Middle Fork Barn is the perfect location for your upcoming wedding! The gorgeous hemlock barn is located on our family farm and has a beautiful rural setting. It has 3000 sq. ft. and overlooks the Blue Ridge Mountains. The barn opens out on two sides to an additional 1500 sq. ft. under covered porches with breathtaking views. We have several outside ceremony locations to choose from for the best spot for your romantic wedding! The barn can also accommodate an inside wedding if desired. The venue is beautiful. Suzanne (Owner) was wonderful to work with. Very accommodating. My daughters was on a Sunday and there was a wedding there the night before, so they gave us a weekday to use for rehearsal, dinner and just to get prepared for her big day. The place was clean and well prepared for us. I will recommend this venue again and again!

Middle Fork Barn was the second venue we toured and our last! We fell in love with the location and how classic the entire venue looks. We planned our entire wedding from Pennsylvania so it was hard to imagine what everything would look like on the day of. Once all of our decorations were put in place, the barn sparkled even more! It rained on our wedding day so the entire ceremony was inside, but it was still incredibly beautiful and romantic. Every single guest complimented the location and its beautiful ceremony. Suzanne was always available via email to answer emails and super sweet to work with

Middle Fork Barn did not disappoint in allowing our wedding dreams to come true. Our 2020 wedding had many obstacles presented; but the wedding venue had responses to them all…COVID 19, rain, electricity outage. Suzanne was very accommodating in postponing our Memorial Day wedding to amid-August wedding; but I’d like to think that the spacious indoor-sitting and covered porch areas were very helpful in providing the appropriate COVID 19 social distancing. The day of the wedding was heavy rains; but again the covered porches not only served half of our guests dining area, but we were also able to establish appetizer tables and bar out there too so we could perform the wedding inside. A couple hours before the wedding, the site lost electricity, but Suzanne brought by some candles, a generator and timely phone calls to the electric company so that our wedding could go on without a hitch. DJ, caterer, bar tender had plenty of space to provide their special touches too. We also lived streamed the ceremony since many loved ones were unable to attend. WIFI is at the site (even though we started by using a guests’ hot spot while electricity off.) The views at the venue are breathtaking on a rainy or sunny day!

Middle Fork Barn is absolutely breath taking! The barn sits above the road and above some houses making the view even more beautiful to be able to see the mountains in the distance. It is the PERFECT venue for any wedding! We had around 150-180 guests. We decorated with very few pieces due to the barn being so beautiful. Suzanne is absolutely wonderful to work with! She helped us out in more ways than one. I absolutely recommend choosing Middle Fork Barn for any wedding!

She was flexible in showing us the venue and offered great suggestions for vendors. Middle Fork Barns was the perfect venue for my husband and I. We had a little under 200 guests with a rustic, laid back theme. The barn is gorgeous, with few decorations needed. It has a full kitchen for catering usage and bulb lights strung from the ceiling. The owner is amazing and so kind. She is very easy to work with and will do anything for you. She includes chairs and tables for up to 160 guests along with a wedding arbor. The venue includes bridal and groom suites with AC which we loved to get ready in. The venue has indoor and outdoor space to have ceremony/reception so there is no need to worry about if it rains on your big day. The barn has AC which is a MUST if you get married in summer. There is also a fire pit and plenty of space for photo booths /DJ if you choose these amenities. The scenery surrounding the venue is phenomenal for photography. If you are looking for a reasonably priced venue and a stress free weekend, look no further. We can't say enough great things about the owner and venue.

Beautiful venue and surroundings. It is unfortunate that the owners are very insistent upon complaining about music/DJ noise levels. I find it highly unlikely noise can be heard at their home which is far away from the barn when people at the venue can carry on a conversation and hear one another over the music. Yet, the venue owners made 2 noise complaint calls and a sent a text to the Dj. I have later learned that this has happened to others patrons of this venue. The reception was to be finished by 10 pm but with the music complaints many guest were gone by 7pm. It is my opinion that when ones special day is to be held at a venue such as this ,the owner should give consideration to the fact that this space has been rented for the purpose of celebration. * PLEASE BE AWARE * When previewing this venue be sure to discuss the restrictions as well as the probability you WILL receive complaints about noise levels from the owner. There are other similar venues that will allow your special occasion more consideration.

My fiancé and I fell in love with the venue, just by the pictures. As soon as we seen it, we emailed to find out if our date was available, and check on pricing. Our date was opened and the price was right. However, I had one more detail I felt I needed to share with the owners. Sadly, many venues are not accepting of same sex marriage, this is one of them. Suzanne put it as “No, we only do traditional weddings here.” I respect people’s opinions, and beliefs, I appreciate diversity, however, this, to me, is discrimination. I wanted to leave this review in case any other same sex couples find this venue, they will know not to get their hopes up. This is very unfortunate. Again, I can respect their decision, but I’m going to also let everyone know mine.

We were lucky to find this venue and recommend it to anyone looking for a venue in that area.

My husband and I got married here this past June, and our wedding was everything we’ve ever wanted and more. Suzanne, the owner, is fantastic to work with. She tries to make everything perfect for your day. The bridal suite and groomsman louge were great, even for our large wedding party. We held the ceremony outside, and we couldn’t have asked for more beautiful views. The reception was held inside the barn and on the covered porch, we had enough room for everyone and then some. I would highly reccomend Middle Fork Barn to anyone!

