helped that this was a one-stop-shop – everything was included, no upselling (the cake, up-lighting, ice vodka luge, everything!)\r\rOn the day of the wedding, we did not stop hearing from people how amazing the food, drinks (including our signature drink) and service was. I think people thought that the cocktail hour was the “wow” factor, until they were served dinner, followed by ice cream pops on the dance floor, followed by a hotdog stand on the way out. It was surprise after surprise. And everything Weisser had promised us, was there and then some! \r\rIf you are looking to have a classy wedding that continues to impress you and your guests as the night goes on, the Maplewood Country Club is where you need to be. Having our at Maplewood Country Club was the best decision we could have made. Everything just included in the package for one price - ladder back chairs, up lighting, and all the food stations at cocktail hour, full open bar, etc. The food was delicious and I was amazed at how much was there. We have older relatives who are pretty picky when it comes to food and all of them were blown away. Many commented how they were very surprised how each table had their own waiter. This was a touch I didn't even know about until after the big day. Now weeks later, we are still getting comments about how much food we had and how GOOD it was. While MCC exceeds expectations in all areas, the food is truly amazing. \r\rWeisser was great to work with and made sure everything went smoothly. He is great at what he does and you will not be disappointed if you leave him in charge of running the biggest night of your life! \r\rI would not hesitate to recommend the MCC to anyone. The grounds, ballroom, cocktail space were all so beautiful and just felt different than the typical wedding banquet hall. I am so glad we were able to have our wedding here.

I don't think I could say enough to explain how great Weisser and his staff were. After the wedding both of our parents were getting calls and emails from our guests saying how ours was the best wedding they've ever been to (I even just got back from our honeymoon and got comments at work this morning!). The food was phenomenal and just kept coming! People must have thought we spent a fortune because of how much food there was, but it's a set price and you get EVERYTHING... This wasn't a wedding factory where you had to pick from a list and pay extra for a different colored tablecloth. Our guests were even commenting on how nice and attentive the wait staff were. One of my elderly guests wasn't feeling that well to eat and they packaged her food up to take home! The only negative was sometimes when I asked how some things could be set up differently (eg. where the sweetheart table or cake was located), I was told that's where it belonged... But I think they were probably correct in the end or it didn't really matter on those points anyway so I shouldn't have been worrying. Thanks for making our day wonderful!

We had our May 2014 wedding at the Maplewood Country Club (MCC) and it was even better than any vision I could have dreamed of. MCC was the first venue we visited and the only one that stuck out for us, there are no other comparisons. Weisser is an absolute delight to work with! He is very knowledgeable, experienced in planning weddings, and will answer all of your emails, he even recommended excellent vendors for us. Weisser made the day stress-free and was even able to stitch up one of the groomsman’s tuxedo jackets. He is a man of many talents! The bridal suite made the wedding day so relaxing and enjoyable by having the makeup artist and hair stylist come to the MCC to get the entire bridal party ready. The praise we have for MCC is out of this world—our guests all said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. The food is gourmet, and there is so much of it, the views are spectacular, and the staff is extremely accommodating. MCC is where your fairy tale begins!

The venue was gorgeous and very accommodating. It was my grandfather's birthday and they made a special cake for him so we could all sing. Of course I didn't get to eat much or enjoy the drinks. I was promised a personal butler and food in the bridal suite and I didn't get that individualized service I was promised. No one knew who I or my parents were to make sure we got select service. That was a little disappointing. The room was beautiful and the food was fantastic.

Through out the entire process he made us feel so special and respected, and we didnt feel like just another couple getting married. We loved the space because it gave the wedding a warm and unique feeling, which many of the other locations were so cold and blah. It was very important to us to have good food and wine. They hit it out of the park with both. Guests are still telling me how delicious the food and wine was. Cocktail hour was amazing, guests didn't want it to end!! And when Weisser tells you that you can have whatever you want, he means it!! My requests for fried pickle spears were granted. The whole process was quite fun with Weisser and the wedding was everything I dreamed about. People left with full bellys and a smile on their face. After attending so many weddings to be told that your wedding is hands down the best they have ever attended, you know you picked the right venue to make it happen. \rA huge thank you to Weisser and the group at Maplewood Country Club, you made our dreams come true!

We are so thrilled that we chose Maplewood Country Club as the venue for our wedding ceremony and reception. I visited at least 15 venues in NJ and was not impressed with any of them except Maplewood. It felt like you were a guest in their home, a cozy yet really elegant atmosphere, perfect for our wedding and number of guests we were expecting. Weisser was amazing and so responsive throughout the whole process, answering many questions and letting me and my family come to the venue as many times as we wanted to sit down and chat and finalize all details. I felt very comfortable there. All I kept hearing about Maplewood from others was the food, the food the food! and they were right. I didn't get to eat much of it because as the bride I was dancing and chatting but the cocktail hour was amazing - really good and the dinner was fantastic - really above and beyond what you expect at weddings. Really nice. Everything was easy and many of our guests said it was the best wedding they've been to. It was also perfect for a November wedding as the golf course was beautiful and green and there were some leaves still on the trees for pictures. Inside we had the fires going, and it was so cozy and beautiful. This venue, staff and food are top notch. Highly recommend!!

