We hosted our fusion wedding (South Asian and Jewish) at Milton Ridge on October 13, 2023, amidst a guest count of about 115 on a crisp and cool fall day. From the stunning venue to the seamless coordination, our special day was a beautiful blend of traditions and cultures. We believe that Milton Ridge is unique in offering an all-inclusive intimate space with comprehensive packages and fair pricing. The picturesque setting of Milton Ridge provided the perfect backdrop for our celebration. The lush gardens and elegant architecture created a romantic atmosphere that perfectly complemented the joyous occasion. The venue's versatility allowed for a seamless transition between the fusion outdoor Nikkah ceremony and the lively reception. Both day-of coordinators (from the venue) deserve special recognition for their impeccable service. They went above and beyond by working with the decorating crew, DJ, MC, and photography crew to ensure that every detail was executed flawlessly. From the initial planning stages to the day of the event, their professionalism and dedication were evident. The catering was a highlight of the evening. The fusion menu was expertly curated by the on-site chef and offered a delightful array of dishes that pleased guests from both cultural backgrounds. The chef at Milton Ridge showcased his culinary expertise by seamlessly blending flavors and textures, creating a feast that left a lasting impression on our guests. There were some concerns with the demeanor of some of the contracted waitstaff towards some of our externally hired vendors, but I recognize that this was not necessarily in the venue staff's control. I would suggest that the venue's staff be more responsive and receptive to telephone communication, as well. Some matters can be better discussed over the phone.I believe the venue mentioned that we were the 2nd or 3rd South Asian wedding held at the venue, so we were glad to allow the venue to work with us on our wedding to gain experience and we would certainly consider hosting future events such as anniversary parties or a baby shower at Milton Ridge! Milton Ridge was amazing! They were great leading up to the big day, but I couldn't rave more about day of set-up, tear down, and helping make the day run smoothly. Everything came together perfectly because of them and we had the greatest time with no stress. My whole family and wedding party were so happy with how smoothly things went. We had our wedding at Milton Ridge in June 2023. Our day was absolutely amazing, in large part thanks to the venue and staff! We chose Milton Ridge because of the proximity to Frederick, the included amenities and the services offered. The wedding party suites were so unique and perfect for getting ready with our loved ones, and we appreciated that there was an option to have our ceremony outside on the patio or inside the chapel (which really worked in our favor as we ended up making a last minute change due to weather). They also offered day-of coordination and the option to book with their partner vendors through the venue at great prices. The venue's coordinators, Meaghan and Brandi, were extremely helpful in answering all of our questions and walking us through planning details from the time we booked until our day. On the day of the wedding, we were able to relax and really enjoy every moment because they took care of everything! We provided our own decor, and Meaghan and Brandi set everything up even more beautifully than we had envisioned. We also went with the recommended DJ and used the venue's catering/bar services as required. Our guests complemented the food, the friendliness of the staff, and the beauty of the chapel and grounds. We are so happy we booked with Milton Ridge and can't thank them enough for helping make our wedding the best day ever! Reviewed on 29-07-2023

Working with Ronnie and Meaghan through the payment and planning process was a pleasure. I plan events for a living, and I was so happy with the venue's coordinator's attention to detail throughout the process, especially during rehearsal and the day off. I could tell she knew how important the details were to me. Emails and phone calls were acknowledged and addressed during every stage of the process. The venue is secluded, so there isn't much curb appeal, but once on the grounds, you really are in your own world. The natural landscape adds to the ambiance, and having everything all in one place is so convenient. The only hiccups were that one of our tables collapsed, but the staff swiftly reset it. IMO, there aren't enough restrooms in the reception hall for a massive group as we had one of the bathrooms malfunction, but again the staff was quick to remedy the problem. Our site visit and tasting were exquisite, and after seeing 3 other historical venues, we fell in love all over again when we arrived. The bridal cottage was a dream with all it was equipped with, and the groom's suite was the perfect man cave. If you want a worry-free experience, book Milton Ridge! Jessica Yastrzemsky(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 21-05-2022 