We have plenty of dates in 2024 Still Available! Mesón Sabika is an elegant mansion wedding venue located in Naperville, IL. This Georgian-style estate is nestled near the city's downtown region, perfect for any out-of-town guests who want to extend their stay in the area. Dating back to 1847, it'll add a touch of historic charm to any celebration. The venue covers four scenic acres and is finished with charming Spanish decor. Mesón Sabika offers a variety of event spaces where you can host your big day. Ceremonies can be held in the picturesque garden, which offers views of the memorable mansion. Next to the elegant house, you'll find the Pavilion. This 5,000-square-foot event space was designed with wedding receptions in mind and features sophisticated details like a draped ceiling and vintage chandeliers. Its windows overlook the grounds, letting you embrace the beauty of the estate from the comfort of indoors. The Pavilion can comfortably accommodate up to 270 guests for a seated meal. The mansion is home to eight separate dining rooms, with distinctive murals and timeless decor creating a one-of-a-kind look. The dining spaces on the second floor can seat up to 120 guests for a delightful meal. In addition to ceremonies and receptions, Mesón Sabika is also open to hosting engagement parties, couples' showers, and rehearsal dinners. The team at the venue is on hand to provide various supports, so you can bring your dream day to life with as little stress as possible. This includes being able to take care of bartending, catering, and desserts, with a focus on traditional Spanish fare. I cannot say enough good things about Meson Sabika. The event staff was professional, caring, and so helpful. They transformed the already beautiful ballroom into my vision perfectly. The food was amazing - multiple guests told me it was the best wedding food they ever had. No one left hungry. The planning process was easy and thorough every step of the way. I am seriously hoping my friends get married here as well so I can come back as a guest.

From the day we viewed the Pavillion to the time the lights came up after the reception, everything at Meson Sabika was flawless. The staff was responsive both in the planning and execution of the event. Nothing went wrong on our wedding day. Nothing. Many guests have said it was the best wedding they have ever been to. Guests raved about the food, service, decor, and ambiance. I was concerned with spacing, since our ceremony proceeded cocktail hour, but my concerns were unfounded. The staff flipped the room from ceremony space to reception space in the blink of an eye.The food was outstanding and the service was phenomenal. We are already talking about hosting more parties at Meson Sabika. It was perfect.

Overall, we had a 5-star experience with our wedding event at Meson! The food is top tier; no doubt about it. Our guests raved about every food item. The venue is also beautiful. The event staff did an excellent job at maximizing the space with tables and decorations, all the while keeping things efficient/minimal. The staff was incredibly helpful all the way through the process. This allowed for only a few hiccups that were easily resolved during the day of the event. I would recommend this venue to anyone that is looking for an \"all in one\" experience.

If we could eat at Mesón Sabika every day, we would. The professionalism of the staff day-of was also impeccable, from the servers to the bartenders. The day went off without a hitch.

The venue itself is stunning - both the garden where our ceremony took place and the reception pavilion were the perfect backdrops for our wedding day. Having grown up in Naperville, Meson Sabika was always in the back of my mind for a wedding venue and booking it was the best decision ever. The food is of course incredible. But the hospitality and the attention to detail was what really made the day perfect. Jessica and her team made sure everything was taken care of and looked exactly how we wanted it to. My husband and I were checked in on throughout the night and everyone we interacted with was so kind. They made sure we had more than enough food and drinks - they even brought passed apps to us while we were taking family photos. I would absolutely recommend Meson Sabika to anyone getting married. Their experience in event planning and customer service is extremely apparent and we really did have the best day ever.

Meson Sabika was the absolute best venue for our ceremony and reception! We got to work with Jessica, who helped us with the venue tour and the food tasting, as well as working with our coordinator for the logistics of our wedding day. Our coordinators were very pleased with the service they received from Meson Sabika and said they were very easy to work with. The venue is incredible and our guests can't stop talking about how good the food was. The drinks were flowing with excellent bartending and wait staff, and overall, we and our guests had the best time. Numerous people told us \"this is the best wedding I've ever been to,\" citing the venue location, food and drink quality, and overall atmosphere as the reason why they had such an awesome time. My experience with Meson Sabika was absolutely amazing. Jessica and her team did an OUTSTANDING job with creating my dream wedding!! From the easy communication to impeccable food, help with the decor and many many questions I had along the way, Jessica was so patient, kind and helpful. My guests cannot stop raving about the food and ambiance and none of it would have been possible without Jessica, her team, staff, chefs & wonderful owner who took the time to personally thank us for booking at his venue! We are very thankful we had our wedding at Mesón Sabika, it is an amazing venue. Jessica was wonderful to work with. The three biggest things we were looking for in a venue were quality of food, best bang for your buck, and atmosphere/setting. Mesón Sabika is all these things and then some. Mesón Sabika has a reputation for how good their food is and after the initial tour, they gave us a voucher to try their food for dinner. After eating there we knew if we had our wedding here our dinner would be unique and great. You can have your wedding dinner served traditionally or tapas style or a combination of both and we chose tapas style. We received a lot of compliments from our guests on the food and decor of everything. We had a lot of guests with dietary restrictions and they addressed each and every single one. The outdoor garden was beautiful for our ceremony and the indoor reception was beautiful as well and hosted all of our 270 guests. We were also looking for a venue that could host both the ceremony and reception and have both locations look beautiful for pictures and Mesón Sabika was that. Pricing was reasonable. For our wedding count, two bars were made available which was appreciated by our guests. As our ceremony ended and we walked off, we were greeted by the staff who gave us our first drinks of the night. At our final detail appointment meeting Jessica went over everything to help us feel comfortable and ready. She also went over a lot of stuff we didn’t even think of. One thing that we do wish could have been better and we do not fault the venue for this is their communication was slower than our other vendors. We understand and saw how popular Mesón Sabika was for any event, not just weddings, and how busy their restaurant side is as well. Because of that busyness, responses to our inquiries through emails took some time. But they were always very detailed in their emails back and addressed all of our questions. They also have multiple staff answering our emails so sometimes it was confusing as we had to double check mainly with Jessica at the end to make sure the information was correct. At the end of the day we are very thankful to all the staff at Mesón Sabika for making our wedding unforgettable.

