Mendakota Country Club is a classic wedding venue located in Mendota Heights that is open to the public for weddings and events. Our meticulously maintained golf course serves as a beautiful photo backdrop for your big day. With its classic décor, and panoramic views, the venue provides a breathtaking atmosphere for your wedding with endless design options. Mendakota Country Club has three function spaces available for your special day, a gorgeous bridal suite, access to our golf simulator rooms and the men’s card room. Making this a one stop shop for all day getting ready fun! The Lakeside Room is ideal for a large wedding reception. With beautiful classic chandeliers, rich oak millwork, cathedral ceilings and neutral colors throughout, it provides a clean and polished setting for your wedding. The room can host up to 300 guests and is surrounded by spacious windows that provide a panoramic view of the golf course and Rogers Lake. The Boardroom is perfect for an intimate gathering. Hosting up to 20 people, it offers a cozy atmosphere complete with views of the 18th fairway. The Evergreen room is also fit for smaller functions or a spectacular social hour. The room includes a spacious outdoor Golfview Terrace so you can enjoy both indoor and outdoor areas. When you book a wedding with us you get all these spaces included in your big day! Outside ceremony and social hour, we can do that! Prefer all indoors, we got you covered. Mendakota Country Club has several services available for your wedding. With the option of event planning, our seasoned staff will work with you to create your perfect day. We have plenty of event rentals to choose from, so your dream wedding can be made a reality. We got had our reception for our wedding at Mendakota June of 2023, on a Saturday, and it was everything we wanted. It's a great location since we had people flying in for our wedding. Working with Adena was great; she always answered our emails/calls promptly and assured us that Mendakota could work with us on anything we needed/wanted (which was very helpful for the setting up/tearing down part of the wedding/able to get some items the next day). The food for dinner was amazing- still get comments from people on how good it was. We had a freshly baked pastries and mimosas in the bridal getting ready room and had lunch for the bridal party there as well. A little extra bonus was Mendakota had just re-done their patio which was perfect for happy hour. The day-of went very smoothly (we did hire an outside wedding coordinator/planner), but Mendakota had their event coordinator, Jessica, there to answer questions and help facilitate things if needed (she was very helpful throughout the evening). Overall, it was a beautiful venue and highly recommend it to anyone. Thanks to all the staff at Mendakota for a wonderful venue and experience.

We absolutely loved Mendakota Country Club! Adena was wonderful to work with, very responsive. Everyone was very helpful throughout the whole process and the space was stunning. All of our guests loved all of the food, definitely a major victory as we had some tricky pallets. The only minor downside that we had was that we were unable to do a rehearsal in advance so our spacing and timing was a little off for the ceremony.

Adena was very responsive to all our inquiries early in the venue choosing process! She was informative, personable, and made us feel so special! The venue itself was perfect. The new patio was such a fun surprise this year and perfectly fit all our guests and our social hour! All our pictures were stunning on the course, and we are so grateful to have been able to take the golf cart out for some golden hour photos! Jessica the day of was helpful and on top our the bridal party’s food and drink throughout the morning. The ballroom was magical for our reception with the cafe lights and windows. We can’t recommend Mendakota enough!

Our wedding was a magical day at the Mendakota Country Club! The venue was so beautiful, our food was excellent and the service was great! Adena and Jess were wonderful to work with! I would highly recommend having your wedding at this venue! One of the bonuses was going out on the golf course with Jess to take some pictures with our photographer! Our wedding was a magical day at the Mendakota Country Club! The venue was so beautiful, our food was excellent and the service was great! Adena and Jess were wonderful to work with! We celebrated our wedding at Mendakota Country Club 12/10 and it was nothing short of AMAZING. The reception went so smooth, it blew my expectations away. From the staff to the decor the place was absolutely mind blowing. Adena was always available and quick to respond and never missed a beat. She was so helpful to us. The food was amazing and the guests have not stopped raving how wondering the evening was. There was no hidden fees or surprises. Would definitely recommend anyone looking for a reception venue! 11/10

We had our ceremony and reception at Mendakota Country Club last weekend and we are so pleased with how smoothly things went! Adena was wonderful to work with, always answering any questions that arose in a timely manner. They are very straight forward with pricing and no hidden fees. Guests keep raving about the food as well. The Mens card room and bridal suite were great for the guys and gals to get ready in too! 10/10 would recommend!!

