From the moment we entered the gates of the Marbella Country Club to for our site tour we knew Marbella was a special place and by the time we walked up the staircase to the main terrace we knew Marbella was the perfect venue for our dream wedding. It was the most beautiful setting and had everything we wanted and more. We had ceremony on the lawn, cocktail hour on the terrace, and dinner on the main terrace under twinkling lights and chandeliers. We loved that there were so many spaces available to use for our wedding. We also utilized the bridal suite to get ready in and had lunch catered by the venue. The wedding packages were priced very reasonably and we liked that they offered different add-ons. We did add-on a champagne greeting for guest arrival and late night snacks, which were a hit with our guests. We continue to receive compliments on our wedding, how beautiful the venue was, how tasty the food was, and how wonderful the guest experience was. We worked with Kaile throughout the entire wedding planning process. Kaile is professional, detailed oriented, and so kind. She always answered our questions promptly. We had our dream wedding at Marbella Country Club earlier in August. From start to finish, this venue went above and beyond for us and our day was truly a reflection of their preparedness and organization. This place knows weddings! We worked with Kaile for the majority of our wedding preparations. Kaile was extremely knowledgeable when it came to the venue and their available packages, timeline creation, and general wedding planning. She hosted our initial walk-through, our meal tasting, and final walk-through. Each visit was helpful and clear, and Kaile calmed all my fears and nerves with her attention to detail and desire to see our vision to fruition. She began training Maggie while we were in the planning phase, and it was she who assisted on the day of our wedding. Maggie was also amazing! My favorite memory with her was being greeted with our signature mocktails after exiting the aisle with my newly-minted husband. Beyond the helpful staff at this venue, it is completely gorgeous and a lovely backdrop for a traditional, classic wedding. The packages are all-inclusive, making planning concise and simple. The food was incredible; many wedding guests raved about the food to me weeks after the wedding. All in all, Marbella Country Club exceeded our expectations! Marbella County Club is a beautiful place to have your wedding. Kaile and Maggie were so kind and easy to talk to when planning our wedding. They were very prompt with communication. The views of this location itself are amazing. There are many great photo opportunities. The staff is really friendly, and they made sure my husband and I were well fed during our reception. I highly recommend adding chandeliers to your tent outside and opting in for valet. We also had the BEST food and went with the filet and Seabass. Kaile is the sales director for all the weddings and she is AMAZING. So sweet, knowledgeable and was one of the main reasons why we chose Marbella because we could tell she truly cared about us. The actual venue is gorgeous and so well kept. We got SO many compliments on the food and drinks, which were part of our package at Marbella. You can also use their preferred vendors, which we did, and they are top notch. We had pretty bad weather conditions pop up three days before our wedding, and Kaile and the entire Marbella team were SO helpful and worked overtime to help us adjust our plans (moving our whole wedding inside), pulled in other vendors to help us and changed our whole wedding plan with a smile on thier face. It took all of the stress off of us, which is what Kaile and her team accomplished throughout the whole process - took headaches off our plate and put it on theirs. My husband and I had the ablsute BEST day, and a huge part of that was Marbella and thier amazing team. Best wedding venue ever!! She was so patient and kind with both of us really making the whole process not so overwhelming even though planning a wedding is extremely stressful. It was very exciting to get the call that we were going to be able to have our wedding, finally! The staff are beyond friendly and provided excellent fun service. The food was so darn yummy and the open bar service was epic. The views of the golf course are stunning and created a perfect backdrop for the whole day. You can tell she is a seasoned Event Manager. She was very helpful in explaining what to expect and maintained contact with me throughout the process. We were married in May 2021, so leading up to our wedding date, we had fears Marbella would not be open in time due to COVID. Kaile advocated for us and we were able to keep Marbella as our venue. The ceremony lawn at Marbella is unparalleled and the flow from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to reception is flawless. We had our reception on the Catalina terrace with bistro lighting and chandeliers and it was stunning. Our wedding was a true fairy tale. Several of our guests commented on what a gorgeous