My husband and I had our wedding this weekend at the Marina it was absolutley PHENOMENAL !!!!!!! From the staff, the service, the food, and this venues natural beauty..not only us but our guests are STILL in awe about how this truly was the \"best wedding ever\" !!! Joe Orzo was the best matire'd I could have asked for, its as if he was apart of my family and a guest at my wedding. He made sure everything went the way it should have . From the very first meeting we connected , and he has been such a pleasure to work with, helping to create our dream wedding which ended up being soooooo much more then we could have imagined !! My bridal attendant Tanya was amazing throughout the day and night making sure me and Mark had everything and anything we needed, and even working with Tori was a pleasure !!! The entire staff here just knows weddings , and they know them well! Not once did I have to worry the entire time at Marina about a think everything ran so smoothly. The natural beauty of the venue not only outside but inside are beyond gorgeous. The food itself and the amount of food is unbeatable starting from the cocktail hour which was unreal !!!! This was the first venue we looked at and nothing after even came close the the Marina Del Rey !!! I would HIGHLY recommend the Marina Del Rey , this was the most perfect day and a wonderful way for Mark and I to start our journey ! THANK YOU to Joe Orzo and the entire staff !!!!!!

But it was the impeccable service and attention to detail from the staff that truly made our day exceptional. The Marina del Rey on its own is absolutely gorgeous, but it is truly the people who work there that make it amazing. Sean and I got married this past Friday 4/28/23 and we were completely blown away. Joe Orzo and all the staff genuinely care that you have the best day possible. Throughout the entire process Joe helped us figure it out. Being from the neighborhood we knew we wanted to get married locally, but it was better than I could have ever imagined. There is no other place like the Marina!

We just had our wedding last night and every single person rolled out of there! No one could get over the cocktail hour. It was beautiful and had the perfect amount of various types of food to please everyone. My bridal attendant, Carla, was so attentive and there everytime I turned around fixing my dress and making sure no one stepped on it. Joe Orzo was by our side to make sure everything ran smoothly and gave me a peace of mind so I could enjoy my night. Trish was fantastic as well. The Venetian hour was to die for! Will definitely be the most talked about wedding for all of eternity. And don’t forget the views. Great photo op for both bride and groom and guests. Tori and Joe Sevino also took part in our pre wedding planning and are a great asset to the team. Thank you to the staff at Marina!

Pros: Beautiful Venue, great foodCons: I had to compete with another bride and Wedding the whole night. We were told that would never happen and it did. I had a strange man from the other Wedding enter my bridal suite while I was dressing into my gown. I was rushed off the dock where we were told we would have an hour to take our wedding photos during the cocktail hour. When we came back to finish our wedding photos, half way through taking them the other bride came and we had to share the dock and compete for the space. They just interupted our photoshoot. It was super rude and the staff did nothing about it. They told us we would have fire pits and the other wedding got them. The Wedding coordinator Joe S was rude to my photographer and my band. I gave him a typed up paper breaking down the entire wedding and reception for him to coordinate with his people and he never did. My photographer had to literally do this mans job to keep our wedding running smoothly. He fussed at me, the bride when I asked him why he told my wedding band to stop playing for over an hour. He had a super bad attitude.My bridal attendant Tanya was a Queen and so great and so was the captain! Joe was less than desirable in character. He told us yes to what we wanted to get us to sign with them but then did not deliver on the most basic accommodations when it came to me having to compete with another bride for space and time during our weddings. It was not professional.

There are not enough words to describe the amazing day we had for our wedding at Marina del Rey. From the day we walked in and were instantly greeted by Joe Orzo we knew this was the place for us. Getting Married during Covid could not have been more stressful with the constant mandates and changes to capacities and regulations. We had a perfect October day with amazing service and food. Our Guests could not stop raving about our event, from the cocktail hour options to the venetian hour presented on the outside patio everything was perfect. If you are planning a wedding with amazing service, great food and an amazing view than this is your location. Everyone from the owner to a busser is ready to assist and make sure you and your guests have a memorable day.