Their is a minimum spend not a minimum person. This means if you have a smaller party you can just update your bar and food options. Family style tapas and plated meal. The food kept coming. The general manager helped me set up after my fiancé had something to take care of. Food was on time and absolutely delicious. This is a restaurant and man can they keep their quality at scale .The grounds are gorgeous in august which was ideal for first look and bridal park pics. We almost didn’t do our pics here because we visited in winter. So glad we changed our minds last minute. They put our appetizer in the bridal suite and had a our signature drinks as we got out of the ceremony site.I am so happy that we get to eat here for our anniversary for the rest of our lives.

After visiting the pavilion, we knew this was the exact feel and experience we’d want our guests to have in attending our special day. And the establishment’s reputation with food is nothing shy of outstanding. After our tour visit, the team generously set us up with a dinner reservation that evening to try various tapas dishes. This was a kind gesture on their behalf, and certainly left a mark on the type of character we’d want any guest to experience at our reception. After that dinner, it was very apparent Meson Sabika was our only choice.This only covers a higher level overview of selecting the venue. The team at Meson Sabika, led by Jessica, deserves absolute praise. Without explaining their involvement, their work goes unseen and unread. They helped us every step of the way from when we first confirmed our date and time to the moment we left after the reception ended. Their communication, care, detailed focus, and approach shined as we inched closer and closer to the big day. Their brochure and contract leave everything flat out on the line, with no issues or misleading language. That comfort carried into a few additional visits we made when we ran into some tough decisions on selecting tapas for dinner. Each visit had the same quality experience, again, ensuring the decision we initially made was the absolute right one.The big day was a walk in the park. Jessica and team checked on both of us to ensure we were okay or needed absolutely anything throughout the evening. The serving staff was prompt in refilling water, cleaning tables for the tapas, providing efficient bar service, and ensuring a flawless experience for everyone in attendance. It brings such warmth in our hearts to reflect on this process with Meson Sabika, and we give them the highest marks in all categories as a vendor, partner, event space, and most importantly customer experience – start to finish. We were planning our wedding in 6 months—without a planner—and holding it in mid-April, so we knew we needed a venue that made it as easy and seamless as possible for us, and also one that would work well regardless of weather. And we really wanted somewhere with great food and a beautiful setting! Meson Sabika was all these things, and more. Jessica was wonderful to work with throughout the planning process, and when our day rolled around we truly had nothing to worry about or do other than show up and celebrate with our friends and family. Everything ran so smoothly, and Jessica and the team made us feel so valued and celebrated—as soon as my husband and I entered the reception from our ceremony to see the gorgeous setup, they made sure we had drinks and food, and checked in with us throughout the night to make sure we had a chance to try all the food and drinks we wanted. We ended up lucking out and having summer-like weather in mid-April, which meant we could take advantage of the perfect patio and outdoor space—even in early spring, before all the flowers and greens have arrived, it was beautiful and so many guests commented on how beautiful the space and the grounds were, and of course how good the food and drinks were. Meson Sabika is a wonderful place to have a wedding! My husband and I chose this venue because of the unique setting on the grounds of a historic mansion, and their longtime experience of hosting weddings would hopefully make it less work for us... and it was! They have it down to a science over there. We worked with Jessica and Suzanne and they were responsive to emails and answered all of our questions in a timely manner. Their attitudes on the wedding day were upbeat and positive and created a really relaxing environment. Anka, the banquet captain, kept everything effortlessly running smoothly. When I think about the actual day, there was nothing I had to worry about and was able to just relax and enjoy the day. We had our ceremony in the Pradel Garden and it was so convenient for our guests to simply stroll over to the nearby Pavilion for the start of cocktail hour. Food and drinks were an area of importance to us and Meson Sabika stands out there as well. There are a variety of menu plans. You can do a traditional menu, a tapas menu, or a combination of both, which is what we did. We had so many compliments on the food! The bartenders kept the bar moving and there were never any lines. Also, a note that Meson Sabika has made a lot of cosmetic updates in the last year. The new floor and chairs modernizes the space and creates a wonderful neutral canvas for couples to bring their own style. Overall I would recommend this place to any bride looking to have a relaxed experience.

