Melhorn Manor is a family-owned wedding venue in Mount Joy, PA. This beautiful property, which dates back to 1750, is the epitome of barn elegance and represents the very best that central Pennsylvania has to offer. Here, historic features and modern amenities combine to create a charming, romantic ambience that will touch your heart and stay with you for the rest of your life. Melhorn Manor hosts wedding ceremonies and receptions for parties of up to 300 guests. The venue comprises several exquisite event areas. The climate-controlled Equestrian Barn has two lovely ceremony spaces and two get-ready suites and is perfect for weddings great and small. The Tobacco Barns has a beautiful event hall and is available year-round. The lightly renovated Corn Barn hosts rehearsal dinners and intimate wedding celebrations; it's also an ideal location for indoor games. Outside, the Stone Farmhouse and grounds make beautiful backdrops for those all-important wedding photos. Melhorn Manor offers a choice of seasonal wedding packages. Your booking includes exclusive use of the property and wedding coordination. Our packages also includes all barns, get-ready suites, grounds, gazebos, fountain, and ponds for 12 hours. Our wedding was 9/23/23 and it was so perfect! From the day we visited Melhorn Manor to the day of our wedding, we were so thankful to have found a great venue owned by even greater people! The venue itself offered so much on the property, that really set them aside from any other venue. Leading up to the day Jess and Allory were so responsive and made sure that we had everything covered as it needed to be. From picking out our caterer and bar package, linens, details for the ceremony, seating and table arrangements, etc. they made sure we were happy with our final decisions. Although the weather was not as we had hoped, as we originally had planned for an outdoor ceremony and cocktail hour. Allory and our vendors made sure that everything flowed easily and was the wedding of our dreams. Having our ceremony in the Tobacco Barn was so beautiful and our cocktail hour was inside the Stables which was great for our guests to mingle and see all of our decor. Our friends and family had so much fun and are still telling us how our wedding was one of the best they have ever been to! I could not thank the Melhorn’s and their staff enough for allowing us to forever cherish the precious memories we made that day!

Our wedding was 11/11/23 at Melhorn Manor and it was perfect! Choosing this venue was one of the best choices we made. The venue is gorgeous, spacious, and the perfect blend of modern and rustic. The bridal and groom suites are a must if you are getting ready on site at a venue, and the spaces at Melhorn are large enough to comfortably hang out. The owners, Jess and Allory, really set this venue above the rest. They are so organized, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and you can tell they really care about the couples getting married at their venue. During our wedding, Allory and Jess were present to make sure everything ran smoothly. I will recommend Melhorn 100% to anyone in search of a wedding venue!

We had our wedding on 9/16/23 @ Melhorn Manor. I can't even begin to put into words how much I absolutely love and recommend, not only this venue, but the owners. They were so great with organizing everything from start to finish. We originally had a different venue but decided to change and go with Melhorn and it was the best decision we could have ever made. They were friendly, understanding, easy going, just great. If you want a venue that truly cares about your special day and making it great, Melhorn Manor is the place to be. Our guests loved the venue and were saying how beautiful it was. There were so many locations for beautiful pictures. Our day was just perfect and they had a huge part in it. Thank you Allory and Jess for allowing us to celebrate our day at your beautiful venue!

We had our wedding on 9/16/23 @ Melhorn Manor. I can't even begin to put into words how much I absolutely love and recommend, not only this venue, but the owners. They were so great with organizing everything from start to finish. We originally had a different venue but decided to change and go with Melhorn and it was the best decision we could have ever made. They were friendly, understanding, easy going, just great. If you want a venue that truly cares about your special day and making it great, Melhorn Manor is the place to be. Our guests loved the venue and were saying how beautiful it was. There were so many locations for beautiful pictures. Our day was just perfect and they had a huge part in it. Thank you Allory and Jess for allowing us to celebrate our day at your beautiful venue!

We had my daughter's wedding at Melhorn Manor in June, 2023. The owners of the venue were so easy to work with and very accomodating to our needs. Both Jess and Allory were very organized, went over all details with us, and made great suggestions that we had not thought of. We were very pleased with the venue and the service we received.

