Mavris Arts & Event Center is a historic wedding venue with a modern twist situated in Indianapolis, IN. This four-story redbrick building was constructed in 1883 and to this day retains the authentic character of a grocery-goods terminal. The interior rooms have been reimagined to exude an upscale industrial aesthetic. Authentic warehouse accents such as exposed brick walls and wooden beams have been retained and restored to a high-end finish. Here, you can curate a refined, urban celebration that offers something a little different than the traditional wedding venue. Mavris Arts & Event Center is home to both indoor and outdoor spaces that can be curated to reflect your unique vision. You can hire the first, second, and third floors and the penthouse patio as part of an all-inclusive package if desired. The rooftop terrace is a romantic spot for your ceremony and cocktail hour, complete with string lights, a pergola, luxury-lounge seating, and views of the cityscape. Inside, The third-floor east and west rooms and the speakeasy are ideal options for your evening reception and drinks party. The third-floor west room is characterized by polished wooden floors, large windows, and exposed brick walls. Chandeliers contrast nicely with steel ceiling pipes to lend a distinctive air of edgy elegance. A grand piano in the corner not only looks great but makes this an ideal place for cocktail hour and a sing-along. The speakeasy echoes the main buildings’ factory-chic vibe, with low ceilings and ambient lighting making it the perfect place for a night of partying with your friends. This room has an exclusive entrance off East Street for your privacy and convenience. Preparation suites are yours for the day, so you can refresh in front of vanity mirrors and chill on plush sofas between photos and dinner. The dedicated team at Mavris Arts & Event Center wants to make your wedding day one to remember. The in-house event designer and coordinator will collaborate with you to bring your ideas to life. They oversee pre-wedding plans and take care of day-of management such as setup and breakdown. The executive chef designs menus to reflect your tastes and theme, with everything from appetizers at cocktail hour to evening meals available. Bartenders and members of the catering staff will be on hand to pair beverages with each course and provide bar service on the night.

We had our wedding at Mavris 10/22/22 and it was an absolute DREAM. The place is absolutely stunning. We had Claire as our planner and she was SO HELPFUL, answering all my non-stop emails all the way up to the day of the wedding and she made the day-of go so smoothly. We got constant comments about how AMAZING the food was - many said the best food they’ve had at a wedding ever. We have absolutely no regrets about picking the Mavris for our wedding, we would do it over and over. It was the best day ever thanks to the beautiful event center itself and all the amazing workers.

My husband and I got married at Mavris on November 4, 2023 and it was a dream (perfect weather, beautiful space, delicious food, great bartenders). Our guests still rave about the food and the event space is amazing! The only thing keeping us from leaving a 5-star review is that unfortunately Mavris has been having a staff turnover problem and this impacted our experience. If we could go back in time, we would still use Mavris however we would hire our own coordinator to be available for the Rehearsal and Day-of. Unfortunately our Venue Coordinator (Taylor) assigned to us was not very attentive to detail. I had to run our rehearsal because she kept providing incorrect information to our parents and bridal party, including the order of the bridal party for the processional despite having it on paper in front of her. She was late and MIA almost the entire day of the wedding. Our wedding did not have a lot of moving parts for her to keep track of so it was astonishing that basic things (like steamers in the getting ready suites) was something she couldn't provide for us despite requesting it in advance. She also kept communicating wrong information to our family and bridal party as well as not setting up everything per our diagrams and documents with the venue. In addition, we still have not received our security deposit back and it has been almost 2 months since our event. (We do have confirmation we were to expect the deposit back/ there were no incidentals from our event). Our coordinator no longer works with Mavris which is great for future weddings, but make sure you have someone ready to advocate for your wants on the day-of to remove a LOT of stress from your day and provide a more seamless experience than what we encountered.

We LOVED the Mavris! They had a change in staff during our planning process and the transition was so smooth. We did it in the Speakeasy basement room, which was perfect for our under 100 guest list. Taylor was great to work with and we are so thrilled with how everything turned out! Many compliments on the space and food.