I will be the first to say that I did not want to do a traditional catering hall for our wedding, but with two big Italian families, Marina Del Rey made sense. One month later and I can honestly say it was the best decision we've ever made. MDR was nothing short of AMAZING. Joe Orzo was a pleasure to work with, we felt comfortable with him the moment we met. He facilitated the entire night and made sure it ran smoothly. Our bridal attendant Tanya was there to lend a quick helping hand whenever I needed. I would recommend Marina 1000x over. Thank you for such wonderful memories!

If you're looking for a venue that will treat you and your guests with better than 5 star service then Marina Del Rey is the place for you. My husband and I had our daughters wedding on 10/30/21 and it was absolutely beautiful! From the first time we met with Tori and Joe Orzo until the wedding day we were not disappointed. They were so helpful and accommodating with everything we wanted. Tori went over the whole night step by step to make sure nothing was left out. She was such a pleasure to work with. Joe was outstanding. He was our Matire'd at our wedding at MDR 28 years ago. His level of professionalism and the way he executed everything perfectly has not changed since then . We connected from our first visit and had the best laughs and conversations each time we met with him. Throughout the whole night we were treated as if we were family and our guests were also treated with the same superb hospitality. Denise, our bridal attendant, made sure my daughter along with us had everything we needed throughout the night. Her focus on making sure we were all happy was just amazing. Marina Del Rey inside and out is just stunning. The view is beautiful and the food is not only delicious but phenomenal. The presentation of the Cocktail hour and Venetian hour was extraordinary. The entire staff knows how to perfect a wedding. We didn't have to worry about a thing all night and Joe made sure we were enjoying it instead. Its been a few days now and we're still hearing how this was \"the best wedding they've ever been to\" from our guests. Thank you to Tori, Denise, and the rest of the staff. We also can't forget Carl. It was so great to meet you and we appreciate all your help and enjoyed talking to you. But we would especially like to thank Joe Orzo. You are the best at what you do and we can't thank you enough for going above & beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly. Our daughter had the wedding of her dreams! I booked my wedding at the Marina right after my first meeting with them. My husband and I sat down with Joe Savino from the beginning who broke down everything for us from start to finish. Joe was so accommodating in working with what we wanted for our day. Every time I called or went there leading up to the wedding everyone was so nice and friendly, everyone really makes you feel like you’re working with people you’ve known forever. Day of my wedding exceeded all expectations thanks to Joe Savino and Joe Orzo. The attention to detail is like no other, making sure that not only my husband and I had everything we needed and were happy but also making sure that each guest was happy. The level of service and professionalism is like none other that I’ve seen at the many weddings I’ve been to and I had so many guests say to me that night and after the wedding how amazing it was & how on top of everything they were. My bridal attendant was also amazing, making sure that everything was taken care of for me from start to finish so I didn’t have to worry about anything. I didn’t stress about a single thing on my wedding day, everything was planned down to the last detail & flowed so seamlessly. Moving on to the food. Where to start? There was so much food and it was ALL amazing. The cocktail hour was amazing and had so much to offer our guests. For the reception we did a pasta trio, everyone raved about the risotto! For the entree there were multiple choices, all of which were fantastic. To make sure my guests had the full experience my husband and I had a Viennese hour for dessert which was outdoors, right outside of our reception room. There were so many dessert options - cakes, cookies, a crepe station, ect. They really go all out when it comes to their food and it shows. Lastly, the venue itself. The venue overlooks the water which provided such a beautiful backdrop for photos. The ceremony was outside, right over the water & everything was set up perfectly to move right into an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour. My bridal suite was right next to the reception room, making it easy to sneak away when I needed. Our reception was in the Venetian room which was set up exactly how I envisioned. Every last detail was seen to. I would absolutely recommend the Marina Del Rey to anyone looking to book a venue for their special day. I can’t say enough just how impressed I was with my experience with them!