Everyone has ALWAYS told me your wedding day is simply the best day of your life. I always thought it would be, but on Oct 29, 2022 IT WAS!!! And I can thank Adena and her staff at Mendakota Country Club for that. Adena was absolutely amazing. She helped with all of our needs and answered all of the questions we had (and we had a lot… lol). We had a mishap in our ceremony venue only a couple weeks before our wedding, and had to switch from a church to the country club. I was stressed to the max- and kept thinking “how is this even going to be possible now?” Without hesitation, Adena assured us she could accommodate and made it happen FLAWLESSLY. She set up multiple meetings with us so we could meet face to face, along with phone meetings to solidify details. In addition, we met with Megan (sorry if I’m incorrect with names) and she we also amazing! she was there to help with our grand march (amongst other things) with a smile on her face no matter how rowdy our wedding party got!! Our day wouldn’t have been what it was without Adena. Mendakota was ABSOLUTELY beautiful & we received NUMEROUS compliments on our venue selection. They help you with anything you may need on your wedding day, but not to a point that they interrupt and/or ask the bride questions. They knew who to go to & our day turned out absolutely beautiful! Not to mention, our guests RAVED about the food, the service and our bartender!!! (I believe his name was Ben? But I could be wrong because I don’t remember!) if you’re looking for the perfect venue, look no further than working with Adena and booking at Mendakota Country Club! I could go on and on about how great our experience was!!!! Thank you Adena, Megan, Mendakots & staff!!!! AMAZING

Adena Hinz, Sales Director is unprofessional in that she sends an estimate that is invalid such as substituting someone's else estimate(name, date, time pricing) and that has no correlation whatsoever to the information discussed in person.Repeated requests for corrections were ignored.Nicole Fox, Manager gave the explanation that this estimate was a \"sample\". No valid estimates are ever given just \"sample estimates\" . Such an outrageous deceptive business practice in addition to being unprofessional on so many levels that everyone to be aware. How can anyone sign a contract for service without having a valid estimate provided beforehand?

I am so glad we chose Mendakota Country Club as our venue for our wedding. We got married in September 2022 and Adena was our main point of contact. She was amazing to work with and so organized. The bartenders and staff were excellent throughout the event and the entire evening was beautiful. The prices for food and drink did increase after we had already booked with them which was a bummer but with recent inflation I heard that was a typical occurrence with venues this year. I would recommend this venue to anyone who wants a beautiful wedding where you know you can trust the staff. Thank you Mendakota!

My husband and I got married at Mendakota Country Club in August of 2022. Overall, we had a wonderful wedding day and feel extremely happy with how everything came together. We do feel like Mendakota country club was the perfect venue for us and we wouldn’t change that decision whatsoever. The views are absolutely astounding, so much greenery everywhere! The main reception room is so gorgeous and we received so many compliments from our guests on the food. In addition, we loved being able to take the golf carts out for pictures of the day of, especially under the big and beautiful weeping willow trees. Leading up to the big day, Adena and Megan were very easy to work with and helped in a lot of planning, down to small details and questions. The reason for leaving 4 stars instead of 5 comes down to two things. First, the night before our wedding there was a pretty heavy storm and we did not find out until the morning of the wedding that the ceremony grass area was completely flooded. We understood that it was outside of their control that this happened but we were told the morning of our wedding that the only solution would be to move the ceremony inside. We really did not want to do that so we asked if the staff who maintains the golf course could take a look and maybe use some of their equipment to clear some of the water like they do on the rest of the course. We were told they would come up and look at it. A few hours went by and nobody came to look at it. My husband and all of his groomsmen spent the few hours before our ceremony going out to buy a pump and then hand pumping the water out which was very stressful. In the end they got it done and we were able to still have our ceremony outside, but that was not something we wanted to have to do on the day of our wedding and we felt disappointed that no help was presented to us at all and that after all of our planning to have our ceremony outside, they said to live it inside. And then secondly, we had both sheet cake and a 3 tier cake for our reception and the tiered cake never got cut and served. We did voice that we wanted both served as the sheet cake was to be served to about 90 guests and then the tiered cake to the remaining 45. After we had cut the tiered cake with our photographer for pics, we visited with our guests tables and by the time they had all been served their quite small portion of cake, we turned around and saw they never took away our tiered cake to be cut. This was also very disappointing as we spent a lot of money on this cake for it to never be served and resulted in our guests having small pieces. When I asked one of the servers, they said they were never told about it. Clearly these two things were frustrating but we wouldn’t have still given the venue 4 stars if there wasn’t an abundance of other wonderful things about it that outweighed the two things that went wrong. We still do recommend Mendakota Country Club to anyone looking for a venue

