First, we absolutely loved this restaurant before deciding to host our rehearsal dinner there, so the bar was already set high for Moody’s to deliver & show our guests why we love this place so much. They absolutely blew it out the park. We had a 40 person family style rehearsal dinner followed by a 90 person cocktail reception in their private room. The food, drinks, staff, and ambience were outstanding. Julia was a joy to work with & had an “anything’s possible” type of attitude. Thank you Moody’s, we will see you very soon! <3 elle & blake

My husband and I got married June 2022 in Truckee, CA. We had a casual and intimate ceremony in the woods followed by a reception at Moody's. Moody's was SUCH a treat to work with - we got to curate our menu and add additions that aren't typically served there (we had an oyster bar!). All of our guests time and time again tell us that it was one of their favorite experiences and venues. The servers were all lovely and the food was delicious - it was also great because we got a live band to perform on the bandstand. They made the evening so special for us and we are beyond grateful!

Moody's was amazing for the Rehearsal Dinner! Was my son & now daughter in law's wedding rehearsal and couldn't have asked for more. The room was the perfect size (no AC in old building, but that's ok) set up and ready for us when we arrived. Fantastic service staff, attentive without being intrusive. Family style menu was incredible and plentiful. Every dish seemed to be better than the last, and that is saying a lot since the first was delicious. Absolutely everyone raved about the evening. Don't tell management, but truly worth twice what they charged!!

Meet the Moody's Team
Julia Murphy (Coordinator) Julia got her start in the wedding industry on the East Coast. Working for a restaurant that catered to weddings big and small, she was able to learn the intricacies of planning the perfect event as well as finding her passion for seeing people smile on their big day. After moving to Truckee 8 years ago, she was unable to find a place that felt like a perfect place to host a wedding until she started working at Moody's. The combination of everything Moody's has to offer made her realize it was the perfect fit.