Melhorn Manor was the first and ONLY venue that we toured when looking for a venue for both our ceremony and reception. After stepping on the property for the first time we instantly fell in love! My pinterest board inspo was near to exact of everything and more that I dreamed of! When planning for a wedding on a budget we wanted to get the biggest bang for our buck - yes it may be more upfront than most venues in the area but WOW is it worth it and even SAVES you money! What really made the instant decision to book was that Jess and Allory did not try to nickle and dime you - you paid for their venue but also it came with SO much stuff. It is beautiful in its nature with its elevated barn aroma that not a lot of decorations are needed to make it elegant. They also offered all and anything they had with no extra charge including ; a list of over 100 decor items to choose from, an arch (out of three choices), all tables and chairs you could ever need, their own sound system so we did not have to hire a DJ, coordination services MONTHS BEFORE and DURING the wedding - I could go on but I think you get the idea that Melhorn Manor is an OUTSTANDING venue with people that work and care for all their couples from the bottom of their hearts. Jess & Allory - thank you for making our dream day come to life! It was everything we ever dreamed of!

I cannot speak highly enough of Jess and Allory Melhorn. They are so personable and helpful throughout the ENTIRE process - not just the month before! Their venue is just beautiful. You get so much space for the wedding between the 3 barns. I wouldn’t look anywhere else - contact them right now!

Melhorn Manor was the perfect place for our wedding. Allory and Jess helped us during booking, set up, and day of to make everything run smoothly. Before seeing the venue, we were already pretty much sold on using Melhorn Manor as our wedding venue after just speaking with Allory and Jessica. They are so down to earth and sweet, and they were able to keep my mind at ease about anything I had questions about. As for the venue, it is absolutely beautiful and the amount of unique spaces drew us to it even more. The location being in town in Mount Joy surprised us initially, but while there you hardly even notice that this gem of a venue has other businesses and buildings nearby. You’ll feel like you’re in your own world either in the outside ceremony spot, playing cornhole at the front of the equestrian barn, or out back at their wonderful waterfall feature.

Choosing Melhorn Manor as or venue was the BEST decision we made for ourselves our wedding! We got married during COVID (I’m late to the review game, but just shows how much I felt compelled to write a review), and Jess and Allory were amazing and so supportive when it came to rescheduling our big day (twice!). They even worked with us to set up tents in the outdoor space so we could party safely in the beginning of 2021. They were so helpful throughout the whole process, including the day of. We couldn’t have asked for more from them and their team! And the venue itself is perfect- we ended up needing to utilise it in a unique way, which was pretty easy to do because of how many different location options they have. We had so many guests come up to us and comment on the venue and how perfect it was. AND- it was super accessible for differently-abled people we had at our wedding. We truly could not recommend Melhorn enough.

I had my wedding here in October of 2022 and it was more than I could have ever dreamed it would be. The Melhorns are FANTASTIC to work with. From the moment we met them we knew we wanted to get married on their property. They are so kind and knowledgeable and Jess was on top of the event planning with answers to every and any questions that we had. There are so many spots throughout the venue for pictures both inside and outside. We also had 20 or so people getting ready there day of and it was so comfortable and spacious for us all (our hair and makeup was very happy to have the space). I told them when it was over that I wish we could have an event there every year because of how enjoyable our experience was. If you have the chance to get married here-book ASAP!!

The Melhorn's do not disappoint. Starting from the time we met Allory and Jessica to the end of our wedding night we could not have asked for kinder people. They are both incredibly patient, nice, and smart. They have been in this role for many years now and it is a wonderful feeling to know you can trust them with one of the most important days ever. I would book with Jessica and Allory 1,000 times over if possible. You will not regret it one bit. The venue itself is beautiful. So many wonderful areas for portraits, cocktail hour, ceremony, etc. No matter what weather happens on your day you will not be upset. The worst part of booking with such wonderful people and venue is realizing that after the wedding day has come to end end, so has your planning. I have had the pleasure of chatting here and there with Jess post wedding, but no one tells you about the void you feel after spending a year or more with your vendors. We got married on 10/28/2022 at Melhorn Manor and it was an absolute amazing day. Leading up to the day Jessica was so fantastic to work with. She was prompt with answering all questions we had and very thorough at corroding all our wedding details. On our wedding day, Allory was there to help with making the day run smooth. We couldn’t have asked for a better team to make our day so special. We would recommend this venue to anyone interested in having a celebration at Melhorn.

She was prompt with answering all questions we had and very thorough at corroding all our wedding details. On our wedding day, Allory was there to help with making the day run smooth. We couldn’t have asked for a better team to make our day so special. We would recommend this venue to anyone interested in having a celebration at Melhorn.