We had my daughter and son-in-laws wedding and reception at Mendakota Country Club August 13, 2022. The venue is stunning, the bridal sweet is perfect for all the bridesmaids and moms to get ready in and staff available to help with all your needs. Adena is absolutely amazing always available to answer questions and to calm any nerve’s she and her staff are there to serve and make your wedding and the planning perfect. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect venue for my daughter’s wedding, Mendakota Country Club and it’s staff did not disappoint and met all our expectations in making this a perfect wedding day. We just had our wedding here in August and it was amazing! We worked with Adena throughout our whole wedding planning process and she was great- very professional and organized. The way she spoke about the venue and the staff on our first tour was a big part of the reason we chose to have our wedding here. We could tell Adena knew what she was doing and with such a beautiful and spacious venue, we couldn't pass it up. We had some last minute changes made for our ceremony due to rain, but Adena presented us with a few different options and helped my wedding coordinator to create the best indoor ceremony solution. From there the day went by smoothly and we honestly can't think of anything that went wrong. The staff were very friendly and professional. Everyone knew what they were doing and did it efficiently, even during our last minute changes that day. The venue itself was beautiful and romantic. We got great photos outside on the patio area with all the greenery and colorful flowers and later that evening had a fun photoshoot on the golf course. Not every country club venue allows couples onto the course, so that was an awesome bonus. We were so happy we chose Mendakota!

This is the absolute perfect place to get married at!! The venue itself is so beatiful with the windows and views of the golf course not to mention all the beatiful landscape that surround the location! It made for a perfect outdoor ceremony!! They have the amazing spaces for both the guys and girls to get ready as well! Girls were able to use a bridal suite that was gorgeous with lots of natural lighting. And the guys rented the golf stimulator rooms and were able to use the locker room to get ready. The food was all phenomenal and we got lots of compliments!! And if the location doesn't have you stuck enough- the staff is equally as amazing to work with! Josh was in charge of ensuring everything went smooth and he did just that and than some!! We couldn't have imagined a more perfect day!!! And thats all thanks to Josh and his staff! I highly recommend choosing MCC for your wedding day!!

My husband and I wanted to find a place that allowed for an outdoor ceremony and indoor reception that was also dog friendly and did not cost an arm and leg for the space itself. Mendakota Country Club was absolutely beautiful and perfect! We fell in love with the wood ceilings and large windows for the reception space, the garden area for the ceremony, and the bright lights in the new bridal suite. They were very reasonably priced and the food was amazing!! Josh Titus was our event coordinator and if we could hire him for every event from this day forward we would! He was extremely responsive to all of our emails leading up to our wedding day, we were able to meet with him at the venue a few times prior to our wedding day to go over details, and he did EVERYTHING on our wedding day! From setting up chairs for the ceremony, to bartending, and being our go to person if/when we needed anything, he was our guy and he ROCKED it!! He was our yes man. Everything we asked for (within reason) he said yes to which helped make our wedding day as personable as possible without the added stress!

One of the major reasons we went with Mendakota is the ability to have the entire upper facility for our guests. There are 3 rooms and a patio area that guest socialized in all night long. I worked with the Mendakota Club on a wedding this past weekend and the staff is great! The space is beautiful and lots of opportunities for photos. The ceremony was outside on the patio and then cocktail hour/reception inside. The catering staff was professional and attentive, the guests complimented the food and everyone had a great time. I would definitely recommend the Mendakota Club if someone is looking for a beautiful golf club setting for their wedding day or special event!

