A magnificent 100-year-old wedding and event venue
Mintahoe at Solar Arts is a historic wedding venue located in the Arts District of Northeast Minneapolis, MN. Situated on the top floor of the Solar Arts Building, this breathtaking, 100-year-old loft combines retro charm with contemporary luxury. The space is outfitted with reclaimed furnishings from many iconic locations and dazzles with its refined, industrial-style ambiance. An art gallery with stunning views of the cityscape, this venue is a chic spot to host your celebration. Mintahoe at Solar Arts features beautiful brick walls, exposed wood beams, and large windows that bathe the hardwood floors in natural light. You and your partner can tie the knot in front of the hall’s historic boilerplate door before flipping the room for your cocktail hour. Drinks are available at the bar, a rustic, handcrafted centerpiece made by a local artist using wood from the Harley Davidson plant in Milwaukee. Hors d’oeuvres can also be served in the Duluth Room, a floor-to-ceiling, glass-enclosed space equipped with an original boardroom table from the Duluth Railroad Company. This room also includes an antique sideboard from Johnny Cash’s estate. Upstairs, you and your wedding party can get ready in the artist’s studio and drinks can be enjoyed in the cocktail lounge. Mintahoe at Solar Arts is exclusively catered by the award-winning Mintahoe Catering & Events. This experienced event management company ensures delicious cuisine and exquisite service throughout your wedding day. The venue is absolutely lovely and worked very well for our style. We felt really comfortable with our initial coordinator but did not have as good of a working relationship when staff changed which is the reason for a four over five. Mintahoe was wonderful when we had some last minute logistical challenges outside our control and the food was great too. My only critique is our coordinator did not do as well with laid back people and was very intent on rushing through the timeline so much so that dinner was served and done before the bar was reopened from cocktail hour and I felt rushed down the aisle. In the grand scheme of things though I would recommend and do it there again.

Having our wedding at Mintahoe @ Solar Arts was a dream. CJ was incredible to work with. She was responsive, flexible, and helped us create our perfect day. The space was lovely, the food was delicious, and we had an absolute blast! Would do it again if we could afford it! ;)