Our guests still mention the \"Wow\" as they walked through the door to the reception. The entire venue feels authentic. It does not feel like trappings pulled together that largely look out of place as many venues these days do, but rather thoughtful historic preservation with just the right amount of modern amenities. It must not go without mentioning that Jess and Allory were the most gracious, kind hosts who were wonderful to work with from beginning to end. My wife and I were in the need of a new venue when our previous venue would not help us during 2020 with covid, and Melhorn Manor could not have been a more PERFECT choice of a new venue! Honestly, we wished we had seen them first because not only is the Venue GORGEOUS, but the Melhorn family is just absolutely amazing. Jess eased our stress about postponing our wedding for another year AND just helped in every way possible. I can not say enough good things about the venue and service that was provided. As a gay couple getting married in PA, we were nervous looking for venues and let me tell you we were so HONORED to be their first (of many) Gay Wedding! Jess was so sweet and so excited to have us that it really made us feel so so welcome into their venue and their family of weddings! We were a wedding of 75 people and we used the Tobacco Barn for our Ceremony, The Stables for Cocktail Hour, and the upstairs Barn for Reception. We used the Corn barn for some photos of us practicing our first dance as that was my favorite location! We were also a December wedding themed to Classic Winter Holiday and this was perfect for that. They were both incredibly responsive no matter what time of the day. They worked with us to bring our vision to life, offered decor and no idea was too crazy for them. They are contracted with incredible vendors that offered services that had varied pricing and they led us to the perfect caterer. They kept us organized when we were setting up and on schedule during our reception. They also gave a military discount which sweetened the deal! They were so much fun to work with, we connected with them both and they made the experience one that we will never forget. They were both incredibly responsive no matter what time of the day. They worked with us to bring our vision to life, offered decor and no idea was too crazy for them. They are contracted with incredible vendors that offered services that had varied pricing and they led us to the perfect caterer. They kept us organized when we were setting up and on schedule during our reception. They also gave a military discount which sweetened the deal! They were so much fun to work with, we connected with them both and they made the experience one that we will never forget. If Mount Joy is a good central place for your special day, stop looking and call the Allory and Jess Melhorn!

My wedding dreams came true thanks to Melhorn Manor! The days leading up to our wedding were filled with so much rain, we were thinking we needed to use our Plan B ceremony option but the day of there was no rain and thanks to Melhorn's landscaping, the grass wasn't even soggy! I was able to have my outdoor ceremony like I have always envisioned! The entire flow of the wedding from outdoor ceremony, to cocktail hour in the stables, to reception in the barn just worked so well. Melhorn was a barn turned into a venue. Its a venue with history and character, different from a typical venue. Most of my guests had never seen a venue like it. The owners Jess and Allory were so helpful throughout the entire process and were very attentive and involved the day of. Days before, we found out that the velvet napkins I had selected with one of my vendors were no longer available. Once Jess found out, she went out of her way and tried so hard to find another vendor to supply velvet napkins to help complete the look I was going for! I couldn't recommend Melhorn Manor enough, book your next event now!

The aesthetics and details are incredible, and my pictures are made all the better with the beautiful backdrop Melhorn Manor provided. But above all, the owners are the biggest reason to use this venue. Allory and Jess were super responsive, attentive and flexible. We had to adjust our event a few times due to Covid and in the end we had a fantastic day with lots of support and every detail exactly as we’d planned. Jess and Allory are an amazing vendor to work with!!!! You need to book your wedding at Melhorn Manor- I promise you that you wont be disappointed! In the beginning of our wedding venue search- we went to about six different venues and the day we set foot and had our one on one tour, we had a gut feeling that this was where we were supposed to get married. They took so much time explaining everything to us and giving us an amazing tour! They are a business, but you can tell this means more to them! They put their heart and soul into this business and they have an amazing way of really make you feel like you are their family and they would do anything for us to make our day perfect, and boy they did for sure! And then the pandemic happened which threw a wrench into our planning, but having Jess and Allory to lean on literally saved us! They were literally a text or phone call away- any time of the day- they were there for us answering our questions and helping us navigate our wedding day and helping coordinate with all the vendors as well! They sent out so many updates to all the couples keeping them updated on guidelines and new rules that needed to be followed and what the next steps were- they were so thorough. And then five days before our wedding, we didn’t hear from our bartending service and other weddings/couples were having issues with this company. Jess and Allory heard about the situation and already made calls and had their own staff lined up to work our wedding, and did all of this on their own so we didn’t have to stress about it! No other venue would do that for you!!! They got all the supplies and mixers, they literally SAVED the day! Jess was actually bartending 9 months pregnant helping out- I’m telling you this couple is AMAZING and will do whatever it takes to make our wedding day run smoothly and the best for us and our guests! EVERYONE at our wedding said they had such an amazing time! Greg and I owe a lot of that to Jess and Allory! We are so thankful for all of your help, support and guidance planning our best day ever! And we are so lucky to have gained a new friendship! <3