venue Marbella is and their food is delicious too! Another plus is Marbella has a fairly large Bridal Suite, so you can have all of your bridesmaids, Mama's, and vendors (such as make-up artists) in there comfortably. The Groom's staging area is upstairs and the Bridal Suite is downstairs, so there's no chance the groom can accidentally see you before the wedding, which was important to me. Although a small thing, something else I loved about Marbella is they recently renovated their Women's bathrooms and they are GORGEOUS! The entrance to Marbella is very grand with a gate and meticulous landscape providing an elegant experience for the guests from the moment they arrive all the way through the end of the reception. Pricing also looked very reasonable and we were excited to host our outdoor ceremony & reception on site, but unfortunately COVID-19 hit right after we booked the venue. Once staff returned from furlough, we received monthly updates from the parent company (Country Club Receptions) regarding postponement and cancellation policies. While we did have to wait until about September 2020 to get concrete updates that we could hold our ceremony only in November 2020, I did appreciate that they did their best to keep us up to date. We chose to proceed as we personally were comfortable with shrinking our guest count and forgoing our formal reception. I had the pleasure of working closely with Kaile on our ceremony details. Kaile was extremely responsive and answered all my questions. We appreciated that they prioritized safety of us & our guests throughout the planning process. The week of our ceremony, we found out it was going to be rainy & extremely windy on our wedding day. Kaile was instrumental in helping us pivot our ceremony to an indoor space. While it wasn't ideal to be indoors under current circumstances, we were grateful we had that option especially since it was quite windy/chilly outside. Ultimately, our guests appreciated that they were warm and covered as well. The weather also did let up just enough in the afternoon that we snuck out for some photos. The staff at Marbella was helpful day-of setting up our bridal lunch and ceremony space. Seating was socially distanced and guests were asked to wear masks. Although we had ceremony only, we were able to request some extra time on site so that we could do our first dance, parent dances and toasts with our guests present. We still received so many compliments from our guests about Marbella and they appreciated the property's beauty as much as we did. I wish we had more time to enjoy the venue for our wedding, but we were so happy that we were able to have our ceremony at all. I am confident that if we had to plan our reception, Kaile would have made the experience as easy and enjoyable as possible. If I had to do the process over again, I would still choose Marbella! I would like to first point out that I was planning our wedding from Memphis while my husband lives in LA so there were some hurdles to cross in terms of planning but Marbella did make it seamless. \tJennifer was our coordinator at Marbella and from day one she was extremely professional, excited and accommodating. We had requested 2 tastings (one with and without the parents), and 3 walkthroughs of which Jen needed to be planned the weekends I was in town and Jen made them happen with no hesitation. \tSince Marbella only takes on one wedding a weekend, all of the focus was on our wedding that weekend. Marbella allowed us to set up early, gave us the options to drop things off the night before, and pick things up the day after— which was exceptional considering how busy we were that weekend.\tMarbella has their preferred vendors, which we willingly used for all our rental supplies, food, cake, etc and we could clearly see why they were preferred. Our wedding was set throughout the entire reception space with our dinner being on the patio underneath a fabric tent and the dancing inside. When we arrived on our wedding day the place looked like a dream. All of our guests were amazed at the view and beauty of the venue, starting with the fountain at the entrance to the scenic golf course in the back. \tMy husband and I wanted to have a wedding that focused more on quality than quantity and so we wanted the best of everything. It’s safe to say that we had no regrets on our choice of venue and food. As stated our dinner took place on the patio under a fabric tent with chandelier lights. This allowed for our guests to take in the sunset and appreciate the nice California weather. For dinner, we chose the duet of filet mignon and sea bass and it was cooked to perfection. The filet was cooked to a med-med rare of great quality and the sea bass was moist and flaky. Our guests were beyond satisfied with the meal and amazed at the quality of the cuts, preparation, and presentation. While Marbella doesn’t cater their own wedding cake, they do cover the costs of the cake to be made at one of their preferred bakeries which in my opinion is better since more customizations can be made.