Situated in Milford, NH, Mile Away Restaurant is a wedding venue offering outdoor tented events from May to October and indoor gatherings all year round. With three acres of gardens, a picturesque quarry fountain, and a winding arbor path, this is undoubtedly a venue right out of a fairy tale. Boasting a 4,000 square foot Century Tent for your reception, your loved ones should fit comfortably beneath its sloping sides. There is also a 1,600 square foot ceremony tent in case you should be lucky enough to have rain on your wedding day. Up to 200 of your nearest and dearest can attend, allowing you to invite everyone you hold dear. Catering services on-site provide a wide range of options for your special day. Couples can choose from a buffet or stations, with hors d’oeuvres, and a cocktail reception also in the cards. The meal itself is a four-course dinner with an appetizer, salad, main course, and something sweet for dessert. Wait staff will take care of you and your loved ones, from the dinner to cutting the cake. A full-service bar is also available, with an additional fee for bartenders for a cash bar. Guests can choose among house wine, beer, and liquor, while you and your partner can enjoy the champagne toast or a signature cocktail. Your tent facility fees include the tables, chairs, linens, and lighting, among others. The dance floor, sidewalls, all glassware and tableware, and setup and cleanup are also included, so you can focus on having fun. Mile away restaurant was the most amazing venue I could have ever chosen! On top of being super affordable compared to some other wedding venues, the owners are so very nice and helpful. My wedding could not have gone any smoother because of the day of coordinator/owner! She set up all of the decorations for me and even packed it up that night! I mean, who does that?! Food was amazing and the venue is absolutely beautiful. I would recommend this place to anyone! What a beautiful wedding day they gave me❤️

Mile away restaurant was the most amazing venue I could have ever chosen! On top of being super affordable compared to some other wedding venues, the owners are so very nice and helpful. My wedding could not have gone any smoother because of the day of coordinator/owner! She set up all of the decorations for me and even packed it up that night! I mean, who does that?! Mile Away was the perfect venue for our summer wedding. The gardens/grounds and tented reception area were ideal. We had ~90 people including kids, and there was more than enough space for everyone to be comfortable, and for the kids to run around outside to keep from getting too restless. The weather cooperated, allowing for the tent sides to be opened for an outdoor feel. The food was amazing, and we got a lot of positive feedback from guests. Sara, the day-of coordinator, was excellent and knew just how to organize things to make our day awesome. If anything went awry, I was unaware of it, which is just what you want as a bride. Kudos to Mile Away and I would not hesitate to recommend them to couples looking for a fantastic tented/outdoor venue for their wedding.

The food was delicious and the grounds were absolutely stunning. The foliage was gorgeous and we felt like we were tucked away in the mountains. The service and the staff were great. Mile Away was absolutely the best venue my husband and I could've asked for. We hardly had to do any type of decorating as the entire venue is a beautiful garden style with tons of flowers and plants! The food was delicious and the staff was EXTREMELY accommodating. Joshua, the owner, was very easy to work with and flexible. Sandy (I believe she was Joshua's mother-in-law) was absolutely fabulous and took so much stress away from me. She acted as wedding planner during the wedding weekend. She helped to organize the rehearsal and was our go-to person on our wedding day. The food was also absolutely delicious and the portions were huge! Mile Away has a contract with a bakery as well so our wedding cake was included in the venue price, which was a huge perk. The venue did not break our bank account in any way either. Their prices are very reasonable for the quality that you get! We still have guests complimenting us on the venue location over a year later. I have had many people contact me asking about the venue we used because the saw how beautiful it was in the pictures. I highly recommend Mile Away to anyone who is looking for a beautiful venue setting that truly helps to make your wedding an absolute dream!

The Mile Away was simply the best. Joshua and Sandy made our day perfect! They were so easy to work with and answered all of my crazy emails. From the rehearsal dinner, to helping us set up and pick up, and everything in between; Sandy did it all and was amazing. The garden and grounds were gorgeous. The tented area was beautiful, clean and felt so spacious yet intimate. I'd suggest this venue over and over. You can't beat the price with everything included and all their help.