In the beginning of our wedding venue search- we went to about six different venues and the day we set foot and had our one on one tour, we had a gut feeling that this was where we were supposed to get married. They took so much time explaining everything to us and giving us an amazing tour! They are a business, but you can tell this means more to them! They put their heart and soul into this business and they have an amazing way of really make you feel like you are their family and they would do anything for us to make our day perfect, and boy they did for sure! And then the pandemic happened which threw a wrench into our planning, but having Jess and Allory to lean on literally saved us! They were literally a text or phone call away- any time of the day- they were there for us answering our questions and helping us navigate our wedding day and helping coordinate with all the vendors as well! They sent out so many updates to all the couples keeping them updated on guidelines and new rules that needed to be followed and what the next steps were- they were so thorough. And then five days before our wedding, we didn’t hear from our bartending service and other weddings/couples were having issues with this company. Jess and Allory heard about the situation and already made calls and had their own staff lined up to work our wedding, and did all of this on their own so we didn’t have to stress about it! No other venue would do that for you!!! They got all the supplies and mixers, they literally SAVED the day! Jess was actually bartending 9 months pregnant helping out- I’m telling you this couple is AMAZING and will do whatever it takes to make our wedding day run smoothly and the best for us and our guests! EVERYONE at our wedding said they had such an amazing time! Greg and I owe a lot of that to Jess and Allory! We are so thankful for all of your help, support and guidance planning our best day ever! And we are so lucky to have gained a new friendship! <3

We had to postpone our wedding and Jess and allory helped us pick our new date, follow cdc guidelines and make all of our friends and family feel safe. I would do it all over again just to work with Jess and allory again. This venue is a beauty so many spaces to plan and create it your own. We could not have been happier with our experience at Melhorn Manor! This was the second wedding venue we toured, and we instantly fell in love. In addition to the amazing venue itself, Allory and Jess were fantastic to work with! From simple texts, calls, and emails, they were quick to get back to us with answers to any questions we may have had...and we certainly had a lot of them! They were so patient in working with us to make sure our day was exactly what we had imagined! We were consistently welcomed back to take another tour or show family members our future reception location, whenever we asked! Although Melhorn Manor is absolutely BEAUTIFUL on its own, the experience of working with Allory and Jess was one that we couldn't find anywhere else. We felt like our needs and wants were truly listened to. They made our reception run seamlessly, and we could not have been happier with how everything turned out! They made our vision of a Christmas wedding absolutely perfect. From the beautiful Christmas decorations, to the many lights both in- and outside the venue, it was exactly what we were looking for. We even lucked out with a 60-degree day, and they quickly got the yard games out for us, as I had requested. Our guests loved spending some time outside during Cocktail Hour, while playing some Cornhole and other games. No matter what season your wedding is, you are bound to have an amazing experience and beautiful scenery at Melhorn Manor. The bridal suite and man cave are sure to please as well! The boys loved having two TVs and plenty of games to occupy their time downstairs. The girls loved the rustic vibe of the bridal suite, and it was the perfect space for getting ready for my special day! Overall, our experience at Melhorn Manor is one that we will continue to tell people about for the rest of our lives. If you are looking for a rustic, classy, and lovely wedding venue, this is the place. We could not have better things to say about it!

They went out of their way to show us the venue, tell us about its history, and how couples have used it in the past. Allory and Jess were fun, helpful, and honest. They sold us on the venue 5 months ago, and we just had our wedding at Melhorn last night. Jess and Allory were fantastic hosts, came up to us throughout the night to check in, and were there to answer any questions. We had the most amazing experience. Our wedding was beautiful, our guests raved over the venue’s natural beauty, and we danced the night away. My husband and I can’t put in to words how much we loved Melhorn Manor. Our day was beyond perfect. Jessica and Allory were so helpful. I often times would text Jessica with many questions and she would always get back to me. Even though like I felt like a nervous and neurotic bride, Jessica and Allory made sure to make me feel the opposite. If you want rustic meets elegant, Melhorn Manor is the place. What put Melhorn Manor above all other venues we looked at were Jessica and Allory. We did not feel like just another couple paying to get married at a location, but, that we were a priority and they were invested in our day as much as we were. Everything was wonderful and we highly recommend picking Melhorn for your special day. You will not be disappointed.

