From the moment my now husband and I stepped foot into the venue, we knew that this was going to be our wedding venue. Our gut feeling was further assured after meeting Stephanie and Sal and seeing what was offered at their venue. Stephanie and Sal have been AMAZING to work with!! We did not have a wedding planner, and we did not need one with how well Stephanie and Sal supported, planned, and coordinated the whole night. We were able to go into our wedding day feeling calm and confident that everything was going to run smoothly. The day of, they were checking in on us, made the transitions of the night seamless, and help continue to coordinate till the very end! They were also so collaborative with our other vendors, making the entire night flawless! Lastly, Steph and Sal are so personable, helping our parents with surprises up their sleeves as well. The wait and bar staff was also amazing!! Debbie helped us prepare/set up the day before and made sure the drinks kept flowing the night off! The food was also incredible!! Our guests keep telling us how amazing and delicious the food was, and how attentive and quick that wait staff was. If you are looking for a venue in the Capitol Region, you have to go to Mohawk River CC! Our wedding was perfect. THANK YOU STEPHANIE AND SAL!!

My husband and I got married here in September 2023. The venue is dreamy and absolutely magical. I love how Sal, Stephanie and their whole team made everything so easy. While we were in the bridal suite, we were checked on multiple times to see if we needed anything else. Our guests RAVED about the appetizers and said that could have been dinner! Sal and Stephanie handled the day of things for us and took so much stress off me. The food is PHENOMENAL, the venue is picture perfect, and so easy to work with. All my guests raved about the venue, the food, even said it was the best wedding they had been to in a while. Our wedding there was a fairytale dream come true. They went over details with me to make sure it was just how I wanted. As a bride there are things I didn’t think of that Sal and Stephanie pointed out. My sister in law got married at their sister place, the Highland. I’d 10/10 recommend the Mohawk River Country club to anyone looking for a wedding venue. It was a no brainer to pick it for the food and the open bar to have the absolute best wedding. Our wedding turned out beautifully. I literally have no complaints. My guests told me that they absolutely adored the food, both at dinner and the cocktail hour. We also very much appreciated how attentive and friendly the wait staff and the bartenders were. It was to the point that the bartenders knew what everyone was drinking by the second round, which is impressive considering we had a headcount of 175. Every staff member that we interacted with was just so lovely. If you're looking into wedding venues in the Capital Region, I highly recommend Mohawk River Country Club!

Our wedding turned out beautifully. I literally have no complaints. My guests told me that they absolutely adored the food, both at dinner and the cocktail hour. We also very much appreciated how attentive and friendly the wait staff and the bartenders were. It was to the point that the bartenders knew what everyone was drinking by the second round, which is impressive considering we had a headcount of 175. Everything was perfect. The banquet manager was present and on top of everything during the planning stage and during the reception whether it was food, staff, service and checking in throughout the event that everything was excellent and we didn’t need anything else. Over 140 guests and everyone raved about the huge selection and delicious food during the cocktail hour, the dinner and drinks at the bar. We can’t stay enough about how happy and glad we chose The Mohawk Club for our daughter’s wedding reception and highly recommend this facility.

The banquet manager was present and on top of everything during the planning stage and during the reception whether it was food, staff, service and checking in throughout the event that everything was excellent and we didn’t need anything else. Over 140 guests and everyone raved about the huge selection and delicious food during the cocktail hour, the dinner and drinks at the bar. We can’t stay enough about how happy and glad we chose The Mohawk Club for our daughter’s wedding reception and highly recommend this facility.

We had our wedding here and I would choose this place again in a heart beat. They are a one stop shop, making planning and coordinating so easy. The space is so beautiful, minimal additional items were needed. Our guests LOVED the cocktail hour, food was amazing. The fire pits outside added to the space allowing additional areas for people to gather. Sal and his wife were so attentive, they anticipated our needs all along. The flexibility to make the day your own was also important. They created a beautiful head table that sat 22 and let my friends carry out a tradition that brought a lot of laughs. I couldn’t recommend Mohawk enough.