Milton Ridge is a great wedding venue, but best for crowds under 100. Overall we loved the chapel, reception hall and the getting ready areas were a dream. My bridesmaids and I had the BEST time getting ready with tons of space. The biggest downfall of the venue is the parking- parking must be done in the shopping center next to the venue and the address for that shopping center is Hyattsville vs Clarksburg for the venueâs address. It was very confusing for guests and we had to provide directions and assistance to guests the day of. It would be nice if the venue could offer to do this for you. We were also strongly encouraged to start the ceremony at 5:30 when we put 5 on the invitations because in the chapel it wouldn't work well for guests to arrive late at all. If you choose this venue, just anticipate the time discrepancy (I personally hate to keep people waiting, but I also wouldnât want someone missing it or interrupting the moment on accident because they got lost or were late)I would recommend this venue for smaller ceremonies and celebrations where you can directly communicate with every person about the parking and layout. We had 112 people total and it felt like we were at capacity. The food was great, the staff is overall very helpful, the pricing was good, and everything was still beautiful, but unfortunately the problems with Milton Ridge are things that are not easily changed. Looking back on our day a lot of it went with ease otherwise and it was still a dream and we had so much fun, I just want brides to know the possible obstacles to help you decide whatâs best for you! Angela Clifton(other)1 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 28-08-2022 Overall, the venue was beautiful, but having a Sunday wedding, the staff was unpleasant and rude. Early on we paid for an outside bar, but it wasnât set up on our arrival. Our coordinator ensured that staff that we had it paid for, but the staff became argumentative until we produced the contract showing we paid for it. It was a very unpleasant encounter that was completely unnecessary. The church was incredibly hot for our guests. It is not clear as to what happened with the AC but our guests were sweating while sitting in the church. During our walkthrough, we were ensured that even though it was a historic church, the AC worked fine. We told the onsite staff, but nothing was done about this. In the reception space, the only actual drinks on the bride and groom table was water. No special bride and groom drinks as previously discussed, and no champagne for the toast even though this was paid for in-advance. We had to grab glasses that were filled with champagne from a nearby table for the bride and groom to toast with. The moment was ruined. During the reception, the table linens were picked up prior to the cake cutting and dessert, at approximately 8:15 pm. This was incredibly awkward for those individuals who didn't see the paper napkins sitting on the table. Our package included table linens, not paper napkins. We were under the understanding that the table linens would be picked up at 8:30 not earlier. By picking up the table linens earlier than expected the staff gave the impression to the guests it was time to leave, and the reception was over. We were made to feel that this wedding was an inconvenience for the staff. Granted it was on a Sunday, it truly felt that the staff wanted to go home early. I can honestly say the staff was unpleasant, and clearly did not want to be working on a Sunday evening. I am very disappointed by the service that was rendered on Sunday at our event. I felt that I fulfilled our end of the contract but the staff at Milton Ridge did not. If I had to do it over again, I would have chosen a different venue. Reviewed on 24-10-2022
Heather Petrie(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 23-04-2022 This is the wedding venue youâve been looking for! Not only is it beautiful for any ceremony option (white chapel, outdoor, indoor, etc.) but from the very beginning Milton Ridge has taken the guess work out of planning your dream day. They show their prices upfront and even have a list of preferred vendors with their prices if youâre in a pinch. We were having a hard time finding a vendor and they made recommendations and checked their availability to help with the planning process. Of course, you can use your own vendors but the pricing upfront was an easy way to help us gauge the average cost. Meagan met with us and emailed us throughout the planning stages to assist. As someone that had no idea what I wanted, she offers suggestions on what your wedding day timeline could look like. The same was true for our ceremony. With everyone looking to you for answers, she is there with the guidance you need to make your vision come to life. The day of the wedding, we arrived prepared to help with set up but she and the Milton Ridge team took care of everything, leaving us to enjoy our time in the bridal and groom suites, which are seriously the cutest. I know it may seem like Overkill but seriously, when we lost our officiant a week before