We recently had our wedding at the Mayfair Hotel and it was incredible. The hotel is fully renovated and it feels like a tropical oasis. Our guests were raving about how amazing the food was. That is not usually the case at most wedding venues. Alejandra Gallo is the head of catering so we have her to thank for that. We truly had the best experience!

I could not have had a more perfect wedding. Every single guest of mine from all over mentioned how in awe they were. Everyone was friendly and helpful, with a HUGE shoutout to Alejandra who helped plan it all while completing the grand opening. I could not have had the experience I did without her. Due to the layout and feel of the hotel I had to add very little as the environment was awe inspiring enough.

The Mayfair and Matilde Campos were avoidant, unprofessional, and beyond careless when it came time to try and plan our wedding. I am thankful that our experience was so horrible trying to book a wedding that we finally chose somewhere else to go. I have heard horror stories since about cancelled weddings with no warning! The Mayfair is beautiful and they were about to begin a renovation, but there’s no excuse for the terrible customer service and lack of communication to future couples. Matilde was very disappointing and avoided us and our calls at all costs throughout the entire process. Go elsewhere to feel taken care on your special day. It’s too expensive to be treated like an inconvenience.

We are devastated from the sudden cancellation of our wedding at The Mayfair Hotel and Spa in Coconut Grove, FL. Our wedding was all planned since March of this year, scheduled for January 15, 2022. From day one, the event coordinator, Matilde Campo, had mentioned renovations that would happen over the summer (July) but she assured us everything would be complete by the time our wedding happened in January. We specifically asked her to include some sort of assurances in writing within the contract about these renovations. Unfortunately that request was denied. We loved their space so much and our entire relationship is centered around Coconut Grove, so we went ahead to ‘saying yes to the place’ and making our deposit. We then secured all our vendors and sent Save the Dates to all our guests! Fast forward to a couple weeks ago. We received a warning from my aunt about a posting she saw on Facebook. Another couple who had their wedding set for November at The Mayfair unexpectedly received their deposit back in the mail WITHOUT WARNING. The reason: renovations that would interfere with their wedding. End result: THEIR WEDDING CANCELLED. Immediately, my fiancé and I became nervous about our wedding, so we called Matilde Campo to find out what the status of our wedding was. After multiple attempts to reach her via phone and e-mails without a response, we decided to go in-person and demand a response. Even then we were met with resistance from personnel at the front desk. It was a challenge just to speak with Matilde or any other supervisor. Finally we were able to speak with Mr. Greg Angelo. We explained our concern to which he responded kindly, and he put us in contact with the general manager. A couple days later, we received the devastating phone call. Renovations were now set to finish in March of 2022. Our fears were then confirmed, OUR WEDDING WAS ALSO CANCELLED. The most infuriating detail is that we only knew to reach out thanks to a tip from my aunt (who works in the industry). The hotel DID NOT HAVE THE DECENCY to alert us about the situation, and we doubt they ever would have. When we tried to get in contact, we were COMPLETELY IGNORED. My fiancé and I are now left scrambling 6 months before our wedding date to find a NEW VENUE that is available that same day. Not only are all the vendors booked for January 15, but also our family has already booked plane tickets/hotel rooms for that date. The Mayfair Hotel and Spa has demonstrated some of THE WORST HOSPITALITY in Miami. They were not courteous and they did not care about our plans or anyone else’s who also booked events with them. They don’t deserve our business, ever. STAY AWAY FROM THE MAYFAIR HOTEL AND SPA.

The Mayfair was an amazing choice for our wedding reception! The food was exquisite, everyone loved the Filet Mignon and the Salmon that was served, and of course all my guests were huge fans of the open bar. I must say that Matilde Campo, our wedding coordinator provided by the hotel, did such a magnificent job; she’s probably the most caring and helpful person that I met through this wedding journey. Having Matilde on my wedding day took such a huge weight off my shoulders, I was able to relax during my special day thanks to her!

We just had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Mayfair in May and it was absolutely perfect. From the moment i saw the venue and met Matilde campo I knew this was the place. There were so many beautiful settings to chose from within the hotel. We had our ceremony in the palm terrace and then cocktail hour on the rooftop with great views of the bay. All the trees within the hotel atrium give you the feeling that you are in a tropical garden. It’s the best of both worlds; indoor meets outdoors. Matilde, the wedding coordinator is amazing to work with. She is on top of everything and very attentive in answering all my emails. She always made me feel supported especially as I was planning this from Michigan. In summary, the venue was beautiful, staff was great, and food was delicious. My vision for my wedding definitely came to life and it was better than I could have imagined. I also liked that the wedding packages included food, bar, wedding cake, linens and chairs. This made planning easier!