\tLater on in the evening, after much dancing, we had an In-n-Out trailer arrive and serve their signature burgers to our guests. This was a special treat as my whole family is from NY. Marbella allowed the truck to park in the back at the bottom of the stairs which created much anticipation as everyone— as full as they were— could not wait to get their hands on a juicy burger. \tWe ended the night with a sparkler send off which looked beautiful in front of the fountain in the night sky. We wanted our venue to feel romantic, elegant, and personal. The 3 tiered fountain at the entrance, dramatic Mediterranean architecture, and the tall Cypress trees made it easy for us (and our photographer 😉) to fall in love with this location! The events coordinator, Kaile was so sweet and addressed any of my or my coordinator's questions or concerns in a timely manner. She worked with us every step of the way to accommodate what probably seemed like an endless amount of requests. Marbella offers a few wedding packages to choose from. I really loved that we were able to hire an outside caterer for our cultural specific cuisine, but were still able to choose from other services they offered (appetizers, champagne toasts, beverages and more). Our wedding cake was included! How amazing is that?! We made an appointment with their referent company, It's All About the Cake, sampled cakes and frostings galore, and designed our dream cake from top to bottom! We had so many of our guests compliment us on how beautiful the venue and service was. I cannot thank Kaile enough for all her help and flexibility over the 9 months of planning. With so many locations to choose from in beautiful southern California it can be difficult to find one that is willing, or even capable, of meeting all your wants and needs. I booked the venue approximately one year ago after visiting their annual Wedding Show Weekend and was blown away by the views, employees, ambiance AND REASONABLE PRICING of Marbella. Jennifer Wolf was my initial contact and was there every single step of the way to answer my trillion questions, constant event order modifications, and numerous visits for me to get the best visual of my dream wedding to come true. I was very upfront and honest about my budget, expectations, plans, and even that I was planning my own wedding to save the cost of an event planner or coordinator and she was extremely accommodating through it all. I highly recommend!!!After many visits and email correspondence on prelim details, it was time for our food tasting! My now husband (weird ) and I were blown away by everything we tasted. Warm rolls and butter we're fresh and hot, appetizers we're very creative and a great size for small bites, salads we're crisp and fresh, the entrees were delicious and also a very large portion! I follow a lot of wedding planners on social media for inspiration and ideas and see the tastings they have at other venues that are so tiny! That is not Marbella--the meal prices are extremely reasonable and a great bang for your buck. We ended up selecting the beef skewer and ahi crisp for appetizers and got GREAT feedback. As I was a little busy day of, I only had a chance to try one beef skewer, but it was as delicious as I remember during our tasting. For entrees we had the short rib and roasted chicken - both a huge hit as well!!Once we were down to the final months before the big day, the correspondence transitioned from Jennifer to her Event Sales Manager Kaile - also a huge pleasure to work with! Kaile was very responsive, accommodating, and very sweet. She was very patient with me after changing my event order a few dozen more times, modifying guest count, adding this, deleting that, etc. I met with her a few times at Marbella for the final details meetings to include table layout, napkin choices, timing of events and was so incredibly happy with their organization and templates of how they plan out the night. I owe a ton of success to my wedding day to the great staff at Marbella.After a ton of correspondence the week of to get everything situated, I felt so happy and comfortable with everything that had come together. Planning your own wedding is not an easy task, but Jennifer and Kaile really helped make it seem that way. The Ceremony Rehearsal and Day of were absolutely perfect!!! Jennifer and Kaile were out all day helping us organize our ceremony line-up, timing, and ensuring lose ends were all going to come together for the wedding day AND IT DID! They lended a hand setting up favors, table place cards, and many other small details including bringing the Groomsmen their beers during photos so they didn't go warm! Who thinks of something like that! They went above and beyond their \"jobs\" helping with details that are usually handled by a planner or coordinator without hesitation! As the day went on, Kaile and Jennifer we're available at any time. When it came time for Kaile to head home, she came up to my husband and I to let us know Ben would be available for the rest of the night if we needed anything and he definitely was! Just like the other