We were so happy with my daughter’s wedding reception at Meson Sabika! The venue was romantic and elegant! We served appetizers and Tapas for dinner. More than enough food . The room was definitely large enough for a 7 piece band (200 guest) in the middle of the room on the dance floor.. We were told from friends who had a wedding there that you needed to put the band in the corner. The staff knows what they are doing, and all our guests have been raving about the room, outdoor area and food!

We were so happy with my daughter’s wedding reception at Meson Sabika! The venue was romantic and elegant! We served appetizers and Tapas for dinner. More than enough food . The room was definitely large enough for a 7 piece band (200 guest) in the middle of the room on the dance floor.. We were told from friends who had a wedding there that you needed to put the band in the corner. The staff knows what they are doing, and all our guests have been raving about the room, outdoor area and food!

Meson Sabika is the BEST place to have a wedding. The location is perfect- right next to downtown Naperville and the grounds are gorgeous. Not to mention the event room is so beautiful. The ivory draping on the ceilings and crystal chandeliers are so beautiful and really make the space unique and perfect for a wedding. We had a New Year’s Eve wedding and it could not have been more perfect. Plus the food is AMAZING!! Everyone loved the tapas idea and it made it such a fun environment at dinner. We unfortunately had over 40 people cancel in a few day span 2 dahs before the wedding due to Omicron and the venue was so accommodating. They ended up only charging us for the final count we gave the day before the wedding which saved us thousands of dollars. We could not speak more highly about this gorgeous venue. We had the wedding of our dreams! Thank you Meson Sabika!

Katelyn as a planner was competent and organized and our banquet manager that night made sure the party kept moving and that my husband and I always had drinks in hand. I will start by saying the venue and food is five star no doubt! However, I was definitely disappointed by the service for the wedding and how we were treated. I had this venue booked for a year and had it not been for covid, I would have gone elsewhere. The WEEK of my wedding I was suddenly told I could not use the patio even after the planning had been taking place for that location for a year. After getting a hold of the owner, he was going to charge me more just to use the space I had already put a deposit on…strange but I was willing to do it. We were certainly sent lots of luck with tons of rain the day of and couldn’t use the outdoor space but the contract says we have until noon to decide but the planner was being very rude and demanded I had until 10 am to decide. She then never spoke or responded to another message from me after that. In addition, my poor baker had to scramble because the venue failed to confirm we were good with the license and were not replying to emails until the two days before despite being sent the information a week prior. They dropped the ball on so many areas it still upsets me. During our reception, someone approached my father-in-law to request the last of the payment! I was furious and it was so rude. It was early in the evening and the majority was paid in advance and they forgot to add it into my final bill which was interesting. I did appreciate the owner personally taking the cost off of the patio space but overall they were not all they claim to be. Beautiful space and great food. Thats all you’ll get so make sure you are clear on your wants. Ill be back to dine but never to have an event there again. You don’t get what you pay for.

I highly recommend using Meson Sabika for your wedding! Our day, like many, was affected by COVID. Because of this, we changed our plans for the day many times and Meson Sabika was always able to accommodate them even when we had to postpone the date by over 6 months. We had both our ceremony and reception at Meson Sabika and everything went great. There are so many places outside to take beautiful pictures and the food is incredible. The staff made sure everything ran smoothly and that any guests with food allergies were accommodated. We worked mostly with Natalie and she was amazing. Two weeks before the wedding we went over all the details with her and she thought of things that hadn’t even crossed my mind which helped me feel so much more prepared for the day. The day of our wedding, we had an issue with our shuttle bus and she completely took over and made sure it was handled and told us to just focus on enjoying our day. Meson Sabika is also affordable. I assumed it would be a lot more expensive to have an event there because they have such amazing food, but it really was not. There are also multiple ways to cut costs including their off-season discounts.

I can't begin to say enough amazing things about this venue, its food and its staff!!! I was supposed to have my wedding here May 22, 2020 but after postponing once we ended up having to cancel and move our wedding to a different state because of COVID restrictions. Long story short: I walked through the entire process of planning a wedding with Meson Sabika and although I couldn't end up having my big day there, I still have so many good things to say about this venue.1. The venue in and of itself is beautiful! The pavilion and mansion are gorgeous. I love the outside of the mansion (it would have been stunning for photos). They have little strung lights outside the pavilion for receptions when it gets dark and I thought that was lovely.2. The food is incredible!!!!! After studying abroad in Spain for a semester, I know what good Spanish food tastes like- and this is good Spanish food!!! Our tasting was SO fun and my parents and future in-laws were so impressed with the food!! We loved that the tapas style was different than your typical wedding meal and our guests would be able to try so many different foods! Even though we can't have our wedding there we DEFINITELY will be going back to eat!! (oh and they also have really really good Sangria :))3. The staff went above and beyond. We primarily worked with Katelyn and I cannot say enough great things about her. She knows her stuff!! She was so patient and flexible with us as we worked on our floor layout for the tables and chairs- she had it down to a science! I was most impressed with how Katelyn handled all of the COVID stress of rescheduling tons of weddings and dealing with frantic brides:) She handled every phone call with patience, grace and kindness. She was so good at communicating with us and always kept us up to date on changes/openings in the schedule as we worked on postponing our wedding. Ultimately, after almost 10 months of working with Katelyn/Meson Sabika we had to cancel our wedding at Meson because we decided to move it to a different state in order to have more people in attendance. The most impressive part of Meson Sabika was their understanding and kindness when we had to end up canceling. They were so gracious to us and it just made us love them all the more! Katelyn was so understanding and kind through it all!!Brides looking for a unique and beautiful venue with AMAZING food and a great staff to work with- please book here!! I wish more than ever I could have had my day here- but the least I can do is encourage you to!!!!