I had my wedding on 2/26/2021 and wow wow wow. I cannot say enough great things about this venue space. First of all, the pricing here is amazingggg cheapest I was able to find for a venue space without sacrificing quality. I stayed UNDER my budget! Matilde was also super accommodating and worked with us a lot. I held both my ceremony and reception there and it was just such a beautiful wedding. The ceremony was held in the palm terrace and it had an outdoor feel, but it was covered. This helped my guests feel safe with the COVID concerns and didn't pose a threat with Miami's unstable weather. Our cocktail hour was on the roof which provided added comfort for our guests and a breathtaking view! We had our reception in the Havana Room which was awesome for the intimate and romantic feel we were looking for (we had 50 or less guests at our wedding). The food was delicioussss and everyone had a great time. I am so grateful I found this place I can't stress it enough. This is such a great option if you're looking for something beautiful yet budget friendly.

That being said, it was in the midst of a global pandemic.Mayfair's on-site event manager / wedding coordinator Matilde Campo was extremely attentive from start to finish, all while conquering every challenge that we faced due to the pandemic. With Matilde, you don't need to hire a wedding planner or day-of coordinator since she both plans and executes your wedding. Her help was so so appreciated.The packages at The Mayfair are very affordable! We still can't believe how much was provided and included for the amount we paid for: linens, chargers, tables, chairs, cake, and more.The quality of food and beverage was also impeccable. From our Mexican station at our rehearsal to dinner service at our wedding night. The Mayfair DOES NOT serve up your traditional bland reception food. Everything is restaurant quality (maybe even better).It was lovely having everything in one place during our wedding weekend: family and guests staying at the hotel and hosting our rehearsal dinner all under the same roof. It allowed us to enjoy our closest family and friends all weekend long.I'll forever recommend this hotel and venue to other individuals looking for a little slice of paradise for their wedding!

We are very happy we chose The Mayfair as our venue, The food was incredible, service and attention by our Captain and by Matilde our Sales and Events coordinator, was extraodinary. They were able to keep the event going and keeping me happy as we had a family emergency occurr during the wedding. For that I am forever grateful. Would highly recommend (venue space is gorgeous! !!!

The food, the staff and the ambiance were perfect. Highly recommend this venue for a wedding. Especially given the numerous outdoor options while COVID is still a concern. Originally, our wedding was booked on a cruise but we had to reschedule and could not be happier with the result. Matilde Campo and Kristina will help you put the wedding of your dreams. My wife and I would call Matilde at all hours of the day and she quickly responded with a genuine smile on her face. We never felt like we were imposing despite the fact that we were. This beautiful hotel has a stunning atrium which was perfect for our rehearsal dinner and first look. Our reception was on the gorgeous rooftop, with a picturesque view of Biscayne Bay, that made our guests very comfortable. The hotel has a ton of character and is maintained well. Greg and Robert, at the front desk, were very accommodating, assisted with all of our needs and went above and beyond.

Matilde will go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure your day is memorable. She even looked out for weather reports and made adjustments to make sure we stayed dry. I don't know where to begin, but this place is simply Magical. The staff was so professional and kind. The energy all over this place is simply beautiful. Our wedding wouldn't have turned out the way it did without Matilde's guidance and help through it out and during the event. I felt my dream Spanish Boho sophisticated wedding became a reality and we are still on cloud 9. If you are planning your wedding this place we recommend with our eyes closed, and food wise wow simply wow. It was delicious, our guests can't stop talking about how good the appetizers and how amazing the entrees were. We are so grateful to the entire Mayfair staff.

Our wedding at The Mayfair on March 7, 2020 was a dream. The architecture of The Mayfair gives you a feeling of enchantment and romance the moment you walk in. Our Mayfair coordinator, Kristina Yepez, was everything you would expect: thorough, responsive, caring and flexible. She was even our day-of coordinator, so we didn't need to hire a separate person. The Crystal Ballroom looked gorgeous, including the favors we provided which Kristina laid out for us. The food was restaurant quality. We are thankful to Kristina and the staff for such a wonderful experience.

Our Mayfair coordinator, Kristina Yepez, was everything you would expect: thorough, responsive, caring and flexible. She was even our day-of coordinator, so we didn't need to hire a separate person. The Crystal Ballroom looked gorgeous, including the favors we provided which Kristina laid out for us. The food was restaurant quality. We are thankful to Kristina and the staff for such a wonderful experience.