the wedding Meaghan graciously stepped in as if it were seamless and rocked it!!! She makes it all look effortless and is always there to help with guidance. She smooths out all the bumps on the big day and is an amazing support and on your big day, there is nothing more important then having someone like her in your corner!!!The flowers on site are jireh's flowers & events and Johanna is nothing short of brilliant!!! Her work is inspired. I truly wasnât looking for a big floral presence in my wedding but after sitting and talking with Johanna, just getting to know each other (we didnât even talk much about flowers in that first conversation) then she just shot me some ideas and I was blown alway!!!! She chose arrangement and flowers I could not have dreamt in my wildest dreams and that spoke to me and my husbands personalities and vibe flawlessly. Her flowers added the perfect pops of color and tastefulness to the event and the pictures. I now follow her on all social media and she is an inspiration. The makeup artist was meticulous and while it took a while I have never felt or looked more beautiful in my whole life!!! She was able to take all my ideas and thoughts and turn it into exactly how I wanted to look that day. The photographer got us some amazing shots. Lots of variety and spots around the whole property. They were not as verbal as I would have preferred but they still managed to get amazing shots posed and candid!!! Everyone was so friendly and soooo quick with getting back to you!!! The venue itself is stunning and has really choice places for pictures all year round. The on site photographer knows the. Eat locations to shoot so well!!! The staff is great and friendly. The location has everything you need right there in the premises. The church and reception hall are beautiful clean pallets to begin with so you can keep it simple or dress it up to the nines. Everything you can think of is already though of for you!!! My wedding was about 100 guests and it was perfect!!!The staff will do everything in their power to make it your best day. And again Meaghan and Johanna are magic workers and create an environment that would be perfect for any event!!! Reviewed on 20-02-2019
Natalia Lauver(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-12-2018 We got married on 12.08.2018. Milton Ridge was the first place that we went to when we were searching for the venues. As soon as we met Meaghan and she toured us through the place and answered all our questions I knew this was the place we will be getting married at. We did plenty of other searches around our area but we ended up picking Milton Ridge (which is 2 hours away from where we live!). Meaghan was amazing! She was always prompt at responding and very flexible with our schedules when we had to meet up. We went with all the vendors that Milton Ridge had to offer. The food was amazing (yum), the cake was gorgeous, Johanna (the florist) did an outstanding job with her flower arrangements, and the photographers/videographers did such an amazing job capturing all the special moments! I would definitely recommend to go with all their vendors! I wanted as much of stress free wedding as possible and not having to worry about findings the vendors was a big help! Plus Meaghan did all the coordination with them so I didn't have to worry about a thing. Might I also add that this venue offers an off-season discount which can save you plenty of $$$. I am a very happy bride and would highly recommend this venue (even my mom who is soooo picky about everything loved this place haha) Reviewed on 30-01-2019

Lauren Sullivan(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 10-11-2018 TL;DR: Pick this venue. You wonât regret it. Where do I even start? From the beginning Ronnie and Meaghan were amazing. My mom found this venue in the beginning of our search and as soon as my fiance and I stepped foot on the property, we knew it was the one for us without any hesitation. There are a lot of aspects of Milton Ridge so Iâll start with the people. Meeting with Ronnie was a great experience--he was kind, informative, and fun to be around. And then thereâs Meaghan. Meaghan is my girl. She is, hands down, one of my favorite humans. She knows what sheâs doing and I can honestly say I wouldâve lost my mind had it not been for her. She never told me no, only gave advice. If I wanted something, she made it work. Spend the extra money and get her help for your day of coordination. Meaghan was always there before I could even ask her a question, already answering it. I honestly miss her already. The entire staff that worked our event was fun, quick, and made our event that much more special. The venue itself is simple, but beautiful--think of it like a blank palette and you can truly make it your own. The bridal cottage is vintage and makes for beautiful pictures while the groomâs suite gives the boys something to do all day--think the ultimate bachelor pad. The chapel is something out of a movie and it was honestly what sold me and my now husband. Itâs the perfect size for an intimate ceremony that can also seat up to 150 people. There are a lot of venues in the area--ones that are probably bigger or whatever--but I can guarantee you won't get the personal attention to every detail, delicious food, amazing vendors, and intimate ceremony youâll get here. If I could go back and do it all over again, I definitely would and I would choose Milton Ridge. Reviewed on 20-12-2018