First off, the venue is GORGEOUS and they recently renovated the bridal suite and bar in the reception room. My bridal party could not get over how pretty the bridal suite was and the food that was offered to us throughout the day. Sal and his wife Stephanie were so amazing and helpful throughout the entire day and always made sure my Husband and I had a drink at all times. They listened to everything we said and wanted for our day and made it happen. The food was amazing and all of our guests raved about how delicious everything was and left very full and happy. I was told multiple times this was the nicest wedding they had attended. Deb, the bartender went above and beyond and left to purchase drinks one of our groomsmen wanted due to dietary restrictions and was so funny and talkative with everyone. We did not have to lift a finger with cleaning up. Once the reception was over, all of our stuff was packed up and ready to be put into our car so we could go enjoy the rest of the night together. We had such an amazing time and I would recommend to anyone to get married here. Thank you so much everyone!

Words cannot describe how great our experience was with Mohawk River Country club. From the first day we stepped foot on the venue for a walk through, to the last minute we walked out on our wedding night on 9/9, we were blown away. The banquet manager Sal, his wife Stephanie and the staff at Mohawk made our wedding dreams come true. We could not have asked for more. Any questions we had were answered immediately, any dilemmas we had were solved instantly through out the entire planning process. We were ensured everything would be exactly how we wanted it for our special night and they did that for us and then some. Everything about the venue was incredible. The food was amazing, the service was outstanding, the dj we were recommended had everyone off their feet. The bartenders never left anyone waiting, the beverages were top notch, before the last sip of our drinks were gone Sal already had another one in front of us so we didn’t miss a moment. Our guests are still reaching out to us raving about how good of a time they had, several stating it was the best all around wedding they’ve ever been to. We cannot thank Sal, Stephanie and the entire crew enough, and recommend them to the highest degree. We hope someone we know gets married there soon just so we can go back and enjoy the experience all over again!

We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Sal, Stephanie, and the entire team at Mohawk River. From day 1 of meeting them Sal was always incredibly kind, welcoming, and patient. Both him and his wife Stephanie went above and beyond the entire time that we worked with them to make both my husband and I, and both our families feel comfortable with everything, and to make sure we had everything we needed and wanted. Not only is the venue absolutely beautiful, but the food is made in house and is delicious. All our guests raved about both the food and the beauty of the venue. They also made recent renovations in the ballroom to open up the space, and added a bigger more modern bar. Along with an updated bridal suite, which is gorgeous. The renovations they have done are amazing and only enhanced an already beautiful venue. We are so incredibly happy with how every turned out, and can’t say enough good things about Sal and the entire team, and the venue itself. They made our dream wedding come true!

Do yourself a favor, and just go and book with them right now!It has been a month since my wedding and the guests are ALL still talking about it being the best wedding they have ever been to! Sal and Stephanie are the most amazing people to work with. I did not have to stress about anything. I cannot get over the attention to detail they both have. I only had to ask for something once and it was immediately taken care of. When you tour the venue, it already is the most beautiful space you could imagine, and then when you go and it is set up for your day it is somehow even more magical. I still don't know how they do all that they do, I am just in awe.Our day was truly a fairytale to me, and I know that is because of Sal, Stephanie, and their team. The first time we visited this venue, I immediately fell in love with the location. The grounds were absolutely beautiful! The foyer, cocktail reception room, and ball room impressed me the minute I saw them. My husband and I met with Sal, the Catering Manager and he was helpful throughout the entire process. He was friendly and really listened to what we were looking for. He made sure that all of our requests were met and made sure we had everything we needed. The reception was amazing from start to finish. I really enjoyed how the staff took care of us and our guests. The way the ballroom was decorated left me speechless and looked so beautiful. The food was amazing too. I only wish I had taken time to eat more of the food because it was the best food I'd ever tried. The quality of the food was the best of the best in my opinion. I'm beyond thrilled that I chose this location for our special day and would recommend to anyone who's looking for a great place to have your event. Even weeks after our reception, our friends and family are still talking about how it was the best reception they had been to. My mom said it was one of the classiest and most beautiful places she'd ever been to. A huge thank you to Sal and his staff for delivering a memorable experience and treating us like family.