5 million stars over and over. From the start, Meson Sabika blew us away. For starters, the venue is so unique. The staff went above and beyond answering emails and phone calls at any hour of the day (and the occasional 11 pm email). We planned our wedding from a distance, but Katelyn, Katie, and Nic made it SO easy it was as if we were there. Oh my gosh don’t even get me started on the food. AH-mazing. Our guests continue to rave about their dishes. Then the day of was flawless...minus that sideways hail storm which occurred at 2 pm...right as we were supposed to do our first look at Meson Sabika. I will never forget Katie telling me it was too late to rearrange the reception hall and that we would move the ceremony to the dance floor. I remember the tears welling up and me shaking my head no. In that moment, Katie was my friend and not just staff. Before I could say anything she said to not worry and that the staff would make it work so we could have the ceremony inside by the beautiful windows instead of the dance floor. THEY ARE AMAZING. The rain blew through, the sun came out for cocktail hour, and no on even noticed the staff as the transitioned the floor yet again for the reception. I cannot say enough about Meson Sabika. Booking with them ensures that you will have the most perfect day. Thank you for everything!!!!

This was really one of the only venues that we seriously considered, and I am so glad that we were able to have our reception here!! It was BEAUTIFUL. The team made sure that our day met our needs, accommodating some unique dietary needs without fuss. People are still talking about the food, 6 weeks later. It was THAT good. The most important thing I can say as a bride was that they were DRAMA FREE. It is such a gorgeous venue and and the entire event staff is amazing. We started out working with primarily Julie Bell who was fantastic but left the position well in advance of our date. From there I worked closely with Katelyn Smith, Katie Williams, and Nick Vera who all manage weddings/events and the transition was so seamless. They are all experts at what they do and know how to make your dream wedding into a reality. During our final details appointment they asked me so many questions I hadn’t even thought of and truly helped make our wedding into the best day ever. I have so many good things to say about everyone we worked with at Meson Sabika. I sent hundreds of emails in the course of our planning process and I got a quick response back every time. We had a budget and decided to have our wedding during off season to help with some of the cost. There is a minimum and everyone worked with us to stay as close to that and as close to our budget as possible by offering tons of different options. This is the most amazing wedding venue! Katie and Nick were beyond amazing and helpful through out planning. ALL of our guests said this was the best food they've ever had at a wedding! My husband and I got married this past October and I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience was with Meson Sabika! It has been one of our favorite restaurants for years and we were thrilled at the opportunity to celebrate our reception there. The pavillion and grounds are beautiful and made a lovely backdrop for pictures and for the evening. The pavillion and surrounding areas are already so gorgeous you barely need any additional decorations. The food was delicious and just as high quality made for 250 as it is when you dine at the restaurant. Our family and friends are STILL talking about how good the food was and how many options we had. Many people have told me it's the best food they've ever had at a wedding. The late night taco bar was a huge hit!! It was also one of the most financially friendly places we looked at, which made the whole experience even better! Julie is/was/forever shall be AMAZING!! She answered all of my emails/questions/calls promptly and was so helpful and reassuring throughout the whole process. Her attitude is amazing and it was more like working with a friend who is genuinely invested in making sure the day is perfect. She even showed up and guest bar tended for a bit at our wedding! The quality service absolutely extends beyond your wedding day and really helps show how much Meson Sabika appreciates the people who choose to celebrate their weddings there. My husband and I received a gift certificate in the mail several months later inviting us to celebrate our first anniversary at Meson Sabika and when we went there for Valentine's Day we ran into Julie (and several other recently married Meson Sabika couples!) and she gave us our first drinks complimentary. Overall, it was an amazing experience and I couldn't have asked for a better wedding or venue. I would HIGHLY recommend Meson Sabika for an absolutely incredible wedding experience that you and your guests will be talking about for a long time to come.

We got married (ceremony and reception) in the pavilion of Meson Sabika one week ago today! I wanted a unique venue that wasn't just a banquet room of a hotel. The pavilion at Meson Sabika was the perfect location. The glass windows on three sides were perfect and because of the date (12-31) there were still white lights outside in the trees, making for the perfect ambiance. As soon as we got engaged, on 12-31-15, I started looking for unique venues that were available on 12-31-16 since I knew I wanted to get married on New Year's Eve. When we went to visit the venue on 1-9-16, we booked on the spot. Not only is it more reasonably priced than anywhere else in the Chicagoland area, but we knew after meeting with Julie that day, that she was someone we could spend the next year planning with. Like all other reviews have said, Julie and Katie respond extremely promptly to every email sent. Sometimes within minutes and even on the weekends! I felt like I asked a million questions and every single time, they answered pleasantly and promptly. We met with Julie a few weeks before the wedding to talk through details and we felt that she was extremely thorough and on top of everything. We had hired a day of coordinator and the day of the wedding, everything went so smoothly we never even had to worry about a thing. The head banquet person had met with Julie and was aware of all of the specific things about our day. We were able to change our head count even a few days before the wedding when an additional guest was added. The food was awesome and we had so many compliments since it was not your typical chicken or beef meal that you usually get at a wedding. We chose the tapas menu, but added and substituted a few things without a problem. The banquet staff was fabulous and kind to us and all of our guests. It was the perfect place to have a wedding and the perfect place to ring in the new year. We appreciate everything that every employee did to make our day perfect!