Mendakota Country Club was a stunning place to have a wedding. I loved all of the windows, the ability to sit outside, and the beautiful scenery. The food was also really yummy the night of! As the bride, it was very fun to be able to go out in the golf cart and take photos with my new husband. However, the servers served the cake while we were gone and then all of our older guests left before we had a chance to cut the cake. Unfortunately, this was just one of several communication difficulties along the way. The director of catering, although friendly in person, was incredibly difficult to communicate with via email (the main form of communication.) We would have to send the same email 3 times, and then finally give up and call. His attitude was calm, but also quite cavalier. This was my family's first wedding and we really could have used help with the planning process. Thank goodness we had a support system because the venue did not support our planning process. If you have your own wedding planner, then this place is great. However, I wouldn't recommend it without. Also--shout out to Josh for stepping up and helping us the day of! He did a really stellar job.

Overall Mendakota is a fantastic option and we were very happy with the end result. The space is beautiful, the coffered ceiling is nice especially for a fall wedding. The food is wonderful, the best I have had at a wedding so far, the drinks were strong and service is excellent. However, this is my advice to you. Brides please be warned there is a chance for multiple events on your wedding day!! This was not communicated to us prior to booking, and after finding out through a mutual friend (not the venue) they had booked another wedding in the morning before ours. This threw a wrench in setting up the decor in the morning, getting ready at the venue, and taking photos inside per rain. Luckily the weather held out for us to take some outside photos. It added to the stress of the day, we had to have multiple back up plans, and friends left the ceremony early to go help set up the space. Guests said that they were still setting up upon cocktail hour. Lisa, the coordinator, was really nice and did everything she could to make it seamless, and we were pleased with everything in the end, but it was added pressure on everyone and I think it would be beneficial of Mendakota to change that so the couple feels like it is their day, but unfortunately it seems like money was more important. Overall we were very happy and everyone loved the food and had a great time so that is a win in the end.

The country club itself was extremely beautiful, and I couldn't imagine a ballroom more gorgeous. The ceremony site was also just as beautiful. The service was good as well as the food. My husband and I started working with Paige, and she was extremely caring and accommodating, but then she resigned, and my last 2 months before the wedding, we worked with Perry, and a very little bit with Lisa. At all costs, if you have the option, do not work with Perry. He is everything you don't want in a person of his position. He was very rude, he acts like he is above you, he switched many rules/circumstances on us from the original meeting with Paige, he is not accommodating whatsoever, and his best interest is getting more money out of you. We had a set time to drop of decor with Perry, but when we got there, he wasn't, and an employee kindly took our decor. As we were walking out, Perry walked in, and I tried talking to him, and he didn't even look at us. He walked right by, and into his office area, and ignored us completely. I would highly suggest requesting Lisa(Paige's replacement). Perry also stated we would get an extra bill for the alcohol we purchased through the country club, but that it would be taken off. Unfortunately it wasn't taken off, and we're stuck paying this extra bill after we had already paid the venue in full. I had no bad reviews until encountering Perry. Carlos took over for the rest of the night on our wedding night, after Lisa left, and he was great. Lisa also made sure I had everything I needed during the day, and that my standards were met. I would give the venue itself a 5-star rating, it is everything you want in a venue from the beauty of it, to the service, to the food. Unfortunately, I have to give it a 3 because working with Perry was extremely frustrating and upsetting.

We toured about 10 venues in the Twin Cities when we moved here last year and decided to get married in our new home town. We were looking for a place that was classic, connected with the ourdoors, and personal. Mendakota Country Club was all of these items and more! The clubhouse itself is simple and beautiful with high wood ceilings which is a lovely backdrop for any decorations. The grounds of the country club and the golf course were absolutely gorgeous, especially in August, when all the flowers are blooming and the sunshine is warm. Perry, the coordinator at Mendakota, was so fun to work with - that man has personality and is VERY good at what he does! He gave us great suggestions on how to best spend our budget to maximize the vision we imagined. He knew the important things to do to support traditions, like a wine pour and a signature drink, and he was also very flexible to let us decorate the way we wanted. He helped us to determine the layout of the room to hold our 130 guests, a big harvest table for the bridal party and their dates, and a band with a ample dance floor. It turned out absolutely awesome!!Also the food was very good. We had salmon and filet mignon, and we received so may comments from our guests on how perfectly cooked they were! The waitstaff were exceptional and did so many small things to make the day special, including opening doors for guests, caring to small decoration details, cleaning plates/drinks in a timely manner, and helping guests with random requests. We were extremely impressed with everything!!!! Highly recommend this venue.