Our guests have all said it was one of the best weddings and loved the venue and food. The best part about the Mayfair is the coordinator they provided us, Kristina! Our wedding was originally planned the weekend of hurricane dorian and she took so much stress off of us by immediately reserving us another weekend and informing most of our vendors of the change of date. The staff on the original date of our wedding in September were also so accommodating by allowing us to still get married that day with a mini ceremony and moving/canceling everyone’s reservation with no hassle. Through the planning process, Kristina answered all phone calls and emails from not only us but both mother in laws, extended family members, etc working to honor their requests as well. She truly helped us have a perfect wedding day, rehearsal dinner, and even worked with one of my bridesmaids on a surprise brunch the day before. The price, with accommodations, linens, catering, bar, and cake included in your package makes planning sooo easy and affordable. Can not recommend this venue enough!!!

I am from out of town and had an amazing experience with Matilde and the rest of the hotel staff. Matilde did an AMAZING job taking care of all of our questions and needs. I was extremely pleased on the day of the wedding with how she took care of every single detail. She is extremely organized and a very pleasant person to deal with. Not only was the service my guest and I received amazing but the food was delicious. Most of our guests flew from out of town and everyone had an amazing time and loved the location of the hotel because there is so much to do in Coconut Grove. My review is kind of long but to sum it up I give this place two thumbs up and an A plus. Having our wedding at the Mayfair Hotel and Spa was the first decision we made about our special day (before picking a date, color scheme, my dress or anything else). I have to say it was among the best decisions and definitely got us started on a great note. Below are just a few highlights and points I want to make: I believe there is more than one sales manager assigned to a given event but we were fortunate to have Matilde. She was pleasant and professional the ENTIRE time, from the moment we went for a tour to the day of the wedding. When we went for a tour she provided all sorts of information but was not pushy at all (which I appreciated). She maintained good communication throughout the process, also she was kind enough to make a small accommodation for my mom (mother of the bride) which I know helped make the night even better for my mom. The day of the wedding Matilde was in touch from the morning and as soon as she arrived to the hotel went by to check on me and my team, from there she was very present and beyond helpful!! The location is just lovely. We didn’t have our ceremony at the hotel because we wanted to have it at a church but if that were not the case we would have been happy to have it at the Mayfair. The hotel has an overall classy and distinct style and feel to it. The color scheme is warm and we love it. All over the hotel has very small and charming details. We used the palm terrace for the cocktail hour and the havana room for the reception. The havana room is dark lit, with dark wood, it was great for our small group of 44 but seems like it could easily fit more. We saw the ballroom and it was very nice too, it was just too big of a space for our small group. The waitstaff and bartender were fabulous. A couple of the guests commented on how helpful they were, much appreciated. The food was delicious! A concern when planning my wedding was the food, with this hotel however it was not an issue. Prior to the wedding, during the food tasting, I felt pleased with the food options offered. Although everyone has a different preference regarding food (a small concern I had regarding my guests enjoying the food) it was a success! I had several guests mention how much they truly liked the food (one person even ate her salad and her guests’ salad even though she usually doesn’t eat salad; even the salad they offered was unique and tasty!!) After considering several different types of venues this is the one that we felt was right, thankfully everything worked out from there!

My husband and I had our wedding at the Mayfair last month, and now that the craziness of the wedding planning as come to an end, I decided to sit down and tell the world what an amazing experience we had with the Mayfair. I seriously felt so defeated because we visited so many different venues in Miami trying to find the one we truly wanted. The moment I stepped into the Mayfair I was blown away. I remember thinking that I couldn't believe it had taken me so long to find this place. The venue itself is gorgeous, it offers completely separate rooms for ceremony, cocktail and reception. Let me start off by saying that from the moment that I contacted The Mayfair, Kristina Yepes, which was my contact, was soon helpful and responsive. She was truly a blessing because everyone knows that planning a wedding isn't easy, but when you have someone like Kristina who truly answers all questions and is so helping and responsive ALL THE TIIME, it truly makes your experience that much better. I can say that she truly made my wedding preparation effortless with all of her help and assistant, and for that I am truly grateful.The day of the wedding was completely AMAZING! I can't say it enough; everything was just perfect. The execution of everything was beyond amazing and perfection. The area where out ceremony took place was beyond beautiful, and after it was decorated with all of our florals, it was even more than I expected. The Mayfair was extremely accommodating in allowing us to take pictures at the rooftop, which happens to be where we took my personal favorite photo of the night.Kristina and the Mayfair are definitely beyond amazing and will make certain that your day is everything you want it to be if it is in their hands to do so. Oh, and the tasting is the best; food was phenomenal! I truly recommend the Mayfair! Great experience!