Jennifer Martein(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-06-2018 Our June wedding could not have been more perfect. We had a wonderful time, as did all of our guests. Let me give you some of the details to give you an idea why we chose Milton Ridge. We had a Friday evening ceremony and reception for 125 people. We had light hâors dâouvres and cocktails, followed by a buffet dinner, DJ, and dancing. Open Bar. 1.\tThe setting. Beautiful â each and every season that we visited throughout the process and planning it was lovely. The outside is maintained meticulously, and the clean palette of colors inside go well with any vibe youâre trying to create, be it contemporary, rustic, or elegant. 2.\tThe amenities. When you book your wedding, the venue is yours for the day. No rushing in after the midday ceremony to set up for your evening event! There are several options for your ceremony, both inside and out. The bridal cottage and grooms dressing area are perfectly appointed, with plenty of room for your wedding party to relax and get ready â great for photoâs as well. The bride can even peek at the guests arriving to the chapel! 3.\tWhatâs included. Quite a few of the items that are considered âextraâ with other venues are standard at Milton Ridge, and having all of the catering on site made for a stress-free day for the bride(me!) The menu selection is wide, delicious and varied, and they can even create something just for your event. We were working with 2 numbers â our budget and number of guests â and Meaghan was amazing at always keeping our numbers closely aligned. THERE WERE NO SURPRISES! 4.\tThe staff. We worked with Meaghan Ford, who is a Godsend to the owner Ronnie. She was with us every step of the planning, and always available for our questions. Very detail oriented, she was always providing options without injecting her tastes or preferences. On the wedding day she was unflappable, and always appeared exactly when I turned to look for her. Iâm sure there were things she took care of that I am, to this day, unaware of. The rest of the service staff was good as well; we did a buffet and it was well replenished and plates were cleared. 5.\tPreferred vendors. Milton Ridge has several preferred vendors for various services. We utilized a preferred DJ service as well as a preferred florist. Of course, it makes sense; they see events all of the time and they know who is good at what they do! The DJ was easy to work with, professional, responsive, and really gave us what we were looking for in terms of music. Weâre eclectic in our taste, and he pulled it all together â from cocktail hour serene to dance floor hustle. The florist was a gem â she went over and above to give me what I had envisioned. She made sure that I was happy with every arrangement. The smallest of details was not overlooked as she blended our table decorations with her flowers, greenery, and tiny touches. She really loves what she does, and it shows!!!I got a good feel when I first went in for a visit and met Meaghan. After the wedding, I had that same good feeling â I really do feel that they truly care about making your event what YOU want it to be, and they will work with you to make your day perfect for YOU. I looked thru the pictures, and no two weddings in their portfolio are alike â and this makes me happy, because no two brides are alike. Reviewed on 29-08-2018

Terri Long(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 25-10-2018 In June, my husband and I celebrated our 10-year anniversary by hosting a vow renewal and wedding reception at Milton Ridge. To say the day was spectacular is an understatement! The owner and operator, Ronnie Kingsley, handled every detail (great or small) with impeccable care. The Bridal Cottage provided the ideal spot for me to gather with my daughters, sisters and close girlfriends before the ceremony. The room was stocked with cold drinks, spacious enough to accommodate my hair/make-up team and allowed the special women in my life to socialize and relax before the big event. My husband and his crew enjoyed their own alone time in the \"man cave\" or Groom's suite, accessible through a separate entrance on the property. The chapel is well-lit and was arranged in a way that created the perfect, intimate setting for our vow renewal. The garden patio served as a stunning backdrop for our family photos and allowed our guests to enjoy cocktails and appetizers in what felt like an old English countryside. Can we talk food? There are few crimes greater than going to a wedding and being disappointed by lackluster, cold, stale, unseasoned dishes and watered-down libations. And this was certainly NOT the case at Milton Ridge. Ronnie spent quite a bit of