The place is beautiful, the food is amazing, and the service is spot-on. We looked at several other venues before selecting Mohawk, and considering everything we got, we felt the price was extremely fair. Honestly, I can't imagine why you would want to go anywhere else, that's how much we loved it. HIGHLY recommend

9/17/22 Wedding - Best Venue in the Capital District!We were so incredibly happy to have had our wedding reception at Mohawk River Country Club and Chateau. It was the perfect venue for our September 17th wedding.We couldn't have been happier with the service. Deb truly went above and beyond to make sure every detail was taken care of. Deb, Sal, and Stephanie were extremely professional, welcoming, kind and made sure everything was perfect. We are so grateful to how attentive they all were! They recently updated the bridal suit. This is where the bridesmaids and moms got ready. It is absolutely stunning and made for the perfect getting ready pics with the bridesmaids and a nice place to hang out with our bridal party. The reception space is BEAUTIFUL and the perfect size and layout. We were very impressed with the wait staff - they were professional, polite, and made sure we had everything we needed. We are foodies! And could go on and on about how delicious the food was. The cocktail hour is slamming! There is so much food included. We mingled with our guests during cocktail hour because we did not want to miss out. Everyone was raving about all of the food and how delicious it was! We also added the dessert bar onto our package. If you add this onto your package, they reopen the cocktail hour area and have a plethora of desserts and dessert drinks! If you have a sweet tooth, we highly recommend this! Everyone loved this!! We couldn't be happier with this venue and highly recommend it. If you decide to have your event at Mohawk, you will be in EXCELLENT hands!!!

She was always willing to meet with us, answer questions, and sincerely cares about all of the couples she works with. She went above and beyond to make sure that we had everything we wanted and that we were happy, she was fair, friendly and she pays attention to detail. All of the staff at Mohawk were pleasant and accommodating, for our special day. We had a guest who had a knee injury at home the day before, and the venue staff went out of the way to make sure she was comfortable at our wedding. All of our guests raved about the quality of the food and the portion size, they still talk about the food weeks later, and how beautiful the venue was. Overall, we have heard from our guests it is the best wedding people have attended, and that's thanks to the wonderful staff at Mohawk Country Club.

UNPROFESSIONAL. We set up an appointment to meet with Debra A. Scensny (General Manager) to discuss my upcoming wedding. Via email Debra was very kind and congratulatory. In person, however, she was cold and unprofessional, rude even. We arrive approximately 5-10 minutes before our scheduled appointment and found our way upstairs to the main office. Once there we noticed that others were in the office (another couple, I assumed). We approached the open door and several people looked up but no one greeted us. I hesitantly said, \"Hello, we are here for our 3 o'clock appointment\". Debra (I assume, since she did not introduce herself) told us they were \"running about 10 minutes behind\" and told us we could go downstairs and take a look around. We occupied about 10-15 minutes with wandering the venue and looking at the rooms we assumed were for weddings. At no point did anyone (including Debra) come down to let update us, so we were under the assumption that it would only be 10 minutes as stated. By 3:20pm it is still not looking like the previous couple is any closer to being finished (we can see the main office through a window from the lobby below) and my fiancee and I start to wonder if we should go back upstairs. By 3:30pm there is still no movement in the upstairs office indicating that the previous couple (now a 1/2 hour over their time) is wrapping up. And still no one who Works There has even acknowledged us, aside from the terse directions to \"look around\" downstairs. So we got up and left without telling Debra we were going, since we did not feel at all welcome in the establishment. The previous couple was given plenty of time and then some. The previous couple was also a straight couple with a male and female, while myself and my fiancee are both female. Since Debra was overly accommodating via email but rude and unprofessional once she met my fiancee and I, I have choice other than to believe the Mohawk River Country Club is non-inclusive of LGBT couples.