The Mavris is an absolutely gorgeous venue! The exposed brick, woodwork, ample space, and phenomenal layout make it perfect for a wedding or most any large function. They have a lot of small touches (getting ready rooms, photos in the elevator, outdoor staircase) that add up to a wonderful space. The in-house catering team is also absolutely incredible! We got so many compliments from our wedding guests on the food both at cocktail hour and for the plated dinners!One downside right now, however, is that the venue seems to be going through a period of turnover in event planning with a lot of new team members. In our 18 months between booking and the wedding, we worked with 3 different team members - each of whom would tell us slightly different, conflicting things about what the venue could and couldn't do; we even had to do our big 3 hour planning meeting twice because of this. Even once we got to our final person to work with, every updated BEO statement that was put together was slightly off and had to be corrected and compared to the pricing in our original signed contract. Also - I had a friend who understood our vision work alongside the day-of coordinator to help set-up. While this is not something Mavris requires, it is something I highly recommend as she was able to advocate for us and fix things the day-of coordinator didn't have correct.Overall, Mavris is absolutely a 5 out of 5 venue and I have absolutely no regrets about having our wedding there. It was the perfect day in an incredible space. That being said, just make sure you're advocating for yourself and have someone in place to advocate for you on the day of the wedding!

Always made to feel a priority, very detailed process of planning and wonderful staff. I couldn’t recommend Mavris enough! Olivia was our coordinator and made our day a breeze! Mavris did a wonderful job for our wedding venue!Olivia, Maddie, and Claire were wonderful and helpful in the planning process. Mavris has a helpful guide of which vendors they have worked with in the past, which was helpful for finding the right person for the job. Their decorum during the day was also impeccable, we truly felt taken care of which gave us the ability to relax. We were worried at first that the venue only allows an in-house caterer for the plated meal, but this worry soon faded when we tried the food from Mavris. Mavris also allowed us to use an outside caterer for the cake and additional desserts, a great accommodation that really solidified our choice.Good atmosphere, amazing food, and helpful and knowledgeable staff!!

Mavris is a gorgeous industrial-style venue. With 3 floors and an outdoor space there were a ton of places we could hold the different parts of our day and lots of places for pictures! The staff was so helpful and very responsive, which is honestly what I valued highly during the planning process as a bride. We had more than the average amount of dietary restrictions also, and the catering team was able to work around a lot of this to help us feed everyone! I couldn't rave about them enough!

Best Day Ever! Best venue ever! If your looking for simple elegance this is the place. If your looking for amazing coordinators this is the place. We had our wedding there when I tell you from the time we meet with coordinator to the last moment of our wedding it was nothing but great vibes. Our coordinator Oliva is amazing to work with she just knows how to make a bride feel great. And knows what she’s doing Keep up the great work Oliva. Not to mention the whole ENTIRE staff at the Mavris are wonderful. If I could do it all again I will choose this venue words can’t express how they made us feel throughout the process. Book them!

Her personality was absolutely addictive. She was there to walk us through every step and made it such an memorable and more importantly easy experience. Next the venue itself. The venue is stunning and everything you could need for a wedding experience. The bridal suite is perfect, the grooms suite is perfect, the venue itself is perfect. Having both indoor and outdoor options makes you feel comfortable that not matter what, your day will be perfect. The host staff, the servers to security to just the operations staff around that day were incredible. Everyone was so friendly and helped with any issues we needed.Lastly, the food. I could write a review on the food alone. We have approximately 20 people tell us it was the best wedding food they've ever had. Many being married couple who have had their own weddings. We can't thank Mavris enough for making this day everything we imagined, and we truly hope another pair of our friends get married there just so we can be there once more.

We had an incredible experience with The Mavris. It's a cool venue - not only for the aesthetics but the way that the wedding night flows from one area to the next. It adds a really fun rhythm to the night that everyone enjoyed. The food was a hit from the appetizers to the late night snack. There were a ton of good options and the chef worked with us to make sure we were able to serve exactly what we wanted. I don't want to minimalize these and the many other reasons you should choose this place, but the brightest part about doing our wedding at the Mavris were their coordinators. Working with Olivia made every step of our wedding process easier. She was knowledgeable, kind, and fun. She had answers to questions we didn't even know to ask, made time for inquiring mothers and needy vendors, and made sure that we didn't have to think about anything on our big day. At every turn, Olivia and the Mavris put an out-of-depth, scatter-brained couple at ease. Consider The Mavris.

We had an incredible experience with The Mavris. It's a cool venue - not only for the aesthetics but the way that the wedding night flows from one area to the next. It adds a really fun rhythm to the night that everyone enjoyed. The food was a hit from the appetizers to the late night snack. There were a ton of good options and the chef worked with us to make sure we were able to serve exactly what we wanted. I don't want to minimalize these and the many other reasons you should choose this place, but the brightest part about doing our wedding at the Mavris were their coordinators. Working with Olivia made every step of our wedding process easier. She was knowledgeable, kind, and fun. She had answers to questions we didn't even know to ask, made time for inquiring mothers and needy vendors, and made sure that we didn't have to think about anything on our big day. At every turn, Olivia and the Mavris put an out-of-depth, scatter-brained couple at ease. Consider The Mavris.