time with me on catering selections to ensure our menu was perfect. I had some particular requests to satisfy our party guests, a blend of well-traveled Brits as well as local Marylanders. Our time was well-spent as the food was outstanding! As an homage to my husband's British heritage, Chef created several curry dishes from scratch. Ronnie invited us to a luncheon a few weeks prior to the reception at which time we sampled Chef's creations. He prepared two chicken curries (one Indian, one Moroccan) as well as a vegetarian chickpea dish and chutney. All of the entrees were lick-the-plate delicious! And my mouth was agape while watching my typically carnivorous husband devour the chickpea dish!! I'm fairly certain that was the first and last time he'll consume a garbanzo bean :) Party-goers raved over the flavorful curry buffet and I'm so delighted we were able to go \"off-script\" to offer this option to our guests. And as native Marylander, I can honestly say the crab ball hors d-oeuvres were some of the best I have ever eaten. Additionally, I provided Chef with a family recipe for our favorite \"Orange Crush\" cocktail; they were perfectly prepared and hit the spot on a warm June afternoon. I would be remiss if I did not call attention to the exceptional service our entire party received at Milton Ridge and I have a few examples that truly highlight our experience. As most Brides do, I spent nearly all of the evening circulating the room and chatting with guests. At one point, I lost track of my handbag and was searching for it. One of the Milton Ridge servers, Rhonda, must have read my lips from the across the reception hall and brought my bag to me. She also prepared a plate for me as she realized I neglected to eat during the reception. Lastly, one of the other servers tracked-down some much sought after chocolate milk for my daughters so they could participate in the champagne toast. In summary, I highly recommend Milton Ridge as venue of choice in the Washington Metropolitan area. Much of what made June 25, 2017 so special for us was Ronnie's attention to detail and all that Milton Ridge has to offer. Reviewed on 25-08-2017

My wife and I worked with Milton Ridge representative Meaghan to make our wedding day perfect. The only issue was due to this being a July wedding, it was extremely hot. The chapel was air conditioned, but I think the amount of guests all in one room made the ceremony very hot. Also there was a problem with the air conditioning in the grooms suite, but since it was recently redeveloped I believe the issue will be fixed soon. The food we served at our reception was fantastic, even though the two of us didn't have much time to eat it since were busy mingling with guests.Overall, my wife and I are very happy with our choice of making Milton Ridge be part of the most important day of our lives. We had a very nice wedding at Milton Ridge. It was convenient to have everything there at one spot. We used the additional cottage for all the ladies to get ready. It was the best buy on the place. Well worth the money. We had an afternoon wedding so we did not have catering. We had desserts and coffee and it worked well. We booked directly through her and she was always there from beginning to end with any questions or concerns we had. We booked most of our services through Tracy and Milton Ridge.\rCatering, of course. The food was amazing! Everything tasted perfect and all of my guests loved the crab ball hors d'oeuvres. \rCake. We went with 3 different flavors( caramel, almond and strawberry). They tasted just like they did at the tasting if not better. It was a stunning cake. I almost didn't want them to cut it at all\rDJ- Fela was great!! He played exactly the type of music we had asked for and keep our guests on the dance floor.\rPastor- pastor Lee made the ceremony so much less nerve wrecking. He has a great personality and had some great advice for a successful marriage. \rFloral- Event plus Design put together the most beautiful bouquet, corsages and boutonnières I have ever seen. They were a pleasure to work with! They also draped the chapel so beautifully. \rCoordination- Laura from Event plus Design was by my side the entire day. She helped make sure we stayed on track with schedule and took care of all the little things that I would have not remembered at all. She even helped carry my dress!!! \rHair and Makeup- Jody is truly an artist! My hair was so beautiful. My makeup had me feeling like a true princess. My guests told me all night that I should be in a bridal magazine and it was all Jody's work. She has an amazing personality! She was a wonderful planner throughout and made everything come together very well. The staff was so nice and accommodating and the food was delicious! Thanks to the Chef Wahid. Everyone including our friends with special diet needs had great things to say about the food. Our cake made by the paco ktauk ryreception we used through the venue was delicious and completely beautiful. \r\rThe only problems we had were with Tracy. She is incompetent, and also dishonest. She changed her tune