I seriously felt so defeated because we visited so many different venues in Miami trying to find the one we truly wanted. The moment I stepped into the Mayfair I was blown away. I remember thinking that I couldn't believe it had taken me so long to find this place. The venue itself is gorgeous, it offers completely separate rooms for ceremony, cocktail and reception. Let me start off by saying that from the moment that I contacted The Mayfair, Kristina Yepes, which was my contact, was soon helpful and responsive. She was truly a blessing because everyone knows that planning a wedding isn't easy, but when you have someone like Kristina who truly answers all questions and is so helping and responsive ALL THE TIIME, it truly makes your experience that much better. I can say that she truly made my wedding preparation effortless with all of her help and assistant, and for that I am truly grateful.The day of the wedding was completely AMAZING! I can't say it enough; everything was just perfect. The execution of everything was beyond amazing and perfection. The area where out ceremony took place was beyond beautiful, and after it was decorated with all of our florals, it was even more than I expected. The Mayfair was extremely accommodating in allowing us to take pictures at the rooftop, which happens to be where we took my personal favorite photo of the night.Kristina and the Mayfair are definitely beyond amazing and will make certain that your day is everything you want it to be if it is in their hands to do so. Oh, and the tasting is the best; food was phenomenal! I truly recommend the Mayfair! Great experience!

Matilda was one of the reasons our wedding was so successful and she was there every step of the way making sure everything went smoothly. Everyone was super accommodating and you could tell she has so much experience when it comes to weddings and event. The food was delicious, and the drinks were well made. Everyone went above and beyond t o make sure our special day go perfect, including Hugo, another event manager who was there during the wedding checking in on us. We even chose to have our rehearsal dinner in the rooftop pool area with a beautiful Miami sunset behind us, and great food. If I had to do the wedding again I wouldn’t change a thing. The only sad part was we had to cancel our original wedding date and reduce our head count so we lost our free 1 night stay. But that wasn't their fault. The Mayfair is such a beautiful and unique venue. After walking through the hotel, I immediately knew it was the right place for my wedding. I wanted a venue that I did not need to add a lot - being that I booked it with just two months till the wedding. One of the great perks of the wedding package here is it comes with a day of coordinator. Kristina was amazing. She always promptly responded to my questions/emails and made sure everything was ready for the big day. The day of my wedding could not of ran smoother. It is not a high traffic hotel which is nice for privacy throughout the wedding. The food is great! The venue comes with almost everything you need on your wedding day. I only had to book a DJ, Photographer, make up/hair and Florist outside of the wedding package. I used the hotels recommended vendors which were great! My other favorite thing about the venue was the honeymoon suite we stayed at the night of our wedding. It was very convenient to just leave the party and go up to our suite. I can easily say my wedding day was perfect. I would highly recommend this gorgeous hotel to anyone looking for a venue in this area.

Such a great experience overall!We had our wedding at the Mayfair in March 2018 and I am so happy with how everything turned out. The venue is beautiful, the food was exceptional, and the staff was responsive and professional. The coordinator for the venue, Matilde Campo, was the most patient, flexible, and amazing coordinator i've ever worked with. I did not have a wedding planner or day-of coordinator, and Matilde put my worries at ease because she took care of any and all details that needed to be done at the venue. She was very open to working with vendors and made an extra effort to ensure everything went perfect.The food at the venue was delicious. We had the steak option and a few vegetarian plates for a couple guests. Every single person I spoke with said it was the best they've ever had at a wedding. The plates were also very generous portions, so everyone was happy!The hotel was accommodating with any requests I made, and calls to the front desk for last minute things that we of course forgot. In addition to the wedding reception, we had our rehearsal dinner at the rooftop bar the Thursday night before. Again, the staff was on top of it and super accommodating to our needs. The food was delicious and the overall vibe was exactly what we wanted. They roped off an exclusive area by the fire place, set up high-top tables, and had staff around to make sure no one crashed our party.. :) Overall great experience and would definitely book future events with this venue.