Mendakota exceeded our expectations for our Wedding Ceremony and Reception. The wedding was NYE and Mendakota was still decorated for Christmas, it was absolutely breath taking. Mendakota is such a beautiful structure surrounded by many windows with views of the golf course. I can't thank Paige and Perry (and banquet staff) enough for all of their efforts to ensure we were on track during planning and helping us the night of! I would highly recommend Mendakota for Wedding, they go above and beyond and we are so thankful and happy we chose to have our wedding there.

From the moment we saw the high wooden ceilings, surrounding windows and the overall layout of Mendakota Country Club, we knew we wanted to have our wedding reception there. The space had great flow for cocktail hour, dinner, dancing, space for our photo booth and late night snacks. Paige was a great coordinator and paid attention to all of our requests. One thing to keep in mind when booking this venue is that we had 250 guests and it felt perfect, if not a little tight on tables. I only write this because on The Knot this venue is listed at 300+ capacity. We had a wonderful experience overall and highly recommend this venue if you are looking for beautiful scenery and a reception space to accommodate both that want to dance during the reception or hang out and chat in one of their adjoining rooms.

I can't thank all the people at Mendakota enough for all they did to make our daughter's wedding SO lovely. Everything was PERFECT! We couldn't have been happier or more thrilled. I appreciated all of their suggestions throughout, and for being mindful of budget concerns for us. They were right about everything. They know what they're doing! I so appreciated that they didn't push expensive extras. The entire staff paid incredible attention to every small detail and were professional, friendly, and just delightful. The Mendakota Country Club was soo beautiful, I couldn't have asked for a better location for our outdoor ceremony and indoor reception. The wedding coordinator had a bit of an attitude but as long as you could brush that off he really was very helpful! The food was wonderful as well, but the wait staff had to always be asked for refills even though you paid for butler service. It was great that they had two bars because we had a fairly large guest list but both bartenders were a bit rude and one actually asked where his tip was at the end of the night and having worked in the service industry for so long I thought that was absolutely unacceptable. At the end of the day though everything really was amazing and the place was so beautiful I would still highly recommend having your wedding or event here! \r\rP.S. There are also soo many amazing places to take beautiful pictures!

The wedding coordinator had a bit of an attitude but as long as you could brush that off he really was very helpful! The food was wonderful as well, but the wait staff had to always be asked for refills even though you paid for butler service. It was great that they had two bars because we had a fairly large guest list but both bartenders were a bit rude and one actually asked where his tip was at the end of the night and having worked in the service industry for so long I thought that was absolutely unacceptable. At the end of the day though everything really was amazing and the place was so beautiful I would still highly recommend having your wedding or event here! \r\rP.S. There are also soo many amazing places to take beautiful pictures!

We had a great time at Mendakota! They even let us use golf carts to go take pictures out on the course. Perry was very accommodating and the evening flowed smoothly.

I walked into this place the day after getting engaged for another event and knew instantly this was my dream location. With Christmas décor set up and my florist and lighting it was a perfect winter wonderland inside the room with the help of the staff and food it was the most perfect place for my Mid December wedding. The big windows over looking the snow on the golf course and the fire pit burning for my smoker friends it was exactly everything I had imagined and more I can not speak the praises of the club nearly enough. Perry was wonderful to work with and very understanding

Mendakota made our wedding so easy and very effortless. They allowed us to pretty much anything we asked - arrive early to decorate/take pictures. We did not have any major/minor issues and they were very kind and very helpful throughout the night

Mendakota was great to work with, and they made the day wonderful and effortless. The venue had great chairs and a beautiful ceiling so I didn't need additional decorations. THey coordinated with all the other vendors. The food is AMAZING. Guests couldn't stop raving about it!

They did an amazing job! The Reception was beautiful, the staff were great, the food was delicious, and everyone had a blast! We have had so many of our guests compliment on how beautiful the Reception was and how much they loved the food! The potato bar was a HUGE hit!:)