about EVERYTHING as soon as we signed the contract, Telling us not to worry about what it said because we spoke about it. To say Milton Ridge was a âgreatâ wedding venue for our daughter and our new son-in-law would be an understatement. âPerfectâ would better capture how their wedding day went at Milton Ridge. The newlyweds and their 100 guests were all treated to a truly special event which was all orchestrated by the very talented and dedicated Milton Ridge coordinator, Tracy Lynn Brooks. Tracy is simply the best wedding coordinator on the entire planet. Period! From the first time we met with Tracy and every time afterwards, whether in person or through emails, she had only one goal: to make our daughterâs wedding an exceptional day. And there were no unforeseen surprises. \rThe wedding ceremony itself was expertly performed by the very warm and loveable Fr. Rob who could not have been more perfect for the newlyweds. Everyone said what a great job he did.\rThe floral decorations of the chapel and reception hall exquisitely captured our daughterâs wedding colors of hot pink and orange. Laura and Kerri of Event Plus Design gave the same attention to detail as Tracy. They did a great job working within our budget and making many excellent recommendations which only added to the splendor of the day. \rThe catering services also first-rate as the hors dâoeuvres and entrees were superb. Many of the guests commented on the excellent selection and quantity available. The entire staff was also professional in every sense of the word.\rAs for the venue itself - the Bridal Cottage, Historic Chapel, and Reception Hall â all exceeded our expectations, as the newlyweds were treated to a wonderful (and worry-free) day that they will cherish for a long time. Having the chapel and reception hall adjacent to each other on expertly managed floral grounds was nothing short of wonderful. \rAn odd coincident is that while living in Damascus MD, we must have travelled past Milton Ridge hundreds of times on our way to shopping and dining in Frederick MD and we never realized it was a wedding venue. Now, whenever we pass by Milton Ridge on our way to Frederick, we will look over with a smile, remembering our daughterâs perfect wedding day. Thank you Tracy. Thank you Milton Ridge.\r\r Reviewed on 07-10-2013
Susan Davidson(bride)3 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 06-10-2012 We held our wedding here in October 2012, and our guests universally had a wonderful time. There were endless compliments on the food, music and decor. I found planing my wedding, however, to be frustrating for the following reasons: \r- Several months after putting down a deposit we were told that MR couldn't find the check, and the language they used made it seem like they suspected we had never sent it. Luckily we photocopied every check we sent and had a dated copy. Easily solved, however, by sending another check...\r- We used their officiant, guitar player, and make up artist. Our officiant two weeks before the wedding told us he had never been given our date from MR (even though we'd talked on the phone months earlier). Luckily, he didn't have other plans. \r- Expect to call or email at least twice, sometimes three times before getting a reply to any questions.\r- MR has an unusual catering approach for plated dinners where you choose 2 entrees and everyone gets both. We were initially told guests could choose to have only one or the other, so our invitations were printed to reflect that. A day before the wedding we were told that wasn't how it worked, and even those guests who avoid beef would be getting both beef and fish on their plates.\r \rNeither our officiant or the wedding coordinator made any effort toward anything about our families: multiple references were made about my mother, who passed away 20 yrs previously. Not something you want to repeatedly explain on your wedding day. I am not a small girl, but MR provided an embroidered short robe for my wedding day in an extra small. \r\rIf you can deal with this sort of poor attention to detail, you will be able to have a beautiful event here. But forewarned is forearmed. I would go somewhere else if I had it to do over. \r Reviewed on 31-12-2012
Kelly Runion(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 08-09-2012 We had our wedding at Milton Ridge (MR) in September 2012. We got engaged in November 2011 and were eager to find a venue asap since places fill up so quickly. Milton Ridge was on our long list of venues to visit and we knew after the first time we saw it that it was the one! The venue was clean and neutral making it very easy to match any theme you want. No need to try and match antique carpets and tacky red curtains in a large ballroom; MR was simple and elegant and could go along with ANY color combination you want. To make our lives easier, we used MR's Chapel, Cottage, Reception Hall, Photographer, DJ, and Pastor and we were VERY happy we did. The vendors associated with MR are professionals and when you use MR vendors, Tracy, the MR âwedding plannerâ, will assist you with ensuring everyone