Mavris and their staff were AMAZING. By far excepted all expectations. Olivia was our coordinator and was so helpful, attentive, kind, and organized. She helped the rehearsal and entire wedding to run perfectly. It’s obvious Mavris staff know what they’re doing. Guests also notice because we received several compliments of how well Mavris’s organization and flow was! Also good was FABULOUS. Three months post wedding here and my husband and I still say there isnt a single thing about our wedding day that we would change. It was perfect and a huge part of that was due to Olivia and the rest of the incredible staff!!

Working with the Mavris was such an easy process from the beginning. Our day of coordinator, Olivia, was so informative and answered all our questions, big and small. She was wonderful in working with our different vendors, which helped keep my to do list to a minimum. She understood our vision and made our dream wedding reception come to life. We asked the Mavris to recreate our favorite spicy margarita as our signature cocktail, and it was so delicious. They hit everything out of the park. If I were to do it all over again I would have no hesitations about working with Olivia and the Mavris team over and over again.

I will continue to recommend the Mavris until the end of time. We hosted our wedding in June 2021 and had booked our date two years in advance. We originally booked the venue after falling in love with it at a previous event and hearing how accommodating the staff was. They did not fail to disappoint. 
Through all of the stress and changes of covid wedding planning, Maddie and the staff kept me well informed and helped with navigating adjustments as our date got closer. They were super accommodating with our food choices and even went out of their way to have our favorite local rum in stock to make our signature drink. I appreciated the way they organized their planning process and meetings where everything progressed in a timely manner that left me feeling less stressed as each day went by leading up to ur event. They were the most transparent venue with pricing and helped navigate costs and savings with some of the upgrades we wanted to apply. Very few venues will help the week of your wedding the way The Mavris does. Maddie and the team coordinated all the micro details with my vendors, setup all of my decor for me, and coordinated/managed the timing of the entire day. The entire reason our day went as smoothly as it did can be attributed to the Mavris team. We had a HOT June day and the staff kept our guests cool, comfortable, and happy. Three months after, we are still receiving compliments on how beautiful the venue was, how delicious the food was, and how helpful the staff was. Choosing The Mavris was the best decision we made in our wedding planning and I could not recommend them enough to anyone considering hosting their big day here.

We had both our ceremony and reception at Mavris and it was absolutely incredible!! Not only is it such a beautiful venue, but the staff is amazing to work with. Our planner was Maddie, and she went above and beyond throughout the whole planning process. Our wedding day was perfect and so stress-free thanks to all the wonderful staff. I also loved the fact that they handle all rentals and food for you so all you have to do is make some decisions. It definitely takes a few calls and headaches off your plate by not having to find rental companies or a caterer!We cannot recommend this venue enough!!!

I LOVE MAVRIS! I cannot recommend this venue and their staff enough! Especially Megan Mattingly! She was the true all-star of our wedding, she came in late to the game bc our other planner was pregnant and decided to take a step back from work. Megan stepped in like she had been working on our wedding for the last year! She was absolutely amazing. The other support staff were fabulous as well. Mavris worked with us as we obviously had less attendees than we initially had planned and they were extremely gracious with allowing our numbers to decrease more than our contract had dictated previously (signed prior to COVID). And, not to mention, on the day of the wedding this venue was more than Jeff Brentin and I could have ever imagined. It was absolutely gorgeous, the ceremony went perfectly, the food was AMAZING, and everyone had a BLAST. I cannot thank you guys enough, I highly recommend this venue!

I can’t recommend the Mavris enough! Our guests had an amazing time at our wedding and so many people complimented their team. They are all incredibly professional and hospitable. We worked with Olivia for about a year and we were constantly impressed. She is so good at her job and has a wonderful personality! On our wedding day, she made sure that everything went off without a hitch, so we could truly enjoy the day and spend time with our guests. We booked the venue before COVID-19 and then had to make many adjustments, but their team was flexible and accommodating as much as possible. The space is beautiful and is perfect for social distancing. Everyone enjoyed the night safely and no one got sick from our wedding. We also lost our DJ due to COVID, but were able to use the venue’s sound system and microphones for music and toasts. They honored my requests to use different sizes of tables for the reception to seat guests only with their household and space out everything. Their food service is well thought out. Dinner plates are served with covers, condiments are in individual servings for each guest, and all employees wear masks and change gloves frequently. The food is also amazing and the chef even makes his own gluten-free bread. That is unheard of!You should feel confident booking your event at Mavris. You will be in good hands and love the experience!