The attention to detail is like no other, making sure that not only my husband and I had everything we needed and were happy but also making sure that each guest was happy. The level of service and professionalism is like none other that I’ve seen at the many weddings I’ve been to and I had so many guests say to me that night and after the wedding how amazing it was & how on top of everything they were. My bridal attendant was also amazing, making sure that everything was taken care of for me from start to finish so I didn’t have to worry about anything. I didn’t stress about a single thing on my wedding day, everything was planned down to the last detail & flowed so seamlessly. Moving on to the food. Where to start? There was so much food and it was ALL amazing. The cocktail hour was amazing and had so much to offer our guests. For the reception we did a pasta trio, everyone raved about the risotto! For the entree there were multiple choices, all of which were fantastic. To make sure my guests had the full experience my husband and I had a Viennese hour for dessert which was outdoors, right outside of our reception room. There were so many dessert options - cakes, cookies, a crepe station, ect. They really go all out when it comes to their food and it shows. Lastly, the venue itself. The venue overlooks the water which provided such a beautiful backdrop for photos. The ceremony was outside, right over the water & everything was set up perfectly to move right into an indoor/outdoor cocktail hour. My bridal suite was right next to the reception room, making it easy to sneak away when I needed. Our reception was in the Venetian room which was set up exactly how I envisioned. Every last detail was seen to. I would absolutely recommend the Marina Del Rey to anyone looking to book a venue for their special day. I can’t say enough just how impressed I was with my experience with them!

We had our wedding here a week ago and couldn't be happier with the venue and our big day. First off, we had to postpone our wedding 4 times due to covid and they were more than happy to move it for us due to the unfortunate circumstances, which made it so much easier and less stressful for us Both banquet managers, Joe Orzo and Joe Savino, made the night go very smoothly and kept us on schedule. My dress had some dirt on the bottom from taking pictures and one of the bridal attendants spent the time trying to scrub it out for me. Cocktail hour had so many different kinds of food and all the food/dinner was absolutely phenomenal. Our guests were raving about it. The sunset on the water was so gorgeous. It was picture perfect. The only thing that bothered us was that we booked this venue for the water view, but they put a huge tent up outside in front of all the open windows in the room that couldn't be taken down. We would highly recommend that you have your wedding at this venue. You wont be disappointed.

From day 1, Joe Savino and his team were amazing and I could not have asked for a better venue to help bring my wedding dreams to life. The Marina del Rey is stunning, but the food is phenomenal and the presentation of the cocktail hour and Viennese hour is extraordinary(-now, 3 weeks later, my wedding guests are STILL talking about about impressive it was). She answered every email, phone call or concern with comfort and ease especially during this time she was extremely empathic and it really comforted us.You do not need a day of coordinator with the Marina Del Rey it will be a waste of Money.Joe Orzo our maitre D was absolutely amazing with 40+ years of experience it really showed he handled the whole night with us ease. He really paid attention to any details and really made sure everything ran smoothly. Also, he took care of our families and checked in with them to assure that not only were we okay but they were as well. Tanya was my bridal attendant and wow did I not realize how much she would really be helping me from holding my dress, grabbing us drinks, sowing my dress (yes sowing). She really was attentive to myself and most importantly my mother as well who was extremely grateful for that. Marina Del Rey is incredible, great views of the Hudson river overlooking Whitestone and Throgs neck bridge, great for pictures, the reception room we chose was the smaller one but still rich and opulent in elegance it was absolutely stunning - blessed to have an amazing team that helped to answer my questions during the planning process and helped guide me during the day of. Denasia Gilley, Joe Orzo and Tanya. I love you guys, you were all amazing and total pros. Had an emergency because I forgot my vow booklet at the hotel and I had to think fast on an alternative option (good thing I had emailed myself the vows). They were very patient even though I was getting pulled all different directions I never felt overwhelmed because they were there to help assist. As most weddings go- even with all of the planning, something goes wrong on the day of, but you would never even know the way that Joe took care of everything. I had my wedding at Marina del Rey on May 25, 2018 and it was absolutely perfect. You can’t get a better location or a better view - right on the calm water, great views of the bridges. Thankfully we had great weather so my guests really got to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere. Joe Savino was AMAZING to work with. I don’t even know where to begin. Right away from our first meeting, he made us feel comfortable and really listened to what we wanted so that our day would be perfect. He was very accommodating and really made sure that our wedding would feel like ours. He was always there whenever I had questions, reassured me whenever I was nervous, and ensured me everything would be perfect – and it was. The day of, he checked in with us frequently to make sure we were happy with everything. The service of the entire staff was wonderful and our guests kept commenting on how great it was and how amazing the food tasted. The only thing I wish is that it didn’t go by so fast!