My sister got married in 2008 at the Hiland Park Country Club up in the Lake George area, and I had never been to a more impressive wedding: the scenery and venue were BEAUTIFUL, the food, drink, and service were outstanding... it really was a perfect day.So when I was getting married just a couple years later, I knew I wanted the same type of experience but didn't want to get married at the exact same place. Enter Mohawk River Country Club, which is owned by the same family.My husband and I could not have asked for or dreamed of a more AMAZING wedding day. The venue itself is stunning, with well-manicured landscaping, lush flower beds, and a picturesque pond with waterfall; the decor inside was simple and elegant, which was exactly what we wanted; all our photos came out beautifully. Getting ready was great, as they have a HUGE, private bridal suite. The food was beyond compare in both quantity and quality. Many of our guests thought our cocktail hour was dinner due to the amount and variety of food available. The reception and dinner both ran seamlessly, with exceptional service from the staff. We also had Mohawk River take care of our desserts, and I cannot begin to express how impressive that was! Again, both the quantity and quality of the spread was beyond imagination. I would HIGHLY recommend Mohawk River County Club to any couple looking for a wedding venue. You will not be disappointed.

The food and drinks were amazing, our guests could not rave enough about it. Cocktail hour was absolutely spectacular and I want to be invited to a wedding there just to be able to enjoy it more. I could not recommend this venue more to anyone looking to plan their big day. You will not be disappointed and neither will your guests! All of this, with a reasonable and affordable price. When we first visited the venue I instantly fell in love. It's everything I imagined for my wedding day! Rafael and Debbie make sure every little detail is in place!! They were very flexible to work with. It was very obvious that they want the couple to be happy on their wedding day and they go to great lengths to ensure that you are! Myself, my husband and my entire family were very impressed with how smoothly the day ran. This venue not only has a gorgeous area outside for a ceremony or pictures but it also has a beautiful back up plan for bad weather in the gorgeous ballroom. And brides if you plan on getting ready at the venue, good luck finding a more spacious and elegant bridal suite! You will surely feel like a princess on your wedding day! The food is fantastic and there is WAY MORE than enough to make sure all your guests leave full! I couldn't be happier with how our wedding day turned out thanks to Rafael and Debbie! There were many reasons to have our wedding at the Mohawk. We fell in love with the beautiful atmosphere. Everything was gorgeous. Debbie seemed attentive to our vision for our wedding & was personable. Many promises were made for our big day, we felt like we had an understanding. Many people told us wonderful things about Mohawk that we felt comfortable/confident with choosing them. Unfortunately, many promises were not kept & many details were overlooked. Two months before our big day, Debbie was not as responsive with returning calls. However, when we met a few days prior we went over the final details & everything seemed in order. The day before the wedding, we asked Debbie to swap out one of the table cards. She never swapped out the card, we had to. The table cloths were not as discussed, they were the wrong color. The food menu was not what we discussed either. We needed two vegan options, discussed as white wine garlic sauce with pasta, mushrooms, & eggplant, not red sauce. This was for the my wife & our matron of honor. Yet, when these restrictions were brought to the waiter's attention, he looked clueless. The vegan options came out thirty minutes later, which cut into our reception time. When the vegan options were served, the food consisted of bow tie pasta, a red sauce likely from a can/jar, & frozen mixed vegetables. My dish was not as discussed, it was supposed to be chicken parm. The brides father was not given the correct food, which was required due to health restrictions. A bridesmaid was not given ginger ale due to being pregnant, as discussed & was unable to toast with us. Debbie was more preoccupied with giving a tour 2 hours before our event to prospective customers. Due to these errors Mohawk made, we have left several phone messages & emails to refund four dinners, which seems reasonable. They have not returned our phone calls or emails. We're so disappointed, for what we paid these major details shouldn't have been overlooked.

Having your wedding ceremony and reception at Mohawk River Country Club means having two built in wedding planners. From beginning to end, Rafael and Debbie did everything in their power to make everything look and run amazing and smooth. They are quick to respond to emails and voice mails, and can help with every detail. I am in graduate school, so I was even able to drop all of my stuff for them to set up 2 weeks before the wedding before my semester started! It really took the stress off wedding planning while in school knowing it was taken care of. Also, my husband's military orders changed our original date, and they were more than willing to be flexible and help us pick a new date that worked for us. The food there is amazing, everyone left the wedding stuffed. The venue includes food, open bar, ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception, along tables and chairs, linens, the ability to rent center piece stands and other commodities as needed. They even have a photo booth that you can use if you go under your minimum price required! My husband and I were highly satisfied with our wedding, and I was so glad to have Rafael and Debbie help me plan the wedding, as my husband was on military orders for our entire engagement.