My daughter went through Mavris for her wedding and reception in August 2020. This date was a reschedule from her original date in April 2020 due to COVID-19. Of course there were major headaches with planning around the virus but we overall did feel that Mavris was good to help us through the stress. Since the original date was not allowed to happen as the 10 person limit on all weddings at this time. They were easy to reschedule our date from the original date without penalty. Unfortunately, as her August date approached the COVID counts started to increase. They were treated like a restaurant with 50 % of capacity or 150 people. We were not comfortable with having a large group and many of our guests had backed out as the date approached. We discussed having a smaller group for safety. We were already down on the number of guests that would come and decided to reduce to 62 people. We wanted to limit the number of people and just have close family or friends there. We also wanted more small tables so only families were seated together. They were willing to adjust the guest numbers without trouble and gave us a discount for the reduced numbers. I felt that they were very fair with our family. I also felt that our coordinator, Maddie, was great to work with us and made the day of the wedding run smoothly. The wedding was everything my daughter wanted and can't say enough about how well everything went on the day of the wedding. The wedding and reception set up was just what we wanted. The food was the best I have ever had at a wedding and got lots of compliments from guests. We loved the convenience that everything was in the same place and no outside catering was required. Much less stress. Our only bump in the road was about 2 weeks before the wedding the owners of the facility wanted us to personally sign a liability statement that we were not comfortable with doing. We ultimately agreed to sign the standard liability waiver signed at the door with all our guests and we were fine with that. If this had not occurred they would have 5+ stars. Obvious these are extraordinary circumstances with COVID and it complicated a wedding more than usual. I would definitely recommend them in the future. We were very happy with the wedding outcome, the quality of the facility and our wedding coordinator. My daughter and her husband had the wedding of their dreams!

We ultimately agreed to sign the standard liability waiver signed at the door with all our guests and we were fine with that. If this had not occurred they would have 5+ stars. Obvious these are extraordinary circumstances with COVID and it complicated a wedding more than usual. I would definitely recommend them in the future. We were very happy with the wedding outcome, the quality of the facility and our wedding coordinator. My daughter and her husband had the wedding of their dreams!

Most people say that wedding planning is stressful, I'm here to say that with the help of Maddie and the Mavris, I never got stressed throughout the entire process and I was able to enjoy the weekend from beginning to end. The venue is easily the first decision, the most expensive, and the most impact decision you make for your wedding or event. After narrowing it down to two venues we picked the Mavris. I was not 100% sure on it because they were the more expensive option. However, after having our wedding there I can say without a doubt that it was absolutely the right choice. Maddie, our day of coordinator and planner, guided us through everything, every detail we didn't even think of. With a steady hand she made sure the day of went off without a hitch. We walked in the day before expecting to have to do a lot of work to prep the space, Maddie cast all that aside, asked us what we wanted and handled it on her own with her team. She insisted we did not lift a finger except to relax at the hotel with a drink in hand. After the wedding they took the time to breakdown all of our decorations and prepare them for us to pick up the next day. I cannot tell you how huge this was! On top of that, I have a very restricted diet, gluten free and dairy free, and the chef was amazingly accommodating. There was nothing we asked for that they came close to saying no to. I cannot reccomend them enough. Thanks Maddie and the Mavris for making the event perfect!

People were willing to work with me on my specific vision for the ceremony and reception and were flexible and accommodating when we had to change due to rain, unexpected issues, etc. I thought that things could have run more smoothly and was frustrated that things that were planned, typed out, and clearly communicated were not carried through. My guest book was put out at the wrong time even though it was instructed to be with the photo booth only, messing up a few of the pages. Four tables were supposed to be reserved for my family but were taken by miscellaneous guests and the planner did not want to tell them to move even though she should have. Overall, the ceremony and reception were beautiful and the food was great. Any small details that went wrong were overshadowed by the big things that went well.

Where do I even begin with how magical working with the team at the Mavris was? I was initially planning a wedding from DC and wasn't even able to see their venue in person. My sister and mother in law toured it for me and Facetimed me while they were there. Even through a phone video, the romantic brick and wood décor was breathtaking and the planning/event team women were so friendly that I immediately knew I was in good hands. I was instantly sold with knowing the Mavris could help me take the guesswork out of venue planning, catering, and day of coordination. They are multiple \"super vendors\" rolled into one - which I loved!! Halfway through wedding planning, our wedding planner took a new job elsewhere. I was a little scared at first, but the Mavris immediately assigned a new coordinator. So, I wanted to extend A HUUUGGEEE thank you to Olivia, who stepped in as our final wedding coordinator. She was always efficient in answering emails, taking facetimes with my fiance and I, helping with any last minute changes, and led the charge on wedding day to make sure every little detail was taken care of! I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect and seamless experience. I tried to think of one thing that went wrong on my wedding day and couldn't even think of one, that's how you know the investment was worth it. I'm still hearing from guests on how beautiful the venue was, how delicious the food was, and how much fun they had! Also, guests loved being able to mingle in different areas of the Mavris - they could go out in the garden or up on the rooftop balcony that overlooks downtown Indy to take a break from dancing. Overall, my entire wedding preparation with the Mavris was a magical experience. I would not hesitate to whole-heartedly recommend this venue to any couple looking to make their big day a perfect memory.