The Mile Away is a hidden gem!! We had our wedding there on 9/16/17 and couldn't have asked for anything more. The Murphy family is so easy to work with & they truly want to make your day perfect. The grounds are BEAUTIFUL and the food was absolutely delicious. One of the most important things to us at our wedding was the food and EVERY person there said how wonderful everything was. The price was so much better than I was expecting for everything we got in the package. Mrs. Murphy (day of coordinator) was incredible, she set up the entire venue exactly how I wanted it (and trust me, I am VERY picky) and made sure our entire day went smooth. We could not have asked for a more perfect place for our wedding, and we cant thank the Mile Away enough!!

My bride and I had a rainy Friday wedding, but that was the only downfall (out of anyone's control) to an otherwise perfect day that the Mile Away helped create for us. The owner (Josh) was very helpful throughout the planning of the wedding, promptly answering our questions, accommodating our needs, keeping track of details and minimizing our overall stress levels. For the rehearsal and the wedding day, his wife (Christina) was super helpful and friendly when it came to executing the gameplan. It was clear that they were experienced hands when it comes to weddings. Everything from the venue layout to the food received rave reviews from our wedding guests, and many have commented that it was one of (if not the) best wedding they had ever been to. We would not use their wedding services again (... because we are off the market for weddings at this point ;-D )....But we could not be more vocal in our recommendation for other prospective spouses to celebrate their special day here. Rain or Shine, the Mile Away is a fabulous place to get married!

We held our wedding reception at the Mile Away on 9/24/16 and were so impressed and happy with our choice! We had many homemade decorations and centerpieces which Sandy, our day of coordinator, was amazing at setting up everything! It looked phenomenal! The staff was great and brought my husband and I a full plate of food at dinner and our bridal party were able to enjoy a little quieter cocktail hour being privately served on their side patio. We were able to get beautiful pictures in their gardens and the restaurant as a backdrop. A great family owned place that gave us personalized attention unlike so many other venues!

We just had my daughters wedding at Mile Away. I could not give a higher recommendation. The grounds were beautiful. The staff thought of everything. They took great care of my daughter and son in law, providing hors d'oeuvres during photos, ensuring they had food and drinks throughout. Sandy thought of everything ensuring a perfect evening. The food was excellent. They even provided a doggy bag for the bride and groom including cake. For such an important event, I highly recommend Mile Away. They took great care of my daughter and son in law, providing hors d'oeuvres during photos, ensuring they had food and drinks throughout. Sandy thought of everything ensuring a perfect evening. The food was excellent. They even provided a doggy bag for the bride and groom including cake. For such an important event, I highly recommend Mile Away. What a beautiful venue! My husband and I got married at the end of June and the Mile Away looked gorgeous. We had our ceremony outside and the grounds were meticulously taken care of and the flowers were in bloom. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly before and during the wedding. I had many people telling me after the wedding that the food was great and how beautiful the venue was (and I of course agreed!). The only problem my family had was that the dance floor was a little small, which is barely a problem.

Josh was always available by email and answered promptly. I could stop by to drop things off and had access to unlimited site visits. Everything was so laid back. The package I chose included a Saturday night complete use of the grounds (no fighting w/ other weddings). The restaurant was open during my wedding but it didn't effect us. It also includes a champagne toast, three-tier cake made by Fredrick's pastries and buffet food (which was amazing). I brought all my nonperishable decorations for the rehearsal dinner and Sandy magically set up everything exactly how I wanted after just one conversation. Remarkable! During the wedding, Sandy made sure my groom and I had drinks and food, or anything else we could possibly need. They are pros and their expertise made the wedding absolutely stress free!

The Mile Away was FANTASTIC. We had our ceremony and reception at this venue. Originally we were going to have the ceremony outside in their gardens but sadly Mother Nature wasn't with us. Not to worry, they set up a gorgeous floral arbor under the tent and we went through the ceremony without a problem. For not having rehearsed having the ceremony under the tent the staff were very professional and took care of everything. Later on in the day the rain parted and then guests were able to go out and enjoy the beautiful gardens. Flowers were in full bloom, lawn was mowed, everything looked JUST beautiful. Service for food was great and the food itself was fantastic, I heard zero complaints. I highly recommend!!