She tries to make everything perfect for your day. The bridal suite and groomsman louge were great, even for our large wedding party. You’ll be grateful if you book Middlefork Barn for your event! Our wedding day, on May 6, 2018, started out iffy on the weather, but despite rain before the wedding ceremony, we were still able to hold it outdoors and have the reception inside and out. Even in the rain Middlefork Barn is gorgeous and comfortable. The views are picture perfect! We had a little over 200 attend and had 3 tables outside on the patio/porch area under the roof so we could have a small dance floor inside. The brides room upstairs held all of us for getting dressed...myself, 9 attendants and my mom. But the best part of Middlefork Barn is getting to work with Suzanne Orfield. She is a wealth of information on how to best utilize the space so ask her questions. She is prompt and helpful. She wants your event to be perfect. She is a true joy to work with.We used every aspect of the barn... The arbor: which we decorated with an artificial 12 ft garland decorated with fresh flowers and  eucalyptusThe fire-pit: which we surrounded with the three wooden church pews at the barnChairs, tables and the linens: we used every one. We even brought in extra chairs and tables but did not use them in the end. Not everyone sat at a table the entire time. The damage deposit, which we got back in full, covered the cost of Suzanne getting the linens cleaned. So there were no extra  costs after the wedding.We used MaggieSmithphotography.com and the photos she got were literally magazine worthy! We give Middlefork Barn our highest recommendation and will not hesitate to return for any other event we have. Don’t hesitate to book Middlefork Barn for your event!

The Middle Fork Barn was the choice of our daughter and son-in-law for their beautiful Fall wedding. They visited many venues all over the tri-cities area and none compared to this venue after touring it. They knew right away that this was the venue that they wanted for their special day. As the mother of the bride, I was very involved with the planning of the wedding and met with Suzanne on a couple of occasions in preparation for the big day. Suzanne was very helpful and very informative with the scheduling process and with things that needed to be done prior to the wedding. The venue itself is breathtaking and the views of the mountains surrounding the barn are amazing. With an outdoor wedding, you never know what to expect with the weather and always hope for a beautiful sunny day, which we were blessed to have, but we felt more confident about this big day knowing that the barn was equipped and large enough to have the ceremony inside if necessary. As far as the reception in the barn, it was perfect. We loved the fact that the tables and linens were provided and that was one thing that we did not have to add to the list of many items that we had to make sure we had on hand. The Orfields have a beautiful venue and we would recommend it to anyone that is planning an outdoor or barn wedding. Many wonderful memories were made at the Middle Fork Barn that we will have with us forever.

Our daughter's wedding at Middle Fork was like a dream come true from start to finish. Suzanne was incredibly generous and patient in answering all of questions and seeing to our every need. The barn is gorgeous and exceeds every expectation, but that VIEW!!! There is no greater design than God's beauty. Middle Fork is positioned right in the middle of His majesty. It is perfect.

Our daughter's wedding at Middle Fork was like a dream come true from start to finish. Suzanne was incredibly generous and patient in answering all of questions and seeing to our every need. The barn is gorgeous and exceeds every expectation, but that VIEW!!! There is no greater design than God's beauty. Middle Fork is positioned right in the middle of His majesty. It is perfect.

My husband and I had been engaged 6 years before actually tying the knot and one of the biggest reasons was because we could never find a venue that just took our breathe away. There were several that checked a few of our boxes but not one that checked them all until we found the Barn. The Middle Fork Barn is stunning on the inside with all the exposed wood and lighting. The bridal suite has everything you could ask for. The groomsmen quarters got finished right before our wedding which was amazing! The guys loved their own place to hang out! We used the area beside of the quarters for corn hole for them! The views from the barn are like a dream. The setting is beyond perfect for pictures. You honestly could not ask for any better but it kept getting better. Especially with Suzanne. There was not one time I could not shoot Suzanne a message about anything no matter what it was and she was ready and willing to help me. She was so accommodating with all of my requests. Something that really stuck with me and will with all you other brides out there is every time I was stressed or unsure Suzanne would always say I just went through this with my daughter so here's what I learned. It literally never failed I felt instantly better. All the check lists she made to make it easier and all of the extras she kept on site that we where guaranteed to forget like a first aid kit. It's those little things along with the venue itself that made this a no brainer. Thank you for making my dreams come true Suzanne!

Middle Fork Barn is an absolutely georgous venue!! Pictures end up being breath taking by the view. The barn is amazing and has everything you could ask for. The owners of the venue is extremely kind and helpful during the entire wedding planning process. I could not have been any more thankful and blessed to been able to have our wedding day at such a wonderful, beautiful location.

Meet the Middle Fork Barn, LLC Team
Mark and Suzanne Orfield (Owner) We built our barn in early 2016 on our 140 acre cattle farm when our daughter got engaged. Hers was the first wedding in May 2016. It was a beautiful and enchanting event! We wanted others to enjoy the gorgeous views so we decided to rent it as a wedding venue. Come and see in person what your wedding day can be!