staff, Ben was great! He even came and found me on the dance floor to ask if we got to try some of our own wedding cake (we didn't..) so he packaged some of all three flavors off to the side so we had it to take home. So thoughtful!!I could go on and on about my experience with Marbella, but all in all I want to thank Jennifer, Kaile, Ben, and the entire Marbella staff for everything. I could tell they really enjoy their jobs and the passion comes through every day when you see or talk with them. Bartenders, service team, even the lady at the front desk who saw me every time I visited Marbella was always so pleasant and welcoming. My husband and I, and all of our family and friends truly enjoyed themselves and were blown with everything Marbella had to offer including great Staff, Views, Pricing, Organization... I am just so very thankful!!Trying to wrap this up so I don't keep going -- It was the best day of our lives and we want to thank Marbella Country Club for helping be a part of it! I would recommend this venue to ANYONE and everyone! Not only is pricing very reasonable (I received pricing from at least 15 other venues in OC and SD), but the views, food, and staff combined make it the perfect wedding venue. I highly recommend!!! Beautiful Spanish country club with new modern touches and furniture that bring it to life. The staff is priceless!!! Jennifer and Kaile (venue coordinators) are absolutely amazing! Both are very professional and quick to respond or get back to your questions. They were both so helpful and friendly throughout our process! My mom and I opted not to have a planner (because most of our vendors were through Marbella) and these ladies helped us with best practices of what they have seen in the past. In addition to the amazing event coordinators, the bar staff, servers, and chef were phenomenal! Yes, you can fall in love with beautiful venues all day but if their staff isn’t as excited for your wedding as you are then what’s the point? Marbella staff turned into family because they were focused on our happiness throughout the night and I cannot thank them enough for helping us execute the wedding of my dreams!!! They will nickel and dime you at every turn, Jennifer is not helpful and does not even seem to enjoy her job, and you will not even get anything you paid for.To start, we went one year ago and met with Jennifer and Natalie. It was a short conversation, which was fine. Jennifer went on maternity leave and Natalie stepped in when we signed the contract. Natalie seemed to not have been trained properly because there were a number of things that we were promised that we were told were not possible when Jennifer returned. Jennifer is not helpful. She is curt, and unpleasant. She offers you flexibility, which is what drew me to Marbella, but in reality there is little flexibility. As a response, Jennifer basically told me she was unaware of things I asked for and gave a disingenuous apology. For full disclosure, we went back and forth with management and I was given a $4000 reimbursement, which I still feel is inadequate. 1. We paid for a premium bar and I specifically asked that only premium liquor drinks be poured. My dad and others were told that they did not have Black Label whiskey, which, is listed as one of the premier liquor drinks. Not only did you not have it at the cocktail hour but the bartenders were extremely rude to my dad. We paid for premium knowing that Black Label was included and I specifically asked Kaile to make sure there is enough of everything and she reassured me of it. The alcohol that they were serving was inconsistent with the listed premium liquor. This was one of the things stressed at our first meeting.2. Bathrooms were ATROCIOUS. TRULY EMBARRASSING. My wedding coordinator asked repeatedly to speak to a facilities person and was told that there were NONE. Its shocking to me that there was not a facilities person and this should have been mentioned to me that I needed to hire someone to refill toilet paper at the venue and clean out trash cans. 3. At cocktail hour plastic plates and utensils were used. My mom and the caterer both stressed that we would NOT be using plastic. At venues where plastic is used because of cement or for any other reason, they gave heads up in the initial meeting (Ex. Franciscan Gardens). We were not told and we specified!4. At the cocktail hour there was a tip jar at the bar. I had emphasized NOT having a tip jar many times before the event. I, the bride, actually had it removed at the cocktail hour but then saw it again sitting on the back bar filled with cash at the reception. I stressed this in my meeting with Kaile.5. I was told at 11:00 pm at the wedding that there was a fee when I go above the consumption limit. This is incredible to me, seeing as I sat down with both Kaile and Jennifer and calculated what things would cost and what it would mean to go above the limit and whether that would be more cost effective. At no time was I told that there would be an additional fee if I went over my initial consumption limit. My understanding was that I would be charged per drink after that point. 6. Additionally cake cutting was listed in what I signed yesterday and the cake was not cut or served until I went and told them to cut and serve the cake. The servers only cut the sheet cake and refused to cut the cake until I directly prompted them to. 7. We discussed tea and coffee at our final meeting. There was no coffee and the tea water was left unfilled. Reviewed on 12-10-2017