Not only is the venue absolutely stunning in and of itself, the staff made planning fun and easy and they took care of so many things for us. You have the entire three-story building starting at 10am on your wedding day and the bridal suite and mancave (where groom/groomsmen get ready) are amazing. They are spacious and beautiful and you can order pre-ceremony food and drinks to be delivered to the suites by Mavris staff throughout the day. Aly and her staff are all EXPERTS in the wedding business. She is fantastic at her job. She is fun, caring, pays great attention to detail, so quick to respond to any emails, and above all knows how to get people to where they need to be with a smile on her face. We had a slight hiccup with some furniture pieces not being delivered the day of and Aly was immediately on the phone and with her magic was able to get everything in place before I arrived. I did not even know there was a problem. We were slightly behind schedule, but Aly and the rest of the Mavris team put me at ease and everything went perfectly. The Mavris was amazing. They made wedding planning so easy and stress free. I had Ana as my coordinator, she was so helpful and was on top of things the day of and at the tasting. They have everything ready for you to choose and include so many things with the booking fee. The thing we loved about the space was not only the look but the fact that we got to choose inside or out, linens, chairs, their own catering, and some decorations are all included which made life easier when trying to plan. I loved everything about this place and am so sad my wedding is over because I already miss going here and seeing the space!

We had our ceremony and reception at the Mavris and our day was perfect! The venue handles everything from the chairs and linens to the full menu and bar - everything looked beautiful and tasted great. Although their minimum cost is higher than some other venues, they include everything involved-not just food/drink-so in the end we felt that we got incredible value for the money. We also saved on decor because the venue includes so much and is so beautiful on its own! In the end all we really needed were flowers and table numbers-which was also a huge weight off of us.On the personnel side, the staff is nothing short of amazing, and made sure every detail was taken care of for us. All we had to do on the day of was show up! They assign a coordinator to help you through the process, and our coordinator (Maddie) was a dream to work with. She was right there to help us plan the entire day - on top of every little detail and entirely invested in making it a success. She even got our gifts loaded into the car while we were taking our photos! Overall I would absolutely recommend the Mavris.

The staff are amazing , the food is amazing, the venue could be bare bones and still look amazing, so however you decorate it, your guests will love it.

The Mavris was a dream! Not only is the venue beautiful, but the staff is amazing. Through the entire planning process, our coordinator made us feel like her top priority. With all the changes that were made from the beginning to the end, there was no hesitation on her end to make them happen. The wedding day was flawless. Every detail was perfect. Our coordinator was on top of everything, I didn’t have to worry about anything. The event space is incredible. Having access to a garden terrace, a rooftop overlooking the city, and 3 floors of open space, you really do get to have the wedding of your dreams!

I don’t even know where to begin with describing how phenomenal our wedding at the Mavris was! From start to finish, everything was excellent. Aly Parrish was so great when I first inquired about the Mavris for our wedding. She quickly answered all of my questions, was so professional and very friendly. Once we took our initial tour of the venue, I knew the Mavris would be the most perfect spot for our wedding. The whole building has so much character and the grounds are beautiful. I heard from so many of my guests how much they liked the building. Thankfully we had amazing weather and our guests loved the outdoor space for cocktail hour and also during the reception. Everything at the Mavris was very well-kept and every person I interacted with at the Mavris was very professional and polite. I had the pleasure of working with Ana Campins for my wedding and she was FABULOUS. I honestly can’t say enough good things about her. Ana made the entire planning process go so smoothly and she was organized, helpful, patient, friendly and very detail-oriented. I don’t know what I would have done without her! She was also just a lot of fun to be around and was very good at keeping me on task while also making me feel so comfortable. She did such a fantastic job and I know she did so many things “behind the scenes” that I never knew about that helped make our wedding day perfect. I can’t say enough great things about Ana and I’ve decided she now needs to be my friend so that I can hang out with her again! The food was delicious and I got so many compliments from our guests about it. The servers, bartenders and all of the staff at the Mavris were so fantastic and helpful on our wedding day. I really appreciated how smoothly everything went and it’s obvious the entire Mavris team takes pride in making the guest experience a positive one. I would highly recommend the Mavris to anyone searching for a fantastic wedding venue without any hesitation.