I had my wedding at Marina del Rey on May 25, 2018 and it was absolutely perfect. You can’t get a better location or a better view - right on the calm water, great views of the bridges. Thankfully we had great weather so my guests really got to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere. Joe Savino was AMAZING to work with. I don’t even know where to begin. Right away from our first meeting, he made us feel comfortable and really listened to what we wanted so that our day would be perfect. He was very accommodating and really made sure that our wedding would feel like ours. He was always there whenever I had questions, reassured me whenever I was nervous, and ensured me everything would be perfect – and it was. The day of, he checked in with us frequently to make sure we were happy with everything. They're professionalism and honesty throughout the planning process really put our minds at ease for the big day. Our Wedding day turned out exactly how we envisioned it and it is all thanks to Joe and his team at Marina del Rey. They not only took care of our needs, but our guests as well. Our families and friends are still raving about the food and the service, not to mention the location! The Bellagio room is spectacular, along with those bridge and Long island sound views! We had such an amazing time at our Wedding, we can't wait for someone we know to get married here so we can't enjoy it all over again!

We had our wedding at the Marina Del Rey on Saturday, October 7, 2017 and the staff and service were OUTSTANDING! As the wedding day was approaching, although I was stressed or nervous, I never had doubts about choosing the Marina. I had never heard of the Marina prior to our wedding planning but my husband and everyone in the Bronx and Westchester knows the Marina and their rich history. During my wedding planning, my husband and I visited a lot of the venues in the Bronx and Westchester and the Marina stood out from them all. The grounds are beautiful and we were lucky to have our reception in one of the newly renovated rooms. The food at the Marina is AMAZING. We had our tasting a year before the wedding and I always remembered how delicious and fresh everything was. All of our wedding guests talked about how much food they had and how good everything tasted! Some were so full from cocktail hour that they were unable to finish their dinners and requested take away containers! Our Maitre’D, Joe Orzo was PHENOMENAL to work with. I have type A personality and I was always impressed at his mannerism and professionalism. He worked closely with us from day one and always took the time to answer all of my questions and provided constructive feedback for some of the ideas we had. Despite how busy the Marina is we always felt like we were his only customers. During the wedding I constantly saw him, he even followed the servers and team to ensure everything was running perfectly. We had several family members and friends speak at our wedding and Joe did a great job of arranging the speeches so the guests won’t not get bored listening all the speeches at once. Tanya my bridal attendant went above and beyond. She has a calm demeanor, which helped put me at ease and was always near by to ensure I was ok or needed something. She’s bilingual, which was a plus when interacting with my mom and some of my family who feel more comfortable speaking Spanish. She was also involved in setting up the ceremony and reception areas and requested my confirmation how things were set up, which I really appreciated. She is EXCEPTIONAL and I hope the upper management at the Marina are aware of this! If you are considering the Marina, don’t think twice before making an appointment and choosing them for your event!

Where do I start?! Both Joe's and Tori were amazing, friendly, and flexible. We worked closest with \"Tall Joe\" and he was absolutely incredible. Joe made sure everything was personalized, from displaying my husband's Purple Heart and Army decorations (as we donated to Wounded Warrior for our favors), to ordering Dominican rum for the wedding (he even gave us an unopened bottle to take home!), and even arranged for a pig to be prepared and served at the wedding (my grandfather insisted on this...). It's been a month since the wedding and everyone is still raving about the venue and the food. Not only was there a lot of food, but it was delicious! My Dominican in-laws were impressed with the plantain dishes! Also, the view is obviously unbeatable. It was super convenient to have our photos taken outside. Overall, Marina Del Rey was the reason why our wedding was amazing, hands down. Food was amazing and endless, beautiful scenery, and incredible staff.

