Welcome to Mitchelville Place, where dreams come true and memories are made! With over 30 years of experience in hosting weddings and other large events, all you need to do is bring us your vision and we will make it a reality. We love to work with our couples every step of the way to ensure that all the details are in place and that your special day is exactly as you've always imagined it. From providing custom floor plans to coordinating with the planner and trusted vendors, we are here to make your planning process as smooth and stress-free as possible. ​Nestled on 4.5 acres in the heart of Hilton Head Island, The Mitchelville House was originally built as a replica of General Ormsby Mitchel's three-story home in an adjacent neighborhood which is now known Port Royal on Hilton Head, during the Civil War. This house celebrates him as the general to one of the first freedmen's town in America, known as Mitchelville. The main house comfortably sleeps up to 12 guests, with 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths, including our luxurious Bridal Party Suite that is designed for on-site events with 4 hair and makeup vanities and has furniture placed and chosen to enhance bridal portrait shots. The adjacent Barn doubles as a large indoor event space, which houses a full bar with a two-tap kegerator and refrigeration, as well as our Groomsmen’s Lounge, where the groom's party can get ready and relax. From the live oak trees, modern elegance, historic allure, and beautiful coastal scenery, Mitchelville Place is the embodiment of rustic romance and southern charm in the Lowcountry. As an all-inclusive vacation rental property, we are designed to host large private gatherings in an intimate setting where guests can conveniently stay where the action is.

Hi! Im Nikki. I am born and raised in Hilton Head Island, SC. I graduated from University of South Carolina- Columbia with a Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management. My father has been an event planner and in the scenic design industry for over 30 years here in Hilton Head and I ran his rental and full service wedding division prior to opening Mitchelville Place.