Before booking the wedding at Marbella, we checked several other venues ranging from Ritz Carlton, Monarch and Montage to Dove Canyon and Coto. We chose MCC because of its charming beauty, elegant set up and the fact that they exclusively host one wedding at a time (unlike Ritz and many other locations that book & juggle 2 weddings same night). The event coordinators, Jenn and Kaile are true professionals who generously dedicated their time and efforts to make our daughter’s wedding perfect. Guests were impressed with all the attention that was paid to every detail. Besides the gorgeous set up, it was the service that made the night more enjoyable: plenty of servers with trays of gourmet appetizers, butlers walking around and serving wine and champagne to prevent lines at the bar (guests had multiple drinks and almost no lines at the bar due to great staff to guest ratio), valet parking, well groomed professional and super friendly staff. Food was so amazing that we asked the chef to come out; so we can recognize and thank him. It takes great skills to feed 150 guests at the same time, yet have the food get to the tables hot, look elegant and taste absolutely delicious! I worked mostly with Jennifer and Kaile who were both very professional and made the process so nice and easy. All my guests were so impressed by every aspect and had an amazing time. While many other venues provide you with 4 walls, dance floor, tables, and chairs, Marbella exceeds all expectations.From the second I drove into Marbella, past the security guard, and walked into the country club past the beautiful water fountain, I thought the venue would be way out of my price range. Boy, was I wrong. The value at Marbella is phenomenal. Marbella is truly the wedding venue of your dreams...with a beautiful ceremony site with amazing golf course and water fountain in the background, to an elegant and stunning entrance that I am sure brides just dream about. After the ceremony, as you take wedding photos with incredible backgrounds that Marbella has to offer, your guests spend a cocktail hour in a warm, very welcoming area, furnished with comfy chair and a fireplace that adds elegance to the room.For the reception, your guests are taken to another location, outdoor patio (though indoor option is available), which is spacious and beautiful. The food at Marbella is absolutely top-notch. My guests continue to rave that the food at Marbella was the best they've ever had. I had a buffet for approximately 100 guests, and I'd highly recommend consider going that route. For the reception, Marbella provides everything you need in terms of tables, chairs, linens, etc. etc. etc. No stone is left unturned.For the rest of the party, Marbella has another great room, which provides a large dance floor, lots of lounging room for your guests who need to take a break, and an amazing chandelier in the bar area.Words cannot express how amazed I was with everything that Marbella had to offer. We looked at several venues and Marbella happened to be the last venue we picked out of whim. We were in awe at how beautiful the venue was! We BOTH agreed on the venue so it was a sign. The coordinators, Jennifer and Kaile, guided us throughout the planning process, making sure we had the wedding we wanted. They were amazing to work with. They recommended that we hire a “day-of” coordinator. Best decision we made, which we highly recommend. Our wedding day couldn’t have been more perfect! The weather was great, picturesque views, delicious food and all our loved ones in one place. It was a magical night. The staff and servers were excellent and attentive. All our guests had a great time, not a single complaint! We had an “open bar by consumption” with a set limit. We actually came under! We ended up doing one BIG group shots of tequila and vodka so nothing was wasted. Epic. Marbella will always have a special place in our hearts. Thank you for everything! Also, I had asked the staff several times prior to the wedding. Police were called 3 times. 