Situated in the heart of Memphis, Tennessee, the Metal Museum is a scenic wedding venue. Nestled on the Mississippi River, this venue invites you to celebrate in its atmosphere of intimacy. It sits just south of Memphis’ downtown area and so maintains a sense of vibrancy alongside its position surrounded by nature. The grounds are dotted with century-old trees for an elegant backdrop to your wedding. This venue offers numerous outdoor sites for ceremonies and receptions, alongside pre-wedding gatherings like engagement parties and rehearsal dinners. It also welcomes elopements, for more intimate gatherings.
Facilities and Capacity
The Metal Museum offers a unique space in its gazebo, which is constructed of historic casings. It can be used as a ceremony site or a focal point throughout your day. The river bluff terrace can be tented for shelter from the weather, and it can comfortably accommodate up to 300 guests. In the past, couples have carefully planned their ceremonies to take place as the sun sets over the Mississippi River for an unforgettable celebration of your love. For larger celebrations, all of the grounds are available for you to reserve for your wedding day. These can then be tented and can fit up to 800 people. Some of this space can also be used as a dance floor, so you can dance the night away. Parking is available for your guests’ convenience.
Services Offered
Rental rates for the Metal Museum include the attendance of a staff member to ensure your use of the property runs smoothly. Across its numerous acres, the grounds contain a sculpture garden which you are welcome to browse and use for wedding photos. Should you wish, you can arrange for bar service to attend your reception, perfect for if you are hoping for a sophisticated cocktail hour. The team welcomes you to choose your vendors from their list of trusted businesses to complement your vision for the day.

The museum is conveniently located in the city of Memphis. A selection of hotels is close at hand, for those who need somewhere to stay. If you have guests flying in from out of state, Memphis International Airport is less than a 20-minute drive away.
I can not say enough good things about The Metal Museum! They went above and beyond to take care of our daughter's special day! The view was spectacular and the vendors suggested that we used were wonderful! Reviewed on 24-09-2021
Michelle Moreau(parent)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-03-2019 We absolutely loved having the wedding at the Metal Museum. We rented the library so the bride and her ladies could get dresses in there. The grounds were beautiful and everyone commented on how it was the perfect wedding. The reason I am giving it 3 stars instead of 5 is because our full clean-up deposit was NOT refunded. We were told there were glasses and bottles left along the walk outside the gates and there was a broken bottle and a syringe on the overlook. I personally toured the grounds before leaving (only the venders were left) and picked up all glasses, bottles, and trash. There was nothing left. The party planners went after me and made sure nothing was left. There were some dried flowers on the floor in the library, however, when I asked the museum employee if there was a broom to sweep it up, she said not to worry about it they had someone that came in to do that. With this said, it all boils down to \"he said, she said\". I would suggest very strongly if you are having a wedding at this venue, take video of before and after for both the rehearsal and the wedding. This way you get your clean-up deposit back. Had we left a mess, I would gladly take responsibility and leave it as it, but we did not. THIS is the ONLY reason this location gets 3 stars from me. Reviewed on 11-04-2019
Melissa Therrien(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-10-2018 This location was amazing! Views were breathtaking, they even ran a special that included a tent! The only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 was that the mosquitoes were terrible since it was still so warm for October and the staff used our tables and chairs that we paid for and were responsible for without our permission. Overall though the staff was wonderful, they let us visit and plan as much as we wanted and the location on the river couldn't have been more beautiful! Would highly recommend this venue!! Kelly Nagle(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 29-10-2011 The museum grounds are a great place to have your ceremony and reception. We loved the open feel, heated tent, and view of the Mississippi River. And we were able to use the museum's fire pit to roast s'mores. It was great fun, and well worth the price! Stephanie Berish(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-09-2011 I love the Metal Museum and it has always been a very special place to me. Getting married there was an easy choice and everyone loved how scenic it is!\r\rThe sunset is beautiful and the ground are amazing. Right on the bluff overlooking the river and the old bride. \r\rThe contact there, Judy, is so sweet and wonderful. She's great at answering questions and giving you all the information you need. \r\rThe only stipulation is that if you rent tent/table/chairs, they have to be from Mahaffey tents. However they are also great and have a lot of options. \r\rOverall it is a wonderful place to get married. And it's also great in it's own right. Everyone should go visit at least once! (But you will want to come back) Reviewed on 30-09-2011