For those of you who prefer not to read through long reviews and would like a short version, let me sum up why the Maplewood Country Club was the perfect place for our wedding reception in a few bullet points: \r\r-The Food \r-The Service \r-The Venue \r-Weisser\r-Did I mention the food?\r\rNow the long review...\r\rMy fiance and I looked at a dozen or so wedding venues in Northern NJ before deciding on the MCC. It was a long process as we were looking for the perfect balance of venue, food and quality of service. We had initially chosen another venue in NJ by the water with a beautiful view of the Manhattan skyline but after visiting the MCC seeing the immaculate grounds, the clubhouse, the beautiful banquet hall and speaking with Weisser we just knew this was the perfect venue for us and our 160+ guests.\r\rOur wedding was held on Saturday April 13, 2013 at a Church with our reception at 6:30 at the Maplewood Country Club. Thankfully the weather was great and we were able to take beautiful photos with our bridal party on the grounds before going into the clubhouse for cocktail hour. There was so much food at the cocktail hour that many of our guests thought it was dinner! We had American, Italian, Portuguese, and Chinese cuisines, carving stations, and the alcohol was flowing. The staff had decorated the venue beautifully and had even accommodated several of our guests who had arrived before our reception started to drinks and snacks (its the little things that most people don't think about but go a long way, most other venues will make your guests wait).\r\rDinner was absolutely amazing, if you're considering having your reception here be sure to put the Chilean Sea Bass on the menu! I was a skeptic at first, as many venues claim they make great sea bass and few actually do but it was absolutely the best tasting sea bass I've ever had. The staff made sure everything went smoothly throughout the night, they were extremely professional, polished and responsive to all our guests. Kudos to our DJ, Elite Rhythms Entertainment for keeping the party rocking. You know you had a good wedding party if the lights come on at the end of the night and most of your guests are still there!\r\rAt the end of the night our guests were treated with ice cream, hot dogs and burgers from White Castle on their way out the door. For any Millennials getting married you already know White Castle is the absolute perfect meal to end your night. For days after, all our guests kept talking about was the food. I mean they'd never seen or eaten so much before!\r\rAfter we came back from our honeymoon we realized that our caketop had been \"misplaced\

Our wedding was held on April 27, 2013 at Maplewood Country Club. I would highly recommend this venue to any NJ brides beginning their search. The moment I walked in the front door I knew this was the place I would have my wedding. The ballroom is nothing short of spectacular and the golf course and the rest of the club are beautiful. As for service, their event manager Weisser is absolutely amazing. He is attentive, extremely accommodating and has a staff that is so friendly and warm that you feel like you’re in someone’s home. \rBeing an event planner, I have high expectations and pay a great deal of attention to the details - Weisser and his staff got everything right. \rLast but certainly not least, I come from an Italian family where food is the most important part of any event or holiday. I can say that the food at MCC was the best I've ever had - 5 stars! Our guests are still talking about not only the dinner but the amazing cocktail hour and hot dog cart at the end of the evening! \rI hope that anyone reading this makes a trip to the club to see what they have to offer. I promise your wedding will be unforgettable if you go with Maplewood Country Club. \r

I had the most amazing experience with this venue and the people!.....I don't even know where to start.\r\rMy husband and I visited six different venues in one weekend and by that following Monday, we decided on The Maplewood Country Club. The place itself was so elegant and meeting Weisser was such a great experience that we settled on our decision a day later.\r\rPlanning a wedding can be extremely stressful as most brides know, but I had a personal circumstance in which I had to plan a wedding in three months. Weisser took all the venue stress away from us, and had an awesome personality and great sense of humor. The owner Mike is a great guy too. We met him as well. Mike and Weisser made us feel so comfortable like we were old friends.\r\rThe day of the wedding was as smooth as could be. We did the ceremony there, and had some very young nephews as guests that started to get fussy and cry. I heard them stop soon after. I later found out from my mom that Weisser had come in and gave my nephew an ice cream cone so he would not cry anymore while we were saying our vows. How cool is that?!?!\r\rAnyway, I could go on and on, but the reason I am writing this review is because they thoroughly impressed me. I tend to not write reviews, but my husband and I went from, lets just get married in Vegas since we are not planners or wedding people, to oh my god, we are so glad we did it this way. My guests are still talking about how it was the BEST wedding they have ever been to. And did I mention I'm a foodie? Another reason I decided on this place. I heard they had the best food hands down, and this was coming from a chef that is employed somewhere else. He attended another wedding at the Maplewood Country Club and said their bone-in Filet was the best he ever had. We added that to our package and I'm still hearing about it to this day from my family and friends.\r\rObviously, this was the best day of our lives, but the MCC made it 100 times better:)

He's been there for over a decade, so organizing and throwing a fantastic party, comes second nature. \r\rI didn't have a wedding planned and am not the most organized, but he answered all my emails very quickly and when it came to the Wedding Day, he was there helping me and my husband be wherever we needed to be from the pictures, introductions, dinner, toasts, cake and more. \r\rI highly recommend Maplewood Country Club.. and the food really is delicious!