After traveling to Miami several times to look at numerous venues, the Mayfair made an impact since the first encounter. One day after viewing at least 8 venues we stopped by the Mayfair at an unscheduled time (as I had to cancel my original appt due to a death in the family), from the first moment we approached the front desk and asked to see the venue and explained the situation, the front desk offered my Wedding planner and I a glass of Champagne and offered us a seat while we wait to be assisted. No other venue had even offered us water.. True Hospitality! From that moment, it left such an impression on me, especially after seeing the beautiful space, the original charming details the property has and the Tropical Elegant feel of the facilities, I knew it was our Wedding Venue. Every interaction was a pleasant one. The Tasting went fantastic and the Chef was great!The Wedding - Matilde worked with us with every step of the way. She is patient, kind and supportive. Everyone LOVED the hotel, the Ceremony area and the FOOD! most weddings people expect the food to not be the best, but I had guests sharing with me the next day how good it was. I started to plan my wedding about two years prior to the big day and the wedding was supposed to take place at jungle island but due to hurricane Irma, the venue had cancelled about two weeks before the big day. I was devastated and it was very stressful. That same day I started to look around online and found the mayfair and called and immediately Kristina let me come in to see the venue and I loved it. I was put at ease with Kristina working with me on such short notice. We got more bang for our buck going with the mayfair because we had an upgraded linen package and the open bar had better quality liquor. Fast forward to our day, the Mayfair had given us a room and my bridesmaids and myself got ready there. The guests that arrived early had an area that they were able to wait comfortably. The ceremony was held in the courtyard and the set up was beautiful. The cocktail hour was great from what I was being told from our guest and the horderves were delicious. The wedding came out beautiful, better than I had expected. Our guest and bridal party were complimenting the venue and food and still are over one week later. We had the lemon chicken, which was very moist and tasty and the mahi mahi, which was delicious with a BLT salad. They also accommodated our vegan and our gluten free guests. I would definitely recommend this place. I am so grateful that we were accommodated so last second and how beautiful it had all came out. Thank you Kristina and other staff at the Mayfair hotel.

The location is great, but after promising us our room block they then put lower prices on their website and other websites. I got several calls from relatives saying they booked outside the block since it was less expensive, which made it difficult to reach our number of rooms. We were able to work something out where most of the rooms counted towards our block. At checkout some guests told me they were overcharged. The pool is nice and the courtyard areas on each floor are great, but other than that I would book somewhere else.

Our daughter's wedding was in 2014. We chose the Mayfair because it was a beautiful hotel and the setting was different. Unfortunately, we had terrible problems with the hotel management and catering staff. We had several different catering managers to deal with and had people trying to change things very close to the wedding causing a great deal of stress for all of us. We had the cocktail hour in the atrium and it was so hot that our guests were dripping sweat. The rest of the reception went off fairly well. We had a large number of rooms booked for 2 or 3 nights but the rooms had a very musty smell. One of our guests had also cancelled 1 of the 2 nights they had booked and were told at check in that she had not shown up for the night before the wedding and had no room booked for the night of the wedding. The desk people were very rude to them and they were told that they had to pay for both nights. They are still fighting this 4 months after the wedding.

We had to explain our wedding vision and catering needs each time we had a new catering manager. The worst part was that things that the first and second guy said was okay to do (like have live music at our cocktail hour) the last manager we had 1 month before the wedding (Matilde) and the general manager of the hotel said was not okay even though everything was already paid in full and verbally agreed upon by the previous people. They also tried to tell us 2 weeks before the wedding that the price per guest was going to be an additional $25..which was nearly $3000! They ended up changing our cocktail hour time and modified the food to \"accommodate\" us. The day of the wedding they called my fiancé in his hotel room to tell him he was late checking out and charged him a late fee even though he explained the groomsmen were waiting on the limo to arrive! We would recommend having your wedding at the Mayfair Hotel and Spa. The hotel is beautiful and unique. You really can not go wrong with this venue.\r\rWe got married on November 8, 2014, and we had the ceremony and the reception at the hotel. The night was amazing and everything was exactly how we envisioned it and more. \r\rThe staff members are prompt and professional. Everything was flawless and we got to enjoy our wedding without having to stress about anything.\r\rMegan was great at handling every detail and dealing with all the bridal craziness that comes in the last couple weeks prior to the wedding.\r\rThank you all so much,\r\rKimberly & Eric

I would ABSOLUTELY recommend having your wedding at the Mayfair Hotel and Spa. We got married on May 25th, 2014, and we had the ceremony and the reception at the hotel. \rThe night was perfect! ALL of our guests kept telling us how beautiful the venue was and what a wonderful ceremony we had. \r\rJason (event manager) was simply amazing. He was very patient with us through out the planning. I was completely at ease knowing he was handling every detail. \r\rThe evening was flawless and all I needed to do was walk down the aisle. Our wedding was exactly as we imagined and more!!!!\r\rJessica and Ralph

The only way to get good service at the Mayfair in reserving a block of rooms is to talk to the Director of Sales directly. Otherwise prepare to be taken by the reservation staff. They're awful.

I reserved a room block at the Mayfair for guests coming in from out of town. The Mayfair was the perfect location and guests liked their rooms. I had some difficulty with communications, though, including that I was told I would receive updates concerning the room block on a regular basis and the only way I was able to get the updates was by repeatedly requesting them.