Having your wedding ceremony and reception at Mohawk River Country Club means having two built in wedding planners. From beginning to end, Rafael and Debbie did everything in their power to make everything look and run amazing and smooth. They are quick to respond to emails and voice mails, and can help with every detail. I am in graduate school, so I was even able to drop all of my stuff for them to set up 2 weeks before the wedding before my semester started! My wedding day was August 29th, 2014. Debbie and Rafael did an incredible job in EVERY way possible. \r\rThe girls and I were there bright and early at 11am for a 630 pm ceremony. We had use of the whole building, which came in very handy. My 5 hairstylists and makeup artist had more than enough room to get hair/makeup done for myself, 7 bridesmaids, and both mothers. EVEN Debbie got her hair and makeup done for my special day! It was my little way of repaying her for all of her help! \r\rDebbie kept track of the time and made sure everything else was going according to plan. She def got a workout that day between making sure the gilrs had anything and everything they needed and at the same time making sure that everything was being set up to my expectations down in the ball room. \r\rA very tight ship is run at Mohawk River Country Club which put my mind at ease. I knew that every detail would be handled, and if there was a problem or issue - it would be resolved quickly. \r\rThe amount of food for the cocktail hour was outstanding!!! Most guests thought that was actually dinner becasue there was soo much of it. People were almost too full to eat the \"real\" meal of beef and chicken. I didnt get to enjoy too much of it because Tim and I were out taking pics, but the guests and bridal party loved it! I think if I could do it over again - and if they would let it happen- I would cut out the formal dinner and extend the cocktail hour to 2 hrs. That way there, Tim and I could mingle with the guests more and there would be more time for dancing! \r\rDebbie always made sure that everyone in the bridal party always had a drink in their hand and was always asking what she could do to help in anyway! I'm pretty sure she was even making sure that the guests had everything that they needed as well. \r\rThere isn't enough words to express how helpful Debbie and all the staff were at MRCC. Having confindence in them totally took the extra stress off of me of wondering how the day was goind to go and if everything was perfect. It was and then some! \r\rTim and I are very happy with the choice that we made to have both our ceremony and reception at MRCC. Our experience made our wedding day even better than we thought it could be! \r

The staff at Mohawk River Country Club was amazing to work with. They were thoughtful and made sure every detail was attended to. I can't say enough about working with them. Our guest haven't stopped talking about how amazing the food was. The cocktail hour was incredible and most people didn't have room for dinner. It was so good they just stuffed themselves!

The Mohawk River Country Club was an amazing venue My husband and our parents looked at this and 2 other venues. This was by far the best choice. The people are very friendly and easy to communicate with. The venue itself is beautiful...inside and out. The cocktail hour was absolutely the most amazing I have ever seen. Anything you could possibly want to eat and drink. And plenty of room to seat all your guests. How many places can do that?! Which was all separate from the main ballroom. They handled all the decor besides what we brought ourselves and the lightening that our DJ provided. Our guests were blown away by the food at the cocktail hour. They had no idea there was still a formal sit down dinner to come. Most said they were already stuffed. You can't say there isn't plenty of food. \r\rThere was only one complaint we all had. That was that my father in law is deathly allergic to tree nuts. From the first meeting with Debbie to the last meeting with Rafael Jr, we had repeated and re-iterated the fact that this needed to be a nut free wedding. Anything in the main meals that would normally have any kind of nuts in it, should and had to be LEFT OUT. Turns out that was not the case. There was dishes of nuts displayed out on tables, which we brought to their attention and we thought it was over at that point. Then the salad prior to dinner came out with walnuts on it. Needless to say my family was not very happy with this and my father-in-law basically ate nothing all night in fear that something else might have nuts in it that was not suppose to. \r\rSo if you have some serious food allergies, that would the only thing i would be worried about. Other than that the venue was wonderful