I heard about the Maplewood Country Club from two different sources when planning my daughter's wedding. After meeting with Weisser, the Catering Asstistant Manager, I decided to book this venue based on an over all good feeling that I had after touring the facility. I'm glad I followed my instincts because the event, which took place on 25, August 2012, was an absolute stand out. Here is my advice to any guest that may be attending a party here consisting of two different approaches. First, consider a crash diet for a week prior to the party to prepare for all of the delicacies that will be tempting you such as lamb chop carving stations, lobster, oyster, sushi and caviar bars to name a few. The second method of preparation might be stuffing yourself and stretching your stomach for a week before the event so that you could easily consume every tasting offered throughout the evening. Not only is the food superb, but the service and atmosphere will not disappoint even the most discerning consumer. If you want a classy, warm and outstanding event, book this venue. I'm glad I did. Kudos to Weisser and the entire staff. I hope that one day I am lucky enough to return as a guest at someone else's wedding so I can have this experience again.\r

My husband and I had actually had our rehearsal dinner AND wedding at the Maplewood Country Club in October 2011. Words cannot describe how perfect our wedding was...and the Maplewood Country Club had EVERYTHING to do with it! They were so accommodating and over the top helpful. If we had ANY request, Michael and Weisser were eager to fulfill it. They really know everything there is to know about weddings and entertaining! And don't even get me started on the food! Our family and friends are still raving about it! It was over the top delicious and there was so much of it! Food pretty much everywhere you turned. At one point, I guess the sushi chef saw that I wasn't able to eat much (brides and grooms will understand this), so he made me a plate and had it delivered to me way on the other side of the room. I ate the entire plate of sushi and much more! Seriously, if you are looking for the PERFECT ambiance, amazing food, and amazing people to work with...look no further! The Maplewood Country Club is as good as it gets! Thats why my in-laws threw our rehearsal dinner there, too! Nothing compares to the level of quality & class the Maplewood Country Club delivers. It is hands down the best place in NJ to get married. Book it now (and invite me, too!) :)

My husband and I held our wedding reception at the Maplewood Country Club, and it was hands down, the best wedding I've ever been to (I'm not biased - all the guests are still talking about it too!) the cocktail hour was AMAZING, there was so much food, people thought it was a buffet dinner. They were shocked when they got led into the gorgeous ballroom for even more food (bone-in filet!). If you are getting married in NJ, you must check out this venue. I can’t speak highly enough about the ambiance, beauty of the facility, fantastic food and the amazing staff led by Assistant Manager, Weisser Millien and General Manager Michael Lusk.\r\rWhen we were looking at wedding venues I had the good fortune of stumbling upon this venue while searching venues on theknot.com. There we not very many reviews but those reviews that they did have were fantastic. \r\rI even told Weisser he needs to have his brides post more reviews because I am telling you this is an incredible venue. I feel like it's the best kept secret and I am so thrilled with the wedding we had that I felt compelled to share. \r\rFrom our first meeting we loved Weisser and the venue is recently renovated and absolutely gorgeous. It feels very warm and welcoming like coming into someone’s home which we loved. The ballroom is big and with a good layout. The area for the cocktail hour is so fantastic with multiple rooms all connected and even outdoor space. They have a beautiful fireplace and mantel and great bar as well in the cocktail area. Also, there is only one wedding at a time so no sharing of your venue which was really nice.\r\rThe food was out of this world. The amount of food we had was truly insane and all of it was really good and very high quality. My friends and family could not stop talking about the food and how great it was. The cocktail hour had at least 5 or 6 different food stations plus a sushi bar, vodka and caviar bar, pizzas, tons of passed horderves, carving station, amazing seafood bar, etc. They even added a special polish station for us because at our tasting my mom mentioned she was Polish and they offered to add this which was so fantastic. And that was just cocktail hour. Dinner and Dessert were equally impressive.\r\rThe service was top notch and I loved the fact that everything was included. There was no tiered approach to the menu, no upselling. Basically whatever we wanted and more! Compared to other venues that had similar pricing, what we got from the Maplewood Country Club was so far superior.\r\rWeisser made the whole day so seamless. He made sure we had everything we needed and he just runs impeccable events. Anything you might think you need to worry about, he has it covered.\r\rMy only regret is I wish I could do it all over again and I seriously hope someone else I know gets married here because I can’t wait to go back!\r

I just went to a wedding at the Maplewood Country Club on 6/15/12. It was by far the best wedding I have ever been to and I've been to many in my lifetime. The venue was breathtaking, the food was the best I've ever had at a wedding and I can't say enough about the wait staff. I would highly recommend it to anyone planning an affair.