So if we could give 20 stars, we would! Mavris was the perfect venue for our ceremony and reception. We sealed the deal with Elise and Ana was our event design. Both were beyond wonderful! Ana is my spirit animal. She was everywhere we needed, her when we needed, with what we needed. The whole staff is so amazing. The venue itself is GORGEOUS. We did everything there and it was perfect. Plenty of room to get ready for the girls. The guys played games in the man cave all morning. So close to downtown for pictures and for any after party festivities. You barely need any decorations because the space is so beautiful and completely FULL SERVICE. Our day was perfect and we have not stopped reliving it since!! Seriously 20 stars!

Having our wedding at the Mavris Center was one of the best decisions we made with planning our wedding. It is a beautiful venue with plenty of indoor and outdoor picture locations. The bridal suite was perfect for my bridesmaids and myself and we loved everything about the venue in general. The staff is impressively professional and made the planning process way less stressful- our coordinator Elise was friendly and timely with all of her work on our wedding and we really enjoyed working with her. Our guests are still complimenting us on how great our wedding was!

We worked with Aly at the Mavris, and she helped with the entire pre-planning process and day of event coordination. Everything went so smooth and on time thanks to everyone at the Mavris. Everyone was so friendly throughout the entire wedding planning process. Aly was quick to return phone calls and e-mails ( its actually weird to not be sending weekly e-mails and questions to her anymore.. I miss it!!) The entire team at the Mavris really worked together to make our winter wedding dreams become a reality. It truly was the most perfect day. The venue is gorgeous inside and outside. I can't stop bragging about the Mavris. I was a guest a few years back and I knew then I wanted to have my wedding and share my special day with my husband, family and friends at their venue. The elegance and simplicity in the overall venue gives you a feel of comfort and genuine unique quality. The hard wood floors, exposed brick, and wood beams are all the decorating you need. The coordinators are all so wonderful and gracious. They listen and know exactly how to bring your ideas to their space and make them a reality. The food. Oh gosh. The Food! That's all I can say, just delicious and how wonderful they are to accommodate dietary needs. Our friends and family with restrictions were so thankful for that! The spaces for the bridal party are great for getting ready...although, we vote for the Foosball table to be moved to the bridal suite :-). Even if you are not getting married and want to have a party, cooperate event, etc, please call the Mavris. They will ease all your worries and make you feel like family.

This venue is amazing. We got 3 floors plus the garden area and the rooftop patio to work with on our wedding day. The interior is elegant and flows very well from one space to the next. All the wood columns and floors are gorgeous, especially with customizable uplighting. We were able to create exactly the feel we were looking for in our wedding. Not only is it absolutely stunning, the staff is incredible. Our day-of coordinator, Ana, was so attentive and organized. We didn't have to worry about a single detail. Everything was taken care of from where I wanted which decorations, to where the favors should be placed, down to getting the gifts into the car during the reception so that we wouldn't have to worry about it at the end of the night. She went over everything with me the morning of the wedding, and took care of all the little details exactly the way I had envisioned. Everyone talks about how stressed they were on their wedding day, and I am so glad I can say that I am not in that boat! Everything went smoothly, and was absolutely beautiful.Also, the food was amazing. When we had our tasting and chose the entree for the night, my husband and I both thought \"well sure, it's delicious when they're cooking for just a couple of people, but what will it be like when there are over a hundred?\" And let me just tell you, it was just as incredibly delicious the second time. I have had so many compliments on the food! I am so thrilled that I was able to have my wedding here, it was absolutely perfect.

When we had our tasting and chose the entree for the night, my husband and I both thought \"well sure, it's delicious when they're cooking for just a couple of people, but what will it be like when there are over a hundred?\" And let me just tell you, it was just as incredibly delicious the second time. I have had so many compliments on the food! I am so thrilled that I was able to have my wedding here, it was absolutely perfect.

The day of went off without a hitch because of their expertise and confidence. Everything looked beautiful, the food was so much better than any other wedding food I've ever had, the attention to every little detail was noticed. We can't recommend this place more. Everyone at Mavris was amazing! They are so organized throughout the entire process and the venue is breathtaking on its own. We worked with Ellie and Aly for our wedding and loved them both. Aly was so good at coordinating the day of so that all we had to focus on was getting married. My officiant mentioned that she was one of the best coordinators he had seen. This venue made for an absolutely perfect wedding! Our guests continue to talk about the wedding and how beautiful the event was. I would highly recomment this to anyone.