2 times my coordinator met them, & 1 time I personally went out & met the police. In all cases we were within our legal contract rights. To be stressed throughout my entire wedding that the cops were being called & getting threats (even by Marbella staff) that our wedding was going to get shut down. When I asked after the wedding, the Director of F&B Stephen Connolly, mentioned that the residents at MCC are the ones who called the cops & their is nothing they could do about it. DON'T RENT YOUR SPACE OUT FOR $$$ IF YOU HAVE MEMBERS WHO COMPLAIN!!2) The BAR: I made the mistake of having a Open Bar By Consumption. I had set a $2,600 limit. I told them to keep me updated throughout the wedding to know how much we have burned through it and to see if we would open up to a cash bar or if I would add more to the tab. They not only did not keep me updated, they also charged my Credit Card for another $3,410 WITHOUT MY PERMISSION! THATS ILLEGAL & extremely unethical! On top of that, I was very skeptical about having an open bar based off of consumption because clearly who was going to stand there & watch the bar staff sit & input every drink into their POS system & how would they be accountable. I was promised that Marbella was very careful and ethical when it comes to this & that everything is rung up (which is a given) & I could get a receipt at the end with the bar tab. When I requested the 'DETAILED BAR TAB' after the wedding, I was tossed around for weeks until Mr. Connolly finally came clean & told me \"that a tally sheet is kept & once the tally sheet is total on an adding machine, the tally sheet is discarded\". How am I supposed to accept paying $5,800 for a bar that I have no idea what was consumed & how much! That's not even legal! I am going to report them to the Board of Equalization because this is not legal. I demanded to see a receipt and they don't have it. They never inputted the drinks into the system & they charged me taxes, which means they are under reporting & took taxes from me that they have no receipt for & they are CROOKS! They told me that the drink prices were inclusive of taxes and service charges, which I found out later that it is not. DON'T DO A BAR HERE AT ALL...THE PRICES ARE OUTRAGEOUS AND THEY ARE THIEVES! Over 50 of my guests complained that the staff were cleaning off tables before they were finished eating or drinking. My guests had to yell at the staff to not remove anything until they said so. This was very apparent with the drinks especially. Makes me wonder if they purposely did that so they could have people go back to the bar & get more because they had my credit card on file. As for the food, I had an outside caterer that is usually good with quantities & somehow people had to go back for more food because there plates were picked up by the staff BEFORE THEY FINISHED!4) Staff: The captain of the staff for the night YELLED AT ME just for asking what I could do to help with the noise complaints. Top level staff...DIDN'T GIVE AN APOLOGY, EXPLANATIONS, RECEIPTS OR COMPENSATION!!!5) Pictures: If you think you can take pics on premise especially when you paid over $15,000 just to rent the space with chairs/tables & a rip off bar, think again. We were the first to put the reception on the lawn, cocktails on the terrace, and dancing inside. While it was new and different, Jennifer and the staff made it feel like they've done it like that forever. The whole evening was flawless and the staff is unbelievably accommodating, sweet, and open to whatever new and fun idea you may have. To say we were happy that we picked Marbella is an understatement, they truly have it all. It was the best decision we made and I'm so glad we did! They made every aspect of this process so easy. It was so refreshing to work with people who never had attitude or seemed irritated with a question. Besides the planning being perfect, our day was flawless. Every last detail was covered. My grandma in her wheelchair had a golf cart provided by Marbella to help her around. The food was phenomenal, we made sure to take a break from guests and eat because it was delicious! The bar staff was great and very accommodating to our last minute signature drinks idea. The venue is so beautiful and we got so many compliments. Worth every penny, but honestly I think it's a steal for what you get! Definitely the best deal in town! Reviewed on 11-12-2015

Marbella let us do everything we wanted, Bistro lights, two dance floors,one inside and one outside for first dance, Photo booth, a different Gazabo, golf cart getaway car, etc. We had use of entire clubhouse.The food was outstanding, and I am a professional cook, I am not a professional wedding planner, but I did plan the entire wedding with the help of the gals at Marbella. My daughter, the bride was living in Boston at the time so I had to make all the arrangements for her. We used the cup cake store for the cake and it was delicious. Our guests said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to, and our daughter Haley and her groom Jake said it was perfect! Reviewed on 18-05-2015