What put Melhorn Manor above all other venues we looked at were Jessica and Allory. We did not feel like just another couple paying to get married at a location, but, that we were a priority and they were invested in our day as much as we were. Everything was wonderful and we highly recommend picking Melhorn for your special day. You will not be disappointed.

They had great communication and were amazing on the day of the wedding ensuring that we had everything we needed! Melhorn Manor was the perfect place for our wedding. It was the first and only venue we looked at and we knew right away that it was the place that we wanted to get married at. It is absoulty stunning, inside and out. They have multiple different locations for your ceremony and reception so even if there is bad weather you can still have two spereate areas for each one and they are all beautiful. That really helps to give you peace of mind while planning your big day. Jess and Allory were also amazing from start to finish. They are so kind, accommodating, flexiable and had great communication throughout the whole process. They answered any and all of our questions whenever we had them and really helped bring everything together. All in all we couldn't have asked for a more perfect wedding day. It really was a dream come true and that wouldn't have been possible without Jess, Allory and their beautiful wedding venue.

My husband and I cannot recommend Melhorn Manor enough! We both live and work overseas, so the majority of our pre-wedding planning/coordinating with them actually had to happen online. They were extremely helpful, patient, understanding, quick to respond, and willing to go above and beyond to make sure that we had all the necessary information, and all of our questions answered. When we did get back to the USA a month before the wedding and were able to actually go to Melhorn Manor and meet Allory and Jess in person, we continued to be impressed. They are so personable, and it is clear that they honestly want to make each couple’s wedding day absolutely amazing. The venue itself is absolutely gorgeous; all of our guests commented on that as well! It is stylish, spacious, clean, and is kept up extremely well. The location of the venue is great, too. It is in a nice quiet area, but has convenience stores, grocery stores, etc. nearby for any last-minute needs. It also has plenty of parking. Allory and Jess helped us with everything from figuring out the layout of the reception and the general timing plan of our wedding day, to on the wedding day itself, making sure that things ran perfectly smoothly—even offering to take care of big and small details here and there, like helping with the set up of the ceremony location on their property that we chose (there are several options!), making sure our guest book was moved from one place to the next as guests moved from cocktail hour to the actual reception, totally facilitating the sparkler sendoff, and Jess just checking on me (the bride) throughout the day to make sure I was doing ok. I felt so much less stress on the wedding day than I thought I would, all because of the help they gave with these details and many more. I didn’t have to be worrying about things running perfectly smoothly, because they took care of it! Like we said, we can’t say enough good things about Allory and Jess and Melhorn Manor. The way our process went with them, from beginning to end, was wonderful!

I can't say enough good things about this place!! The venue is gorgeous and the owners are constantly working tirelessly to update the space and make it more attractive to couples. It is amazing seeing their renovations and how beautiful the venue turns out after each update. The owners are an amazing couple that really take pride in their work and are very good to their customers. They are always happy to answer any questions and assist in any way possible. It has been a pleasure to get to know them and see the amazing space. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants an outdoor wedding but also likes having the security blanket of an indoor space should weather occur day of the ceremony!

I cannot put into words how incredible our wedding was because of Melhorn Manor. The only thing I'm upset about is that we don't get to work with them or discuss our big day anymore - but I will be sure to suggest this venue to anyone I possibly can. There's no better wedding or event venue in PA. Thank you, Jess and Allory, for making my wedding more magical than I ever could have imagined. I can't recommend this venue enough.

It was important for us to work with a venue who cared. We didn’t want to be just another couple that the venue books to fill the weekend. We never felt like that! Meet the Melhorn Manor Team
Allory and Jessica Melhorn (Owner) The property is currently owned by the fourth generation of the Melhorn family, husband and wife team Allory and Jessica, who were also the first couple to get married at Melhorn Manor in the fall of 2017. Allory is a retired diesel technician who comes from a family with deep roots in Mount Joy, PA. Jessica recently retired from the teaching profession to run Melhorn Manor's event venue full-time.Together the couple has renovated and revitalized this historic property, taking care to retain the original historic charm of the buildings and barns.