Meson Sabika was an absolute dream. We worked alongside Julie Bell and her colleague Katie for wedding planning purposes-- they were both incredible but we did mainly work with Julie. We had a gorgeous reception and wedding photo shoot at Meson Sabika and the surrounding pavilion. The staff members were patient, professional, and kind. There were a few hiccups regarding a deluxe sweets table that didn't turn out as planned, but Meson Sabika corrected this mistake professionally, graciously & were just plain lovely about making things right with us. Julie called us this morning, just two days after our event, to check on us and to make sure we were happy with our experience. I would recommend this venue to anyone who is looking for the perfect combination between small/intimate restaurant reception and spanish glamour/ballroom reception. It was PERFECT. They are so open and approachable that I always felt I could reach out to them with any questions or ideas, and on top of that, I got a response within 24 hours every time. They are so organized and made the day perfect down to every last detail. I would recommend Meson Sabika to ANYONE because we are so very happy with how special our day was! Also, the food is absolutely amazing-everyone complimented us on how unique and filling the food was!

My wedding was truly magical. I am still reeling by how amazing everything was. (almost a week ago). Several of our guests were coming up to us throughout the wedding and for days after exclaiming that it was the best wedding they'd ever been to! I think the excellent food had a lot to do with it! My favorite thing about having my wedding in the Pavilion was the big open windows. So many banquet halls feel like dark dank caves, but the Pavilion has large windows through which you could see trees and the garden. It really makes a huge difference.Our ceremony was in the garden just east of the Mansion, and it was even more beautiful than I had pictured. The grounds are so gorgeous, and made for great pictures!As for the planning process, Katie and Julie were super helpful the entire time. They always got back to me quickly and answered my questions thoroughly. Meeting with them was always a delight, and they made the planning process EASY and enjoyable. The ceremony and reception both ran very smoothly. I do not have one critique!Our wedding was a little unique in that we had several small children in attendance, about 10 between the ages of 1 and 12. They have great children's menu options, and were willing to let me use the bridal ready room as the \"kids\" room. I was so happy that they were so accommodating to our friend's kids. They are special to us, and we wanted them treated well! Other venues are not so kid-friendly, but Meson Sabika was wonderful to us and our little guys :)

Meson Sabika is the perfect venue!!!From the first moment that we saw Meson Sabika even before we were engaged, we knew that we wanted to have our wedding there. Both of them get back to us with any questions we had right away. My husband and I are Bulgarian and we wanted to incorporate some our traditional wedding customs during the reception and both girls went above and beyond to try to accommodate us.-The ambiance in the Pavilion is as if you are in an outdoor tent with all the windows, but instead of bugs and heat and humidity you are comfortably indoors. The ceiling draperies and amazing chandeliers bring in the fairy tale to live. -The food at Meson Sabika's large events is the same as it is at their restaurant. When you are having the kitchen prepare such large quantities of food, you assume that maybe the quality will suffer, but there is no such a thing with Meson Sabika. AMAZING! My husband and I had dined at Meson Sabika many times before selecting the location for our wedding reception. It was always in the back of our minds that our reception would be held there and I am so glad it was. We worked primarily with Julie, who was simply amazing. She answered emails so fast, offered tons of help and assistance and really made sure you feel confident and prepared going into the wedding day. I was mostly worried about not being able to set up the reception the day of but I provided detailed directions and they were followed so well. So delicious and theres nothing better than a wedding with good food. The events coordinators are so easy to work with. We were just married less than 3 weeks ago - and had our reception at Meson Sabika. I honestly do not even know where to begin, to sing our praises for not only Meson Sabika itself (it is such a gorgeous venue!) but for the team at Meson Sabika as well. \r\rWhile we did not have wedding planners for our big dey (my husband and I were responsible for all our wedding planning and budgets), I swear that the service that Meson Sabika provided us, made us FEEL like we had not just 1, but 2 wedding planners on our side!\r\rFrom the first day we met with the team, to tour the Pavillion, we were treated with such care. No detail was too small and they anticipated every single one of our questions and concerns. The team was incredibly professional but also kind, approachable, saavy, and sweet! It was quickly apparent that we were not just a number to Meson Sabika, but that we were like family.\r\rThe reception itself was flawless. All our plans were executed exactly as we discussed. One great thing about Meson Sabika is they ask a lot of questions (questions we never even thought to ask) which made us feel very taken care of. And after asking questions, they made schedules, charts, etc. to make our plans crystal-clear. For a bride trying to juggle it all - that was an incredible service!\r\rApart from the planning aspect, the venue is gorgeous with large chandeliers from the ceiling and huge windows wrapping around the pavilion. The food (the initial reason we choose Meson Sabika) was delicious (many guests have reached out to us since the wedding to say the food they had was the best food they have ever had at a wedding). We choose the \"Tapas-Traditional\" option - with a cocktail hour followed by tapas served (in place of appetizers or a salad), then entrees to follow. \r\rOverall, it was an incredible experience working with Meson Sabika. And if we had to plan a wedding all over again (thank goodness we don't, lol), we'd pick Meson Sabika in a second!\r