Service for food was great and the food itself was fantastic, I heard zero complaints. I highly recommend!!

We selected the Mile Away for our ceremony and reception - we could not be happier with the entire planning process and our wedding day. We live in San Diego and decided to get married in New Hampshire; this had the perfect New England feel and our families did not have to travel far from either where they live or where they stayed. Josh was great about emailing us back to answer questions and Sandy, our day of coordinator, was wonderful. When I read venues, I didn't really understand how a \"day of coordinator\" worked but Sandy was on top of everything. I lost my veil during pictures - she found it and wrapped it up for me. One of my bridesmaids ripped her dress, she magically had safety pins and blue thread on hand. They are so organized, you can tell they have experienced staff. The grounds are also so beautiful! Even for the fall, the flowers were beautiful and the garden looked so alive. The inside of the tent was also beautiful - everyone loved the shutter they have to place name cards (which they put out for us) and the lighting was awesome. They also have heaters which kept the tent nice and warm. The food was also wonderful - the only thing some guests were disappointed about was not trying everything after hearing how good it was! Everyone told us this was one of the best weddings they had been to in a while, one guest told us he is going to suggest this venue to his daughter who is getting married. The Mile Away staff is seasoned and hard working - I cannot say enough good things about them. We are so glad we went with them for our wedding; thank you!!

I am a budget bride and i wasn't willing to give up quality and romantic scenery for cheaper prices. At the mile away restaurant you don't have to give up anything. They have a gorgeous garden, patio, barn style doors, rustic scenery, and pond with fountain. The restaurant is family owner and they take good care of their customers. The food is delicious and they are willing to make adjustments. I had family attending who are glat kosher and have a very strict religious diet. The restaurant was willing to let me family bring their own grill and food to the wedding. The staff are great with resolving any type of wedding day emergency and they have good for everyone. Their package included cake from a local bakery. However, this bakery makes me sick every time I eat there. Do the restaurant let me use an outside cake vendor without charging me extra. They exchanged chocolate covered strawberries and ice cream in place of the cake charge. The staff is friendly, caring, cooperative, and knowledgable. As the bride I had nothing to worry about as the restaurant took care of everything. I highly recommend them to every bride. You won't be disappointed.

My husband and I chose the Mile Away as our venue based both on its outdoor area (the tent and gardens) as well as its location, being near Manchester and Nashua and therefore near family as well as affordable hotel accomodations. \rWe went there to eat and check it out before deciding and fell in love. It is tucked away on Federal Hill Road, but is not so tucked away that it is impossible to find. We met several couples that first dinner that were celebrating anniversaries, including a couple celebrating 58 years married! Needless to say, we decided to have our wedding here. \rCommunication between ourselves and the owner was always prompt and straight forward, which was awesome. We communicated mostly via e-mail, and always had responses within 24 hours. \rWe had several vegans/vegetarians/Halel folk in our party, and the Mile Away was more than able and willing to accomodate them for both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding reception (they even made a special vegan desert for the rehearsal dinner!), which was so appreciated. \rThe rehearsal was when we met Christina, who was unbelievable. She walked us through the ceremony, both in the tent (in case of rain), and outside in the gardens. The day of, she was amazing. She talked us through everything, helped my husband pin his corsage, coordinated with our officiant...it was perfect. There is a small \"Carriage house\" area where the bridal party waits prior to the processional that was great - all our bouquets and such were waiting there for us, there was a little space for our purses and such to hide them away - she and the folks at the Mile Away have thought of everything! Even getting people up and in line for food, she was very efficient! It was certainly recognized by my guests, and appreciated!\r\rAnd the gardens? So beautiful!! It feels even more private than it is, and the willow trees in the way back of the property provided a perfect place for our portraits after the ceremony. The gardens provided a perfect area for people to mill about during the cocktail area, and to wander out during the reception to cool down between dances!\r\rReally and truly, it was a perfect day. We couldn't have asked for more from the Mile Away.