Leading up to the event, coordinators Tera and Leslye were so accommodating, always ready with an answer to all my questions. The food was superb - we chose the chicken and tri-tip duo - and I am sad I didn't finish my meal at the event! Overall, the venue is beautiful, and the space for the reception hardly needs any decor because of its natural beauty. Our ceremony on the lawn was gorgeous as well - we had so many compliments! Especially Tera and Leslye. We are so glad we chose the day of coordinator option. Tera helped us book our day while Leslye kept in contact with us to make sure we got everything we requested. Both answered our questions and requests promptly. Leslye coordinated with our vendors and all of them came on time and ready for set up. The ceremony and reception came out just as we imagined and more. Everyone loved the venue, food and atmosphere. Especially the coffee bar and chocolate fountain. We are still getting calls and e-mails how our guests enjoyed themselves. Thank you Leslye, Tera and all Marbella Staff for making wedding planning so smooth and our wedding a night to remember. First I have to say that it was the most magical day ever. Everything was absolutely perfect! \r\rWe looked at several venues, but Marbella seemed to have everything that we were looking for at a pretty reasonable price. Marbella provides a very beautiful, elegant setting. One of the nice things about having the ceremony and reception at Marbella is that it is secluded and there were no distractions at all. Marbella only holds one wedding for the day/evening, so basically it is your place for the entire experience. The staff is fantastic. The event coordinator, Leslye Hansen, was absolutely amazing! She was a pleasure to work with. She made the entire experience so much easier for us. We were able to enjoy the entire process and never had any worries about anything. Leslye thought of everything and had some wonderful ideas (all of which we implemented), without adding much to our budget. The things she suggested made such a big difference in how things looked and flowed. We used all of our own vendors (photographer, DJ, florist) and Leslye did a fantastic job of coordinating with everyone so that everything went smooth. \rWe utilized three areas at Marbella … the lawn for the ceremony (beautiful green setting with waterfall in the background), the cocktail reception area and the terrace for the sit-down dinner. Everything went extremely smooth due to the extremely competent staff. At the cocktail reception, the bar was open, the staff passed signature cocktails and appetizers were plentiful. The food at the reception was delicious and the servers were pleasant. \r\rWe are so happy that we found Marbella and highly recommend it to everyone. After visiting several other venues, we realized that Marbella is quite a gem and provides great value.\r\rTera is the new wedding coordinator and came on board at Marbella at the beginning of the year. She is extremely organized and responds to emails/phone calls very quickly. I'm pretty much an A-type personality, so the responsiveness of the coordinator was extremely important to me. Tera is on the ball and a sharp cookie!\r\rOnce you book with Marbella, the Catering Coordinator, Leslye, pretty much becomes your point of contact, although both ladies are in constant communication and if you can't reach one lady, the other can help and answer questions right away. Leslye is also very organized and quick to respond to questions. Working with these two ladies just made the whole experience a pleasure. We did our final walk-through meeting with Leslye and she was on top of all the tiny details and completely put me at ease.\r\rThe ceremony space outside is gorgeous. The only problem is that the 19th hole of the golf course is right behind the space. During our ceremony, a cart of 2 men and woman pulled up and they obviously did not see us, so they were joking around and being loud. After a minute or so, the woman felt all the daggers being thrown at her and looked over and saw us, then told the guys to shut up. I wish that Marbella would assign a staff member to the golf cart path during the ceremony to make sure that the golfers are respectful.\r\rMarbella has two spaces available for the reception: the main dining room with doors that open out to seating on a large outdoor deck; and the second space is a large courtyard behind the ceremony space. We chose the courtyard space for our guest count of 60 people. It's a great space for a party of 40-80 people. We had our lighting company do bistro string lights with red paper lanterns and the space looked great!\r\rThe food was good, but not outstanding. For a banquet event though, it's pretty good. The packages are very fairly priced and I felt that we got a great value for our money. They were very flexible in making changes to the packages to adjust to our needs.\r\rAll in, we had an amazing wedding and we were extremely pleased with Marbella. I had my own wedding planner so things went smoothly, but the ceremony cite, cocktail hour, and reception were all in different parts of the country club making for a better experience. The grounds are stunning for pictures and very spacious for guest to wonder around. The ladies who helped us figure out all the details were very nice and helpful. We had a million questions and they were responsive and polite. The food is amazing and the packages are very affordable (especially for Orange County!). I will advise to have your photography visit the site prior to the wedding day. There are certain spots that are off limits, knowing this before hand is key! Reviewed on 12-01-2011