We were just married less than 3 weeks ago - and had our reception at Meson Sabika. I honestly do not even know where to begin, to sing our praises for not only Meson Sabika itself (it is such a gorgeous venue!) but for the team at Meson Sabika as well. \r\rWhile we did not have wedding planners for our big dey (my husband and I were responsible for all our wedding planning and budgets), I swear that the service that Meson Sabika provided us, made us FEEL like we had not just 1, but 2 wedding planners on our side!\r\rFrom the first day we met with the team, to tour the Pavillion, we were treated with such care. No detail was too small and they anticipated every single one of our questions and concerns. The team was incredibly professional but also kind, approachable, saavy, and sweet! It was quickly apparent that we were not just a number to Meson Sabika, but that we were like family.\r\rThe reception itself was flawless. All our plans were executed exactly as we discussed. One great thing about Meson Sabika is they ask a lot of questions (questions we never even thought to ask) which made us feel very taken care of. And after asking questions, they made schedules, charts, etc. to make our plans crystal-clear. For a bride trying to juggle it all - that was an incredible service!\r\rApart from the planning aspect, the venue is gorgeous with large chandeliers from the ceiling and huge windows wrapping around the pavilion. The food (the initial reason we choose Meson Sabika) was delicious (many guests have reached out to us since the wedding to say the food they had was the best food they have ever had at a wedding). We choose the \"Tapas-Traditional\" option - with a cocktail hour followed by tapas served (in place of appetizers or a salad), then entrees to follow. \r\rOverall, it was an incredible experience working with Meson Sabika. And if we had to plan a wedding all over again (thank goodness we don't, lol), we'd pick Meson Sabika in a second!\r

Working with Julie and Kate was a real pleasure because they took such great care of us throughout the planning process, and Bianca was wonderful to work with the day of. The ladies are so attentive, replied to emails promptly and always very friendly, and paid attention to every detail of our wedding reception. They really know how to run the show over there, and we were never left feeling worried about how things would turn out. The food was simply amazing, and our guests were so pleasantly surprised to have a really good meal at a wedding reception. The Pavillion is just stunning. We had 185 guests, and the ambiance was still very intimate because we weren't sharing the space with anyone else. The grounds are also beautiful, and we were able to get some amazing photos by their gorgeous cherry blossom tree. The owner of the restaurant also took the time to stop by and make sure we were well taken care of on the wedding day which we really appreciated. The best part of all of this was that our guests genuinely had a fantastic time - the venue is easy to locate, parking lot is on site, there is a gorgeous patio that was private to us for our guests to use during the cocktail hour and reception. You will absolutely not get this experience anywhere else in the western suburbs or the city. Meson Sabika truly is a gem and we are so happy we booked with them!

We booked this venue 14 months in advance and were extremely pleased with the help along the way in planning our event. We were very happy with how everything turned out. The only two things that could have been done to cause us to rate it a 5 would be (1) for the staff to have pointed out the ability to send home box dinners for the few guests that were last minute no shows. We had to figure this out ourselves. And (2)some extra effort to point out the desert and coffee table to our guests would have been nice as well. Alot of guests commented after the reception that they didn't know there was a premium desert table available! But otherwise all was great! Thank you so much for a memorable event!

We held our reception in the Pavillion at Meson Sabika. Everyone there was great to work with and the food was out of this world! Our guests loved everything and had a great time. I marked Meson down on Service a bit for two reasons:\r1. They did not return our toasting flutes to us--which we talked about ahead of time and stopped by (out of our way) the day after our reception to grab any items left behind. I emailed them and they were found, so that's good news!\r2. We had two boxes of place cards and apparently the second set was not placed out so a few guests, the bridal party, and a few vendors did not have place cards. this was super frustrating because they are SO STRICT on seating/portioning for Tapas. You're required to also give them a list of teh seating chart, but they did not use it to help our misplaced guests find their seats.\rOverall, a good experience. They welcomed my feedback and were pretty great. They also have a cash discount which was fantastic!