You can't go wrong having your reception at Mile Away! My fiance and I knew we didn't want to be confined in a banquet hall. In doing a search I found Mile Away and passed it over. When we exhausted our search I went back to Mile Away. My fiance went to look at it on a Friday night and fell in love! I went Saturday morning and didn't leave until I left a deposit! The grounds are beautiful! The area under the tent is a flat concrete(a plus many other tented receptions don't offer) covered with fake astro turf. Ladies can wear heels and not worry about their heel digging into the ground. The dance floor has a gradual raise of maybe a quarter inch. This was important to me as I knew our guests would love to dance. So having them be able to dance around the dance floor without having to worry about anyone tripping was important. I was nervous at first about the food. We were unable to taste the food because it is cooked on a grill outside. Take my word: don't worry about it! We met several people who attended weddings there and raved about the food. On the day of, the food was plentiful and delicious! \r\rSandy & Kevin Murphy are the parent's of the owner and the ones who ran our wedding. Sandy is a doll! She had our best interest in mind and rolled with the punches. She made sure everything was set up just like we wanted it, made sure we had plenty to eat as well. She gets it, she even gave us food to bring back so we had something when we got home after a crazy day. Kevin was the bartender and sooo attentive. Our guests commended him on knowing what everyone was drinking and having it ready for them before they got to the bar. Many people informed us that there was never a line at the bar because he and the other bartender were on top of it. \r\rJosh Murphy is the owner and works with you in planning your wedding. He let us do a sparkler exit and even tried a late night menu per our request-his first one! It was delicious. I can't believe I ever looked past Mile Away and am so thankful that they still had our wedding date available. If a great atmosphere(the flowers/trees/arche ways/benches!), great food and people is what you are looking for than you can't go wrong with Mile Away! I can't rave about it enough!

A little over a month after our wedding, my husband and I are still getting lots of positive feedback from our wedding guests (both family and friends.) We are still amazed by how smoothly and how beautiful everything was at the Mile Away to make our day utterly perfect! \rIf considering this location, you must see for yourself in person. Though their pictures and marketing are great, nothing truly captures the lovely venue unless you see it in person. \rMy husband and I planned our wedding from Pittsburgh without a hitch. Since the restaurant and venue is a family owned business, we worked with all of the members of the Murphy family. They were all attentive, responsive and helpful. Sandy (who was our point person the day of) went above and beyond to make all of our guests comfortable and enjoy themselves. Staff worked seamlessly with our photographer and DJ. Sandy and the other staff's thoughtful approach to our wedding is truly what makes the Mile Away an exceptional place to have your wedding. On top of the beauty and the attentive staff, the food was phenomenal. Our pickiest eaters loved it, as did our \"foodie\" friends. \rWe had guests from Ohio who were \"blown away\" by the Mile Away and some of our local guests have since returned to dine at the restaurant after attending our wedding. ( I don't think that is something that most venues experience!)

The Mile Away in Milford, NH knows how to throw a wedding! The owners are a small family that couldn't be more knowledgable and friendly. The Mile Away's grounds are absolutely gorgeous and the tent is gigantic and decorated beautifully. The food is some of the best I've ever had at a wedding. Also they obviously have done a wedding or 2 before because they had everything covered. Me and my wife didn't have to worry about a thing. When it started raining (only during our outdoor ceremony of course) we still chose to do the ceremony outside instead of moving it under the tent. When we made that decision, they brought out cases and cases of umbrellas for our guests. They even set up a seperate awning for photos in case of the rain. My dad has bad knees and was feeling it towards the end of the night, no worries because in the bathrooms were Advil along with mini deoderants, bug spray, etc. Even the people bussing the tables used wicker baskets instead of grungy bus tubs. They made it their mission to make our special day go as smooth as humanly possible. Other than a little rain during our ceremony, the night couldn't have gone any smoother and everyone was raving about how much fun they had and how beautiful the Mile Away was.