arrives timely and everything is perfect! We would have used their flowers and cake as well except we did these things on our own. And everything came out perfect! I must admit in the beginning I was a little nervous (as every bride is), however, the day of Tracy really took care of everything. She set up all the tables and the decorations in the chapel which was an enormous relief for us. She has an eye for decorating so trust her judgment! She will make it look beautiful! The Pastor (Pastor Lee), DJ (DJ Fela), and photographer (Beth Chomas) were incredible. I received tons of compliments on each one of them and they really made our day even more special! When comparing MR costs to that of other venues it came out to be about the same. Yes, little things cost extra (extra $ for champagne), but the cost was still completely doable. They have chiavari chairs which are standard (up to $5 extra at other venues!) and their linen choices are beautiful. You could make MR as expensive or inexpensive as you would like, but the food quality is excellent and the professionalism of the staff canât be beat. I would highly recommend you use Milton Ridge as your wedding venue, you wonât regret it! Reviewed on 30-11-2012
Callie Prassinos(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 20-10-2012 Milton Ridge was the perfect setting for our wedding. When we first walked into the chapel, the charm sold me right away. Don't let the placement to the street steer you away from this great venue. Tracy was great to work with. She offered help with vendors but I'm a hands on kind of bride and Tracy was very helpful with that also. When the day of the wedding came the setting was very calming, us girls got to hang at the bridal cottage all day next to the pool. It was stress free. The boys had so much fun before the ceremony also hanging out in the chapel's loft and relaxing. The food was better then any wedding food I have ever had, and many guest told me so. Dinner was quick and great and the staff was very helpful and informative. The best part was the dancing. The built in lights and sound system was excellent. We had a great time. Sabrina Krebs(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 09-09-2012 We fell in love with this place. It was simple, elegant, intimate, clean, and updated. They have built some great vendor relationships to help make our selection easier. They had so many great photo ops around the property as well. As for the kitchen, we loved every dish at the tasting and thought the chef did a terrific job. We had a tough time making the decision for what to serve for dinner. I highly recommend the crab dip and chicken Florentine. When they found out I was a vegetarian, they had a special pasta dish made for me at the reception. I also had a nice gift waiting for me on the big day from Tracy, the coordinator. jacqueline romo(bride)4 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 16-06-2012 I need to start by saying that our wedding day was prefect - we wouldn't have changed it! The venue was amazing - the chapel, reception hall & bridal cottage are all so gorgeous, & very well maintained. Because we were planning a wedding from England, we used quite a few of the vendors provided by MR. All of the vendors were excellent, & worked very well together on the day of. All of our guests were so impressed with the venue, I canât stress that enough.\rThe major pluses: The venue itself is so beautiful âclassic Maryland â exactly why we chose it! The food â it was fabulous! & there certainly was plenty; all of our guests said it was the best wedding food theyâd ever had. The crab cakes are the best EVER. The waiting staff â they were attentive & friendly. The DJ (Fela) â he was so great & really kept the party going. The cake (Shary) â it tasted amazing & looked great. The pastor (Lee). He was so warm & friendly; he was very accommodating to our civil ceremony. Hair & Make-Up (Jody) â She is very chatty but EVERYTHING about the hair & makeup was perfect. We had left some things in the bridal cottage after the wedding, Tracy went out of her way to get them back to us, we were very grateful! \rA few things we had trouble with (not things that ruined the day, but could have made our lives less stressful): MR is sold as an âall inclusiveâ wedding venue with a wedding coordinator, but itâs not. Basically, you contact Tracy (the wedding coordinator) who just gives you the details of the vendors she uses. Then all of the coordination & contact is left to you. I was sorely disappointed on this point, & left a bit frustrated since I chose MR for this reason. Luckily, most of the vendors were such a pleasure to work with. Melissa (flowers) was the only vendor I had trouble with. I was so frustrated with her lack of response to my emails that I decided to only order my bouquet (which was beautiful) from her, & did the rest of the flowers with the help of my amazingly talented friends.