Meson Sabika is an amazing restaurant, if you haven't eaten there yet I insist that after you read this you go. Right after. After you eat the food you will know why you MUST have your wedding here. Unless you want to serve everyone steak and chicken and soup and a salad (which probably has like a raspberry vinaigrette on it cause that's totally original) like you've had at the last 6 weddings you've been to, this is the ONLY way to go.\r From the first meeting with the coordinator Meson was very helpful and made the process very easy. No lagging or lack of communication. All our questions and concerns (will there be enough food??) were handled right away and the whole planning phase was very very easy. Pricing is equal to if not better than what you get for your standard wedding meals, but with much much more memorable food. \r We used the pavilion for our ceremony/reception as the mansion would have been too small for our needs (185 people). The pavilion is beautiful and located right next to the mansion. It's windows all the way around that let in so much light that it makes the space even nicer. We had planned on having the ceremony in the courtyard out front, but due to weather that wasn't possible. Our ceremony was held inside the pavilion instead and it was very nice. The tables had been moved to the side to allow for seating and after the ceremony the staff had the dining reset in no time flat. No guests were inconvenienced, there was no standing around waiting, no confusion whatsoever. We had 185 people and no one was shoved around or crowded while waiting for the change over.\r Dinner was, as always, amazing. A lot of the people we know don't even know what tapas is or what Spanish food is like. This was not a problem. All night long and everyone we've spoken to afterward have all raved about the food. A family member who's paid for 3 (not cheap) weddings in the last 6 years said multiple times to several people \"Best food I've ever had at a wedding\". That was our sentiment as well. \r There was a minor issue with bar closing time toward the end of the night, but that was swiftly corrected. The experience was from start to finish amazing. Everyone involved in the planning and everyone at the ceremony/reception were extremely helpful. Having your wedding at Meson is one that is guaranteed to be remembered by you and your guests for a very long time.

Overall, I have an okay impression of Meson Sabika despite some problems the day of the wedding. Throughout the planning process, the event coordinator was so helpful and flexible. For example, I had an alcohol-free wedding, and she gladly shaved $10 off per plate because of it (I know some venues that wouldn't do that). As another example, they had another rule that there had to be 10 people per table, but they gladly changed it to 9 because I had a smaller wedding and wanted the room to be filled up more nicely. In general, they really allow you to personalize the wedding to make it fit your budget and needs. \r\rNow, the day of the wedding started off disastrously. I was doing all my own centerpieces and so the agreement LISTED ON OUR CONTRACT was that I would show up at 11am for set up. I showed up at 11am to find that the people from the previous night's wedding had not picked up their stuff, and that the event coordinator of the day (NOT the one I'd been working with the whole past year, by the way) had not even called the family! I would have expected that if the family had said they would be there at 10am to pick up their belongings and by 10:30 they hadn't showed up, the event coordinator would call them up and let them know the next party would be there in 30 mins to set up their stuff! There were over 40 huge vases filled with flowers, about 100 wedding favors, and five tables FILLED with stuff (the wedding before was a 300 person affair). They left huge boxes filled with decorations (it was military wedding, so lots of large posters about guns/military), the carpet was filthy, there were wrappers from the candy bar (which was still set up) all over the place. The bathroom was disgusting and the event coordinator was cold and unhelpful. So, even though I had VERY limited time to set up the centerpieces with my bridal party (11-1 so that I could go home and get ready), I spent over an hour cleaning up the previous wedding! This was NOT how I wanted my wedding day to start out. They had 1 employee helping us carry everything, but that's IT. The coordinator had completely disappeared and was barely available for questions or concerns (and did not help with picking up the wedding either). In response to the extreme dirtiness of the place, they assured me that they would clean the venue at 2pm so that it was \"fresh\" for the reception and I said fine. But, when I showed up at 4:30 for pictures, the bridal suite was STILL dirty (including poop stains on the toilet which I had specifically requested they clean when I came in earlier). As guests arrived, the event captain was still rushing around trying to light the candles. It was truly an awful start, but to be fair, the rest of the event went by flawlessly. Our event captain was extremely helpful, the guys at the drink bar were hilarious and so helpful. Best of all, the food was incredible and all of my guests were completely satisfied with their meal. Despite the disaster start, by the way, they did not take anything off of our bill which was disappointing. \r\rIn the future, I hope that Meson Sabika will work on increasing communication among their event coordinators to ensure that these communication failures do not happen again. It definitely put a damper on the day to have it start off in crisis-intervention mode.

We held our reception in the Pavillion at Meson Sabika in Naperville. Leading up to the event, the event coordinators, while busy, were very responsive and happy to work with us. The room is beautiful and PERFECT for a wedding around 200, though you can fit up to 250 without putting tables on the dance floor. \r\rI think the most notable thing about Meson is their food. We've eaten in their restaurant for years but I was a bit nervous how it would come out when made in bulk for a banquet. Honestly - I couldn't tell a difference. Every dish that came out was absolutely excellent. I haven't talked to one person who didn't love our tapas dinner. It was different, memorable, and delicious!

We held our reception in the Pavillion at Meson Sabika in Naperville. Leading up to the event, the event coordinators, while busy, were very responsive and happy to work with us. The room is beautiful and PERFECT for a wedding around 200, though you can fit up to 250 without putting tables on the dance floor. \r\rI think the most notable thing about Meson is their food. We've eaten in their restaurant for years but I was a bit nervous how it would come out when made in bulk for a banquet. Honestly - I couldn't tell a difference. Every dish that came out was absolutely excellent. I haven't talked to one person who didn't love our tapas dinner. It was different, memorable, and delicious!