We live in LA but were getting married in Indy and needed to book our venue before we could see it in person. I knew a couple people who had gotten married at the Mavris and they had nothing but positive feedback. We spoke to Elise, our coordinator, who was really responsive and helpful (we had a lot of questions!) and we knew right away that we wanted to have our reception at the Mavris. We didn't see the venue until our tasting/6 months before our wedding (which the Mavris was able to accommodate much more in advance of our wedding date than usual due to our travel schedules). When we walked in, I was so stunned. It is such a special space and is so beautiful that I felt really proud to have our wedding reception there. We loved that we got the entire space (except the speak easy in the basement) to ourselves for the entire day. We loved the option for outdoor space (we used the rooftop and 3rd floor for our cocktail hour) and actually spent the majority of our reception out in the garden playing cornhole and enjoying the beautiful sunset and view of downtown. We also were so pleased with the food! My family is really into food, and my husband is a vegetarian and we decided to serve the eggplant parm and the feta-stuffed chicken breast. We both LOVED our meals, and received lots of feedback from our guests that the food was the best wedding meal they've ever had. We also highly recommend the bacon knots as an hors d'oeuvre - they were a hit! Elise, our coordinator, was in constant contact with us leading up to the big day and throughout the reception. She gave us lots of design ideas and handled last-minute changes with ease. She made sure we got to eat apps, and late-night pizza and that we always had a drink in hand. Everything went so smooth. It was absolutely the best day ever! Thank you to everyone at the Mavris - it was such a perfect day!

We were so excited to have our wedding at Mavris and the day did not disappoint. The whole team made sure our day went smoothly - from making sure we got the kids rounded up to the babysitting room, making sure we stayed on schedule, keeping a drink in my hand at all times after the ceremony and making sure my mom's food stayed hot while she greeted guests. The bartenders and servers were professional but really seemed to enjoy being part of the party as much as we did. Every other vendor we had said mavris was top notch and they were spot on. We are still getting compliments about how beautiful and amazing our wedding was and how much everyone loved the venue.

First of all, the venue is gorgeous and there is so much space you can utilize from the beautiful bridal suite to the rooftop terrace...it is all so perfect. She was so professional, but also fun. she was very attentive and from the minute we started planning until she left the night of our wedding, we never once had to worry about anything. They worked seamlessly with our other vendors. The space is beautiful, the staff is very professional and attentive, the bar service was outstanding, and the food was delicious! Our guests are still going on and on about how wonderful the night was and I know that Elise and Mavris made that happen.

We used the Mavris for both our ceremony and reception. It was absolutely what we were looking for with regard to look and ambiance! We were initially a little hesitant because of the price - it was a little on the higher side for us. However, in the end, there was nowhere else that came close, and we were SO GLAD we went with them! The communication with the venue from the start was easy. Shortly after signing, you are assigned a wedding coordinator - Ellie was ours and I cannot say enough good things about her!! She walked through every step of the day over multiple meetings and was easily available via email any time I had a question or concern. On the day of the wedding she and her staff set up ALL our decorations, and everything looked exactly how I wanted (better in some instances)! They let you drop off the decorations and everything prior to the wedding day and pick up everything after the wedding day - definitely nice to not have to worry about that stuff on the actual big day. We had a late Oct wedding and wanted to try for an outside ceremony - luckily the weather cooperated, but they allow you to decide to move the wedding inside up to 4 hrs prior to the ceremony without any extra charge or fuss. We did a first look and were still taking pictures upstairs as guests started arriving. Ellie met all the guests on the first floor and made sure that no one came up until we were hidden away. The ceremony went on time and seamlessly. Again, everything was perfectly placed and laid out during the cocktail hour and reception. The food, which you'll totally enjoy at your earlier tasting meeting, was delicious (especially the mashed potatoes). We brought in cupcakes from Flying Cupcake - you can use any vendor for that, but you can't bring in any food or alcohol yourself (the case you'll find with most big venues). As everyone started piling onto the dance floor, Ellie made sure to check with us before leaving. This venue will absolutely work with you to ensure your day is just as you want it. I assume there were some little things that didn't go as planned, but I never heard or noticed anything! Again, shout out to our amazing coordinator Ellie!!