\rThe catering staff were fabulous throughout the meal, I donât want to fault them. After the cake cutting the staff put out our cake, because we were so busy chatting /dancing, we didnât get a chance to try it until later. When we went to sit down we realized they had cleared it from our seats before we even had a chance to eat it. I was really quite upset about this. \rCommunication/Coordination - many of the emails I sent to Tracy were often delayed, half answered, or never answered. I found that if I called her that things worked out much better. We had to regularly chase Tracy for invoices up until the week of the wedding. She never voluntarily gave us one; we had to request them multiple times. I just thought this was really bizzare. While we were still getting our hair & makeup done- a process I think is quite intimate â Tracy/Jody had scheduled in 2 other girls to have a hair & makeup trial for a future wedding. My photographer had to dodge them! \rEverything aside, the only thing that really upset me on the day was the cake. Tracy is a very friendly, warm woman when you meet her face to face. I think that the pre-wedding communication & organization at MR leaves a bit to be desired; the day-of organization was great. We wouldnât change a thing about our wedding day (It was AMAZING â although too quick!) & certainly donât regret choosing MR;our guests had an amazing time! We just thought that we better let other people know the ins & out of our experien Reviewed on 05-08-2012
Laura Ritchey(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 14-06-2012 We fell in love with Milton Ridge the first time we saw it. It is an amazing venue for an intimate romantic wedding. The chapel is truly spectacular with gorgeous windows and a beautiful wood floor that sets off flowers. The front of the chapel isn't quite as nice for pictures, but the rest of the venue makes up for that. The old bridal suite has gorgeous walls and a front porch perfect for pictures and the newer reception hall was great.\rWe used a few of the vendors that Milton Ridge recommended. Pastor Bill was fabulous and made the ceremony very personal. We were also happy with DJ Fela.\rWe had issues with both the florist and cake vendor that Milton Ridge recommended. Both were difficult to get in touch with, unresponsive to phone calls and emails and caused a bit of a headache. We went with other vendors due to this and I believe since then Tracy has added new vendors to her list. Additionally we did not feel we were a good fit with their photographer and choose to go out on our own.\rTracy is very helpful and would respond to email, but does have a lot going on. Due to this there were details left up until the last week. All that being said the day of Tracy had everything looking spectacular and everything went off perfectly. \rWe would absolutely recommend Milton Ridge. Reviewed on 06-07-2012

Summer Kendall(bride)5 out of 5 Rating Wedding Date 15-10-2011 I got married at Milton Ridge on October 15, 2011. From the first time I saw Milton Ridge I knew it was where my wedding had to be. The historic chapel, bridal cottage, and reception building were breath taking. I spent more than a full year planning and enjoyed every second of it, from the food/cake tastings, meeting the florist, and the many visits we made, everyone at Milton Ridge made us feel special and I had zero stresses or worries. My wedding weekend was magical. My wedding wasn't until 5pm, but my bridesmaids, my mother, and I arrived at Milton Ridge at 11am and spent the day in the private bridal cottage relaxing and getting beautiful for the big day. It was a really relaxing memorable time with the favorite women in my life; many venues don't offer these accommodations on site. They also took me on a tour of the venue that afternoon to see the flowers, chapel, cocktail area and reception set up. The flowers were AMAZING, exactly what we asked for and everything was fresh and beautiful. Lisa did an amazing job on all the floral arrangements and we couldn't believe how affordable she was to work with. Shary who works with Milton Ridge also did our wedding cake.... we had two because we added a grooms cake... we also requested a gluten free cake because of my dietary issues. Shary was so accommodating and the cake was DELICIOUS! All of our guests commented on how amazing the cake was. In fact my husband and I broke tradition and after we returned from the honeymoon we ate the whole top layer of our saved wedding cake because it was so yummy. The cocktail area and reception location were set exactly to our specifications and looked beautiful. The food was delicious as well. My husband and I attended 8 friendsâ weddings leading up to ours and our friends said how our food was hands down the best! I received so many compliments from friends and family who attended our wedding. Everyone felt like the second they step on Milton Ridge's property they were in a beautiful secluded location and they loved that everything was in one area and they didn't have to drive between the chapel and reception. After exchanging our vowels our guests got to dance the night away... it was such an amazing day that I wish I could do it all over again. THANKS MILTON RIDGE!!! Reviewed on 26-04-2012