We wouldn't change a thing about our wedding day - especially our decision to have it at Meson Sabika. We had gone to the restaurant over the years for special occasions so we already knew the quality of the food we would be getting. \r\rPeople couldn't stop talking about how good the food was, how fun it was to have so many options (we did the family style tapas), and what a gorgeous venue it was. \r\rThe customer service we experienced was way above and beyond what we had even expected. They were extremely accommodating and made sure each of our guests were taken care of. We even had a family member not tell us that she was allergic to garlic until we were just about to sit down for dinner - this was no problem for the Meson Sabika staff. They made a special plate of food just for her that didn't contain any garlic. We also received many compliments from our friends and family that are vegetarians. They told us that they had never been provided with such delicious and complete meals at an event before (it was way more than a few vegetables)\r\rThe wedding planner staff was also extremely friendly, helpful and accommodating. They always answered our calls and emails promptly and with the information we were requesting.\r\rA few months after the wedding, my husband and I came to the restaurant for a nice dinner with friends. The wait staff ended up being one of the main waiters from our wedding. He recognized us and welcomed us back. He even brought us a complementary dessert! We will absolutely be returning here again and again.

I initially chose Meson Sabika because of the delicious food and the beautiful decor in the pavilion. The pavilion on its own is so beautiful that my centerpieces and flowers were simply accenting the room itself, which took pressure off me and my decorating skills. The food certainly met and exceeded my expectations, delicious as always. I was also impressed by all the small extra ways that the event planners showed that they were truly invested in making my reception a success. As a small example, we ended up having more table runners from the linen company so one of the event planners went around using them as additional accent decorations, around the cake table and the chairs at the head table. I highly recommend using Meson Sabika for any size party.

My husband & I got married in their garden and had our reception in their pavilion. I loved the pavilion because of all of the windows and lovely ceilings. The staff was easy to work with and very accommodating to us on our special day. It was perfect and we even got to take some artsy pictures inside the mansion as well. Food was unforgettable and delicious.

Meson Sabika is a spectacular venue to have a ceremony and reception. The grounds of this restored mansion are beautiful with the option to have a ceremony in either their garden by a gazebo, or on the cobblestone in front of the mansion by a fountain. They have a pavilion that was built on the grounds recently that is beautiful! The chandeliers and drapery on the ceiling gives a very elegant feel, and the built in dance floor is a plus! The bar is built into the wall of the kitchen, so there is a ton of space in this place with even a powdering suite with a private bathroom for the bride.\r\rThe staff is awesome at their job, and Victor is a great server/bartender. Everyone kept coming up to me telling me how great the food and staff were to them because they were extremely accommodating. \r\rThe events department was available to me every day for questions and concerns and Lauren did a great job at explaining the prices and what comes with each package.\r\rAll in all, my husband and I were extremely satisfied and happy about our decision of Meson Sabika. It has been a month since our wedding and people are still talking about how much fun and beautiful everything was!

Meson sabika was excellent. They were truly on point with everything and the day of staff was truly amazing into how accomdating they were. The only thing that was a bit of a downfall, is that when I presented my proposed layout, the coordinator wanted something else, I assume because it would look different and perhaps better to her opinion. We went with some of her suggestions, but not all. I know they make recommendations based on experience, but I had a vision for what I wanted and though it wasn't exact, I do have to say that I was quite pleased with the outcome.

New info: After our wedding the owner of Meson Sabika called us to discuss what had happened in our wedding planning process. He did not know about a lot of what we went through and was absolutely sincere, felt awful and wanted to make it right with us. We had dinner with him about two months after the wedding and he told us there were changes in the management staff already and newly implemented weekly meetings between the event staff, restaurant staff, and the owner. There are also steps in place now to make sure things that happened to us never happen again. I do feel he was sincere about feeling sorry for what we went through and he definitely took measures to make sure it will never happen again. I would recommend them and say this, if there is ever trouble, call the owner, he really does care and he will make sure you are taken care of. \r\rMy original post: Let me start off with the good: absolutely amazing \"day of\" service. The bartenders, wait staff, crew, everyone were absolutely top notch. Melanie and Bianca know how to take care of people and deserve a raise. If it weren't for them this place would have gotten 0 stars. The food was also great. Here's is the awful though- every single thing leading up to the wedding was unorganized and a huge headache. They double booked our original date, after taking our money of course. (We had to push our wedding back. And I know that may not be the biggest of deals, but I am in school out of the country and that week actually screwed us a bit. I had to go back to school late.) They couldn't find our contract, all the way up until a month before the wedding. Their responses via e-mail were always late and inconsistent. Once I got two e-mails from two people about the same question I asked, with different answers. They also never remembered anything they had told us before. When I talked to the MANAGER of the events department, someone who should know what is going on, she gave me information I already knew to be wrong, so when I said to her, \"No, you already told me differently.\" She replied she had been out of the office for a few days and had to double check. Really? A few days? That shouldn't matter if you know what has been going on for months in your facility. Information kept changing on us as well. Things we were told were ok at our first meeting later became \"well maybe\" and then became flat out no's. Which is fine if things can't be done, but tell us that in the first place. The worst was the rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding. We had double confirmed everything both in person and via e-mail. We showed up and no one in the restaurant had any clue we were coming, the pavillion which we were PROMISED access to was locked, and we were told we couldn't get in there because it was already set for an event the next morning! No one there cared whatsover and of course, no one from the events department was there. It really made my finace and I feel like we weren't a big enough dollar amount wedding to them for them to care about us. And let me tell you, they are not cheap, not by any means. But because we didn't do any extra special frills or add-ons and were only about a 140 person group, we weren't worth their effort to pay attention to and treat us right. I was truthfully expecting a very poorly put together wedding day and was surprised and unbelievably relieved that it went so smoothly.
