This barn greets guests in a beautiful vision of white. The exterior of the coastal barn venue is made up of clean and crisp siding with a distribution of large, paneled windows offering a peek inside. There is a balcony that promises delightful sightlines of the property, and old-growth trees surrounding the structure, framing it with a green accent. Walking up to the onsite farmhouse can be a magical experience within itself, those ambling through finding themselves in a grove of mossy trees. A few steps away from the barn, couples and their guests will be blessed with expansive waterfront views. It is on the edge of this bank where various ceremony sites can be constructed. These may take place in or around the barn, surrounding a tree, on the lawn, or at another place of the couple’s choosing. Mimosa Barn Reviews
We loved using the Mimosa Barn for our wedding venue! The owners are so sweet and easy to communicate with. We really liked that we had the venue for the entire weekend, and not just a fraction of a day. It made setting up easy and we hosted the rehersal dinner there too! The venue has a blank canvas for couples to bring in anything they want (and allows you to leave out what you don’t want) to make their day complete! This flexibility worked well for us and we were over the moon with the end result. All of our guests commented on how beautiful the property was and our photos were phenomenal because of this!

Absolutely breathtaking venue! This place now means so much to me and my family, an absolute dreamland for any event! And the Wells are such great people, truly made our wedding a breeze with how helpful and accommodating they are! We felt like family and it made our wedding day that much more special.

This venue was by far one of my favorite things about my wedding. It’s so private and beautiful. The price was great and the owners are incredibly kind and helpful. I would have all of my events here if I could!

We absolutely loved working with Paula at Mimosa. She was quick to respond to any questions we had and helped out with so much leading up to and on the day of our wedding. We booked our date pre-COVID and kept it so I cannot speak to how any postponement would be handled but this venue was the perfect fit for us and as it is very open and outdoors it ended up being great for a spread out welcome party, ceremony and reception. The space is gorgeous for photos and you are just minutes from downtown Cape Charles. We couldn't imagine having done this anywhere else!
