Alexandra Sokolova(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 30-06-2018 This is a hidden treasure. I had my ceremony there and I loved it. The view is gorgeous! I worked with Ashley. She was great and helpful . . It was hot though here ( ceremony was June 30) I used sun umbrellas. I highly recommend his place !!! Reviewed on 06-07-2018
Olena Sholomytska(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 03-11-2017 For the first time we stayed at marina Del rey, we fell in love. We came back to the restaurant on multiple occasions as we are local to LA.Last year we even decided to have our wedding there as well. Staff was amazing -they made everything looks amazing, our friends and family had the best time staying at the hotel and at our reception. I am running out of words to describe how professional and accommodating the staff was: from our planner Ashly and concierge team, our chef Mark and all restaurant personnel. If weddings were to be repeated - we would do it over again at Marina Del Rey hotel. We are definitely coming back to the restaurant and staycations. Reviewed on 17-03-2018
Jon Rawlings(groom)2 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 27-05-2017 We haven't had our wedding yet but this hotel has been a pain to work with. When we first contacted the hotel their event manager was very helpful and great to work with. Unfortunately she left to take another job somewhere else and since then it has been such a pain to work with everyone else at the hotel. Since we first signed our contract they tried to change the pricing on us, which is now too high for the quality of the venue and service. We quickly shot that down as we had an agreement at the lower price. Then 4 months out from the wedding they inform us that the capacity of their ballroom is 20-30 people less than what they originally told us. The true capacity for this venue is 140-150. No one at this hotel seems to ever be at their desk to answer the phone and takes weeks to reply to emails. We once had to call the front desk 5 times to get them to connect us to someone who works in their events department and would actually pick up the phone. We have since worked with 6 different people in planning the details of our wedding since they have so much turnover. We are friends with a former employee who informs us that the entire hotel is a mess when it comes to management and employees. Wish we knew all this before we signed the contract. Now a few months out from our wedding and we're stuck with them so there is not much we can do. I would not recommend this venue to anyone. Yes its in a beautiful location and they did remodel recently. But I would not want to deal with the headache of talking to their staff just to be near the ocean. The reviews that were written before this one are probably true but that was when they had the old events manager. She is no longer there and until they hire someone competent I would not go to them for a wedding. Reviewed on 14-02-2017
Anonymous (bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-04-2017 We had a 'destination weekend wedding' at the Marina del Rey Hotel. Our families came in for 4 full nights/5 days and we pretty much took over the hotel. It couldn't have been better. The staff was top notch, the facility is intimate yet luxurious, location is great for guests coming from LAX, and the pool was enjoyed by the kids and adults alike.\r\rThe actual wedding was wonderful. Gorgeous setting, impeccable service, no issues or unexpected problems. They accommodated our last minute need for a sound system. The vendors that came in (chuppah, florist, cake baker) were all handled and we didn't have to worry about it. And the food was fantastic. Way better food than you ever expect at a Hotel venue.\r\rRecommend highly! Reviewed on 15-02-2016
Anonymous (bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-05-2016 My husband and I fell in love with the Marina del Rey Hotel, especially after its beautiful renovation. Everyone at the hotel was very helpful, particularly Shannel Crane who made herself available to us at all times. Our guests were very pleased with the venue, food, service, and accommodations! Because everyone was so helpful and everything was so great, our wedding was a fabulous success! I highly recommend the Marina del Rey Hotel to anyone wanting to have an amazing place to celebrate any occasion. Reviewed on 03-02-2016
April Amoroso(groom)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 01-08-2015 We had a perfect worry free day. Our friends told us that our wedding was the best party that they had ever been to. I know this sounds a little over the top, but I can not express what a wonderful time we had. The location was beautiful, the dining room was elegant, the food was truly delicious!!!