The actual day of the wedding was AMAZING! Sandy & Christina were excellent to work with, the grounds were gorgeous, set-up was exactly what I imagined. If you are planning your wedding here I would absolutely recommend it; however, I would also recommend setting up a couple of meetings. The contact person was not the best to deal with and information was lost in translation. But again- the day was perfect!

The Mile Away Restaurat is an amazing venu. This is a family run business, and the owners are very passionate about what they do. This is shown not only by the beautiful grounds that they keep, but the high level of service they provide to their customers. We chose the tented reception, which holds up to 200 guests. They are very reasonably priced, especially for the amount of food they serve! There just can't be any other venue that is as affordable, and as unique as the Mile Away. You'd be crazy not to get married here!!!!

We held our reception at the Mile Away in September of 2012 and were completely blown away at what an amazing team they have. The staff bent over backwards to make sure that the bridal party had everything they needed at any given second during our reception. They also did an amazing job setting up the tables with all of the decor I had dropped off the night before. I brought everything from votive candles to table numbers to plate chargers, and everything looked perfect! In terms of the timeline, the staff worked closely with our DJ to ensure that we stayed on schedule throughout the night. At the close of the evening, we found that all of our personal items, such as my veil, had been packed up neatly in boxes to take home. The food was incredible, and many people raved at how great everything was. We actually heard from several guests that it was the best wedding they had ever been to. The Mile Away property is gorgeous and the service is fantastic for a very reasonable price. We can't wait to go back for our anniversary dinner for many years to come!

The Mile Away was exactly what we were looking for and more. My Husband and I wanted the back yard wedding feel and the mile Away was perfect. The gardens and grounds were perfectly kept up. Food and wedding cake were to die for. The staff was amazing kept right up with everything. The attention to detail and just the little touches that they did just made our day. I would highly recommend the Mile away to anyone.

We just had our wedding in May 2011 and i have to say everything exceeded our expectations. The entire staff at the Mileaway was professional and courteous. They were highly organized which took all the stress of of us. We did not have to worry about one thing. Everyone that attended had so much fun. We live in the area and knew of the restaurant and already knew how wonderful the food was so it was an easy decision to get married there. There prices are the best around.\rI recommend this venue to all future brides.

The Mile Away is a perfect place to have an outdoor wedding. Their gardens, tent, food and service are all great and we didn't have to worry about anything. It was a dream come true wedding.

I had dined at the Mile Away before and took my fiance to see the restaurant. When we were shown their reception tent surrounded by gardens, we knew that was where we wanted to get married. The setting, the food and the whole day were perfect!!!

The Mile Away was the perfect place for both our outdoor ceremony and reception. The Murphy family is wonderful, organized, and VERY good at what they do. The food was fabulous, the gardens immaculately kept, and everything was perfect. I couldn't have asked for a better day.

We could not have asked for a better venue! The value of the Mile Away far surpasses the actual cost. We thought they were very reasonably priced when we booked and have to say that after the wedding was said and done, they are a diamond in the rough. I would've paid a lot more for the quality and service they provided. They were there to answer all our questions throughout the months leading up to the wedding and very helpful the few days before when delivering all of our favors and centerpieces. We had a number of last minute changes and they didn't even blink an eye at accomodating them all. The day of was as smooth as could be. We had people comment on how smooth everything was and how we did not have to ask for one thing. They were one step ahead of us at all times! The food was fantastic as well. We received so many comments about how personal and unique our wedding was and how the venue was gorgeous. Im sure some people think we paid two or three times more than we actually did. I would recommend The Mile Away to everyone five times over. It is a MUST SEE when looking at your venue options. The outdoor ceremony area is amazing. And the large outdoor tented reception is incredible! The price includes heaters and walls if needed. The area the ceremony and reception are in is a beautiful garden setting with a pond and prefect for pictures! I can't say enough good things about The Mile Away and not one complaint at all! We had about 135 guests and although the total cost of services is listed as $5,001-$10,000 it is much closer to $5,001 than $10,000. VERY reasonably pricesd!

We had a large wedding at a reasonable price and we loved working with the Murphy family. Their attention to detail, planning meetings, and day of execution was impressive.