I could not have picked a better venue. My husband and I loved not only the actual venue itself, but the staff was so accessible and helpful throughout the entire process. I felt that at any moment throughout the wedding day there were people in the venue to help with things that needed to get done. I have received an overwhelming amount of compliments about how beautiful our wedding was and the best thing about it, is that I didn't have to decorate it that much! The building can completely stand alone in it's own beauty. The bridal suite is what really sealed the deal for me. Being in that room for so long on your wedding day can be stressful and feel claustrophobic, but the bridal suit is so beautiful and relaxing. Also, you cannot beat this location. We were easily able to get around downtown and take pictures, people were able to be close to their hotels, and most importantly we were able to go out to the bars afterwards!

Our wedding at Mavris could not have been anymore perfect. Ellie was our coordinator and we loved working with her. The staff at Mavris did anything they could to make our day perfect and bring to reality any request that we had. The planning process with Mavris was easy and followed the timeline we were given upon signing the contract with them. Our families were impressed by the small details Mavris paid attention to. For example they brought food for the kids out first before serving the other guest. Another example was the attentiveness of the chef who paid attention to food allergies of our guests. He even made a trip out to one table to speak with a guest who has lots of allergies and explained all ingredients in each dish to make sure that the guest was comfortable eating the food. The bridal party had a great time in the bridal suite getting ready in the morning and hanging out while we all got our hair and makeup done on site. Ellie made several trips to come and check on us and see if there was anything we needed. They even took our leftover food down to the man cave so it didn't go to waste. The people at Mavris made me feel like a princess on my wedding day and went above and beyond. You can tell they have hosted many events before and could execute without any hiccups down to the details we had planned during our planning meeting. The owner even showed up to see how our reception was going, on a Saturday! We could not be happier that we chose to have our wedding at Mavris and it could not have been more perfect. I know we won't look back on our wedding day with anything except great memories.

He even made a trip out to one table to speak with a guest who has lots of allergies and explained all ingredients in each dish to make sure that the guest was comfortable eating the food. The bridal party had a great time in the bridal suite getting ready in the morning and hanging out while we all got our hair and makeup done on site. Ellie made several trips to come and check on us and see if there was anything we needed. They even took our leftover food down to the man cave so it didn't go to waste. The people at Mavris made me feel like a princess on my wedding day and went above and beyond. You can tell they have hosted many events before and could execute without any hiccups down to the details we had planned during our planning meeting. The owner even showed up to see how our reception was going, on a Saturday! We could not be happier that we chose to have our wedding at Mavris and it could not have been more perfect. I know we won't look back on our wedding day with anything except great memories.

I do not even know where to begin besides saying what a Magical night!! I would highly recommend the Mavris to and friends or family. They were amazing from the get-go! Starting with the first tour, to planning, and then providing a smooth, stress free wedding. Being the bride, I had visions I would be asked what about this or who should go where but they took care of it all. They said you are the Bride and we are here for you!!! Love the staff (Ellie and John especially,) the amazing chef, bartenders and servers. Wouldn't have been the wedding I dreamed of if it weren't for the Mavris...thank you so much!

We loved the Mavris! It's such a beautiful space and the staff is so amazing and helpful! Everything went seamlessly from our view on our wedding day. It's definitely pricey but it was worth every penny

We got married at the Mavris this August (8.21.15) and it was a complete DREAM! Everything was handled so professional and the attention to detail was out of this world. I am so glad we chose the Mavris as our Wedding Venue- I would have been upset if we didn't!\r\rMeaghan was such a great wedding coordinator. She was so friendly but also got stuff done- which was very much appreciated. I can't thank her enough for all her handwork. \r\rWe were out of town planning this wedding and they completely accommodated everything we had to work around. We would suggest this venue to anyone looking in the Indy area! Thanks again!!

Our experience at Mavris was great. In the beginning, we had a lot of questions to ensure that we were making the best choice. Getting married is an expensive thing to do so you want to make sure you are making the perfect choice. The Mavris staff did whatever they could to answer any question we had. Ellie Lowe was our coordinator and she was phenomenal. The staff is on point with their timeliness and effort going into the actual day. My husband and I were amazed at how well the staff did. Very professional and we would recommend this to anyone.

Had discussions with sales representative from Mavris and it just seems that they are trying to nickel and dime me. I had previously received a quote and the now the quote has come back almost $7k, more which is ridiculous since my previous quote was reasonable. In addition, per their contract, they state that food cost can increase up to 10% but when we inquired how they got the 10%, they couldn't come up a reason or didn't have one, just saying that it could. I think the venue is lovely but it just seems that all they care about is trying to charge me and my fiance a ridiculous amount for the venue, then I would rather take my business elsewhere.