My husband and I had our wedding here 5/21/17, and couldn't have chose a better venue! It was absolutely AMAZING!!! The Marina is the place to have your wedding. Joe Savino, Joe Orzo and Tori were awesome to work with. Joe Savino made sure nothing was left out from the minute we went JUST look at it, I loved all the venues we looked at but nothing compared to the Marina Del Rey and its significant views! Not only did we get married here but my parents, aunts, uncles and cousins. There is no place like the Marina, right on the water, beautiful lobby with refreshments as our guest arrived, to endless tables of food at the cocktail hour and more food in the reception AND they even came around with seconds! Everything went so smoothly from booking our date, going over our menu, bringing everything in a few day before especially since I did my own centerpieces. I told them how I wanted them and they did exactly that! All of the staff made us feel so important including the bridal attendants. I wish we can do it all over again!

If I was able to give more than five stars, I would! We heard so many great things about Marina Del Rey, from the service, to the location, to the food everyone had great things to say! The first time we walked into Marina Del Rey both of us fell completely in love. We agreed before seeing the rest of the place, we were destined to have our wedding reception here! The location was perfect. We fell in love with the view, and knew this place would capture amazing memories.The staff- AMAZING. Two Words…JOE ORZO! From welcoming us with open arms from day one to making sure we were satisfied on the night of our wedding. I cannot say enough kind words about him. He was everything we wanted and more. He is simply THE BEST. The day of the wedding, he never left our side and was continually asking us if everything is OKAY. My Bridal attendant was Denise. I cannot say enough kind words about her either. She tended to our every needs. She memorized all of the bridal parties name from the moment we got there! she was amazing. She even gave us extra food! The food... Simply amazing. Best food at a wedding I’ve ever had! We knew from the food tasting that we were in great hands! I’ve never had so many people come up to us during, and after raving about how good the food was. Our cocktail hour started at 5:30 and Joe wanted our guests to arrive as early as possible. He had cocktails, and beverages set-up in the lobby for all our guests. From the pasta trio(with the worlds best garlic bread), to the main course, to the individual plated desserts for each of our guests it was the best dinner we have had at any wedding. Ohhh Did we forget to mention the HOT ZEPPOLE being passed around?? Enough said! Do you want to have an amazing wedding? Do you want to enjoy your day and not worry about a single thing? Can't tell you how many compliments we got on Marina's food, service, and decor. Our guests were really wowed and blown away. Joe S was on point the whole night and my bridal attendant Amanda was constantly making sure we were eating, drinking, and had everything we needed. I can't recommend Marina any more. Best venue we could've booked.

There are seriously no words for how incredible this place is. The location, the view, the FOOD! my guests are still talking about the food! Their cocktail hour is out of this world; some guests thought the cocktail hour was dinner!\r\rThe staff is so professional, yet makes you feel like family. Everyone is so attentive and it really made my husband and I feel so at ease. We didn't have to worry about remembering to do something, because by the time we remembered, someone on their staff had already taken care of it.\r\r

We had the best day ever and it was all thanks to Joe Savino and the rest of the staff at Marina Del Rey! It was the BEST decision to go with this venue!! Joe and the staff went above and beyond to make sure the day was everything we dreamed it would be. They were so attentive and made sure everything moved along smoothly! Joe even went as far as finding someone that worked there to do something special that we wanted but couldn't find someone to do! Not only are the grounds AMAZINGLY beautiful, the food was delicious and everyone had the time of their lives! If you are wondering whether to go with the Marina or another venue, pick Marina! You will not be disappointed with anything!

This place is by far the best venue in NY! If you haven't gone to do a run through and see what they are about I highly suggest you do! Tori & the Joe's were all soo accomodating and such a pleasure to work with. They completely took care of us from start to finish and went above and beyond to make our wedding night truly spectacular. I highly recommend you give them a call. Next event I am booking there!

This place is by far the best venue in NY! If you haven't gone to do a run through and see what they are about I highly suggest you do! Tori & the Joe's were all soo accomodating and such a pleasure to work with. The staff at Marina del Rey helped to make our day even better than we could've imagined. The service was impeccable, and the staff was helpful in every way, not to mention kind and courteous as well. The management was helpful throughout the planning process, answered any questions we had, and alleviated any concerns with their expertise, and the staff the day of the reception was attentive and pleasant. The food was incredible, and the cocktail hour was beyond imaginable--we received much positive feedback from our guests. And, of course, drinks flowed freely with staff circulating regularly to ensure our guests had anything they needed, as well as manning the bar.

I got married on Oct 11, 2014 and we had our reception at Marina Del Rey in Throgs Neck. What a beautiful view between 2 bridges, we got tons of gorgeous shots! Marina del Rey did such an amazing job, did not disappoint in any way. My bridal attendant(Denise) was really on point and super sweet, making sure I ate and drank and helping me around for all of my pictures. The maitre d Joe had everyone moving really quick setting up tables exactly as i requested and that continued throughout the night I saw him on top of everyone working in the room. From the second we pulled up in our limo I felt so relieved. The catering hall itself is just so beautiful and I could feel it, everything was going smooth and under control, which is exactly what you want to see on your wedding day. The food was delicious, and there was tons of it! They definitely do not lie when they tell you you are getting an amazing cocktail hour! And the Viennese was just as amazing and just as grand as cocktail hour. It was so nice to see all my guests making tins of sweets to take home! And finally as everyone was leaving they received bottles of water and little cinnamon dough treats to have on the ride home! I got over the top compliments from my guests about my wedding and most of my guests have been to many weddings, it gets hard to impress them. I absolutely loved Marina del Rey and would pick them a million times over if i had to do it again.

Absolutely, hands down, THE best wedding I have ever been to. You can look at it one of two ways, you might think I am bias because it was my own wedding OR you might be extra impressed because this review is written from the point of view of a critical bride.\rMarina Del Rey is obviously an incredibly beautiful venue from the water fountain in the entrance, to the gorgeous gazebo, east river backdrop and city skyline view, but what really makes this venue so remarkable, is the food and most of all the staff.\rLets start with the food... The cocktail hour was so lavish that guests were asking if it was actually the dinner. We happily told them no, they had a choice of 6 entrees made to order, each one, excellent options in their own right.\rNow the staff... Joe Orzo, our maitre'd was simply AMAZING, and THAT is an understatement. The entire night flowed seamlessly in his hands, allowing us to actually enjoy the moment and interact with our guests. Denise, was much more than a bridal attendant, taking care of all six of my bridesmaids, as well as the groom and his six groomsmen. I'm not sure of Trisha's title, but she did an incredible job, suggesting and executing last minute touches to the reception area from the cake topper to the bridal table runner.\rMarina Del Rey has decades of experience putting together great weddings, and on my big night, it was more than apparent. Thank you Joe and team for making this night better than I could ever have imagined!

What a beautiful venue with a beautiful view. I had a lot of guests from out of town and they couldn't believe they were in the Bronx. Everyone raved that it was the best wedding they had ever been to with the amazing food, views, and that that got to enjoy not only the inside but also the outside sitting by the water watching the sunset. Everything at the Marina is top notch the food, the service, the Maitre D takes complete care of everything for you. There was not one thing I had to ask for the entire night everything was perfect without me asking. And they have the BEST food!! Many weddings the food is just ok but not at the Marina every single person raved about it!!

What a beautiful venue with a beautiful view. I had a lot of guests from out of town and they couldn't believe they were in the Bronx. Everyone raved that it was the best wedding they had ever been to with the amazing food, views, and that that got to enjoy not only the inside but also the outside sitting by the water watching the sunset. I got married July 29 2012 and a couple of months back when I went looking for a place I remembered that my girlfriend got married at this beautiful place on the water and the view was incredible overlooking two bridges. It was breathtaking. And to top it off the food was insane. We all been to weddings where the place is beautiful but the food sucks. This place has it all! The food, the elegance, the view, the people are great. They really catered to me and my husband. I'm so happy that I got to experience a wedding there and have my own as well. It's about 35-45 minutes from Brooklyn, Staten Island. Closer from queens and Long Island. The only way you will know what I'm talking about is to go and see for yourself. They have a guaranteed food tasting before you book your hall and if you don't like it you get your money back no ifs ands or buts about. Check it out!! Love it and have no regrets. Everyone at my wedding couldn't stop talking about my wedding. One of the best caterers I ever been to.
